Any success stories out there after 3 consecutive miscarriages?
Hi, i am 26 and started TTC in February of this year. I had my 1st positive pregnancy test in April only to miscarriage at 5wks, natural m/c – blighted ovumn. I actually tested positive again exactly 4wks after my m/c and at an early scan at 6wks 5days i had a scan and got to see and hear the heartbeat, however at my 12wks scan i was devastated to be told there was no longer a heartbeat and it only measure 8wks, i had a missed m/c, d&c required this time. I went back on birth control after this only to fall pregnant again (my own fault as i had missed a few pills), this pregnacny ended in the form of a chemical pregnancy. That was back in September.
After the 3rd Miscarriage my doctor performed bloodtests to find out if there were any underlying issues causing the miscarriages, 7 in total, all of these came back normal, she put it down to the fact that i had got pregnant so close together each time and that my body/womb hadn’t enough time to recover and prepare itself, i am living in hope that she is right. Anyhow, i am currently NOT TTC at the minute but hope to try again some time in the middle of next year.
Sorry for the novel, i guess i would just like to hear of anyone who has been through this and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy and baby.
My first due date was Xmas day of this year so i am feeling a little bit emotional as it approaches 🙁
Thanks in advance for answers

I am so sorry! I had a MC in March 07 so I understand what you are going through! ( My mc was like your 2nd one, we had the heartbeat at 6 weeks and nothing at 11 1/2)
I have a friend who had 2 mc and then went on to have 2 boys, 14 months apart.
I don’t know if it will help, but we put up a plaque in our room. We put the ultrasound pictures on the back.
I wish you the best of luck! I know the holidays will be hard!

Could this be a sign of pregnancy?
I’ve been off of the pill for almost a month now, and my boyfriend and I are trying to conceive. My period is due in less than a week, so I know it’s too early to test. But I think I’m starting to get a yeast infection. I used soap “down there” and I know it’s not good to use fragrances but I ran out of my unscented gentle soap so I resorted to the scented stuff, though it is “natural“, I got it at The Body Shop and it’s low on chemicals. I’ve occasionally used it down there without problems but now I’m really itchy. However I don’t have discharge but everything else seems like a yeast infection. I’ve had one once before and this definitely seems like I’m getting another one. I’ve heard that yeast infections are common in pregnant women…so could this be a sign of pregnancy?
Also, another question…How good are the chances of me getting pregnant this quickly off the pill? I know it takes some women months to get back into their normal cycle, but I had a regular cycle before birth control, and I’m 20, so I’m assuming I’m pretty dang fertile…
Michelle answers:
Would not count on being pregnant. Would not rule it out. I would check to see that you don’t have a yeast infection and it wasn’t the soap. Wait to see if you get your period on time. Also it is very likely that even just getting off the pill you could get pregnant.

Analiza Q – Sorry for your previous losses, no do not give up, if you do then you will always be left wondering ‘what if’. Try again if this is what you really want and just take good care of yourself. I know when i start trying again it is going to be so hard emotionally BUT hopefully the next time will be ‘the right time’. I think every pregnant woman, regardless of wether she has miscarried before is frightened of this happening, i guess with us we would just be expecting it. I know this probably has nothing to do with this situation BUT i failed my driving test twice and got it on the third attempt, the way i looked at it was i was going to keep trying as they would have to pass me sometime, wouldn’t they? Good luck in TTC and just take it easy when you find out you are pregnant, hoepfully someday soon we will be on here sharing our experiences.

Here is a short version of my story.
I got pregnant when I was 16 which resulted in my now 12 year old son. I then had 5 m/c. The first 3 where very early on and then I had a loss at 22 weeks. My last m/c was at 12 weeks we discovered that there was 2 babies and they where conjoined and had simply not survived. I have had 3 D&C’s and and 2 natural m/c’s I am now the proud mother of a 7 month old boy (who was one of two babies this time two but the other was actually m/c early on) I know if may seem tough but you can do it. Just try not to get to discouraged.

thoughts on hCG levels? New or residual from last pregnancy?
I have had three miscarriages so I know full well that sometimes taking a PG test after a loss can be misleading however I am over 4 weeks past my natural miscarriage which was at 6 weeks. My levels have dropped very quickly. My last bloodwork revealed a hCG level of 6 on September 11th. I also (strangely enough) got a light positive HPT (FRER) that day so I know it picks up the hormone at a very low level.
Now, 4 days later, I would have assumed that my levels would be at zero and that I would be seeing BFN’s since my level was SO low last week but I got another BFP this afternoon.
Could this be a new pregnancy? We have been having unprotected sex.
