Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Betty asks…

Try To Conceive On Clomid and Scared Of Miscarriage…?

We are about to take our first round of Clomid. I have read it can increase the risk of miscarriage. My doctor has already scheduled all blood test in case we get pregnant, but I’m still totally worried.
I worried through my entire first pregnancy (natural conception) and I thought that #2 might be less stressful, but now I am more worried than ever.

Any positive experiences with conceiving with Clomid?

Michelle answers:

I’ve never heard that one at all. I can’t see how Clomid would cause miscarriages when it is purely to induce ovulation.
My 1st daughter is a clomid & Metformin baby, I had 14 m/c’s before her and purely because I have PCOS and should of been on Metformin to stop miscarrying. Had another M/c after my daughter didn’t take meds) then fell pg again and started metformin straight away and now my youngest daughter is turning 3yrs old in 8 days. TTC #3 now with Metformin 2000mg and Clomid 100mg.

Thomas asks…

need advice, have pcos and just had blood sugar levels tested for insulin resistance?

i have pcos and i am currently 8 weeks with a natural pregnancy,
as a precaution i had my blood sugar levels checked as a lot of pcos sufferers are insulin resistant.
i got my results yesterday which were 5.2 which the nurse tells me is normal (normal being anywhere between 3.5 and 5.5)
i had to fast for 10 hours before the test, so my question is,
how accurate is the test after fasting?
and does a blood sugar result of 5.2 mean i’m deffinately not insulin resistant?

Michelle answers:

Glucose testing is always done fasting.

Susan asks…

Can Vaginal wetness stop pregnancy? Doctor please answer.?

I am 26 years old. My fiancée and I have been having unprotected sex for over 8 months. We want to leave it to nature on getting pregnant. I have never been pregnant. we are at normal weights and we live a healthy lifestyle in the country. I had a LEEP done last year in April, had some slightly abnormal cells but last test in September results where healthy.

We are very sexually active, 5 times a week minimum. My question is when I have intercourse I get very wet, can this prevent me from getting pregnant? I cannot find any information on the interent regarding vaginal mucus. I get excited easily and wetness comes easily before the intercourse.. My fiancée has had three pregnancies in his last relationship, proving he is healthy and able to produce. Can you please help me understand if my body produces a natural spermicide or can block the entry of my cervix? My fiancée was told when trying to conceive in his past relationship by a doctor that his partners wetness can cause the cervix to be blocked. Is that true? Doctors answer please.

Michelle answers:

Hi I read over your question, I am no doctor but I can give you some advice on this. I know how frustrating it can be when you are wanting a pregnancy or are trying with the feeling of…if it happens it happens. I am a 26 year old female who lived with increased vaginal discharge “wetness”. They usually refter to vaginal discharge as a way of your vagina cleaning its-self out so its getting it out of the vagina to keep it clean. People usually have better luck in conceiving when they are trying to conceive when the woman has discharge basically because it helps the sperm stay in… If you will. Have you been to the ob/gyn regularly? There are numerous reasons for someone to have the increased discharge. Even std’s. I know you are probably a healthy woman, but sometimes we have a std and dont know it and that can cause problems in getting pregnant along with a discharge. Also, professionals say that its best to have sex every other day and not every day because when you have sex that much, it lowers the man’s sperm count which can also cause problems in conceiving. So if you keep having problems I would suggest that you go back to your doctor and see what they suggest, it actually may not even be anything to do with you, your fiance may not be able to conceive. So maybe guidance from your primary ob/gyn would be the best bet. I wish you luck and hope everything goes well for you all 🙂

David asks…

My girlfriend MIGHT be pregnant and I’ve been stupid enough to let myself get excited?

Right, I’m 17 and I recently got back with my gf, notice I’m female so it clearly ain’t my baby.

Anywho, we split up just before the Summer after an 11month relationship in which we’d got engaged, we always talked about marrying and having kids and ok I lied, i’m not a girl, i’m a pre-op male-to-female transsexual, so i can have my sperm frozen before I become a girl so we can have kids that are both biological ours, but different story…

During the time we weren’t together, my gf dated this guy who pretty much used her for sex and the last time, about 2weeks before we got back together the comdom broke and now my gf is 3weeks late on her period.

Well I’ve always wanted a kid and I’ve told her I’ll back her all the way and give her any support she needs and I’ve got myself so excited about having a kid now, just if she’s pregnant, i’ll be like a step-Mum which will be awesome.

Only thing is I’ve got excited when she hasn’t even had a pregnancy test and she’s been this late for natural reasons in the…
…past and I’ve let myself get all excited and if the test proves negative, i’m just gonna be well disappointed, I know I’m young and I should be more worried about her being pregnant and praying to God she isn’t, but I just take life seriousl and having a kid for me would be awesome.

How the hell can i stop myself being too disappointed if she tests negative for being pregnant?
Btw, my gf is 16.
The due who said no medical facility would perform the surgery on a minor, yes your correct but that still doesn’t stop me being transsexual, so up yours. Look up transsexual and find out what the word means.
My gf doesn’t agree with abortions and adoption, so i think she’d be having it also by the sounds of her ex, he won’t want anything to do with this child and after how he treated my gf I think she doesn’t want him having contact with it.
The father cheated on her TWICE with the same girl so she wouldn’t go back with him.

Two my gf is straight, I’m just her exception cos we have been insanely in love since we met, when we split up it was for reasons that had nothing to do with our feelings for one another.
Three, a lesbian relationship is no harder than any other.

Michelle answers:

Getting excited about a baby is not stupid hunny – especially with her being 3 weeks overdue.

I have read some of the comments you have received and some are down right stupid so please ignore them, others I kind of agree with – you are both very young, and yes it is her choice what to do with her body…. BUT … If she is pregnant and she wants to keep the baby and has a partner like you that wants to look after her and the baby then you are in a better situation than most pregnant women. I say good luck to you! I am really happy for you – I hope that all goes well for you both.

Good luck with the operation also.
