Any natural remedies for pregnancy constipation?
I am 2 and a half months pregnant and suffer from constipation now and then. I was wondering if there were any natural ways to relieve constipation???
Michelle answers:
Drink milk that helped me but
• Eat high-fiber foods such as cereals, whole-grain breads, and fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Add a couple of tablespoons of unprocessed wheat bran (available at health food stores) to your cereal in the morning and follow it with a glass of water.
• Drink plenty of water — at least six to eight glasses a day. A glass of fruit juice every day, especially prune juice, can also be helpful.
• Exercise regularly. Walking, swimming, riding on a stationary bike, and yoga can all help ease constipation and leave you feeling more fit and healthy.
• Listen to your body. Never put off going to the bathroom when you feel the urge.
• Ask your healthcare provider about taking an over-the-counter fiber supplement or switching to an iron supplement with less iron.

What are some natural remedies for constipation during pregnancy?
I’m 7 weeks and have REALLY bad stomach pains because I haven’t had a bm in like 4 days! I’m really miserable but don’t wanna take medicine. Wondering what I could take, somethin natural, or safe for the baby to help!
Michelle answers:
Okay, I have been there, done that.
1) Prunes.
2) Prune juice. Not as bad as I’d feared.
3) Increased fiber in diet. Split pea soup, double fiber bread, nuts (I like pecans), bananas (but they are constipating themselves), etc. Aim for 28 g. Per day.
4) Increased water.
5) Exercise. Walking should do it.
6) Benefiber. It’s a colorless, tasteless product you pour into drinks or food 3 times a day and it gives you a lot of fiber grams. (Totally safe in pregnancy.)
7) Stool softeners. These any OB will tell you to take. You take 2 every day.
Good luck! Mine got so bad I had to go the hard core pharmaceutical route … So stay on top of things!

Natural remedies for nauseau during pregnancy?
My little sister is pregnant with her first and is terribly sick. I remember using an aroma therapy necklace for my first pregnancy to get rid of the “ALL DAY” sickness. I also remember other remedies that people told me about, but 3 years later I don’t remember them. Does anyone else have some remedies that worked for them?
Michelle answers:
I’ve heard that Preggie pops are good and also Accupressure wrist bands
Aren’t these the cutest things ever?

What vitamins supplements/natural remedies are dangerous during pregnancy?
I’m currently on HEAPS of vitamins such as zinc, vitamin c, a, c10 etc as well as a chinese medicine immune-boosting tonic, as am recovering from galndular fever and recurring viruses. I’m hoping to become pregnant soon, as was wondering which ones to keep and which ones to stop if i were to fall pregnant
Michelle answers:
Herbs are consider unsafe during pregnancy because not enough research has been done on them but there is no reason why you should stop them until you are pregnant. If you are able to stop the herbs, I would do so the month you start ttc.
I would just take a multivitamin like Centrum (or find one that has all the things it has in it). Centrum contains vitamins and minerals that our bodies need for fertility like selenium and copper. Don’t take the others (unless the C10 is actually CoQ10, that’s also great for fertility as well as your heart).
Vitamin A over 10,000 before pregnancy and over 6,000 during pregnancy is know to cause birth defects.
Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble meaning they are stored in your fat cells so it’s easy to have too much.
Other others are water soluble and eliminated by the body mostly through urine so they can be taken at higher dosage prior to pregnancy but not at pregnancy.
The only thing you should take during pregnancy is a prenatal vitamin and omega 3.
Here’s other things that boost fertility–
Coral calcium (helps increase cm but you have to take it with water. Water helps absorption)
PABA 300 mg
DHEA 75 mg (makes ovaries behave youthful again after 3 months of taking)
EPO and DHA (omega oils needed for fertility)
Arginine (increases circulation to ovaries and uterus)
Glutathione (an intracellular antioxidant found surrounding the egg before ovulation to protect the developing egg)
Manganese (known as the maternal mineral. Lack causes infertility)
Royal jelly (super food for cells)
Coenzyme Q10 (for heart and circulation)
Milk thistle and dandelonn (detox liver & improve toxic elimination in body)
Pycnogenol (super anti-oxident)
Alpha Lipoic acid (aids certain vitamins in body)
Green tea (anti-oxident)
Chlorophyll (balances insulin and feeds cells)
Taurine (fertility amino acid)
Acetyl L-Carnitine (amino like compound found in growing egg)
Grape seed (aids fertility)
And EVERYTHING that is found in the multi-vitamin called Centrum.
Eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids. Stay away from things that degrade the growing egg– sugar (even the sugar found in milk is toxic to developing follicle), white carbs, alcohol, caffine (it causes cortisol and inbalanced insulin levels), smoking, and any type of unnatural chemicals (natural meaning baking soda and vingar to clean) and fumes.
