There’s a new club (since 2002) in Ottawa, Canada, called the Ottawa Coven. If you have more questions, I recommend emailing the people on the website:http://www.eorurugby.com/clubs/index.php?cid=24
Just let them know your dillema, and they should help you out. Good luck.

Club Colours: Navy and Orange
Home Field: University of Ottawa Sportsplex / Terry Fox Athletic Facility
History:
Founded in 2002, The Coven is committed to offering opportunities for women of all ages to play rugby at either the recreational or competitive levels.
Our inaugural season was more successful than even we had hoped. We began the season as most new clubs do — playing short and praying for new arrivals — but by the end of the season, we had over 30 players registered and, although victory eluded us, we ended the season well pleased with both the experience and our progress.
Personal highlights included the selection of Brianna Hennessy to the Canadian Under-19 Women’s Team. Brianna joins our club captain, Sheila Schindel, who is listed with the National Under-23 squad.
The 2003 season has started with a bang — The Coven recording its first victory at the Oshawa Tournament on May 20th

Does anyone know of any studies, explaining the ratio of girls to boys who watch American Idol?
I’ve been curious about this for a while o: I feel like winning American Idol would be a lot harder for a girl these days provided the majority of viewers probably being girls, so based on that I believe that most of the votes would go towards a talented and attractive young man?
Michelle answers:
TV critics have discussed what you’ve noticed that the last 5 winners of the FOX Reality Competition were scuffy white young (aged 20 – 27 or so) men who play guitars and write their own “hits”. Such daily or weekly writing TV Critics at NY TIMES dot-com and WASHINGTON POST dot-com have covered this aspect of the entrenched leading TV series.
There is also an undercurrent of “hate-regard” for the trends on the show at the subversive website
VOTEFORTHEWORST dot-com — it contains links to other discussion locations on the worldwide web as far as reality singing / talent competitions.
I did not hear such griping about white males being over-favored on the NBC series “The Voice” — former Mouseketeer (as were Justin TImberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera) Tony Lucca who is an older white guitar performing male singer DID NOT Win nor did the white male Opera Singer. I also believe that the voting base for the NBC series was more like the make-up of America itself and less over-representing pre-teen and tween girls who vote and over-vote.
It was perhaps anomalous last year when the 17-year-old male won out with a big percentage of actual record buyers — Scotty McCreery has a debut album that went platinum while many in the last 5 seasons were really not good singers as far as selling their music and packing audiences in for concerts. There are also review articles at music media / periodicals (like ROLLINGSTONE and BILLBOARD) that discuss how the voters are a predictable sort of young female TV viewers
EDIT: (9:15 a.m. Friday EASTERN) — this review of the Wedn.May 23 Finale focuses on “Middle-Aged women and Tween Girls” as biggest voters:

Charles asks…
How do you submit tv show ideas to networks?
I have no idea where to start, but have a few ideas…
Michelle answers:
Sorry but you can’t- if you check the FAQ at most of the networks they will tell you NOT to bother sending them scripts/ideas as they just
Throw them Away without Reading them
Movie/TV writers have Agents and usually have to belong to the Writer’s union ( writer’s guild)
ABC
“What are ABC’s guidelines for unsolicited submissions of story ideas or concepts?
Unfortunately, ABC and The Walt Disney Company’s long-established policy does not allow the network to accept for review or consideration any ideas, suggestions, or creative materials not solicited by us or our subsidiaries. Our intention is to avoid misunderstandings when projects are created internally which might be similar to submissions made to us from outside the company.

“5. I have written a script for my favorite FOX show. Where can I send it?
ANSWER:
Keep on writing…..the more you write the better you will get !!
But….
Do not send in ideas or scripts to FOX or to the show unless it is through an accredited agent. ALL unsolicited ideas and scripts are left unopened and are THROWN AWAY. This is for YOUR protection.
You can get a list of agents who are willing to look at new writers from the Writers Guild of America West (located in LA). ”
