Your Questions About Natural Ivf Clinics

Daniel asks…

“MINI IVF” IS THIS THE NEW AND SAFE IVF?

I heard about this new method of ivf, its more holistic and safer. The clinic that i found the info for in newhopefertility.the mini ivf was created in Japan…and is finally being discovered in the U.S. I am just wondering if this new method of ivf is popular or if anyone knows someone that has done this mini ivf procedure. Its only using clomid….selecting only “quality” eggs not using any injectables and using a nasal spray to stimulate the ovulation. I am just curious to know if someone knows about the new IVF….i have a consulation soon…but still want some of my own info from others…..wish me luck….tried 4 ius failed…had ectopic pregnancy was on clomid twice…i just hope this si the right step…its not to invasive…..and its more natural…and this thing is im 26…and i am soo in mommy mode…….so just wish me luck and for those thats interested check out the website….newhopefertility.com

Michelle answers:

They cant pick quality eggs from bad eggs without removing eggs and looking at them under a microscope. They do this when you have regular IVF any ways and only implant the ones that give you the most success rate. As for non-injectable ovulation stimulants, clomid, is a pill and is used to force ovulation, so the fact that there is a non-injectible is nothing new. The fact that it is a nasal spray will either get into your blood stream faster or, will just be blown out your nose when you feel the need to blow your nose from drippy stuff being up there.

I would be liery about new proceedures such as this because I have found that not always, but some times, they are alluring to people who are desperate to conceive but arent statistically proven to work.

I would look for scientific evidence that they work and look at % of them working. While IVF is expensive, why not just go that route? It will give you the best chance.

Considering that IUI didnt work has your dr. Done a complete blood panel on yourself and then checked your partner to make sure there isnt an underlying cause? Im sure they have, but throwing it out there just in case. Also, have you had a hystosalpigogram? To see if you have blocked tubes or some thing? IUF isnt much more than sticking sperm in your tubes so it doesnt have as far to go. IVF makes a baby and then impregnates you. I dont know what these ‘mini’ IVF treatments do, but if they are just a new version of IUI, I wouldnt waste the time or money. Good luck!

Mark asks…

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year. Anyone have advise?

I have several disorders that are restricting me from conceiving. (severe endometrioses, my T cells attack his sperm, and my cervical mucus is always to thick.) I want to know what works best when trying to conceive. We are going to a fertility clinic that says that the only way we are going to be able to conceive is through IVF, or medications. I want to know about any natural methods that may work. I feel so broken that I have not been able to conceive, considering he doesnt have anything stopping him from having children.

Michelle answers:

Hi there, Sorry to hear about your problems. I know how you feel. My husband and I tried to conceive for 2 years before they found out that I had Polycystic Ovaries. They told me i would have a hard time getting pregnant without Invitro. I wanted to try anyways. I started out on metformin for a year with no success. Then they suggested Clomid. I wasnt having periods at all so they had to give me medication to enduce a period then i began taking clomid. I did the first round (they only usually allow 3/4 rounds because it thins the lining of your uterous). No success. Devasted i tried again. And to my surprise i got pregnant immediatly after round 2. I am now 25 weeks pregnant with a big and healthy baby. So dont give up, and dont rule out medication, they do take time and are frustrating, but when they work, it is a wonderful experience. I am finding out the sex of my baby in two weeks. Dont give up, it can happen for you! Best of luck.

Michael asks…

Is there drugs avalible to increase sperm count and motiliy?

We’re doing all the natural things to increase sperm count i.e no hot baths, tight underwear and zinc but my husband has a low sperm count of 12.5million per ml, not so good. Haven’t been given an appointment at the fertility clinic yet but was wondering if they will suggest medication before IUI and IVF?

Michelle answers:

Hi Katy, me and my husband are going through a similar thing. Our specialist says that they can medicate a woman to help ovulation but there is nothing they can give to men to increase sperm count or motility. I know what you are going through, we are waiting on some test results and it may have to be I.V.F for us too. It was a shock at first but i have now started looking at it that at least we both have what we need to make our own baby, even if it will be expensive and might mean a long wait. I wish you lots of luck x
