11 wks pregnant, bad headaches, any natural remedies?
so I am 11 wks pregnant with my second child…I was doing ok, just really tired, and having some nauseous moments, but good…then last week at 10 weeks I started to get bad tension headaches and migraines, and I know you can take tylenol, so I pretty much have been taking it almost everyday, the only thing is, it’s not working for me anymore…do you know of any natural remedies I can use while pregnant to ease this headache pain…it’s been almost 2 wks of it and I am getting really dragged out from it. I was reading that this was actually quite a normal time in pregnancy to get headaches because of all the raging hormones, but the tylenol is just not cutting it, please help with your natural remedies! Thanks!

I was having horrible headaches when i was pregnant and was told when i visited the doctor that this was hormones and that also i was a bit dehydrated. So they had me lay off the caffeine which was kinda hard for me to do..but i did it and drank a ton of water and took plenty of naps. Sleep helped it everytime! Also stress could be causing this too so try to do some kind of calming routine. They have yoga for pregnant women or something like reading a book. I personally enjoy chicken soup for the mothers soul while i was pregnant. Always always be sure to rest as much as possible, take in plenty of fluids and relax whenever you can. This will help you the most!!

Pregnancy Headaches… Any advice?
I’ve been battling a headache for over a day now and regardless of what anyone says, I refuse take Tylenol, regardless of how “safe” it is, my baby doesn’t know what it is, and doesn’t need that crap in it’s innocent system while it’s trying to develop.
If anyone has had any luck with any natural remedies, I’d love to give them a shot! Negative comments WILL be reported, come on ladies, we’re all on the same page here, no need to be nasty because of the choices I make in my pregnancy.
Thank you.

I had really bad headaches in the beginning of my pregnancy. I asked my doctor, and she said take tylenol, but I agree with you about it. She also said to have some caffeine, but I really couldn’t do that either. As far as I got was a chocolate ice cream…so the best thing that worked for me were head massages and cool wet washcloths and lots of laying down time. Sorry if I didn’t help.

Need good advice for severe pregnancy headaches!?
Hello, I am just about 5 months pregnant and I am suffering from pretty severe tension/migraine headaches. My situation is a little crazy because I’m currently living in Argentina with my husband and we are expecting our first child. My doctor here has told me the only medicine I can take is this tylenol like med. that does not seem to even phase these headaches.
I’v been getting these headaches for about 1 month now and they feel like my head is in a drum, just pounding and pounding! I have tried the hot/cold wraps on my neck and massage just seems to make them worse! If I were in the States, I would seek advice from a holistic doctor, maybe some good natural remedies that I could try…but I’m here and I speak very little spanish and I’m about to loose my mind with these headaches!
If anyone has any ideas, maybe something unique that worked for them…any ideas about getting a hold on these headaches would be so very appreciated! Thanks!

I’m not sure that this will work for you but it’s a suggestion. I was having really bad headaches and they were being caused by tension because of my posture during pregnancy. I went to a chiropractor and had my neck and back realigned and it was almost like instant relief.

What can a pregnant woman take for headaches?
Tylenol is on my “safe list” of drugs OK to take during pregnancy, but I still just dont like to take pills since I am pregnant you know? What are some natural remedies? I thought I might be dehydrated but upon drinking lots of water I just pee alot more! Any other suggestions?
Michelle answers:
The headaches are normal, there awful, and i found nothing to help with them while i was pregnant. But tylonal is very safe. And if you can believe it so is vicodin and darvacet. So tylonal is on the lower end of the pain meds you can take. I was a little iffy about pills during my pregnancy but compared to vicodin tylonal is nothing so i felt pretty safe taking it every now and again
