Your Questions About The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Sandy asks…

How do I get over a guy while pregnant with his baby?

I am 22 years old, and a little over 16 weeks pregnant..very excited. On July 10th, my boyfriend and I were supposed to go to a wedding together. However, I had a doctors appt so I could not make it. His mother didnt want him to go alone, and invited a young girl from work to go with her son…meanwhile, i just went to the doctors. Come to find out by going through his phone (which i know- it was wrong) i confronted him after he started acting different the day after the wedding..and ditched our plans. He said he wants to try seeing other people, and said he just doesnt have those feelings for me, and with the girl at the wedding it came so natural. He admitted to me that he gained feelings for this girl, and they had a lot of fun together. I am devastated. Although everyone keeps telling me what a jerk he is and how bad he is treating me, I cannot seem to get over him. I miss sharing the pregnancy with someone…it hurts me so bad every day and I even experienced stress in my uterus from crying so heavily so often and I was rushed to the ER, he didnt call or check on me once.

He is now seeing this girl, just 10 days after meeting her..He says we cant talk anymore, but he wants to go to my appointments. It makes me sick to my stomach, but he is the dad of our daughter…I am now 126 pounds. When i got pregnant I was 134. He thinks he will see the baby every day when its born but I do not want his new girlfriend around our baby.. how do I get through this, I am only 16 weeks along and I have a long road ahead.

help me… šŸ™

Michelle answers:

OK, as wrong as it may be…….he is the one that chose to walk out and date other people. First off, he would not go to my dr. Appointments with me. That is a happy time to check on your baby and I would not have the stress of him going with me. He would find out what I wanted him to know and that is all. I also know that it is hard to get over someone when you are pregnant with their baby. And I am SO sorry to tell you that once that baby gets here and you see him or her, it is going to be even harder. But time does heal. It is going to take a lot of time. Now, as far as him seeing the baby every day. I would not have it. I would sue his ass for child support and then IF he paid it, I would let the courts decide how much visitation he gets. This is your child first and formost. You are in control and you make the decisions. My heart goes out to you cause I have been there…….Good luck to you and yours…:)

Helen asks…

What is the best breast pump for larger breasted women?

I have a 3month old daughter that I have been breastfeeding exclusively since birth. Since I started pumping, I have only been getting 2oz each session. I am using the lansinoh affinity double electric pump. I was able to build up a stock supply in the freezer before returning to work after a 6week maternity leave but my daughter eats up to 5oz 3-5 times a day while I am away and my freezer supply is running extremely low. I have tried all kinds of natural remedies to increase supply but I am beginning to believe, after doing some research, that my pump breast shields aren’t the right size. I don’t believe it’s my milk supply because my daughter is always satisfied after nursing. I am only bringing home about 8oz per day from pumping at work. I was a Dcup before pregnancy and am now an Ecup. When using my lansinoh pump, my nipple engulfs the tube of the shield and rubs against the sides of the it. I am ordering a larger breast shield(lansinoh only has standard and large shields) but I would much appreciate first hand experience from women with larger areola’s and breasts. Help!!

Michelle answers:

I am a GG and I use the Medella pump in style. Its not really the size of your breasts – its the size of your nipples that matters and you’re right – you may need a different size shield. Honestly I’d do a consult with a lactation professional if I were you. Also, check this out:

Nancy asks…

pregnancy decisions? Help?

umm ok, im 14, before you say its horrible that im pregnant and freak out, i know this already.. But its my responsibilty to take care of the child i created.. Yes, i know im to young and my life will change. Im currently 13 weeks pregnant, my ex bf (who might be the father) wants me to keep it, my current bf (might be the father i dated him before the other) wants me to abort it because he has no money, i tell him moneys not a problem, im always with my ex bf he’s like my go to guy when im sad. I have an abortion appiontment tomorrow but ive told my mom that i might not do it, she says its the best news shes ever heard. But to the point… Im young and my pelvis and hips arent wide enough to deliver a full term baby (is what i think) my mom says they get spongy but she wouldnt know all 7 children she tried to have she had c sections (im the only one who survived (miscarraiges)), and i mean face it im not ready for child birth and my mom agrees, i want a c section, but will the doctor give one to me if i ask? I really dont wanna go through natural birth, its kinda scary to me and its more likely i can die than a 20 year old giving birth.. Its scary knowing i might die, to me a c section is a more safer way for a person my age. i kinda need help with allot of things.

Michelle answers:

You’re not going to die, that’s the point of a doctor. He/she will deliver the baby in whatever way is necessary in the situation. As far being scared, that’s natural. I got pregnant at 16, and had my daughter at 17. It was obviously scary, I’m now 23 and haven’t had any more children yet but I know no matter what age you are, you’re going to have some nerves and anyone who says differently is just lying. As for the possible fathers, face it you may not realize it but Neither of them have any money, they’re kids too. Be prepared to raise this child alone. Your boyfriend may stick with you, but he may not. My daughter’s father stuck with me and we’re now engaged, but my situation is, unfortunately, not the norm. Be stong, be prepared for people to judge you, but realize that this is something down the line you will look back on as a blessing. Our daughter is the best thing thats ever happened to myself and my fiance, and although we were nervous as hell at first, neither of us would change a thing now

Betty asks…

Do i have a good argument for getting rid of age of consent laws?

Firrstly, age of consent laws can be very confusing for kids as there are such huge differences in opinions. For example in the USA, it can be 18. In the neighbouring country Mexico it can be 12 in some districts. Thats a huge difference. Such indecisiveness among lawmakers can breed contempt for the law.

Secondly, there have been many cases where age of consent laws have ruined many young peoples lives. For example 17 year old Marlow Wilson was jailed for receiving consensual oral sex from a 15 year old at a party. He received a 10 year sentence, but out of sheer luck served only two. These laws are indiscriminate and do not take into consideration individual circumstances.

Thirdly, one of the main arguments for age of consent laws is to tackle teen pregnancies. However, western countries with very low age of consent laws such as Sapin where it is 13 have far lower teen pregnancy rates than the US where age of consent is generally between 16 and 18.

Fourthly, such laws are intrusive to male teens. According to some studies, men reach their sexual peak in their teens. It is unfair for elderly men or middle aged lawmakers to pass laws whose only affect would be to make youngsters feel ashamed about their hormones or natural curiosity.

Fifthly, such laws were initially intended to protect children from predators, but in practise these laws have shifted and extended their focus to meddling in teenagers private lives.

Sixthly, teenagers have a tendency to rebel. Therefore passing such laws might arguably have the opposite effect.

Seventhly, a lot of advocates of such laws tend to follow conservative political views which are often motivated by religious values such as “abstinence” or “no sex before marriage”. But why should religious values be imposed upon the irreligious?

Eighthly. puberty rather than date of birth determines the sexual maturity of humans and other animals. Also mental maturity is not always linked to someones age, but rather can differ widely among people of various age groups.

Finally, people cannot help at what age they fall in love. Some people do not fall in love until their thirties. Others do in their early teens. It is unethical to allow strangers in suits and ties to interfere in such intimate, personal and sensitive situations. Such matters should rather be handled by parents.

