natural remedies for gallstones?
hi, well last week i was diagnosed with having gallstones, i get severe gallbladder attacks every singel day regardless of what i eat, my gallbladder if 3/4’s full, its not diet which has caused it apparently its because i’ve been a user of the pill on and off for years and have had 5 pregnancies, anyway they have said i have to have my gallbladder removed, so i researched what other options there are, and came across these “natural therapies”, one by someone called “Dr Charlie” which is some pills you take apparenty it helps the gallbladder flush out the stones, and another that involves large doses of olive oil and lemon juice…. has anyone tried any of these remedies? personally i think they sound a bit dodgy… what if a stone were to get stuck in the duct? it could perforate and you could be in a critical position… wouldnt the oil and the lemon juice cause pain anyway? its supposed to get the gallbladder pumping out all those stones… imagine the pain…
so my question is has anyone ever tried one of these remedies? and did it work? if so how do u know it worked? did you go back and have another scan and get told your gallstones had gone? according to an article i read, someone tried the olive oil and lemon juice one and got the so called stones tested and it was discovered they were just hardened olive oil and the olive oil had gone hard like stones as a result of the lemon juice….
thought i’d add this link which says about the olive oil and lemon juice bit not working and when tests were conducted it proved to be just hardened olive oil… and only one case has been proven to actually work with that remedy….

Dr Frank, thank you for answering! you have said exactly what my own dr said to me he said they can be dangerous and the best thing is either medicine to disolve them if they are of the disolvable kind! or surgery and that it!…

You can take Claritan, Sudafed and Benadryl. I used all 3 during my last pregnancy. In my last week of pregnancy I got a sinus infection. I was so desperate I got Afrin and used it a few times. (Behind my doctor’s back. Afrin is not listed as a safe drug during pregnancy and the only reason I did it was because I was in my last week and was beyond desperate for relief…) My baby is is perfectly fine.
Ask your doctor first though of course.

Medication for colds and flu during early pregnancy..?
Does anyone know of any natural (and effective) cold and flu remedies that can be safely taken in early pregnancy? My boss is 10 weeks pregnant and has a history of miscarriages so is especially cautious as to what she can take. She’s got a terrible chest infection at the moment and hasn’t stopped coughing all day.
Her GP and Chemist can only recommend paracetomol which isn’t even beginning to help.
Can anyone recommend any really good natural remedies that she can take safely?
Michelle answers:
You can try hot Honey and Lemon. Add a few lemon slices and a tea spoon of honey to hot water.
The Lemon is an antiseptic and the honey will help the throat. The vitamin C in the lemon will also booster the immunue system.
Also try to avoid drinks containing caffine, and food/drinks such as milk or chocolate that may stick to the throat and irritate it.
However apart from this, i would follow the advice of the pharamist.

to prevent unwanted pregnancy?
to prevent unwanted pregnancy without resorting to any remedies be it natural like teas or medicine whatsoever. just follow the rhythm method to a t. or if your ovulating and u and ur partner do this dangerous time ., right after contact run fast to the bathroom, wash the private part immediately inside out with a solution of lukewarm water, 1 teaspoon of vineagar put inside a clean plastic bottle with a long beaked nozzle with holes around it , put it inside your girlie girlie and squeezethe bottle with the solution in it. jump and dance for five minutes. go back to bed and never never sleep with yourstomach. sleep sideways and on your back.!
Is this true?
I have asked not to try it but a person suggested this for me instead of any other contraception and I just wish to know
Michelle answers:
The rhythm method works, but make sure you do it right.
