Your Questions About All Natural Pregnancy Products

Ruth asks…

Bare Minerals Question?

SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!! NOT HERE FOR ANY BICKERING

Hi, I am a big fan of Mary Kay products, and i just ordered some loose press powder. Now at the same time I ordered bare minerals which is all natural and healthy for you skin, which I’m starting to enjoy very much. It gives the ultimate coverage to your skin, i was amazed how it worked on me!! Keep in mind that i ordered all these products from ebay, and didnt keep track on my winnings, because I thought i would be outbidded, plus i have a lot on my mind like these pregnancy issues. So anyway, what do you think i should do with the extra mary kay press powder, because i love the bare minerals.
The reason I asked this because i dont want to be throwing some good makeup in the garbage. Should I give it to someone else to use, or would that be wrong considering that bare minerals is healthier?

Michelle answers:

You can’t sell the powder on eBay if it’s been used. I recommend selling on Live Journal (www.livejournal.com), Laundromatic(www.laundromatic.net), LatherRinseClick(www.latherrinseclick.com), or swapping on Makeup Alley (www.makeupalley.com) or Makeup Talk (www.makeuptalk.com). You have to register to use these sites, but it is free.

Richard asks…

Whats happening with me? Pregnant or what?

Well I stopped using birth control sept 17th, which was the last inactive pill that I had and was the last day of my period. I got a normal period on oct 22-25th and then in nov. On 24th-27th. Based on these last two periods I was calculating my ovulation, and was doing my form of a natural birth control on not having sex the week of my “expected ovulation”. By what I calculated I was supposed to ovulate on the 13th of dec. On that precise day I had noticed some dark brown staining along with some cramping. The staining wasnt enough to wear femine products and lasted a total of 2 days. The cramping on the other hand has not stopped. My “expected” period, like I said, based on my last 2 periods, was supposed to arrive the 27th of dec. And has yet to show to this day. On the other hand the cramping that started on the 13th of dec. Has yet to stop. It will alternate to cramping of the back to the pelvic area, then to left of my pelvis to the right of my pelvis. They are not hardcore cramping that I would feel with a period but can some times get there, generally there are just a faint annoying sensation. Any ideas on to what may cause these weird symptoms?

I have taken 3 pregnancy tests ( clearblue easy digital)
1. On the 15th of dec.

2. On the 29th of dec.

3. Today, the 1st of jan.

All have come back negative Rolling Eyes

also….
Started on the depo shot right after I had my daughter in dec of 04. I was on that for a total of 3 shots…9 months. I let my body rest from the shot for a couple months. I got on the pill ovcon35 in july I belive and stopped taking it in sept.

Michelle answers:

If you have done the test and it come up negative then you most
likely are not but it might be good to go see you regular doctor
so he can do some test and see what the problem is

Mandy asks…

need a good moisturizer/skin care routine?

I am 23 and I have become more conciouse about aging. I have clear skin my only problem would be my dark circles but since I am pregnant I know that has a lot to do with them. I drink plenty of water and I try to eat as healthy as possible I also do my best to to get some kind of excercise. I love makeup although I’ve come to realize I like the natural look more. So I got a $40 gift card to Macy’s and I would like to use it in skincare products like a moisturizer with spf, sunblock, cleanser or what ever. Like I said I like the natural look and I just want to enhance what I already have. If you could reccomend me some great products I would really appreciate it. Also if you could reccomend what great things I could do/use to help delay the aging process and to keep radiant skin. I would eventually like to invest in a eye cream but since many eye creams have retinal and I am pregnant I’d rather stay away from them right now.
Here are the available stores in my local Macy’s
Lancome
Estee Lauder
Shiseido
Clinique
Chanel
Origins
Perscriptives
Benefit

BTW I am 23 and I have noticed that when I try some products they seem to enhance the appearence of pores and fine lines that I didnt even notice before. I am currently using Dear John by Benefit at night since it doesnt have SPF and I like how its a nice heavy cream on my dry skin. Also I dont know if its because of my pregnancy but it seems I now have some fine lines under my eyes and crows feet :o( (when I smile of course) but I would like to minimize them.
Also your reccomendations dont have to be dept store brands they could be natural skin care routines or drug store brands.

My current routine.
mornings: wash face with aveeno baby wash
ddf spf 30 moisturizer
mascara

night:
wash face with baby wash
dear john moisturizer

olay toner but it made my skin flaky and the all day moisturizing cream from olay irriated and dried my skin.

Thank you.

Michelle answers:

I’m 36 (but most say I look in my late 20’s) and I’ve tried everything. I have very sensitive, dry skin. Without a doubt the best moisturizing routine I’ve found is in a combination of pure vegetable glycerin and unrefined shea butter. You can get pure glycerin in a health food store for under $10. Shea butter can be harder since many products sold commercially are refined and therefore lose a lot of their potency. So I recommend visiting a site dedicated to quality shea butter such as http://www.sheabutterhut.com/. This is what I use, but if you google unrefined shea butter you will find lots of sites. Shea butter will never irritate your skin and works great for softening fine lines.

Shea butter has a different texture in its unrefined state and unless you melt it, it will not be creamy, but crumbly and a little hard if left under cool conditions. However, once you spread it it absorbs very easily, so don’t let this fact sway you if you decide to try it.

If you must use the gift certificate for a cream I recommend purchasing the glycerin with whatever product you use and use it in conjunction with it. A little goes a long way and it may feel oily at first but again, it absorbs rapidly. Better yet save your gift certificate for some nice makeup like Clinique and follow my skin care advice. A few years ago I used a product that irritated my skin and left it inflamed and sensitive, and I had to give up creams because the ingredients made it worse. It was only after months of trial and error that I discovered this routine, and for those with dry skin I totally advise giving it a try.
