Your Questions About Oldest Age For Natural Pregnancy

George asks…

Is it normal to feel broody at a young age?

Ever since I hit puberty at the age of 9 or 10, I’ve wanted a baby so much! When my little cousins were born I was about 11 years old, and I looked after them all day – feeding them, changing their nappies, getting them dressed, putting them to bed and even waking up in the middle of the night to stop them crying. I LOVED IT! Everything about caring for them felt so natural; it was like I almost instinctively knew what to do. At the age of 13, I began babysitting for children of all ages, which I enjoyed so much I didn’t even care about the money. Now I’m nearly 17 and whenever I see a baby I just want to pick them up and look after them – the only way I can really describe it is like a “mothering” instinct. Even at this age now I feel I could be a fantastic mum! But all my friends think I’m mad… don’t get me wrong, they all LIKE kids and want to have them at some point in their lives, but none of them are anywhere near as broody as I am. So, my question is: Is it normal to start feeling broody at this age???

P.S: This is NOT a debate about teenage pregnancy. Despite feeling broody and loving babies, I have no intention of having children until I am AT LEAST in my late twenties, and married with a good job and a nice house. I fully understand how hard it is being a parent and I’m not going to tie myself down before I’ve had a chance to live my own life first. So please don’t lecture me about the hardships/responsibility of parenthood or the stupidity of teenage mums – just stick to what the question is actually asking. Thanks šŸ™‚

Michelle answers:

Well… Feeling broody at 9 or 10 years old is pretty young, but it’s not unheard of. When you enter puberty all those chemicals are released into your bloodstream which could make you feel hormonal. Fourtunately, it sounds like your mature enough not to act on those maternal impulses!

Joseph asks…

What age do you think is too old to start trying to conceive?

I am approaching my 25th birthday. I am starting to feel the need to start my family but I know now is not the time financially speaking. I’m nervous about infertility as well as what age my ability to get pregnant with a healthy child will begin to decline. I know I am still young, but I have had bad anxiety all my life, so that probably has a lot to do with me feeling panicy. But I’m also nervous because I have had somewhat irregular periods since I started getting them as a preteen and I have had periods as short as 2 days before. I am just afraid that when the time comes and I am ready, I will have trouble getting pregnant or won’t be able to. I am extremely maternal and am known for “stealing” people’s kids since I have such a natural connection with children. I have helped my husband raise his child who was conceived in an accidental pregnancy just after high school. My worst nightmare would be to never have children of my own and now that I have reached an age where having them is crossing my mind, I’m just feeling worried I’ll run out of time. Did anyone have their first child in their late 20’s or early thirties?
Rocker Wife- honey, you misunderstood what I was asking. I wasn’t asking if any women have ever had babies at that age, I was asking if anyone answering this question has. You’re ranting and negative comments make you look ignorant and nasty, so don’t bother trying to answer a question if you don’t even understand what is being asked.

Michelle answers:

Hi,
I totally understand your fears. I can only offer you some advice from my own experience.

I always had pretty regular cycles, usually about 30 days long. Then suddenly, when I was 26, they became very erratic, usually only lasting 21-24 days but sometimes as long as 29 days. I didn’t think too much of it until I started TTC about a year later (after getting the all clear from my annual exam, which you should do before TTC). After a year of TTC, I had a pregnancy which ended very early (5 weeks), so I started asking questions and eventually I started seeing a reproductive endocrinologist (a souped-up OB) and they never did figure out why I couldn’t conceive but I did discover (after temperature charting) that I have a short luteal phase (too few days between ovulation and menstruation), which was backed up by post ovulation blood tests, which revealed that I had low progesterone levels, resulting in my period arriving too soon.)

It took another year before I fell pregnant again, by then I was 29. I had 5 courses of fertility treatment, was injecting myself daily with hormones and was also on a progesterone supplement for 3 months (I believe). They never did figure out what was wrong but they think maybe I have PCOS (wikipedia will offer a better explanation than I can), even though I did not present with any of the usual symptoms (overweight, pre-diabetic, hirsutism, etc)

This is an incredibly common condition, I believe it may even be the number one cause of female infertility. If you are having any of the symptoms, you may want to have an OB check you out just for peace of mind. In the mean time, I would recommend doing temperature charting to determine whether you are ovulating and having normal cycles. This is a good, free site for that. Www.fertilityfriend.com and this is a very good book to read, even if you are not experiencing fertility problems, as it explains female reproduction in very understandable terms. Http://www.amazon.com/Taking-Charge-Your-Fertility-Anniversary/dp/0060881909/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1287678516&sr=8-1-catcorr

On the days you have the short periods (2 days long), are you also having short cycles? I am wondering if the 2 day bleeds are when you are ovulating, as this can sometimes cause bleeding as well.