Michelle answers:

1) Whether or not law confuses anyone is not a useful argument
2) The judge can and often does take circumstances into account. Now, when legislators pass minimum sentencing clauses and other such “tough on crime measures” that take discretion out of the judges hands, then there is a problem.
3) Unless you can show a causal connection between age of consent and teen pregnancy, this is not an argument. Mere correlation means nothing. Some other factor, such as education, could be the driving force in each case.
4) Age of consent is not about anyone’s sexual peak. It is about how and when cognitive changes occur that make people behave more rationally.
5) Again, you need evidence.
6) Exactly why they should not be treated as adults.
7) Religious arguments should not be the basis of law regardless of whether the law is enforced on those who or religious or not. Separation of church and state.
8) Most cognitive changes are directly linked to neurological changes that occur at relatively predictable times in life.
9) One does not need to have sex in order to be in love.

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Charles asks…

I missed my period by two days now. What should my hCG be?

I took a pregnancy test on the day I missed my period and it came out positive. Really faint but definitely noticable.
I went to get a blood test the next day (day 2 of missed period) to confirm. The result came out positive. My hCG level was 53. She said I was probably a week or two into my pregnancy. She said that was normal.
I went to get another blood test today (day 4 missed period) and I have to wait a couple days to find out my hCG level. It should go up double and I’m PRAYING that it does.
This will be our first baby.
I was pregnant last month but I had a chemical pregnancy and a natural miscarriage.
We didn’t think I would get pregnant so soon but the doctors said it was okay to get pregnant after my first missed period.
I’m afraid of having another chemical pregnancy. That was just heartbreaking =( . I knew I had a miscarriage the last time before I went to the doctors when I started bleedig (like I got my period) and my hCG started to go down really quickly.
I’m hoping and prayig that this time around, everything works out for the best.
I heard after 6 weeks, chances of having a chemical pregnancy goes down and after the first trimester, it goes down even more.
My last first day of my period was on July 13th. It is now August 20th. How many weeks pregnant would that make me? But the nurse said that I’m probably about 1 or 2 weeks pregnant according to my hCG.

Baby dusts to all you ladies ttc <3

And thanks in advance for sharing any information or experiences =)

Michelle answers:

You would be about 5 weeks with that lmp… Hcg varies drastically for everyone, it can go something like this:

3 weeks LMP: 5 – 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 – 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 – 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 – 56,500 mIU/ml
7 – 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 – 229,000 mIU/ml
9 – 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 – 288,000 mIU/ml
13 – 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 – 254,000 mIU/ml
17 – 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 – 165,400 mIU/ml
25 – 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 – 117,000 mIU/ml

Maria asks…

Given my history, should I test now?

I’m sorry if I confuse anyone. I am trying give as much detail as possible.

I have had 2 pregnancies that I have been charting for. My normal cycle is 27 days. I have ovulated every month on day 18 for the last 15 months. I have been charting for natural family planing this time around. This month I ovulated on cycle day 14 (with bd on cd 11 & 12). My normal luteal phase is 9 days. On my last 2 pregnancies I had bfp on cd 10 with a 2nd temp rise. So I’m on cd 10 now with light spotting, 2nd temp rise with a temp drop (but still above cover line), slight nausea, slightly tender breasts and slight fatigue. My cycle is due in 3 days (for a 27 day cycle). These are all the signs I got with my last 2 pregnancies, but I also worry that I’m making more of the “symptoms” then need be. As you will see in my profile, I have had 3 unsuccessful pregnancies. All of those pregnancies I had a cycle the first month…so waiting until my missed period does not work for me.

So now my question is….should I test now, or wait?

I am a high risk pregnancy. My fear is that I test too early and get a false neg and do nothing when I should be seeing the doctor.

Nov. 18= cd 1
Dec. 1= cd 14 Ovulation
Dec. 5= 4 dpo temp drop below cover line with spotting
Dec. 6= 5 dpo temp went back up with spotting
Dec. 8= 7 dpo w/2nd temp rise
Dec. 10 = 9 dpo w/temp drop to normal post ovulation temp. and slight spotting
Dec. 11= 10 dpo w/same temp as day before and lighter spotting then day before

Michelle answers:

If you take a test now, you have to prepare yourself for the fact it might be too early, therefore it may be negative (happened to me yesterday) so if you can hold out a few more days, do so! Baby dust to u xx

Susan asks…

Dreams about pregnancy why?

I keep Avin dis dreams dat I took a test and dere was a faint Line and den I later on have my baby natural birth but it was not my partners. I dnt understand cos I took a test yesterday and it was negative. Has anyone experienced dis b4? Am not cheating on my partner so why wnt dis pregnancy dreams stop?

Michelle answers:

There is no reason. The dream doesn’t have meaning.

Sandra asks…

Has anyone gotten pregnant while on the Nuva Ring?

I just started the Nuva Ring and am in my second week of the second ring. Is stomach cramping a normal side effect? If so, when (if ever) will this subside?

Some background info: I had some spotting in the first month before my period (I am guessing that’s normal). I had a normal period and started the second ring when I was supposed to.

I didn’t do well on hormonal birth controls in the past (nausea). My husband and I had our first child 18 months ago, so this is the first hormonal bc I have been on for several years. I know it’s highly unlikely to be pregnant since I started the ring during my last natural period, but has anyone gotten pregnant while on the ring? What tipped you off? My stomach cramps feel just like my first pregnancy, so it’s making me pause. I know the hormones simulate pregnancy, so I just wanted to see if this is common or if it sounds unusual. It would probably be too early to run a pregnancy test. Cramping came on suddenly right at second week to the day.

Michelle answers:

I used nuva ring for about 1 1/2 years and never got pregnant , I didn’t have cramping though, so I’m not sure I would talk to your dr and see what they say, i did however find that I had a much lower sex drive, that was about the only side effect I had

Your Questions About The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Helen asks…

What will happen if me and this married man about to have a baby make love?

I’m a 21 year old girl. I’m blond, tanned and to be honest i’ve a body to die for. I’m not that braney, but my body and looks are my ticket to freedom. On top of that i’ve got really big breasts and they are natural which gets me loads of male attention. The thing is one of the men at work is flirting heavily with me and has asked me for a drink, and i’m giving it loads. I wear really sexy tight shirts and sexy outfits to work and his eyes are literally out on stalks. His wife is on her second pregnancy so i know hes probably fed up with the domestic situation, lack of sex and baby pooh and an overweight frumpy wife waddling around. If i get it on with him what will happen

Michelle answers:

I just wonder what cheap pleasure you dirty flirting women get by destroying the happiness of a peaceful family.

What would you do, if you become a wife and your husband is disturbed by a filthy woman like you?

I think you are the most ugliest specimen on the earth.

Cheers to all thumbs up ladies here. Luv you all…

Imhawda, that was the same thing i was wondering, If she is so beautiful, why the hell would she go behind a married man??(I think she’s too ugly looking)

Carol asks…

What do you think about Kendra Wilkinson (Baskett)’s weight gain?

She just had a baby, but I was noticing that during her pregnancy she did gain some weight and she still has some of that extra weight on her. I think she looks much healthier and natural, not even the slightest bit fat. Before, she was so, so skinny and her head didn’t look like it fit quite right on her body which usually means you are too skinny for your frame.

