I think you can get ANY box, does not have to be Fedex. But if you want specifically Fedex, go to fedex.com and find local stores – and go buy there.

Picking up package at UPS/FedEx?

If my package is being held at the local UPS/FedEx facility (because I wasn’t able to sign for it), is it possible to send someone there in my place (with the same last name and address as me on their license) and have them pick up the package?

Well, certainly with Fedex its possible. Fedex delivers to an *address*, not to a *name*.
And yes, anyone with the same last name that can show they are associated with your address (picture id, cable bill, rental agreement, etc) can pick up the package from the facility.
UPS would have to operate in much the same way.

Can fedex deliver early?

My package is 15 miles from my house and it via fedex I’m sure FedEx will transport it to my local post office so could I get it tomorrow with regular mail it’s estimated delivery is this Monday is it possible

It depends on the level of service it was shipped with,
FedEx Home delivery is delivered by fedex drivers on Saturdays.
FedEx ground (business) does not deliver on Saturdays.
FedEx air (2 & 3 day versions) don’t generally deliver on Saturdays
The blended versions (last mile by the post office) may deliver on Saturday
For FedEx overnight it would already be there unless it was shipped on Friday.

If they say it’s going to be delivered Monday there is a reason, but without knowing what service level it was shipped with I can’t give you a real answer

Fedex package to USPS?

Is it alright to drop off my Fedex package at USPS post office?The reason I’m asking this because USPS is closer to my house and Fedex is pretty far to get there. Since I need to return my rental book with Fedex shipping only.

No it is not. USPS does not handle the processing of FedEx parcels so it would go to the postal distribution center where it might sit for a few days before a FedEx driver picks it up. There is an arrangement with FedEx where the Postal Service delivers some FedEx packages, but that operates a different way and we don’t sort each others stuff.

However, some post offices have a FedEx drop box out front for your convenience. Also, you can drop off at one of the office chains, such as Staples and Office Max. Packages are picked up there by the regular FedEx driver who is in that neighborhood.

Ive been trying to log onto facebook for a couple of hours now. everythime i put in my info and click sign in a new page comes up and it says “https://www.facebook.com/login.php?login_attempt=1″ is anyone else having this problem? can anyone explain why this is happening?

I have been trying to login to facebook for over 2 days now and I keep getting the “Hey, your account is temporarily unavailable due to site maintenance. It should be available again within a few hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.” message. Anyone know whats going on?

It happened to me also, and it took a while for my facebook to come back up. Give it a few more days and then i would complain to facebook about it.

I thought of closing my facebbok account . before few days i thought of closing it , i changed my password which i forgot after a day . the ymail id which i used to login facebook was closed as i didnt used it for more than 3 months. Now i cant reset my password . I wanted to close the account . For more than 1 year i hadnt beeb able to close it
i didnt foget my yahoo password instead it has been closed by the community as i havent opned it for more than 3 months

Go to ymail account or reset your password given by your information. Then send password recovery request from your facebook account. Go to your ymail account and click the recovery link and set your new password.

When I login to Facebook on my I Phone with my username and password it looks like it might login but it just goes to a blank page and on the Search bar up top it show the word “Untitled”. I dont know what to do… 🙁 and Ive also done the cookies and cache thing

Fedex Home Delivery is fedex ground service…So it depends on how far you live from the shipper. It should take no longer than 5 business days

If I buy a package monday, and the shipping I bought was fedex express Overnight and the person said I am suppose to get it by tomorrow afternoon around 3pm but the tracking number he gave me says there isnt any information for the package on fedex‘s website. Doesn’t fedex update their thing?

Michelle answers:

Just because you bought the package on Monday doesn’t mean that it was shipped on monday. All overnight shipping means is that the shipping part of the process occurs overnight. What you are not seeing is the process of “handling”. Someone still has to take your product off a shelf, box it up and give it to the shipper which takes time (and gives some unscrupulous companies an opportunity to charge extra for “expedited handling”). Unless it’s been given to the shipper and processed, that clock hasn’t started. Also, Fedex and others tend to offer customers pre-approved shipping tracking numbers (so they can print up their invoices and pre-print packing labels), which are generated by computer, for the service of giving you a means to track your package. If the package hasn’t been scanned in however by the Fedex agent, it obviously cannot be tracked and will result in an error when you check.

Finally, Fedex and other carriers often have a cutoff time for the overnight shipping, in which if it arrives in their hands after that time, it gets delivered the next day after.

What the person said, and what he did may also be two different things. If he didn’t get it in in time, you have to wait. Ultimately, you have to figure out whether he was being honest with you about putting it in on time, whether some Fedex driver forgot to scan, or whether or not your package has been lost in the system. It’s an imperfect system, but it works most of the time.

FedEx “Initiated” help.?

According to Fedex my Package was initiated on the 23rd and it has been stuck like that ever since. They say that the expected delivery date is on the 27th. How can it be the 27th if it’s still initiated? Are they slow at scanning the item? I’m worried it won’t arrive by the 27th because I need it the 28th. Help?
Actually UPS is very high in reliability. I’ve NEVER had a problem with them and they update quickly. They also have Many early deliveries. lol

The FEDEX tracking system is a joke. I have had packages arrive before they were entered as shipped, and have had them show as “delivered” four days before the truck actually came.

