Daniel asks…

When does Aarti Party air on Food Network?

When does Aarti Party air on Food Network for Central Time? Also I want to know how we can email her food questions from her blog, Aarti Paarti, because I have a few questions I want her to answer for me.

Michelle answers:

It starts at 11 am central, 12 pm pacific, on Sundays.

You can email her food questions on her blog: aartipaarti.com. (with 2 a’s, the show only has 1 a.)

Lisa asks…

On Food Network’s television show, Cupcake Wars, what do they do with all of the extra cupcakes?

In Food Network‘s television show, Cupcake Wars, two people create thousand cupcake displays. Since they choose only one winner, I was just curious as to what they do with the other thousand cupcakes?

Michelle answers:

I would hope they would donate them to a homeless shelter or some other charity …. But most likely they throw them away. I noticed that a lot of those shows seem to waste sooo much food. On Cake Boss: Next Great Baker, they make huge wedding cakes only to throw them off buildings or steam roll them.

Mark asks…

What shows do you like on the Food Network? Bonus Question: Does that channel make you hungry?

I like:
Recipe to Riches
Top Chef Just Desserts
Ace of Cakes
Cupcake Wars
Food Network Challenge
Dinner Party Wars
(mostly dessert shows! lol)

And that channel makes me very very very hungry!
Ace of Cakes is actually over now. They had their series finale, and don’t have new episodes anymore. But they play repeats on TV.

Michelle answers:

I like ace of cakes but were waaay behind on episodes because its american tv.

Steven asks…

help to look for a pig roasting machine, i saw on food network?

Hi, I really need help. I once say this machine on the food network, I’m not sure what its called I think it was calle the la something China. Its made out of wood, but its not really used by chinese. Its burried under ground. Please help me tell me what it is I’m looking for. thank you so much

Michelle answers:

The La Caja China, it’s a wood box lined with metal, and then you put the pig inside, and then the coals on top. Cooks a whole pig, on the bone, in about 3 hours. I have been wanting one since i’ve seen it. The Caribbean Microwave, I heard it called that too.

Anyway … Here’s a link to them.
