Your Questions About The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

David asks…

Should I continue this relationship or not? please be honest.?

I’m in love with this lady ( we both teens) and she just happen to send me please-call-me messages and if I have air-time I call her. One evening I called her and we jumped into a conversation and she soon told me not to speak the language I was speaking but my native language (we both from same country) , so I did as she told me. Not long I heard a voice asking her, ” Who’s calling”, she told the lady that it’s her brother – hiding my identity. Today she called and told me that she’s in trouble – her foster parents called her bro and asked if he was the one who called her and he replied, “no!” So they questioning her to reveal the caller’s identity and she’s refusing to do so .well, this thing is now complicated – the foster parent tells her that her behavior is strange – she’s always tired. Today she took her to a doctor for a pregnancy test ( lol, I’ve never slept with her) but just feel comfortable next to one another. Since I’ve found out now that the parent whom she stays with is her foster parent; I have a feeling of fear – when the news gets to my parents or to whom it does not matter, they might think I’m taking advantage of the fact that she’s raised by a foster – an old lady in her 50s. So I wonder if I should continue this relationship. But my heart dies when it looks at the side of neglecting her for no good reason. I love her so much and I know she love me too! It’s just so natural – she makes me do things that I never thought I’d for someone who’s not sister. Please advice me guys – it’s hard for me and I’m stressed! But when time’s alright I do not mind to marry her – she’s special and losing her will make me sick – not seeing her for weeks makes me lose weight and people ask if I am ok- my heart pumps faster.

Michelle answers:

Changing my career path in life? Advice? Help?

I had, up until now, planned on being either a midwife or a doula. I love pregnancy, childbirth and babies and have always wanted to work in that field. However, I’m not a fan of hospitals and I have always dreamed I would one day have the natural birth for myself.. So, I wanted to help others achieve that aswell. Now that I have been looking into the salary, it is near impossible to support myself on a doula or midwife’s salary! However, nurses make $30,000 to $45,000 starting off! I would like to work in the maternity ward. I don’t know the proper name for that kind of nurse.

At the university I’m looking at (it’s about 30 mins away, I could go to school there and be able to save money by still living at home) I’m on the page about tuition.. It says the undergraduate is $1166 for a 6 credit course, or $583 for a 3 credit course. Then it says nursing is $1278 for a 6 credit course and $639 for a 3 credit course. I don’t get this, if I am going to become a nurse right out of high school (which is what an undergraduate is if I’m not mistaken?) why is there two spots for nursing and undergraduate?

Where I live high school is grades 10-12, I’m currently in grade 10 and I’m 17.. I have 4 credits from the previous semester (Mi’kmaq Studies, PAL (Gym), Family Studies, & Art) and I am working towards my next 4 (Science 10A, English AP, Math Foundations, & Career Development (it’s a course to build your portfolio, it gives you First Aid training, WHMIS training, Occupational Health & Safety training, etc. It’ll also help me pick my grade 11 & 12 courses when I figure out my career path (I have 2-3 months left to do so)

I don’t want to work with sick people (I am definitely not a germaphobe but when I go into hospitals I make sure I don’t touch anything and make sure to sanitize my hands at every opportunity..) or old people (I don’t have anything utterly AGAINST the elderly but I don’t want to change adult diapers, etc. Like I mentioned, I have more of a thing towards babies and mothers-to-be.) I think it’s called a neonatal nurse but I’m not 100% sure. I would also like to be a lactation consultant/breastfeeding specialist.. I was going to be that along with a midwife/doula when I was considering that but sometimes you need to put money ahead to make it in life, right?

Overall, please explain how I get from HERE to THERE and if I should stick to my guns about being a doula or midwife, or, should I become a nurse/neonatal nurse/baby nurse?

Michelle answers:

Well, it would be your choice, being a midwife is also a challenging jobs as well as a nurse..both are challeinging jobs and i like it..but seems you need to know the both strenght and weeknesses so that you could decide which one you would chose then and you need a consultants on it…try to check below..good luck

Does anyone know what Penta-3B is?

I’ve had 8 miscarriages…more recently in September, December & May (3) with my fiance. I went to my Doctor’s today and she said I have a vitamin deficiency and once I found out I’m pregnant that I have to start taking Penta-3b threw out the hole pregnancy.
I tried looking it up online and found nothing. I wanted to know if anyone has ever heard of this and what it is suppose to do while pregnant?
Thanks a bunch for your advice.
In 2004 I was 22 years old got operated on cos I had endometriosis stage 4
I take syn-thyroid (thyroid) because I have a thyroid problem & just started taking acid folic called Euro-Folic 5mg- I have a weak uterus and after my recent miscarriage 17th of May 2009 I drink red raspberry tea leafs once a day all natural, it’s Tea I just drink it.

Jenny.
Yah that would help to call her back.
Its cos I don’t have a enough vitamins she told me.
I guess it will help me stay pregnant.

Michelle answers:

Aww, Jenny I’m so sorry about your difficult time with the miscarriages. It’s great that the doc has pinpointed what the issues are, but there is very little information out there on Penta3 B, as I’m sure you are aware. I believe it is a complex of vitamin b’s, there are a few – B1, B2, B6 and B12 that any combination may be out of balance. The Folic Acid you’re taking is a definite necessity for the pregnancy, to avoid spina bifida, and you should be taking a prenatal multivitamin as well. (Check with your doc though on if it’s okay to take this with the penta vitamin…)
Hope everything goes well, and just a word of caution, what Red Raspberry Leaf tea does is it get the uterus prepared for birth by causing contractions – I’ts kind of like contraction excersize that you don’t feel any pain with – many herbalists will recommend holding off on it until your last month of pregnancy, the you can drink it 3 times a day till birth, and it’s great post birth as well. Speak with a naturopath or an herbalist or a natural health food store professional to be sure…
Good luck and all the best!

Advice on Spaying our Chihuahua -?

We have an extremely cute & beloved little female chihuahua just over a year old – we are debating on spaying her – on the one hand, we are told we’ll have so much less problems with no heat cycles, bleeding, no chance for accidental pregnancy, and later in her life they say there is a much reduced risk of tumors, growths, cancers, etc, if we have her spayed. But we are torn because she is such a wonderful sweet dog, we were thinking she would be great to breed and have some puppies at some point. We have no experience in breeding a dog or having puppies. So we just don’t know what to do right now – Can some of you with experience in both directions give us some advice based on your experiences ? I would hate to see her life span shortened with tumors/cysts/cancer if we don’t have her spayed. Its so sad though to know she’d never have the ability to have some cute little puppies, she is such a sweet female, a natural mothering type, and an extremely beautiful chihuahua also. Thanks for any advice !!!

Michelle answers:

Hi,

Females get the spay surgery, which removes the ovaries and uterus, and will keep your dog from getting pregnant. It’s major surgery but your dog will only be affected for a few days or maybe a week. After that, she’ll then enjoy many health benefits and neither of you will have to deal with her being in heat.

Here’s more info and some guidelines which may help:

Hope this helps.