Sadly, there isn’t a reliable delivery service anymore. USPS is hopeless, and UPS is worse than FEDEX.

What happened to my Fedex package?

Hello, I bought a very expensive product from Newegg about 9 or 10 days ago. It is using Fedex Smartpost for shipping. I got a Fedex tracking number, and the package is supposed to ship to Pennsylvania. The tracking info was last updated a week ago, and it was still in Los Angeles then. The estimated delivery date was yesterday, and now it just says ‘N/A’ for estimated delivery. I called Fedex, and they said it was probably given to the USPS to deliver, but there are no records from USPS of this.

Is my package okay? Could it just be taking a very long time to ship? I need it by Christmas!

“I called Fedex, and they said it was probably given to the USPS to deliver, but there are no records from USPS of this.”

Ask Fedex for the tracking code that USPS assigned to the package.

Also complain to Newegg about this; they contracted with Fedex, not USPS, for the shipment of your particular package.

FedEx Ground travels by truck all the way. That distance would probably be a 3 day lane (“lane” is an industry term). That does not mean you will get your package in 3 days. You must also include the time needed for the shipper to process your order, and actually call FedEx for a pick up.

The fedex colors are green for ground meaning it goes by ground the road not air. Fedex orange means next day 2nd day costing more money for shipping!

No. FedEx does not delivery on Saturday, unless you specifically request, and pay extra for, Saturday delivery. FedEx 2nd day (without paying extra for Saturday delivery) means 2nd business day, which would be Tuesday, if it was sent on Thursday.

Any app that I install on my S3 that can use a facebook login won’t work. It will just crash and go back to the start screen. Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

And then Reboot your phone.
And by the way some applications have bugs so they can’t link with facebook account.

Was Next Food Network Star fixed by the network?

Possible spoiler alert: If you don’t want a tip off as to who wins then don’t read.

The semi-final episode where they decided to carry all 3 contestants into the finals was suspicious considering it was pretty clear to me which two should have advanced after the poor performance of the third. Now that Food Network accidently revealed the results of the final episode before it airs and the winner is the person who should have went home, it sure seems like they had the winner selected at least 2 weeks ago.

Sorry the link no longer works. Food Network had posted interviews on the contestants pages. Adam and Lisa’s were labeled “exit interviews” while Aaron’s was labeled “Winning Moment”.

It was fixed from the beginning. Aaron wasn’t spectacular in any episode and I sure as hell never saw this “great personality” that the judges were always touting about. In the semi final episode Aaron was described as having “7 great weeks, 1 really bad week.” Really??? I recall him and Adam serving undercooked eggs in episode 2. Granted, the food was Adam’s fault but Adam excelled in his presentation whereas Aaron bombed. Hardly a “great week”. His potato presentation in week 3 was so so, his fish was dry in week 4, in week 7 he wouldn’t have even finished his chicken parmesan without an assist from Lisa. So how does this translate to “7 great weeks”? The fact is he only had 1 great week, average to below average the rest. Now consider this, on the Rachel Ray episode where Aaron did great, who had the cutest, most adorable girl scout? Aaron did. That girl was so cute she could’ve made Nipa look good. Jump ahead 2 weeks to the semi final challenges. Guy Fieri was given charge over coaching Lisa and Adam on their promos while Bobby Flay coached Aaron. Let’s face it.. Guy sucked as a coach, in fact he was kinda like.. A jerk. On the other hand Aaron got some great personal coaching from Bobby Flay hmm.. Then they follow up with a controversial decision to bring all 3 of them into the finals despite the fact that there was 1 OBVIOUS loser for that challenge. Aaron put on the absolute worst performance EVER on this show and they can’t make the decision to send him packing?! And now you’re telling me the guy who got a free ride last week won the final challenge?? What a joke, please don’t insult my intelligence. Of the 3 pilot presentations, Adam’s presentation was the most creative and entertaining. Lisa’s presentation was just as good as Aaron’s, plus she came off as more knowledgeable about her food. Anyways, Gee! Big surprise when they announced Aaron as the winner. Thank you for watching “The Next Fixed Network Star.” 😛

Everyone is right, it was Shane. He did a very bad job on Rachel Ray’s show and didn’t even remember the poor little girls name. I felt bad for her because he ignored her the whole time.
I actually like Kelsey. She didn’t do very well last night because, imo, the judges are confusing her. They tell her to be more assertive and when she does, they shoot her down. But last night she didn’t do much as far as cooking and had the little girl and Rachel do all the work. However, I think she should win. She has a very upbeat personality and I think her youth would be a good additive to the Food Network. She def knows her food and has a very likeable personality.
Arron is OK but I think he is boring and doesn’t bring anything exciting to the table. He’s just sorta ‘there’. Lisa, although she has improved, is a little rough around the edges and is too stressed all the time. She makes me nervous and uneasy when I watch her. The funny guy, i think his name is Adam, doesn’t have the food knowledge to pull it off. Just my thoughts!