So I was watching the commercial where she says (as she tries on a pair of jeans) “Size 26?!!?! I use to wear a size 23!!!”

Isn’t size 26 still skinny?! I mean she’s like 5’5″, I think a 26 is what? A size 1 or something? I am on the skinny side at 5’8″ and I wear a 28. I was excited to wear a 28. lol…maybe I should think again

Anyways, do you like the old Kendra or new Kendra’s body better?
well idk about kendra…but my BMI is a 21.3…

hers must be something like 18 maybe? idk

Michelle answers:

I like the new Kendra. She looks much more healthier (plus did you see her at the academy awards she look gorgeous). To me she looked very skinny but after the baby she looks much more healthier…

Betty asks…

I want a baby but worried not the right time or not enough money?

I am 23 years old, and have been with my boyfriend for 5 years (and counting!) and about 2 years ago, I started having the worst baby cravings like every couple of months. I know that I am a little young, but at this point in my life I really feel like its the next step I want to take. I have always been mature for my age & have already thought of the many things to consider when starting to think about having babies. I feel no need to go out drinking or partying with my friends or any of that childish stuff – and the 5 years my DB an I have been together, I feel like we’ve already past the point of the spend lots of time with just the two of you..blah blah blah.

The reason I am having trouble with this is because I know that financially – its not the right time for this. We both make decent money, about $50 a year between the two of us – but with what debt we do have, it would really be a bad idea to bring more debt into the picture. Its not like we’re behind, its just we would be so tight on money it would be miserable. I also have thouroughly thought it through, and I KNOW that I want to be a stay at home mom, and I don’t want to have to worry about money when I am not working. Right now, that would definitely not happen – I would have to work. My DB and I have talked much about starting our own business and all, but again – financially we are not ready nor do we have the room to take the risk. I mean, I know people say you’ll never be $$$ ready for kids, but I don’t want to play it stupid. I would be interested in cloth diapering and doing any kind of natural parenting I could, not only because it’d be beneficial for the child but financially as well.

Another thing bothering me is that I really should lose about 60 pounds to be at my recommended weight – and I think right now if I were to get pregnant, I would be already so fat and uncomfortable – I don’t think I could enjoy my pregnancy. I want to feel beautiful pregnant, not just extra fat lol.

I do also want to throw in there that I am currently not attending college, and we already own our own house. We are not really concerned with being married before child, but are not opposed to it either. My family would probably be more concerned with the marriage thing that us.

So maybe what I am asking is how did you cope with the feeling that you want a child and want to become a mother, but just cant right now due to one reason or another? I keep thinking of the things I want accomplish before hand to keep my mind off of it, but it seems like lightyears away!

Any NICE & HELPFUL answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
I should also add that I have done the whole “get a pet” thing…I have 2 dogs and 2 cats lol.

I also want to emphasize the question about how much money a baby cost for the first part of his or her life. I did want to try to talk to my boyfriend about it more, as I haven’t really shared with him my want for a baby. I know he does want children, but his answer would simply be “we’re not financially ready yet” so I don’t even bother mentioning it most the time. I might slip in a word about it here or there but that’s about it.
..HA, and in the paragraph about $$$, we make $50k a year…not $50 lol

Michelle answers:

Go with your first instincts dear woman. I think you’re right not to second guess them. You are still very young and have time later on to have kids. I was also 23 when asked about them, I said learn to take care of the cat and we’ll talk.

Sharon asks…

what is your most likely diagnosis about this case?

A 19 year old female is brought into the emergency department complaining of abdominal pain and diarrhea of 3 days’ duration. She has also bee nauseous and has not been able to drink much liquids. Five days ago she returned from camping trip in New Mexico, but did not drink from natural streams. She denies fever, but states that she had some chills. Her stools have been watery, brown and profuse. The patient denies health problems. On examination, the patient is thin and pale. Her mucous membranes are dry. Her temperature is 37.2 deg. Celsius, heart rate: 110 beats per minute, blood pressure of 90/60 mmHg. The skin has no lesions. Heart and lung exams are unremarkable except for tachycardia. The abdominal examination reveals hyperactive bowel sounds and no masses. There is diffuse mild tenderness but no guarding or rebound. Rectal examination demonstrates no tenderness or masses, and is guaiac negative. The complete blood count reveals a leukocyte count of 16, 000 cells/cubic mm. The pregnancy test is negative.
do you think this is “crohn’s disease”?

Michelle answers:

I’m guessing not enough people are educated enough to answer your question on y!a – perhaps find a medical website/forum and ask there.

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Chris asks…

started birth control patch?

My periods have always been regular I would always use the natural family planning method to avoid pregnancy. I recently started to use the patch about 3 days before my period was suppose to start. well I’m on my second patch and I still havent had my period is this due to the birth control? they did a pregnancy test before I got the b’c and it was negative but could it have been too early? Why didnt i get my period?

Michelle answers:

First off, I know that they say you should start any new form of BC the Sunday after your period ends… But lets face it… That’s not always possible. When I was on the patch I start it before my period started as well.

The late period is most likely from the birth control. It always takes a while for your body to adjust to the changes in the hormones. Sometimes up to 6 months. Just give it some time. You’re probably going to have some light spotting as well. This too is normal. Just give your body some time to adjust. You should get your period a few days after you remove the third patch.

One thing you have to be careful about though… Keep an eye on the area where you have the patch. And make sure to put it in a different spot the next time you put it on. If you get a rash that won’t go away after a week… Then talk to your doctor about it. That’s what happened to me. Turns out that I had developed an allergy to the adhesive on the patch. I know it doesn’t happen all the time, but just something to be aware of.

The patch is great. It will help keep your periods regular. Just give your body some time to adjust to the new hormones.

Lisa asks…

How can I turn a breech baby naturally?

I am 36 weeks pregnant and my baby is still in the head up position.
I have been considered a high risk pregnancy so I get ultrasounds and stress test every week. My doctor wants me to schedule my c section but I was really hoping for a natural birth. Has anyone out there had sucess in turning a breech baby naturally?

Michelle answers:

You still have time for your baby to turn around. One of my babies was breech, but turned around by the time labor came. You can try getting on all fours & staying there as long as possible to see if the baby flips on his own. But really, you still have plenty of time for him to turn around, so I wouldn’t get too worried about it yet. Maybe your doc wants to schedule a c-section due to you being high risk, not because the baby is breech at this point.

Jenny asks…

Period weirdness – come of the pill 6 months ago?

I came of the pill in april and have been having quite big gaps between periods which i understand is normal. However, on Friday I bled (only a small amount) I assumed this was the start of my next period. However, no more blood came. Come saturday same amount of blood – again not much at all. Sunday nothing, Monday Nothing, tuesday nothing and today nothing.

I am trying to concieve so did the natural thing and took a pregnancy test which came back negative.

Has anyone experienced this disappearing period act before? Does it sound normal for someone who suspects they are not pregnant ?

I have had lady pains – seen as i’ve only been off the pill for 6 months i’m still trying to know what the typical period lady pains are though.

Any thoughts?
Just to add – the bleeding started during a 5km run that i went for during my lunch hour – i have only been running for approx 7 months – the 5km distance was my longest distance to date.

