Carol asks…
Had a natural miscarriage & period has decreased over the months to not having one at all?
Back in August I had a natural miscarriage at 8 weeks. It was a blighted ovum. I bled for a week and then 2 weeks later I had my period and bled for 4 days(I usually bleed 6-7 days). 30 days passed before I got my next period and this time I only bled for 3 days. Then 35 days passed before I got my period again and this time I bled for about 5 days but it was light(usually it’s moderate to heavy bleeding). And now, it’s been well over a month and a half and still no period. I’ve taken a pregnancy test last week and one today and they both were negative. I’m worried that something is wrong or that my period is just all out of whack now after the miscarriage.
Just a little background. I use to have PCOS(Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and my period was very irregular… as a teen it was every other month after a course of 5-6 years it was twice a year. After I had my first child my period became very regular, same thing after I had my second child. Because I had PCOS it took me 5 years to conceive. I would like to have a couple of more kids but am afraid that maybe somethings wrong since my period seems to be getting worse and worse. I don’t have health insurance until Feb, so I can’t schedule and appointment with my OB yet. Can someone help me out. Every post or blog I’ve seen they usually say that there period become regular by the 3rd to 5th month after having a miscarriage… So why is it that it seems to be that my period is getting worse and worse… My worst fear is that I won’t be able to conceive anymore.

Michelle answers:
First, there is no *cure* for PCOS. It’s chronic, which means once you have it, you have it…but sometimes it’s under control more times than others.
It sounds to me like this last pregnancy triggered your PCOS symptoms again. What you’re describing smacks very loud of a hormone imbalance.
The only thing you can do is wait it out until February and then get the hormones you’ll need to jumpstart your cycles again.
You may or may not need medical intervention to conceive in the future. But either way, there’s no reason to believe you won’t ever conceive again.
Good luck.

The biggest wives tale is to ‘relax’ … That one cracks me up!
I don’t know if you are talking herbal supplements to help you concieve. There are things like soy isoflavins, Vitex, vitamin B complex etc…
Some swear by baby aspirin after ovulation, preseed, robitussin before ovulation or evening primrose oil to increase your CM.
I’ve heard grapefruit is somehow helpful.
Everyone says to stay lying down for at least 10 minutes… Some say with your legs in the air.. Some say you can lie on your stomach with your butt in the air…. Thats standard fare though
I heard that you can conceive easier on ‘special’ days… But I ovulated ON my 1 year wedding anniversary last month and it didn’t help, lol.
I’ve heard you can dangle an needle on a thread over your wrist to find out how many children you will have and what sex they will be.

CAPITAL GAINS TAX
MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.
OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)
DIVIDEND TAX
MCCAIN

OBAMA
39.6% – (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that ‘Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.’)

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA
New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren’t high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least….New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

Michelle answers:
The only sensible choice is McCain.
Obama’s “change” campaign is losing steam.
This is typical that when people get past the personalitlies and start to focus on the issues someone so extremely liberal as Obama is going to lose.
People do want change, they just don’t want socialism
Lisa asks…
John McCain/Obama Comparison ?
Now why you would vote for an idiotic Democrate like this i just dont know!
This might be the single best comparison I’ve seen on McCain and Obama. It’s worth looking at this information and passing on so others can see the differences. Read this completely, because the tax differences between the two are significant.
