Your Questions About Fedex

Daniel asks…

How long does FedEx Smartpost take to deliver shipped items to USPS?

I ordered an Xbox 360 game from Amazon on October 24. I received a new tracking update 2-3 days ago, and it said my item is being held at FedEx Smartpost (1 hour away from my house). It still says ‘arrival scan’ on my package, and the estimated delivery date is scheduled for October 31 (tomorrow)! Will Fedex Smartpost be able to get my game delivered to me by then?

Michelle answers:

Since mail is not delivered today then it will be there tommrow between 7am and 11:59pm make sure your home to collect or you will have to wait till the next day

Sandra asks…

How long will Fedex going to take to arrive my cell phone order?

I recently ordered on Friday and paid all in full. I ordered from Tracfone and I chose Fedex for free three day shipping due to paying more than $20.

I’m in NY in the buffalo area. Simple as that. I don’t know where my order is coming from.

So, how long will Fedex going to take to get here?

Michelle answers:

Just as you said: 3 business days

Steven asks…

What time of the day does a fedex delivery typically happen?

I’m expecting an 2-day large envelope tommoro morning. However, I need to go to college in the morning and will be back only by1130 AM.
Are there chances that fedex could deliver before that? I’m so stressed out and don’t know what to do I don’t want to miss college and neither can I afford to miss the parcel. What do I do?
Please help
I have a tracking number, will it give me an approximate time tomorrow morning if I check?

Michelle answers:

The tracking info will tell you the latest time your package can be expected. Time of day will of course vary.

Sharon asks…

How can I have a fedex signature required package picked up at the store?

I bought something, and it’s coming via Fedex with a required signature. I won’t be at home, so Is their any way I can have them ship it to the neared fedex store so I can pick it up?:

Michelle answers:

*Usually* this isn’t too big an issue.
Some shippers (Verizon for one…) have a requirement with Fedex that their shipment(s) cannot be held at a Fedex store until after at least one delivery attempt has been made.
A few even have ‘no HAL’ (Hold At Location) specified.
There are a couple ways to get around this.
The best and most sure way (though not the easiest) is to contact the shipper and ask *them* to request Fedex deliver the package to a convenient location (check Fedex.com ahead of time to determine what locations are available).
The easiest way is to just contact Fedex yourself (1-800-GoFedex) and request that they hold the package at a nearby location. If the shipper has restrictions as noted above, one way to ‘get around’ the restriction that I have used is to send a request that the driver does *not* deliver your package – and just hold it at the hub/station. It won’t get sent to a nearby Fedex/Kinkos – but it would be there at the delivery station in the morning for you to pick up.