Michelle answers:

Good morning,
From what I’ve read it seems to be pretty normal. Also your nerves could get the best of you especially if your trying to conceive. After stopping any form of birth control, it can take your body a while before a regular menstrual cycle begins.

Have you started:
*exercising (cardio, running, etc)
*stressing about anything
*poor dieting

Those can also be contributors to a delay in some women’s cycles. If you still don’t see your cycle, and your not completely comfortable with the idea, schedule an appointment with your local physician

Michael asks…

How far along am i after a miscarriage?

I had a natural miscarriage (no D&C) a week before my birthday…July 14th. Starting about a week ago i started getting pregnancy symptoms and i took a test and it came out positive…So its August 26th now….So its going on 8 weeks since my miscarriage…How far along am i? What do i tell the doctors when i go in? Im so confused on what to do! Please help!!

Michelle answers:

First, remember that home pregnancy tests only measure if there is human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG), the hormone produced in a woman’s body when she is pregnant. It can take quite some time after a miscarriage for all the hCG present in your body to leave, so a pregnancy test doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant, but that you still have the pregnancy hormone in your body.

In your case, you’ll need an ultrasound to determine it for sure if your pregnant; if your doctor uses blood testing alone (which also tests for just hCG), then you may get a false positive.

Blessings to you!

Your Questions About The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Robert asks…

My exgirlfrien said she was raped. She had no signs of it but her mood. There was nothing else, was this real.?

She came home, sore after staying at her girlfiriends, she has stayed there before but not come home so sore. She hid the fact until the next day even though it was obvious something was wrong. There was no physical evidence, she said she went to the hospital and reported, but no papers, no documents. I seemed to want proof. The next week she had the pregnancy scare. This whole time is a living hell for me so I qeustion it happening and she becomes mad. I seemed to do more damage than the supposed rape. I never found out if it was actually true, no real details. She was at the bar with a friend, the friend left her at the bar so she got a ride with an old high school friend, he supposedly took a detour pulled over and raped her, she had no signs of a struggle, looked alright, all her long natural finger nails where there, was it true, does that sound true, am I a bad person for not believing or getting mad, why would she not tell me more, what should i have doen, I still want to know?

Michelle answers:

Not rape. Maybe sex harassment

Thomas asks…

Your opinions on teen sex.?

I used to be for abstinence and waiting for marriage. However, I’ve matured a lot and realized that sex is a natural part of life, and I don’t see why it must be saved for your husband/wife. As long as you’re safe (prevent unwanted pregnancy and STDs) then I don’t see what the problem is. I think it should be a personal choice that should not be looked down upon. Personally, I chose to lose my virginity at 16 (I’m still 16), and while I do regret who I lost it to, I don’t regret losing it in general. I personally should’ve waited a little longer to realize I wasn’t meant to be with that guy, but I have 16 year old friends who are in love with their boyfriends and don’t regret losing their virginity to them. I don’t see how having SAFE (keyword, safe) sex is irresponsible or immoral.
Also, I think birth control should be more readily available to teens. Denying birth control does NOT prevent teens from having sex, but rather leads to teen having unsafe sex. Allowing birth control does NOT give teens a free pass to have sex, but rather leads to a safer experience if one thing leads to another.
I’d like to hear others’ WELL THOUGHT OUT opinions on these things.
Safari Girl:
Not everyone shares your beliefs. I commend your personal choice, but it’s just that–a PERSONAL choice. I don’t look down upon you for your choice, and I don’t feel I should be looked down upon for mine. Not saying you’re looking down on me, but many people do look down on sexually active teens. I’m just saying, I think it’s up to the individual person and everyone should respect that.
Elizabeth:
I agree, birth control is currently more available now than in the past. I can get it free from a local clinic. However, I was mostly aiming that paragraph towards parents who refuse to allow their teens to go on birth control. I consequently have gone behind my parents back to get it. Parents shouldn’t be so niave and realize that teens will have sex if they want to, regardless of if you put them on birth control or not.

Michelle answers:

I am 16 and I have had many boyfriends, I believe in waiting for marriage. Many guys have broken up with me for that, but that just proves how many of them are jerks! If they can not wait then they are not right for you. Yes we think that we are mature and responsible but years from now I think that we will look back and think “What were we thinking” and “We did what!”. You should save your self for your husband because you want to give him your all but you can give him anything at all if you already gave it away to some stupid high school boyfriend. It is immoral, god says to wait, he created us so I think that we should be thankful enough to go by the rules that he gives us. Just because you do what he says does not mean that you have to be this goody too shoes cause trust me I am not, we all make mistakes but we should try and prevent them and not give in to temptation. People will actually give you tons of respect if you do not give in to peer pressure, believe it or not.

Joseph asks…

do you recommend Magnetic boots for horses that stock up?

i have a 12 year old half arabian that i’ve always ridden a lot.. but last winter i went through some moving and he ended up getting a couple of months off right after i got his shoes removed.. he started stocking up at night.. when i’d bring him out of his stall the next morning he’d be really stiff and sore, after walking around the barn for about 3 mins OR cold hosing he’d be just fine.. now this year i ended up pregnant right around this time of year again, so now he has another break, again right after he had his shoes pulled for the winter (this is all coinsidance i swear lol) and he’s started stocking up at night again.. he’ll be out to pasture ALL day, go in his stall for the night and be swollen and sore in the morning.. i’ve owned him for 5 years and this has NEVER been a problem.. even when i boarded at a barn where there was NO turn out and he was in his stall all day unless i was working him and no problem there.. now my concern is that i’m moving back to that barn with no turn out as my sister boards there still until i’m done with my pregnancy, i’m worried that he’s going to have a problem, now i know that horses get stocked up from lack of movement, but i honestly don’t know if this newly acquired thing is from him getting his shoe’s pulled? not getting worked? or his body just doesn’t like sitting still anymore? i don’t know because i started doing all of this around the same time BOTH YEARS, go figure haha..
anyways, i was reading about magnetic boots and it sounds like a good idea..
i wanted to buy these ones called Natural Vibrations..
i was looking at their website and they have bell boots and these ankle bracelets, since he swells in all 4 legs, i was thinking about getting the bell boots for his front feet and the Ankle Bracelets for his back feet? do you think thats too much? and do you know if they stay on for only a couple of hours at a time? 24/7? 12 hours a day? it also sounds like a good idea as has underrun heals, i’ve been working on this problem for 3 years (bought him with the problem) he’s had his feet done every 6 weeks religiously since i started trying to fix it., done trims, shoeing.. nothing seems to help too much. but these mention underrun heals.. so maybe it’ll help in that category too??
anyways any help helps.. thanks so much for reading my monsterous question:) hope i didn’t bore you too much lol

Michelle answers:

It’s a little sketchy yet. Yes the magnets are meant to attract the iron in the blood and promote healthy circulation….. Still not convinced myself.

My guy can get a little puffy from time to time and I now have him on MSM and founderguard. Has done the trick for him. The founderguard has really helped with his feet too as he’s just been through a really bad bout of seedy toe and abscesses.

There’s also “ice boots” you could give a try. You soak them in water then wrap the legs. The cooling effect reduces any swelling.

