Your Questions About Firefox

John asks…

How do I password protect Mozilla Firefox 2 without using a program?

My sister wont stay off Firefox after I told her not to get on it and I wanted to know if there was a way to password protect it without using a program that she can just un-install.

Michelle answers:

Make a second user account on your pc and password lock yours and hide firefox on the second account. Otherwise you cannot lock a program individually you can however block it on your firewall and unblock it when you want to use it. Or block the sites she goes to if theyre ones that you dont visit.

Mary asks…

how to use ultrasurf with firefox?

i use ultrasurf with IE,but i cant use ultrasurf with firefox, please help me

Michelle answers:

Firefox users need to download the firefox add-on besides the above software:

Download Firefox add-on(.zip)
(md5: 6ce151b1b0ef8430031a8e9a69f38806)

Installation:

Unzip it, drag the wjbutton_en.xpi file to firefox window. Click the “Install” button in the pop-up window to install it. The UltraSurf icon will show at the right-bottom of the firefox window. Close all firefox windows and re-open firefox.

A grey-out UltraSurf icon means UltraSurf is disabled. A bright colorful icon means UltraSurf is enabled. Click it to enable/disable it. To change the settings or uninstall it, go to “tools/add-ons” of firefox.

Start UltraSurf program and enable the firefox add-on, your internet activities thru Firefox will be under UltraSurf’s protection.
Automatic upgrade.

Need help with Mozilla Firefox?

How do I run Safe Mode on Mozilla Firefox

Michelle answers:

Close down Firefox completely: At the top of the Firefox window, click the File menu, and select the Exit menu item.
In Windows, click Start, open the All Programs list, and navigate to the Mozilla Firefox folder. In the Mozilla Firefox folder, select Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode). Firefox should start up with a Firefox Safe Mode dialog.
Note: You can also start Firefox in Safe Mode by clicking Start, selecting Run (or use the Start Search box in Windows 7 and Vista) and then entering the following in the text field: firefox -safe-mode
