Your Questions About Fedex

Mary asks…

Fedex tracking info? please help?

Okay I ordered a package weighing 3.9 lbs from ccs.com
heres the tracking site:
http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?tracknumbers=9102144385412020376147

The estimated delivery is the 13th, but that seems a little odd because I live one hour from warrendale, PA.
its in the same state not too far and its in transit

fedex smartpost

will I get it tommarow?
Its a birthday present.

Michelle answers:

FedEx Smartpost is an integration service between FedEx and USPS in the US. Your package will be delievered by the post office:

http://fedex.com/us/smartpost/

You should get the package earlier than estimated date, given the location of the package. Check back tomorrow and see if additional information are posted.

James asks…

At local FedEx facility?

What dose At local FedEx facility mean?

Michelle answers:

The package is at the nearest FedEx facility to your home and will most likely be out for delivery to your home tomorrow.

The facility is not the same as a store—our facilities (UPS calls them Hubs) is an industrial factory-type building containing loading and unloading bays, conveyor belts, and many human workers who process all the packages by hand. They are usually located in your nearest industrial area and are not always open to the public.

A FedEx “Store” is probably your local FedEx/Kinko’s (in UPS’s case…it is a UPS Store) which is simply a retail loction that accepts and charges for packaging and shipping your packages, boxes, or documents. A normal UPS or FedEx driver picks up packages going out for delivery and takes them via truck to the “facility”–or alternatively, drops off packages being delivered to the FedEx or UPS PO Boxes located in those stores (available for a price).

Charles asks…

Refused by recipient Fedex?

I checked my delivery updates at fedex.con and it says Refused by recipient what does this mean

Michelle answers:

Call Fedex asap before it gets sent back to the sender. What that message means is that they tried to deliver it and someone refused to accept it.

Betty asks…

Fedex Delivery Exception!?

Please a need help!..I ordered an item, and it happened to be by the worst of all service. Fedex Smartpost! okay the package delivery estimated was on Feb 11th and I’m writing this the next day. When I check the tracking number it says: “Delivery Exception – Customer not available or business closed – Please contact your local Post Office to pick up or reschedule the delivery” That happened on the 10th of February..And I was in my house the whole freaking day..and theres no way they couldn’t find anyone..They even not rang the bell or leaved a note..Absolutely no signs of the package what so ever. So my package says it’s suppose to be on USPS local post office..I went to my local post office, happened to be they just can’t help me! because the tracking number I gave them doesn’t work with them only with Fedex. How The F.. it’s not gonna work with them since on the tracking history says clearly they transfered the shipment information from Fedex to USPS and when I go to the USPS site my tracking number doesn’t work..Went to them and they tell me: “Sorry but when Fedex transfer the shipment info to us, they give us a different tracking number? I’m like why the hell I didn’t receive any tracking number from USPS since they have it now!..So they can’t help me or they don’t want to help me..Now the package got stuck saying: Delivery Exception” and idk what else should I do, the only tracking number I have only work with fedex not with USPS but the package USPS happen to have it.. Can someone tell me what I should do in this situation! 🙁

Michelle answers:

Fedex can’t help you much, because the PO has your package. There are 2 tracking numbers on the package 1. Fedex and 2. PO. You need the PO number or the door tag number the PO should have left when they tried to deliver it. If you’re tracking doesn’t show the PO number and you don’t have a doortag then try calling Fedex or the shipper, they may have the PO tracking number.