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Mandy asks…

Birth Control Pills: Breakthrough bleeding or no bleeding after stopping?

About 2 months ago I was missing my pills some and I only had a very very light one day period. This month, I’ve stopped taking my pills (thinking I could figure out my cycle and get back on my natural one) and have had no period. My friends/family tell me I’m either pregnant or something is seriously wrong b/c they insist stopping the pill causes breakthru bleeding and not just a total absense of period. What do you all know/think? I don’t know to worry or not. I mean if I take a pregnancy test and it’s negative then I’m going to freak out and think something is seriously wrong. Anyone have insight?

Michelle answers:

I don’t think anything is seriously wrong with you. Your cycle is messed up because you have not been taking the pill correctly. It could take a few month before your period is back to normal. Take a test and see if you are pregnant. You could be if you have had unprotected sex since you were not taking the pill correctly.
It is most likely one of two things: 1 you are pregnant…2 you cycle is not on track due to the pill.
You do not have to have break through bleeding. No offense but your friends don’t know what they are talking about. The lack on correct information can stress you out and this can also cause you to be late.
I have been on a number of different birth control pills, Depro, and the patch. I have had many side effects, missed periods, and break through bleeding. I am now off birth control because my husband and I have decided to start a family. It took my period about 6 months to be on schedule. I did not have break through bleeding when I stopped and I missed my period the 1st month.
If you are not pregnant and you still don’t have your period by the next month, call your doctor. I am not saying you have a problem, but the doctor will know you and the birth control better than someone who does not know you. The doctor can give you the information you need.
You will be fine and just need to calm down. Stress will only make things worse.

David asks…

Pregnant immediatly after a miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks 3 days and it was natural with no D&C. I just took a pregnancy test my period is due tomorrow and it shows positive. Has anyone had a successful or unsuccessful pregnancy after getting pregnant immediatly after a miscarriage? I didn’t even get to have a regular period not once. Please any advise.
I had the miscarriage on June 16th and my HCG was taken and was back to normal, and now a month later a positive shows on a home pregnancy test.

Michelle answers:

Hi i was in a similar situation as you with my 2nd pregnancy i had a miscarriage at 9 weeks, 3 months later i had an eptopic pregnancy with emergency surgery and believe it or not 3 months after that i was pregnant again and very scared. It all turned out okay however and i now have a healthy 3yr old girl
good luck

Nancy asks…

So sick; end of pregnancy; what can I do?

I’m 39 weeks pregnant. Every morning I wake up feeling terrible. I’m tired, weak, dizzy, and feel faint. The worst part is the breathlessness. Even when I’m laying down I feel like I can’t get enough air.

I’m for sure anemic. I know because they test for that in their regular tests. I was anemic right from the start. I took iron until a couple weeks ago when I discovered I was taking too much and it was poisoning me. I was still anemic, even after taking that much, so I switched to folic acid supplements and felt better for a while. Now I feel as terrible as ever, but if I take any iron at all, I feel even worse.

I’ve also had a routine test show that my liver function was low at the beginning of the pregnancy but a follow-up test showed no problems. Just a couple weeks ago, another test showed that my protein levels were low. The doctor just told me to eat more protein but I am already eating quite a bit because I crave high-protein foods.

The worst part is my doctor refuses to do anything about my problems. I’m living overseas right now and am on my third doctor. I stuck with him because at least he doesn’t throw me out of his office when I disagree with him. The problem is that whenever I try to tell him how I feel, he just tells me it’s normal in pregnancy. I’ve argued, insisted on specific tests, pointed out that I didn’t feel like this in my last three pregnancies, but he won’t do anything.

I feel like there’s something seriously wrong. I feel like I’m going to die every morning when I can’t catch my breath. I’ve tried all the natural methods I can find to induce labor, hoping that whatever the problem is it will go away when the baby is born, but so far no luck. If anyone has any insight into what might be the problem, what I can do to feel a little better so I can make it the next few days until I have the baby, or what I can do to bring on labor and get this over with, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Michelle answers:

Unfortunately this is normal for some pregnancies. Each pregnancy is different. Your doctor is right. Hang in there, you don’t have very much longer to go.

Donald asks…

Why is it that I get weak when I dont get enough natural sugar?

With my first son I was borderline anemic and they tested me after the pregnancy and I was ok. With my second son I was borderline gen diabetic, however they did not test me after I had him. Now on occasion I have noticed I get weak if I don’t eat certain foods. I have noticed they have to have some natural sugar in them. I get shaky and if I eat anything with artificial sugar and not natural sugar I get worse the more I eat. Could this mean that I am getting to become a diabetic? What do you think I should do? I have tried to make an appointment with my doctor but they said they are not scheduling appointments until July due to the Swine Flu. They want to keep their schedules open. I think that’s crap.

Michelle answers:

Do you know anyone who is diabetic and has a blood glucose meter? If so, take your blood glucose reading in the morning after fasting 12 hours. If it is 120 or higher, there’s a good chance you are diabetic. This is the easiest way to tell without going to the doctor first. If your reading is high, then you should go to see a doctor. If it is below 80, then you may be hypoglycemic, which is a condition often seen as the opposite of diabetes, recognized by low blood sugar/high insulin levels.

Your Questions About The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Sandra asks…

Is it weird that i don’t want to get married or have kids?

I just don’t think that pregnancy or marriage is for me. I am 13 and i know that i am a bit young to be thinking about this but i can’t help but think about it. My parents have been married for 15 years and have two kids (me and my 9 year old brother) They always fight and they can’t agree about anything. I can’t help but think that they have wasted their lives slaving away in boring jobs trying to provide for me and my brother. (my mum works in a nursery and my dad is a banker)

I have my life all planned out. I want to leave school with good exam results and join sea Shepherd for two or three years. I want to get a well paid job when i am not in Antarctica or Taiji bay with Sea Shepherd. I then plan on starting a charity or an organization to reintroduce species of animals to the wild. (such as wolves to the Scottish highlands or lions to North America) Or a charity to supporting homeless runaways or an organization for better conditions in zoos and labratories for animals across the world. I plan to find someone who i love and who has the same beliefs as me. I just don’t plan on getting married in case it all goes wrong. Marriage also seems like the end of youth and freedom and the start of stress and ageing.

I am also scared by the pain of giving birth and a baby seems like such a massive responsibility. And you are still stuck with them when they turn 18. I love children and babies and they are fun to babysit but i think that they just get in the way of your life. I have done a few babysitting jobs and i have helped out at my local stables and animal charity and i love animals more than children if i am honest. I love animals and i want to preserve the natural world for future generations.

My whole family loves children and they think it is wrong not to have a child unless you physically can’t. My friends all think the same. A few days ago we started the conversation of babies and children. They all said that they wanted to get married and have children in their early twenties. They asked me when i wanted to have children and i told them that i didn’t plan on ever getting married or having children. They were shocked. They all said that it was wrong to think like that. I said that the world population was at 7 billion and that i was doing the world a favour. They then said that humans are the best species of animal and that we are far better than any species of animal. I got into a huge debate about it with them.

