Your Questions About Fedex

Daniel asks…

Does fedex deliver on Sunday?

I know regular mail dosnt but does fedex?Ups?

Michelle answers:

Normally, no.

Most of the facilities are closed on Sunday as well (though a few rare ones are open to the public.)

The only times that Fedex delivers on a Sunday is for emergency packages. And your *phone* is *not* an emergency. Emergencies (in Fedex-land) are such things as… Medical emergency (someone is in surgery, needed for operating a hospital, insulin for a diabetic), a plane ‘grounded’ (because a grounded plane means either a bunch of people or a lot of good are being kept from where they need to get), a factory down (machines aren’t running – jobs are on the line, here…), payroll delivery (and very, very, very few business have payroll delivered on Sunday) and certain ‘biological products’ (there’s a time sensitivity – can’t keep certain things frozen or colled for too long)

As a comparison, things I have heard people call ”an emergency” – that Fedex does *not* consider an emergency:
Phones (numerous times, actually…)
Artistic chocolates
Birthday gift for… Four-yr-old daughter, wife, husband, 9-yr-old son, grandson, grandparents
Anniversary gift
Textbooks needed for class that day
Computer/laptop/Kindle/Smartphone

There is a (pricey) service that Fedex offers called ‘same-day delivery’ – – whereby if you **need** a package picked up before noon and delivered 400 miles away before 8pm (or similar timing), you can have it happen – – it better be worth spending an average person’s weekly paycheck, or more, to get it there.

Carol asks…

FedEx tracking? Help please?

My mom, in Oregon, dropped my birthday gift off at FedEx on Friday the 4th of September at like 6:30 or 7:00, I believe thats after the pickup time. She sent me the tracking number and it says it’s in transit and that it was shipped on the 4th and wont arrive untill the 15th. 11 days is really long. And then under tracking details it says “Package received after final location pickup has occurred. Scheduled for pickup next business day.” that was posted on the 5th, but that makes no sense, it says it’s in transit and was shipped on the 4th. Also under the progress bar it says “shipping exception.” My birthday is on the 12th, is there any chance it may get here by then? From Oregon to Florida? Sorry if that was a confusing explanation.

Michelle answers:

As i know FedEx is safe,we usually shipped goods by EMS,DHL,UPS,FedEx.It just takes 5-7 working days to our customers. If the tracking info. Still not update you should ask the FedEx service or wait patient .Good Luck and happy brithday.

Robert asks…

Can You Receive Packages Early From FedEx?

It’s being shipped from Phoenix, AZ to Lithonia, Ga. Is their a possibility that i will receive the package by tomorrow? (Dec.31st) Here are the details:

Status now:
Dec 29, 2009 12:55 PM
Departed FedEx
location – PHOENIX, AZ

Ship date
Dec 28, 2009
Estimated delivery

Michelle answers:

FedEx Ground? It won’t happen.

FedEx 2 Day Air? Should happen (but then the estimated delivery wouldn’t have been Jan 2.)

Chris asks…

Preordered SKYRIM help Fedex delivery?!?

Preordered Skyrim… Supposed to be delivered by Fedex this friday 11/11/11 but I won’t Even be in town.. What will the Fedex guy do with my game package?

Michelle answers:

If you live in a condo or apartment (mailboxes in a lobby), i would leave a note telling fedex not to leave it outside your door or in the lobby. Tell him to hold it until you get back.

If you don’t leave any instructions, 1. He might leave it in the mailbox or outside your door. 2. He might take it back and make another delivery attempt on monday and tuesday. (fedex doesn’t deliver on saturday right?). If it does deliver on saturday, it will make an attempt on saturday and monday. After the third attempt, it will hold the package for a few more days and if nobody picks it up, it will send it back. After the third attempt, you’ll have to pick it up.

You can also arrange to have fedex deliver it somewhere else.
