Mary asks…
Is this true about Fox News, plz read?
someone here said:
“FOX News is the highest rated of all the cable news channels”
OMG, I used to have a lot of respect for US,
do majaroty of americans really watch sean hanity and see him as fair and balanced?
FOX even treated ron paul like crap…
Michelle answers:
100% true. Fox News Channel beats CNN and MSNBC combined. Fox has more Republican, Independent, AND DEMOCRATIC viewers than all of cable news. It is truly Fair & Balanced. Did you know that Fox’s lowest-rated show is STILL higher than all the shows on the other networks?
Ratings Surge At Fox News Under Obama Administration

to all those who give me thumbs down: you are afraid of the truth. The statistics don’t lie and you are in denial!!

Nancy asks…
Do you like Fox News?
I would like to know: do you enjoy watching the Fox News Channel?
Do you think it’s biased to the right?
Your thoughts?
Michelle answers:
Fox does spin Right, yes. It is the ONLY Right wing voice on the TV. Fox is also the most fair and balanced outlet, they have many left wing voices on there as guests, and the Fox people give them a fair opportunity to represent the left side of things. This element of fair and balanced does NOT exist on any of the other media outlets, which by the way all others spin to the left.
And the libs are always bad mouthing Fox News. They fear Fox, so they ridicule it and created ridiculous spins about it.
.

Paul asks…
How come cablevision viewers can still watch FOX NEWS?
I know that FOX and my9 are cut but how come I can still watch FOX NEWS?
Michelle answers:
FOX News and FOX Business are the News Department. FX, NatGeo, FOX Sports and the local FOX channels are under Entertainment. Different departments and different contracts.
Sorry to hear your FOX channels got cut (let me guess–you have either DISH or Cablevision).
We’ve already lost FOX Sports and Prime Ticket here, so no LA Kings opener for me. If no deal is reached before 01 November, DISH will stop carrying the local FOX stations (channels 11 and 13).

Linda asks…
Who owns the washington post and fox news?
I am doing a project and I need to find out who owns or controls the washington post or fox news.
I need to find out whether they have any control over news or what goes into the articles from those sources and what political beliefs they have. I tried looking it up but had no luck so if anyone can give me a hand I would appreciate it.
Very interesting and helpful information so far, thank you. My articles are on global warming. One article is from fox news, and it is about scientists and professors warning people that there is biased and unreliable evidence in support of global warming. The article from the washington post is about how the pace of global warming has exceeded expectations and is becoming a serious problem. I am trying to find if these articles content is effected by the owner.
Could the owners limit the authors to present facts that support or argue against the issue?
Michelle answers:
I saw a good chart of who owns what as to mainstream media yesterday and will try to find it and link it here for you.
In answer to your comment ..”I need to find out whether they have any control over news or what goes into the articles from those sources and what political beliefs they have.”
Mainstream media has ALL CONTROL OVER THE NEWS and they manufacture news. The mainstream media has changed because of concentration of media ownership.
It is no longer the fourth estate. Rather, it has become a propaganda agent for the interests of government and large corporations. When the government and the media are both controlled by mega-corporations, it is in the best interests of the media to voluntarily undertake the government’s censorship and propaganda distribution.
These two films explain that:

The mainstream media is a very serious threat to our liberty, economic well being and our health.
EDIT
Here is a cool site where you can choose the name of the parent company and get a list of what they own.
As expected, the list for General Electric is nothing short of alarming – that corporation has far, far too much control over public access to information. As a big player in the alternative energy industry, and as a Pentagon supplier, General Electric is in a conflict of interest when it comes to reporting about foreign policy or global warming.
Isn’t it grand when a a corporation can use its extensive media holdings to create public opinion favorable to the profit agenda of other aspects of its business. No doubt GE views its media holdings as a “cost of doing business”.
I haven’t used this site before so recommend you get independent verification of the result it produces. I eye-balled the results and they seem to be reasonably what I would expect.
Choose “News Corporation” to search for Fox’ owner and see what else they own. Here are the search results as of August 2008:

ITS PRETTY SCARY SO SEE HOW VERY FEW CONTROL THE ENTIRE MAINSTREAM MEDIA!!!!! No wonder there is little diversity of opinion in mainstream media these days.