My parents and i then started a discussion about retirement over dinner last night and my mum said “I can’t wait until you have kids Luisa!” I felt so guilty about my desicion never to have kids at that point. she then started talking about how she couldn’t wait for me to get married and how she was so excited about seeing my ring and my dress. I told her that i was too young to be thinking about that sort of thing. my mum just said “of course, I’m getting ahead of myself.” But you couldn’t miss the excitement in her eyes. I just know that when i do tell her that i don’t want to have children she will be so dissapointed in me. I feel like it is my duty to have children to please my parents. But then another part of me remembers that i have a cause to fight for and that i want to change the world for the better. So my questions are really “am i wrong not to have children?” and “Is it weird that i don’t want kids or to get married”

Michelle answers:

My very attractive daughter never wanted kids, and she told me this. She lives with her boyfriend and she is now in her 40`s with no kids.
She once said to me. Sorry Dad, I am not going to provide you with any grandkids, I don`t want any kids.
I said exactly what you said (you sound really intelligent for a 13 yr old by the way) I said, the world is already overpopulated. Half the world is starving and kids are dying of hunger. So no, it doesn`t bother me at all.

Most women who have kids do it for selfish reasons. They do it for themselves. For the whole mother experience, which is natural of course. Basically they are not bothered abut the over-population question. If you mention it, they will look at you in bewilderment and say `I want babies, what has that got to do with it!” They can`t even see the connection (or don`t want to). They just say it is their right to have babies.

You do what YOU want in life and sod everyone else. These days, with birth control, you can get the sex thing out of your system without getting lumbered with kids. As for getting married, that also seem to be a dying institution.

You posed a good question. Good Luck to you.

Betty asks…

Did sex start labor for you?? If not what did?

The last time I “did it” I gave my self very strong braxton hicks..and they lasted for days….I was miserable. It was painful and I couldn’t sleep.
That was a few weeks ago. I didn’t want to go thru that again so I laid off on the old..s,e,x…lol. Now that I’m 38 weeks. I’m wondering if it will start things for me. I’ve been reading and it seems the most effective way to start labor yourself is to have sex..but it doesn’t work for anyone…did it work for you? I know walking helps…but…apart from walking around stores ..I can’t go walking..since the ground is SO snowy and icy…
The baby weighs about 8 1/2 lbs already and is at station -1….so as you can imagine I’m VERY uncomfortable…
I know its all part of the late pregnancy thing. This is my 2nd baby..the reason I’m so eager to go into labor is because I’m at risk for another c-section. Which I HATED..I didn’t want one..but HAD to have one.the recovery was AWFUL! I had to take pain meds that made me loopy..I just hated it lol. I don’t want one this time because I will never be able to have kids the natural way after that. This is my last chance!! no dr’s around here will do VBAC’s after a 2nd c-section.
If the baby isn’t born naturally by the week of my due date..They are just going to give me a c-section. I really don’t want that šŸ™

So did sex work for you? If not..what did? ?
I have IBS and I’m anemic…so I’m not taking anything to start labor…lol…
Castor oil is like..begging for diarrhea..and with IBS?? no thanks lol
I can ask for an induction..they wont do it.

becasue of the c-section.. the scar is more likely to tear from the pitocin

Michelle answers:

Nothing will work not even castor oil , I tried everything and nothing happened. C sections I’ve had 3 and after that I had 2 natural so I don’t know why you are being told that if you have another c-section you won’t be able to have one natural. Hopefully you will go into labor soon but other then them inducing it I don’t know what else you could try.

Lisa asks…

should i have had a c-section?

my daughter is 8 months old and i had a c-section i think i have ppd. i cry for no reason and everytime i think about my c-section and how the docter and everyone in the room laughed at me. the docter also told me the only way he would deliver my daughter was a c-section i was 9 months and this is when he decided to tell me. he said i have a narrow pelvis. i weighted 245 at the end of my pregnancy. yea she was born healthy and but im a single mother and was living with my grandmother (shes 69) so i had no help . i had told him that and he didnt care i had a scheduled c-section he also told me that if i didnt show he wouldnt deliver my daughter and no other docter would either. he did a sloppy job on my c-section and im still im pain 8 1/2 months later. now people are telling me that i will never experience natural childbirth is it true pls help!!!
they laughed cuz i said i didnt want to go through with it anymore . also he had scheduled it the day of my 18 bday and i said no so it was the day after

Michelle answers:

If you are still hurting seek medical help at another hospital with a different doctor. Ask for a referral to a psychologist/ psychiatrist/ therapist to have someone to help you sort these issues out. If you are crying for no reason, that is reason enough to think that you may have post-partum depression. Good luck and switch doctors ASAP.

Helen asks…

Yay im soo happy today! We made it?

I miscarried back on the 8th of Oct. i think i was around 7 8 weeks but not sure because i never made it to my dating ultrasound :(. I was devastated as i never expected to miscarry as i have a healthy 3 yr old boy. Both the doctor at the ER and my doctor told me is was ok to start trying again after my bleeding stopped as it was a natural miscarriage and bleeding lasted 5 days. I was still a little bit weird about trying so soon so my fiance and i sat down and spoke about how we both felt and accepted our loss. After we talked we felt so much better and we were looking forward to the future. We had sex again just over 2 weeks after i miscarried and to my surprise fell pregnant! I was very skeptical about being pregnant again and tried not to think about it so i wouldnt be scared or stress. I waited 10 weeks before i went for my dating ultrasound which was last week. I laid down and waited for nothing to come up on the screen, even though i had been sick for the past 5 weeks before and knew i was pregnant i still didnt think it was true. So the ultrasound lady put the thing on my tummy and within 2 seconds she said im glad your laying down right now, because you have twins! I froze, blanked out and it felt like i was dreaming! i expected to be pregnant but never thought it would be with twins. But we are over the moon and today is our 12 week mark! So we are so happy today! We are hoping and praying for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy birth of our twins!

Baby dust to all trying to conceive!
Just remember stop trying and stop stressing it will happen!!

Michelle answers:

Yea good for you! I totally understand. After the birth of my son who is 3 now I had 3 miscarriages. Now I am 25 weeks pregnant. I know it is a wonderful feeling! Soon you will be able to feel those wonderful babies. Best of Luck!

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Joseph asks…

Should I buy a pregnancy test?

I am probably freaking out too soon. But I read answers about birth control and everything on here. I have been on the pill reclipsen for 17 days (Im on the week before the inactive week) and I had unprotected sex once with my boyfriend on the 10th day I have been taking the pill. Before I did this with him I read the info packet and it said you can have sex without a second form of protection after the 7th day. I was on the quick start of the pill so I know my period will start next week supposedly (a week late compared to my natural cycle). I am just worried because people say to wait a month on here when the info packet and other credible sites such as livestrong take it a week before you have unprotected sex. Also, I had unprotected sex 2 times on Sunday with my boyfriend. I have had unprotected sex a total of 3 times since I have been on the pill. I am seeing him tomorrow should I make him use a condom? He knows I’m worried about this and should I buy a pregnancy test to if my period doesn’t start next week like its suppose to while I’m on the pill?

Thanks I’m just really worried… I have no symptoms tho and I’m not experience side effects from being on the pill.

Michelle answers:

WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD HAVE SEX WITH YOU, EWWWWWWWWWWWW YOU ARE THE UGLIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.

David asks…

Should I be worried? Should I get a pregnancy test?

