Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Remedies

David asks…

Can Rescue Remedy be used during the duration of pregnancy?

I have anxiety/panic disorder and am considering getting pregnant. I wonder which medicines/natural cures will work and not affect the baby.

Michelle answers:

Natural cures are generally not regulated by the FDA and are therefore not recommended during pregnancy because there isn’t necessarily a correlation between what you think you are taking and what you are taking.

There are a number of prescription medications that generally appear safe during pregnancy. However, they should only be considered if the benefits outweigh the risks. If you are on medications that work for you, you could speak to your obstetrician or a genetic counselor about concerns know for those specific medications. It is great that you are thinking about this prior to pregnancy, when it is best to get you on the safest medicines.

Michelle answers:

Peppermint tea, milk or tums, or if you can get them refreshers, sodium bicarbonate in water hope that helps. Also stick to a bland diet with no citrus in i found that made my heartburn indigestion worse but my doctor has had to give me medication as it got to the point where i was being sick with it iam 36 weeks pregnant.

Chris asks…

Pregnancy problems, need some advice.?

I have PCOS and it is difficulty and nearly impossible to get pregnant. What can I do to help make me more fertile. It is really stressing me out that I can not conceive and is depressing me. I feel so worthless. Anyone have any ideas? Herbal medications, natural remedies, ect.

Michelle answers:

Have you asked your doctor about clomid or ovulation kits? Sometimes if you prop your butt up on a pillow (while laying down) after intercourse it can help the semen slide back easier or if you have an orgasm while your partner does too it can help you conceive (so I’ve heard….like it contracts so much it makes it easier to get toward the egg– if that makes sense).

I hope this helps!

Michael asks…

Pregnancy and Antihistamines/Hay Fever?

Hi all – I understand that drugs such as anti-histamines have not been tested on pregnant women – but does anyone have any experience of them – nasal sprays, eye drops, pills – I don’t want to put my baby at any risk of course – but my eyes are itching and streaming – not happy… Any natural remedies?? Thanks all – KB.

Michelle answers:

LOCAL honey-a teaspoon a day will cure your air born allergies within a month or so. Local honey works with the body NATURALLY to develop immunities to all the air born irritants around you like pollen, pet dander, mold, dust etc. Antihistamines hurt YOU as well as your baby by dehydrating the body causing sinus and kidney problems with prolonged usage.
