Your Questions About Natural Ivf Success

Laura asks…

What are the pills called? I have a 5 yr old daughter and a 3 month old daughter – We really want twin boys..

I have no trouble getting pregnant however I have very uncomfortable pregnancies and i dont think I can go through it more than one more time.. we want two more kids.. whats the best way other than IVF to try for multiples… natural supplements? Does anyone have any success stories with natural or herbal supplements for this?

Michelle answers:

If your singleton pregnancies were uncomfortable, a twin pregnancy might be unbearable for you. No reputable doctor would cause you to have twins merely for convenience- carrying twins increases the risks to babies and to mother.

Mary asks…

Questions about IVF.?

I had a natural birth about 3 years ago. When my child was a toddler he passed away. My husband and I have been trying for about 2 years to have another baby. However we have been unsuccessful. So we have been considering IVF. We are actually starting the first stage of the program. And we are due to go to consultation by the end of the month. What are the statistic with have multiple children through this process. I don’t mind either way but for the record would love twins if it is Gods plan. Are there any success stories. Also I am 29 years old. Please only people that are serious. Please give me Stats and your opinon about IVF. Lastly let me know if you had any success with this procedure. Also I am getting this done in the United States so there is no need for any information about getting this done in India. How is the HSG?. I am getting that done tomorrow.

Michelle answers:

This is a good place to find answers to your questions: http://www.sart.org/find_frm.html. It is the Society for Assisted Reproduction National Summary for 2005. You can click on any state and find fertility clinics in your area. Then, you can read the stats about the clinic: overall success, twin rates, success by age category, and total number of procedure done at the clinic each year. This is a reputable source and is used by the women on most infertility forums for data. It is not affiliated with any one clinic, and the info is purely based on what is reported to the CDC. It should answer your questions about your chance of having twins and the success rate at your clinic for you age group.

I have done 3 IVFs and finally had success with the last one. I am currently 35 weeks with a single baby (we put back 2 embryos this last cycle).

The HSG is kind of embarrassing and awkward, getting up on that xray table and having to hold a certain position while the dye is injected and the film is taken. It was a little painful for me, with a sharp cramp that lasted aout 30 seconds. I had no blockage, and I have heard it can be more painful if there is blockage. I felt crampy (like light menstrual cramps) for about 2 days after the procedure.

From hanging out on the IVF boards, it certainly seems that people who have had natural pregnancies in the past have an easier time getting PG with IVF (we had never been pregnant after 8 years of trying, not even once). I hope that the IVF works for you so that you can have another baby to love very soon. Hugs.

help, need advice for trouble TTC?

We have been TTC for about 20 months and in nov 09, I was diagnosed with bilateral tubal occlusion (both fallopian tubes are blocked) by getting an HSG done. Our options were IVF or laproscopic surgery. Since I’ve been doing research and I think that the first HSG was wrong and the pain (I didn’t have meds) made my tubes spasm and close because I’m only 20 and have not had any injury to my abdomen or a disease to make it impossible to get pregnant… Now, I don’t want to go thru IVF yet because I don’t wanna put my body thru that at this moment, and we have to save the money for it first since Tricare won’t cover any of it. I’m also worried that the surgery will damage my ovaries and/or cause scar tissue to grow where it shouldn’t, so I’m hesitant to do that as well. I have started the process of getting a 2nd HSG to be sure they are in fact blocked because I’ve heard stories where the 1st HSG showed they were blocked and the 2nd showed they were 100% clear, but I want to know what else I can do! I’ve been taking prenatal pills and I’ve tried changing my diet, excersising, going on vacations to “just relax”, I stopped charting and using OPKs so I wouldn’t worry about it and end up making sex a chore… but still nothing. Any advice or success stories?? (Stories that don’t have anything to do with success with IVF please, IVF is just not an option for us right now. But lapro stories and natural conception after diagnosis stories are welcome!) Thanks a lot in advance 🙂

Hi,

It seems very odd that you were not given pain medication for this procedure and that your tubes are blocked without having any real reason for them to be. Did they mention this may be a birth defect? Do you have endometriosis, ovarian cysts or uterine fibroids? All of these can cause scar tissue and adhesions which may lead to blocked fallopian tubes. HSG can cause scar tissue and damage. You may want to seek a second opinion.

There are some natural ways to work toward unblocking your tubes. These methods when combined over many months 3-6 may reduce scar tissue, adhesions and unblock fallopian tubes.

-Fertility Enzyme Therapy is a method for helping the body clear itself of excess tissue, breakdown scar tissues, cleanse the blood, increase circulation to the reproductive organs and reduce immunological response.

Fertility Enzyme Therapy may help to reduce the scar tissues that are blocking your fallopian tubes. A specific systemic enzyme found in Zymessence eats away and reduces the fibrin (the material that makes up scar tissue) over time. This therapy is extremely effective at reducing scar tissue.

-Self Fertility Massage and Castor Oil Packs

One of the greatest benefits of massage is the ability to break up adhesions. Self Fertility Massage™ gently helps to break up adhesions while helping the body to get rid of the remaining tissues. The techniques used in Self Fertility Massage include massaging the fallopian tubes in addition to the uterus and ovaries. Massage provides a great non-intrusive option for women with blocked fallopian tubes.

A Castor Oil Pack is a cloth soaked in castor oil which is placed on the skin to enhance circulation and promote healing of the tissues and organs underneath the skin. Castor oil therapy assists blocked tubes by helping to soften the tissues prior to Self Fertility Massage™ and increase circulation and healing power to the area.

There are also herbs that can reduce inflammation, are antibiotic in nature and increase circulation.

You can learn more about ways to help blocked fallopian tubes using natural methods at the link below.

I am sorry you got this diagnosis, I hope you can find some good answers!

Found out there is no chance of getting pregnant……..?

After 1 year of TTC we found out that we have no chance of getting pregnant the natural way. The only option we have is to go for IVF (invitro fertilisation), then we would only have a 10% chance of conceiving. The problem lies with my husband.

My question is….do you know of any success stories of people who got pregnant after the doctor said there is no chance?

Thank you in advance for all answers.
As I said. The problem is with my husband……

Omg hun if there was one dollar for every time ive heard a story about a doctor saying a woman cant have kids and then she concieves id be a millionaire…

Once there was a 18 yesr old girl and the doctor said that there is noway in the world she will ever have a child basically there was something in her uterus that was irrepairable even with ivf they said very very very low chance … So she stopped having protected sex with her bf …she didnt get her periods and kept getting bigger and nauseous etc went to the doctor and she was pregnant…here she is today a woman who was suppose to have no kids has TWO now!

My cousin was told she wont have kids she kept miscarrying and now she has two

– DO NOT LISTEN TO DOCTORS when they say this because they are not God – only God could make you not have kids and if its written down for you to have them then sweet you will…

Goodluck and im sure ill be hearing your pregnant soon …have faith xx
