Your Questions About The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Linda asks…

Chances of a healthy pregnancy ?

Well I have had two healthy pregnancies resulting in my nearly 4 yr old daughter and the other pregnancy resulting in my boy girl twins who are 18 months old they were meant to be triplets but we lost one unfortunately at 8 weeks gestation they were delivered via c section my first was a natural birth.
We got prganancy when my twins were 12 months old by accident and sadly ended in miscarriage then again straight afterwards and ended in yet another miscarriage 🙁 we tried again in jan and now at nearly 7 weeks going three yet another heart break 🙁
We have always wanted a fourth baby but we can’t keep a pregnancy viable 🙁
Has any one had a successful pregnancy after 3 losses?? Could a c section scar cause problems with implantation or the viability of a pregnancy??
I was on clomid for my twins but that was due to a reaction to the pill shot!!
I can ovulate obviously but can’t a prganancy going 🙁
We are getting tests etc done now, what will they test us for??
we are only in our mid 20’s so age isn’t a factor.
Any advice is much appreciate xx

Michelle answers:

Sorry to hear about your loss. You can still get pregnant after a c-section and after misscariages. Stress is a major factor so you need to relax more and eat healthy, reduce the stress in your life and carry on. It is advised that if you don’t get pregnant after a year or two of trying then to seek medical advice.

Mary asks…

What are your views on abortion?

I’m just wondering everyone’s opinion on abortion today after the women protesters were arrested.
So, what’s your view on abortion?

Personally, I believe every excuse for an abortion is legitimate.

Was it a baby through rape? The child would be a constant reminder of the pain, suffering, torment, embarrassment and emotional torture the woman suffered for the rest of her life.

Will the child be deformed or have a genetic disorder? She is preventing the child from living a harrowing, painful and uncomfortable life, possibly dying early and never getting to experience life – only suffering and enduring ridicule from peers.

Was it an accident/she doesn’t want the kid? She would never treat the child as if it were one she wanted. It would suffer a degree of neglect and never truly be loved by her.

A woman has the right to have sex with whomever and how many times she wants. Sex is a purely natural, wonderful event and no one should have to withhold such pleasure simply because of the social stigma of “not keeping her legs shut” that only old fashioned, prudish and religious zealots believe. She also has the right over her womb. She does not have to go through pregnancy, childbirth and raising a child if she does not want to. If the child is unwanted, why give birth to it? Of course she may give it up for adoption, and some people do, but then the child may never know its real mother and can suffer in an orphanage.

Michelle answers:

I don’t really have a definitive answer for you. I believe that right and wrong exist….and abortion falls into the wrong category. However, it would be difficult to completely do away with medical procedures to end pregnancy because that would mean some women would end up getting it done on the black market or trying to cause an abortion on their own. That doesn’t seem like a great solution either unfortunately.

I do think when abortions are easy to get women who might not get one otherwise will and do. That’s a major downside to having abortions being made too easily accessible.

An abortion ends the life of an unborn child.

Ken asks…

Why are my girlfriend’s pregnancy tests still positive after having a miscarriage on February 15th, 2012?

My girlfriend is 23 years old and had a miscarriage on February 15th. It was horrific. She passed blood clots and her cramps were horrible. In fact she is still bleeding even this morning though not as heavy. Her last natural period was from January 1st til January 5th. And the one before that was from December 12th til 16th. Anyway, my girlfriend is on the birth control pill now. She takes it every single day and her pregnancy tests are still coming back positive! WTF is up with that? She has an appointment in 2 days to get a vaginal ultrasound and get her HCG levels tested. Do any of you ladies know what might be going on with her?

Michelle answers:

If I’m right she was only around 4 weeks pregnant when she had a miss on the 15th of Feb so her HCG levels should have been below 5 showing a negative on a pregnancy test well before now.

There is a possibility is was an incomplete miscarriage and in 2 days time they’ll suggest a D&C. So sorry for what you’ve both been through, very best of luck to her.

Sharon asks…

Should I do IUI or IVF?

DH & I have been TTC for 5 years. Had one natural pregnancy (without the help of meds) last year that ended in MC at 8 weeks. We are both 30 yrs old diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Did clomid for 3 months, great response to meds but no pregnancy. Did one IUI, again great response to meds. 5 good sized follicles but no pregnancy. Im contemplating of wether to do one more IUI & if it is not successful move on to the IVF or just go straight to IVF. I discussed it with DH & he left it up to me. Anyone going tthroughit or been through it have any advice? DH sperm count & motility really good & I do ovulate on my own.

Michelle answers:

Success rate of 1 IUI is 25-30% so do at least 3 – 4 times before you move up to IVF.

IVF is many times more costly yet success rate is far from 100% , may be 50-60% Good luck!