Ok so I was put on the pill reclepsin and I was told to do the quick start option so I knew my period would be a week later than natural. So I’m on my 3rd inactive pill and no period. I discharged white substance out of my vagina which is a sign that my period was coming before I was on the pill. I’m just worried I won’t get my period and that im preggo because I had unprotected sex with my bf on he 9th day of taking the pill. I read in then panflit that ur suppose to wait 7 days b4 having unprotected sex. I’m just worried and I’m stressing about it!!! I’m 21 btw and I dont have any signs of pregnancy.

Michelle answers:

If you buy a cheap pregnancy test it will put all of your worries and stress to rest. Remember, there’s always a chance of getting pregnant even if you take the pill correctly.

Donald asks…

Advice should I be worried? When should I buy a pregnancy test?

Michelle answers:

There are a few reasons why your period might be late. First of all you are on a new pill it seems, and that can mess with your cycle. Secondly it could have something to do with your eating habits, or possibly the weather, given the sudden heat. However when you switch pills it is best to wait a month before having unprotected sex so your body is used to the new pill. I know that my own period is late sometimes and I panic but it always comes. If it doesn’t come the week it should at all I’d buy a test after that.

Mary asks…

I was diagnosed with pcos when I was sixteen then I pretty much new my chances of having children were over ?

At 27 after millions of negative pregnancy test I had given up ….my fiance and I have not usedo birth control and decided if we couldnt on our own we would try fertility (after marriage)…after many heartaches and negative pregnancy test…because I havent gotten my mentration cycle since my early twenties I assumed I wasnt ovulating. After research on pcos and pregnancy I had given up on trying natural pregnancy. Then I got my mentral cycle around labor day and a few months too follow then nothing in december or jan but pms symptoms….that continued til now tender breasts very sore even too the softest touch….then my moods were outta this world hot and cold mean nice rude not myself …..then one night worried bout my symptoms I decided too take another test ….once again negative ….at this point I had given up completly and of felt it was ruining our relationship cause now im in love and he wants nothing more than a family …..that I cant give without drugs and drs …..now of just have given up all hope in ever being able too have a kid ….I cried and swore against parenthood and families claiming unfairness …..specially since I found out as a teenager I already assumed that my nieces and nephews would be the only children in my life….but when in doubt…I was laying in bed with my fiance and he brushed against my breasts and I screamed in agony….he said they still hurts seems like its been months…so I gave myself a breast exam and was scared cause they were rock hard automatically think the worst …..so I went too my mother had her feel em and they were so tender….she suggested one more test so I bought the most expensive two pack and both positive im pregnant…..but now im terrified I wont be able too carry and I have no idea how long ive been pregnant for ive never had a regular period ….I wanna know what too do too make sure I carry fully term healthy baby I cant handle another negative! This mayes be our only chance at a family!!

Michelle answers:

PCOS women can get pregnant. It is just staying pregnant is the hard part. So you MUST work with a doctor if you are trying to conceive. It’s pretty much the standard for women once they do conceive as it is.

If the womb is not strong and healthy or any aspect of the body was not properly prepared for for baby the body will naturally take care of that in the kindest way possible.

So you need to be working toward making your body ready and healthy to host a pregnancy. For now a doctor can give you progesterone to help you keep the possible child and tips to stay healthy.

Your Questions About The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Daniel asks…

Acne problems help please?

I’ve had acne since i was about 11 and as i got older i realized i have acne prone skin (its on my back and chest too), i’m 19 now and i have tried everything. I went to a doctor but all she does is make my buy the same stuff over n over again with no results and irritating skin an its costing my father money so i stopped going. I started using over the counter products they worked to some extent but it really irritates my skin so i’m starting to think a natural way is the way to go and also treating it from the inside (i’m on birth control, it was recommended to someone who recommended it to the person who recommended it to me, i started taking it to prevent pregnancy but i thought why not kill tow birds with one stone). I know the natural remedy takes a longer time but i’m willing to wait if it means having healthy skin without harsh chemicals. So my question is what would you say is the best home remedy? please don’t give me a bunch of them cause i cant try all of them, just tell me which one is the best. I am so tired of living with this, i’m a very confident person and this is really messing with my self esteem, i don’t wanna have acne as an adult.

Thanks much šŸ™‚

Michelle answers:

Here’s a simple yet one of my favorites DIY facial mask, have done this as a gift to my brother who has suffered acne since puberty:

* Crush 6-12 non-coated aspirin in a bowl. Aspirin has Salicylic acid, that exfoliates and helps clear up (acne) break-outs.
Then add 1-2 teaspoons of an acid like lemon juice to make a paste. Lemon juice has a pH around 2.8. Leave this mask on the skin for 5-15 minutes. This mask might sting any open areas of skin like cuts or open pimples on the face.

Follow with applying the neutralizer– 2 teaspoons of baking soda!

Your skin will love you — and you may also have a surprisingly fresh scent to go along with your clearer skin!

Michelle answers:

Currently, I have a daughter that will be 3 in July, one that is about to turn 15 months & I’m almost 6 months pregnant with our 3rd daughter. The 1st trimester was rough bc of the fatigue, it was difficult to keep up with the kiddos & housework but my 2nd trimester was super easy. My daughters are great & pretty much understand that sometimes we have to have a lazy day bc mommy’s not up to do too much. My husband has helped as much as he can (he works nights & 60+ hours a week). I’m glad I’ll have my kiddos so close in age, by the time I have my 3rd, I’ll have 3 under 3 but I think it’ll be beneficial in the long run.

Donald asks…

I’m 14 and hate my boobs! I NEED implants?!?

I’m 14, 4’10, 87 pounds, 32A and look like I’m 10 years old. Having non-existent boobs makes me feel so ugly and unsecure. I mean, guys have MOOBS bigger than me, that’s rediculous.

My mom is DD and says anyone under C needs to invest in a boob job. She says that about her friends, model, anyone and everyone. I’m pretty sure I’m not growing, ive already been menstating for a year.

How bad Is plastic surgery? My mom has had 2 nose jobs, liposuction on her but and thighs(thighs got smaller and but bigger), and tummy tuck. (her boobs are real, they were B before pregnancy but since she got the fat sucked out and took pills to lose weight she kept her DD’s). So I’m guessing it’s not that bad. I also have had anestesia for a 5 hour non-cosmetic surgery and it wasn’t bad.

Do you think my mom would say yes? My mom once told me a story about this girl whos parents got her a nose job when they were in highschool, and she looked great after and if her daughter ever hated her nose that bad she’d get her one.

I don’t really want one, and wish it was natural. But I’m not that lucky so what advice do you have? Should I wait or ask for it at 16?

Michelle answers:

You are only 14…. You grow until early adult hood! Give it time. Don’t get a boob job because your mom has a self esteem issues. Plus you have to get them redone every 5 yrs or something. When you have kids your breast will get bigger as well. You are only 14, I started my period around 13 as well and my boobs grew! Your mom is teaching you to hate the way you are made and that’s not fair for her to do that to you.

Sandra asks…

Why am I having this nausea for so long and can’t get rid of it?