I think the bottom line is that most women can get pregnant until they are 35 but women who start early have much higher rates of success.

Rocker wife- judge much? I am really surprised at her answer, as she is often helpful in her responses.

Best of luck!!

Nancy asks…

Does your Mother-In-Law interfere during your pregnancy?

My nightmarish Mother In Law has reared her very ugly head again this week…

We didn’t speak for quite some time after she tried her absolute best to ruin my wedding. About six months ago, my husband made peace with her, and I said I would respect his feelings and get along for his sake. She has been pleasant and friendly since then. Now it seems like it was all a bit of an act, and she is slowly slipping back to her old ways!

The obsessive, manipulative, interfering, meddling, nasty and bitter mother-in-law of old is back!

I am currently pregnant, and she is starting to poke her nose in where it is most certainly not wanted. Her subject of choice today is the birthing hospital I have chosen to have my baby in.

They are an active birth hospital and they offer lots of different ways to birth and alternatives to managing pain. You can have a c section or a natural birth, an epidural, gas and air or an alternative form of pain relief like laboring in and/or birthing in water. I haven’t made any decisions as I want to look into all my options first, but I like the freedom of choice the hospital offers. She says that it is is ‘a load of new age, hippie nonsense’ ! She had her children at home and she just pushed them out laying on the bed, none of this rubbish!

The best part was when she told me she has been thinking about it, and she has decided she doesn’t want to be there with us at the birth. If I recall, I didn’t actually invite her to be there, but that didn’t seem to matter!

Anyone else got a nightmare mother-in-law to make me feel a bit better?!

Michelle answers:

I feel your pain!
I am 39 weeks pregnant and my MIL had poked her nose in since she found out at 6 weeks!
Her last thing was that she was coming down to stay with us 3 weeks before the birth so she didn’t miss it. I also don’t remember ever asking her to attend!
Now after finding out today I may need a c-section on Sunday my husband called her to tell her (I could have killed him) she is on her way down!
I have no advice on how to handle it just wanted to let you know I too have a MONSTER IN LAW!!
Good luck

Lisa asks…

fert.dr question, also ivf/clomid?

was just wondering, if anyone else (like me) has fertility problems and cant get preg. the NATURAL way. was wondering if anyone went to their fertilty dr and what you and your hubby decided to get done. (ivf, clomid, frozen embryo) what worked. what didnt work for you. how long it took u to get preg. about how much (ball park figure) does clomid, ivf, frozen embryo all that stuff cost about? if you succeeded or not. just want storys/ideas bc my hubby and i are thinkin bout goin to the dr after the new year since cant get preg naturaly. 10 points for best answer. would be greatly appreciated to read/to know that i am not the only one who hasnt experienced/would be experiencing something like this.
thanks 26 weeks and xx for all you help so far….@ 26 weeks what questions should i be prepared to ask the dr whenenver we do go? i dont want to go in clueless (the only few i have so far are what is the success rate of women gettin preg. on 1st try? how much cost/insurance cover, what symptoms can i be expecting with 9whatever procedure i get done). wasnt sure what other questions to ask. thank you again 26 for your help and success story.

Michelle answers:

I will tell you our personal experience.

I had trouble concieving naturally for 2 years. We saw our OBGYN first and he started several rounds of Clomid after he did an extensive work up. He check my tubes as well. After the Clomid failure he referred (you may not need a referral to see fertility specialist depending on your insurance) me to a fertility specialist.

We went to our first appt with the specialist which was basically just a consultation of our options. We decided to go straight into IVF since our insurance covered it. The first IVF cycle failed. The embryos were not of good quality in the first place so I kind of figured it would not work. We did one more cycle and this time they waited a couple of extra days for the follicles to mature the eggs a bit longer and viola, I had 3 quality embryos. We transferred 3 and ended up getting pregnant with 2. I am now 28 weeks pregnant with twins boys.

As far as cost it really depends on the clinic. Our insurance covered every bit of but looking back at the statements I think it was like over $10,000 dollar for one cycle. But many states have grants to help and also some clinics, like the one we went to, have financing with a down payment. I’m not sure about the cost of frozen embryos.

