What is the best travel itenerary for visiting New Zealand with only two weeks?
Basically I have some vacation time in December/January. My plan is to go visit New Zealand on the 23rd of December. I will only have two weeks there. I was wondering what places I should see, what I should definently do while I’m there, and if I should spend the majority of my time on North Island or South Island?
Michelle answers:
You are going during school holidays and the busy time of year for tourists so book what you can ahead. My plan would be Hire a car from Auckland airport drive straight out of Auckland to Lake taupo and.Waitomo Caves, Rotorua if thats your thing Rotorua is touristy but personally it’s not my thing. Then straight on down to wellington drop the car off go in the cable car for views of the city . Get the ferry to Picton.$65 about if you don’t take a car and 3 hour trip. Pick another car up in Picton. Drive to Nelson but head out to the right hand side and over the hills via Queen Charlotte sounds. Then through Nelson through Motueka and out to Kaiteriteri Beach and the Able Tasman National park then drive down the west Coast ithrough Fox Glacier franze Joseph and only if you have time to Queenstown drop the car off in either Queenstown or Christchurch and fly out. You can get a campervan instead or stay in Motels.

Benefits of reading to your baby during pregnancy?
I am 23 weeks pregnant and my mom said the baby can hear now. She told me I should be reading to the baby. What are the benefits?
Michelle answers:
I highly recommend picking up Reading Magic by Mem Fox. You can get a used copy for 2.50 on amazon.com and its a very quick read. It goes into details about how important reading to children is, from pregnancy into teens. I read it for a childrens literature class and was very impressed. I even kept it for future refrence when I have children instead of selling it back like I do with most school books.

More and More I find Fox News reporting things that are not true?
My husband has to watch Fox News after the national nightly news. The show is filled with all the bells and whistles and I tolerate it, because I like Shepard Smith. But, while my husband is sleeping I gather most of the news from more valid sites on the internet. And, they often tell a different story than I heard listening to their news that night. So, I’m beginning to think that Fox either doesn’t report the news right or chooses not to.
How do others feel about this ?
Michelle answers:
Good for you. Keep it up.
You were right to guess that Fox chooses NOT to report the news straight. They are on a mission, and their goal is to sell you a political philosophy, not give you the news. In fact, if somebody on Fox says something, believe the opposite. Shep Smith is OK but the rest are frauds.
The only goal of news should be to inform. Fox’s political philosophy appeals to people who find the news on other networks hard to understand. They need simple answers. They like to watch people yell at each other. Fox shows are popular, but, fortunately, really not as popular as you might think. About 3 million to 3.5 million people watch Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck every night, but about 6 million watch the CBS Evening News, 8 million watch ABC’s World News, and about 9 to 9.5 million watch the news on NBC with Brian Williams.
The most consistently popular websites for news are CNN at 32 (27 million unique visits) and The New York Times at 50 (17 million).
For April 2010, the numbers changed a little, not much. The most popular News websites were, in order:
1. CNN (approx. 48 million.)
2. MSNBC
3. New York Times
4. Huffington Post
5. Fox News (approx. 23.5 million)
6. Washington Post (22 million)
7. Los Angeles Times
8. Reuters
9. ABC News
10. USA Today
I know this is more information than you asked for, but I hope it helped you.

Why do Liberals claim McCain saw 22 years of Romney’s tax returns, and decided Sarah Palin was a better choice?
I watch Fox News every single day, and have not once heard of these claims.
Why do Liberals continue to lie and display their Socialist hatred for America?
Michelle answers:
Why do we make that claim? Because it’s the truth…actually it was 23 years worth of taxes. And Mitt’s father released 12 years worth when he ran for president because he said a candidate could manipulate one or two years worth so he was going to release many more. Poor Mitt. Like George W, he’ll never match up to his dad.
