Any teen mums/mums to be?

Im 17 and 24 weeks pregnant.
Is anyone else a pregnant teen or teen mum?
I have a 19 year old boyfriend who works as a mechanic.
I work at coles part-time.
We are expecting a boy and are almost certain of the name Mason Andrew.

We recently decorated his room with a cars theme.
We were given a cot off my boyfriends cousin and we are currently saving for a car seat.

It’s definately tough, but I’m planning it all out so everything will be ready for when he arrives.

Our son was a ‘surprise’ (the condom broke) and people on the street are always looking at me disapprovingly but I wouldn’t trade my son for anything in the world!

We are taking it day by day and my boyfriend is sooooo supportive!

We live an hour from family and friends – because of my boyfriends job, but we are making it work.
My mum visits almost every weekend and tells me about all the stuff she has been looking up on the internet lol.

I have planned to have a natural birth in a birthing centre where there is a doctor if I need it, and gas if i need that too 🙂
I am definately scared about the pain (who isn’t?) but I can’t wait to meet my son!

I would love to hear about others personal experiences.. pregnancy, labour, birth, whatever…

Cat: Pregnant or Not?

We decided to take in a pregnant cat for my sister’s friend until she gives birth. The cat is only 6 months old, and she is slightly fatter. Everywhere I read said the nipples should get pinker and larger. But they haven’t, and the friend said she took the cat to the vet and he told her you wouldn’t see many signs of her pregnancy because she’s so young and it’s her first litter.

I don’t know if I should believe the cat’s pregnant, because the only sign is her slightly fatter stomach. She is very affectionate, but I don’t know the cat, so that could just be her natural behavior.

Also, the friend said the cat should give birth within the month, maybe a week later.

Anyone feed Halo Spot’s Stew dry formulas? Or at least bought a bag before?

I’m now on my second bag of Halo Spot’s Stew Salmon Recipe. I bought it after I was feeding CA Natural Lamb and rice, and one day about a month ago my dogs were completely out of food so I went to the store and they were out out of it. I was in a hurry (was running late to a wedding), and so I picked up small bag of Halo to tide them over because one of my dogs has food allergies an it was the only other food I could find that didn’t have any of the ingredients she’s allergic to in it.

Anyway, long story short, they absolutely LOVE the food. Their coats are in the best shape I’ve ever seen them in, nice stools, and they would always eat every bite of it (which is unusual for them).

So when they ran out of food again, I decided to pick up another bag of Halo. But oddly, this time, they don’t seem to want to touch it. Also, my older dog started having loose stools. Then I looked closer at the food, and there appears to be massive amounts of some type of herb–it looks like either parsley or possibly oregano–in it. I know Halo has the freeze dried stuff in it, that’s not what I’m seeing. There is literally so much in there that after they’re done eating, their bowls are just covered in leftover green herb flakes!

I tried mixing the food up to see if maybe all the herbs just fell to one side during shipping or something, but nope, there’s equally massive amounts throughout the whole bag. There’s so much in there that even though it’s salmon recipe food, all I smell when I smell it is an overwhelming aroma of herbs, and if I handle the food, my hands reek of herbs and are stained green slightly. The other bag wasn’t like that at all, I remember it actually smelled like salmon.

Is this how the food normally is? I can’t find any herbs listed in the ingredients (unless I’m just being blind or it’s an herb that I’ve never heard of). I just wanna know if this bag was a fluke and got way too much herbs put in it, or the first bag was a fluke and somehow didn’t end up with any it.

I emailed Halo about it, but so far they haven’t responded.

Can your location cause more frequent vaginal infections? IS this yeast or BV?

I moved to a different state about 4 years ago. I became pregnant with my 3 year old shortly after and since then have suffered from more frequent BV and Yeast infections. The doctors don’t always even find anything on the smear, but I constantly have an odor now which was NEVER a problem before. (The nurse suggested this might be my “natural odor”, I was mortified.) Seriously, I have even been complimented by past partners for never having a smelly problem. And yes, I have been tested 2x in 3 years for every STD!
As you can imagine, in 3 1/2 yrs I have tried everything! Rx, OTC, douching (new for me), not douching, vaginal wipes, no baths, non fragranced vaginal soaps, suppositories, changing my diet, changing my panties, wearing panty liners, having my IUD removed, etc. The only thing I haven’t tried is garlic or vinegar, but if I am having odor (not fishy) with no itching, irritation, burning, or any thing else it seems silly to add a stinky item to the mix. I am at an utter loss here and my sex life with my hubby is suffering along with my self confidence. I just gave birth to my third son 6 weeks ago and I am breastfeeding. This problem continued during the pregnancy and postpartum. HELP PLEASE!!!!
