Your Questions About Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Donald asks…

Bleeding and Pregnant?

Having been fighting my friend thinks that its okay to bleed after the first month when your pregnant. But years of health class told me that you lost your baby,
Can you please finish this?
Here’s the essay we have to answer for the final (in a summary)
“A 15 year old girl gets pregnant and never contacts a doctor with taking 2 pregnancy tests (positive). A month and week into when she should have her normal cycle she bleeds a irregular amount.
Has she lost the baby and is this normal?

My answer is-
Yes, she has had a natural abortion, and her cycle will return regular next month.

Is this true?

Michelle answers:

If she took a prego test and it was positive she should have went to the docotor. After a month into pregnancy and starting to bleed could be a number of things not nessicarily a misscariage. There is a number of reasons as to why she would have bled a month into pregnancy. Yes the number one answer would be misscariage but again you never know for sure till you go to the doctor and they tell you yes or no. Other reasons as to why you would bleed would be old blood backed up and finally releases ( yes this is true) hemeraging, a number of reasons to go. Again all of the other possibilities could lead to a misscariage yes but again you never know till a doctor tells you yes or no

James asks…

Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I am 23 years old and have recently been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. What are good natural herbs to take? Does anyone have any advice? I believe I gotten this after I had my first child and still very much want to have more but don’t know if thats apart of my future. I have read many stories are pregnancy while have RA. Everyday is a struggle… Today however I feel great!!!

Michelle answers:

I have RA and just turned 49 and am still mobile, no joint replacements. First signs of Arthritis, when I was 21, so guess I am doing well. Tired, but well. I saw a Rheumatologist who put me on Evening Primrose Oil and I now have this prescribed by my Physician and get it free. I really have not looked back since starting this snake oil, all those red hot swollen joints gone and I am active. I am not up on natural herbs, but I do know their is some link between cholesterol and inflammation, therefore keep to a low fat diet if you can.

Ken asks…

How do you reconcile being Catholic and using contraception?

I was born Catholic and religion is important to me, but at the same time, I don’t want to have too many children. I married my first boyfriend, and we’ve been married for 11 years. We have a 3 year old son and 8 1/2 month old twins. Life is full.

I know about Natural Family Planning. I have actually used it to get pregnant, but never used it to avoid pregnancy. I’m afraid about it not be effective.

I also know that using contraception is a mortal sin.

I am having internal conflict, because clearly the idea of contraception and Catholicism doesn’t mix.

If you are Catholic and uses contraception, how do you reconcile these within yourself?

Michelle answers:

Hi — I’ve been Catholic for almost 5 years, and I’ve been using NFP for 14 years because I can’t be on the pill for health reasons and because I have a latex allergy that makes barrier methods impossible.

I don’t have oodles of kids. My kids are 8, 5.5 and 4.

If you have used NFP to achieve pregnancy, then you know a lot about how your body works, and you know that you can’t get pregnant if you have sex when there is no egg available to fertilize. So really, you shouldn’t have so many doubts about NFP. Anyway, there are several different NFP systems — the one you were using might not give you so much confidence, but another one that is really scientific, like the Creighton Model, would. And if you are really worried about getting pregnant, you pad the “assumed fertile” days by an extra day or two in either direction.

There really is no good way for a Catholic to “reconcile” him/herself to committing a mortal sin on an ongoing basis. A mortal sin is a mortal sin, and you just never know when you will be suddenly at the end of your life without a chance to repent. Also, if you try to convince yourself that committing a mortal sin is okay because of your situation, you risk developing a malformed conscience, which makes it easier for you to commit other sins in other areas of your life.

Look, it is a sacrifice to obey this teaching when you are in a situation where you need to avoid pregnancy. But as you know, sacrificing something for the sake of Christ is not a bad thing. It’s actually a very good thing to do, and He will honor you for the sacrifice.

im looking for anyone thats had recurrent m/c then successful pregnancy but im also very interested in natural ways to get my body better ie homeopathy

little info about me im married we have a 18 month old im currently going gym and have become fitter i weigh 98kg and 168cm

any advice or info would be appreciated
i was diagnosed PCOS almost a year ago iv had pelvic examinations internally with a ultrasound too

Michelle answers:

I had four miscarriages before my first baby. It turned out that there was one hormone my body wasn’t making properly, so I had to take it by medication through my pregnancies. Once they discovered the cause of my miscarriages, it was simple to solve. I now have 3 lovely children and one on the way!

The fact that you already have one baby shows that your body can carry a baby to term. That is good news, and I wish you well as you pursue answers.
