Your Questions About Firefox

Mary asks…

How to make FireFox restore last open tabs automatically?

I’ve recently installed Mozilla FireFox onto my computer but I want to know how to make it restore my last tabs automatically. I’ve had it do this before, but now I’ve forgotten how. Any help?

Michelle answers:

Go to Tools > Preferences > Main Tab: You will see an Option to “Open Last Page When Starting Firefox(or words to that effect). Check the Box > Click “Ok and/or Apply” and that is it.

Good Luck.

Nancy asks…

Is it possible to have different browsers for different users on Windows 7? IE vs FireFox vs Chrome vs Safari?

I think the answer is yes but I want to make sure before I do something stupid. I have Firefox running on my laptop, but this PC is running Internet Explorer. Could I set my user to run Firefox while leaving Internet Explorer for the other users? And, I have only used IE and Firefox, what are your opinions on Opera, Safari, and Chrome? Thanks!

Michelle answers:

Firefox is the best

Donna asks…

How can I turn on/enable the feature that allows to preview personas in Firefox?

When ever I am browsing for personas in Firefox 4, it’s supposed to auto preview the persona when I mouse over the persona in the list of personas in the search results, but for some reason I just does not do it for my computer. How can I get it to auto preview the firefox personas when I mouse over them?

Michelle answers:

If you have “NoScript” that will block it.

Are you using the path Tools> Personas method?
Preview on the Personas website ‘gallery’ and determine what one you want to ‘preview’.

The ‘temporary’ display is glitchy when using the website from the browser, but does work if you go to Firefox> Tools> Personas> cursor over the side window> advance down the list & sub-list, then pause for a few moments.

To temporarily display a few select items:
Tools> Personas> (in right box, cursor over topics)> cursor over random items & pause for the image to load into the background> tick to make permanent.