First of all, I am 19 years old and I’ve been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I was 16-17 when I got this diagnosis and the only tests I took were some physical exams, the doctors only touching/pressing on my abdomen. (I am not a woman. Just to exclude the possibility of pregnancy)

Ok, so about 3 years with stool being hard to pass out. A few nausea here and there but they quickly passed. I started to accept the constipation and my quality of life was getting better and better… Now, even though I still have this constipation that doesn’t wants to leave me at all costs, after getting this 7h/day job, I’ve been developing that nausea symptom. I quitted that job after 3 months of working mostly everyday (with a very few days free), staying on foot and watching a store to prevent theft.

It’s almost everyday, sometimes it’s easy on me, sometimes is really struggling to get food I’ve eaten out. I’ve also developed an emetophobia since I was like 12-13 y.o., and since then, I always try to suppress nausea so that it doesn’t get to its next “stage”. I even hate thinking about that word, not just writing it down.

I’ve had a quick endoscopy a week ago, but the doc didn’t found anything; said it’s even better than he expected. He prescribed me 2 sets of medications that are to be taken every 2 weeks. 2 weeks of Controloc (Pantoprazole) Motilium (Domperidonum) and Duspatalin (anti spastic for IBS based on Mebeverine). The other is based on Controloc, Duspatalin, Bilichol (natural, for the liver) and Debridat (Trimebutine).

The symptoms don’t seem to get better, sometimes even worsen. So, any idea what could the causes actually? I’ve been tested for parasites too, no sign of any.

Thank you!
Domperidone is not banned here. I don’t live in the US.

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Sandra asks…

Share your pregnancy and birth experience.?

Heres mine…

I missed my period

fainted lines on test

positive result on digital test

HD confirmed pregnancy

started bleeding

went to ER and docs did a regular ultrasound found the yolk sac and told me I was high risk.. then sent me home.

Bled more… went to a different ER and had a vaginal ultrasound done. found the baby and heart beat. was told that the blood was in my ovaries like a period and that my hormones just hadn’t taken over and that everything was going to be ok.

finally stopped bleeding a few weeks later….

NEVER went to a doc till I was about 19 weeks

Found a doc and she sucked so didn’t keep her… she was rude!! and did nothing for me.

NEW DOC… well, they didn’t take medicaid… so I left them.

and another doc!! and he was the best doc I could ever have. he was my doc only for a few weeks šŸ™

I quit smoking cold turkey SEPTEMBER 15. I took a bath SEPTEMBER 18-20 something.. somewhere between and discovered something odd… water coming out of me. I went to the hospital and they said it was just water from the tub… but then told me I had to stay due to HIGH blood pressure and sudden preeclampsia. I was at the one hospital for about 2-3 days and finally MY DOC sent me hours away to a better hospital where premature babies are delivered.

I couldn’t handle the pain they were putting me through and so it stressed me so bad babys heart rate was going up and so they tried to dialate me at 33 weeks 4 days… it didn’t work…

the next morning my son was delivered by c-section.

he was 3 pounds 13 oz and i think 15 inches long

he had no problems and needed no oxygen. he was in NICU for almost 2 weeks.

he is now 10 pounds 2 oz and 22 inches long!!

I don’t know if quitting cold turkey had anything to do with the preeclampisa. I do know a week before I was put in the hospital and before I was swollen I drank and whole bottle of sour head liquid candy. seems after that was when I started swelling.

I had fluids on my lungs when I was in the hospital and was having so many problems the docs were thinking I was dying and ran all kinds of tests. was having heart problems… trouble breathing when I’d lay on my back… felt like pressure from the baby was weighing on my chest. It was a horrible experience. After I was out of the hospital I went home ONE night and the other nights I stayed at the RONALD MCDONAL house so I could see my baby every day and take him milk. I didn’t get much of a break. lol

Oh yeah. another thing. My sister in law was 29 weeks pregnant and she had her baby on the same day as I had mine… september 25. that day is also my step fathers birthday. she had her baby natural early because she had a bad gas blockage… gas? yup…. gas pretty much pushed the baby out…. the end.

now share yours šŸ˜€

He’s no longer gettin breast milk though!! he drinks about 4 oz every 2-4 hours.

I guess I can go with my second birth .
Found out on christmas we was expecting.
At 6 months had a seziure. No idea why.
41 weeks, and no baby, It was hot and sticky, LABOR DAY weekend, and had my doc app. Was having pain, but hell I was so huge everything felt painful.
Ob went to check me, and my water broke all over him!
Went straight to the hospital and I was 6 cm, and contractions were 2 mins apart.
Got epidural, and the nurse rushes in, and tells me to lay on my side,
after 3 times of askin her why, she tells me the babys heart beat is droppin fast. Then wants to check me real quick, and the look on her face was mounmental, lol
Her only words were Oh shit! And runs out. Then my ob comes in with scrubs , cuz he was about to do a c-section for anthor patient. (there were 10 pple having babies that night) He checks me, rips off his scrubs , and tells me to push, I was like What????
He said your baby is half way out, Just push!
I just got numbed so i coudnt tell me i was pushing or not.
Needless to say 5 mins later, she was born, and beautiful!
All within a 3 hour span.
Well thought I would share!

Donna asks…

Has anyone else had this and went on to have a healthy pregnancy?

I have just suffered my 3rd m/c this year a few weeks ago:

– 1st was in April at 5wks, natural m/c – blighted ovumn
– 2nd was in July (fell pregnant straight away after 1st m/c), this was
a missed m/c at 12wks, fetus only measured 8wks and no longer a
h/b.
– 3rd was a couple of weeks ago, got pregnant agin about 1 month
after d&c, started bleeding 5days after positive tests, chemical
pregnancy confirmed by bloods and u/s, natural m/c

Im trying to tell myself that its happened because i got pregnant so soon after each m/c but im so scared of never having a child of my own. I am 26 and the thought of this is unbearable at the minute. I had blood tests done there almost 2wks ago, have only got 2 results back so far, one for bloodclotting and one for antibodies, both were normal, still awaiting another 4 or 5 results.

I did find out after the d&c that my blood group is rh- so i had to receive a rhaogram shot, they never mentioned any of this to me after the 1st m/c

Michelle answers:

My aunt went through the same thing as you only she lost 9 children but went on to have 2 beautiful boys, they have grown up lovely and healthy.

Don’t worry yourself too much honey the time will come.

Julius C – why don’t you ask a Q and see the nice answers you get. I can’t believe someone would be so vicious

Michelle answers:

You should wait at least a year before you try and get pregnant again to lessen the chances of another miscarriage.
You don’t want to go through all of that heart ache again.

Yes they did test it but never said if there was any reasoning with it. I did find out after the d&c that my blood group is rh- so i had to receive a rhaogram shot, they never mentioned any of this to me after the 1st m/c

Michelle answers:

I havent been in your exact position. But I did have one miscarriage at about 12/13 weeks and the baby was measured around 8-9 weeks. The doctor told me that I would be very fertile for the next 3mths. I didn’t have a D&C- it all came out after the internal u/s. I did take a piece of the tissue to the doctor so they could send it to the lab and test it to see if there was any major reason for the m/c. Do you know if after the D&C if they took any of the tissue and tested that, are did they only do blood work on you. I hope everything works out for you, best of luck sweetie.
