Your Questions About Natural Ivf

Helen asks…

RE: IVF, If a fertilized embryo is frozen for 5 years then inseminated, surely the baby would have problems?

Does anyone else think IVF is just not natural?

I mean, sperm and egg weren’t meant to last outside of the Human Body for too long…yet scientists are now playing God by mixing sperm+egg in a Petri Dish, then freezing them for 5+ years…and then the couple decides years down the track to insert the embryo into the woman?

Surely there must be some long-term effects on the baby? Would a baby grow up “normal” if it had actually been frozen for 5 years before?! It just doesn’t seem right/natural and is not the way God intended couples to conceive!

Having children is NOT a right! If you are barren…then tough. That is your lot in life.

Michelle answers:

Oh where to begin. Have you seen some of the people in this world who are breeding? If someone wants a baby badly enough to turn to science then they are who should be having children not these 16yo crackys that have three kids. I’m sorry that you do not understand the world that you live in but please do not preach

Sandra asks…

What did you pregnant ladies do to conceive? Besides the obvious?

It’s been almost 3 years since my ectopic with tube removal. I am so beyond frustration!! I eat healthy take prenatals along with other minerals and still nothing! I am desperate! But not desperate enough for Clomid or IVF. I want to conceive all natural. I feel so down at times and sometimes less of a woman.

Michelle answers:

I know your frustrations. I had an ectopic about 5 years ago. About a year later I got pregnant and delivered a healthy baby boy. When he was 2 we decided to try again…2 miscarriages later I was so angry and sad…I couldn’t understand what I was doing wrong. I decided to not “try” so hard…well, still nothing happened. I then really started paying attention to my body…every period, cramp, everything I wrote down. Well, after about 2 or 3 months I knew when I was ovulating and all that…so we tried and boom….I am 18 weeks pregnant. I had sex before, during and after ovulation…lifted my butt up with a pillow for 10 minutes after.
Good Luck and I am sending baby dust 🙂

John asks…

How to release more than one egg?

I know it’s a long shot, but I was wondering if there is a way to get your ovaries to release more than one egg. Preferably, I’m looking for natural ways to get the ovaries to release 2 eggs, as I know you can have IVF, take certain drugs that will liken your chances of 2 eggs releasing, etc.

Does anyone know of any proven ways? Thanks, even if the answer is no!

Michelle answers:

Get your doctor to prescribe you CLOMID, its a fertility drug most use before resorting to IVF. It pushes your body to release eggs and 80% of the time more than one.
But I am a mother of twins and I hope you know that it is a huge responsibility if that is what you are trying to do. I wouldn’t recommend messing with nature and maybe finding someone with newborn twins and giving it a go for a day/night before you try.

Mary asks…

Embryo/egg donation? Or IVF in general?

Me and my husband are thinking of going down this route. What is the proccess involved with IVF? How do you get matched with an embryo in the UK? Is it possible to use my 2 free tries on the nhs for this or will I have to go private? Also will I/the child be able to know who the natural parents are?

We have to do embryo adoption/donation because me and my husband can’t have children. I can only carry. We had already gone through the tests previously before we met to determine this.

The reason I ask about details of the donor is because I wanted the child to know when they were old enough. My husband was adopted so we know all about the heartache of not knowing.

UK only please because it’s different of America. Cheers.
it’s different IN* America.
Also do the nhs have a list of donors or do I have to find a couple on my own?
I forgot, How many do they put in? As they’ll be frozen there’s a smaller chance than if they were fresh.
In the UK please.