IVF can be an emotional rollercoaster, but then again you as well as I know that getting pregnant in generally can place a toll on on oneself. You will be giving yourself injections filled with horomones to help stimulate your ovaries and to prevent ovulation, because the doctor will extract the eggs from you and fertilize them in a lab. You will be monitored for the growth of your follicles using ultrasounds. Its really not about the quantity of eggs you produce by the quality. I can’t stress that enough because I great like 23 eggs during the first round and out of those 23 only 7 fertilized. After that none of them were really viable but they used them anyway. The second time I ended up with 8 eggs and 5 were excellent quality. I had 4 make it to blast stage. We now have two frozen but are pregnant with twins.

Good luck, and you can message here if you have any more questions. Baby dust to you!!

Mary asks…

Is having sex these days like playing russian roulette?

There is a danger even if you are in a monogamous relationship with someone and believe that person to be faithful. But every time you are having sex without a condom on you are trusting that person with your life, isn’t it? A lot of suburban soccer moms I know fool around and what surprises me is that they are just so natural about it. Then again, who knows what the husbands do too after work. With all the deadly diseases around why are people still having sex without condoms on and how can we be absolutely sure the person we are having sex is not sleeping with someone else? Condoms are no gurantees but only available options and they can fail too. So how can we protect ourselves ?

No sex is not an option as you want to make babies and IVF costs thousands.

Mark asks…

how to deal with bloating and gas during pregnancy?

my stomach gets so upset after I eat anything.. it feels like im full of gas that I just can’t pass.. any natural remedies for this??

Michelle answers:

I have had severe gas my entire pregnancy, and Maximum Strength Gas X has been what I live by. It’s just Mylicon for adults. It’s not natural in the earthy sense, but neither is being bloated. U also may wanna switch to Lactaid or Soy Milk, to help. I know the Lactaid Fat free milk did wonders on me. It’s definitely worth a try. Tums is great for heartburn, but doesn’t do much for gassiness. I wish u the best, cuz I know how u feel.

Maria asks…

Medication safe to take during pregnancy?

That gets rid of sinus drainage? Anything at all? All I’m taking now is Robitussin as a cough suppressant. But it isn’t really good for anything else.

I know I can call and ask my doctor, but I’m losing my voice,so it really hurts to talk. Also,if anyone has a natural remedy for a sore throat. That would be appreciated too.

Michelle answers:

Just like a dirty cup, you have to flush the ugly away. Salt water–Inhale as much as you can (tbsp) tip your head back, (water will make you cough, blow nose. If necessary, try it again.

About 20 years ago, at a prenatal clinic, we would allow sudafed–the red one with no extras.

The sudafed is only okay if you’re post-first trimester.

Feel better!

Daniel asks…

Complete loss of sex drive after pregnancy, 5 1/2 months??

My son is now 5 1/2 months old and I have absolutely no sex drive!!! Has anyone every experienced this? Any natural remedies? I don’t really want to see a doctor until I can see if there is anything I can do to get my sex drive back. Thanks!

Michelle answers:

Yes – completely normal. Don’t worry. Just make sure that that you know that there isn’t a physical problem. If you’re breastfeeding, there are chemicals which are released into your body which subdue your sex-drive-you’ll get back to normal when you wean. If you’ve still got the littl’un in the room with you, he/she’s just going to distract you. Even if your baby is in the next room, it’s normal to feel that your concentration is focused on that door, rather than on the bloke next to you. Make sure your hubby knows it’s nothing personal! You could have thrush- this is a common side effect of pregnancy which not many people talk about. Before you get itchy symptoms you could experience a low sex-drive. Pregnancy hormones increase the chance of getting thrush (candida albicans), which can be treated with Canesten, or see your GP. Not having a sex -drive immediately after birth is one of nature’s ways of protecting your body – (that is, stopping you getting pregnant again until your body is back to normal!)

Your Questions About Natural Remedies Pregnancy

Daniel asks…

Any natural remedies for pregnancy constipation?

I am 2 and a half months pregnant and suffer from constipation now and then. I was wondering if there were any natural ways to relieve constipation???

Michelle answers:

Drink milk that helped me but

• Eat high-fiber foods such as cereals, whole-grain breads, and fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Add a couple of tablespoons of unprocessed wheat bran (available at health food stores) to your cereal in the morning and follow it with a glass of water.

• Drink plenty of water — at least six to eight glasses a day. A glass of fruit juice every day, especially prune juice, can also be helpful.

• Exercise regularly. Walking, swimming, riding on a stationary bike, and yoga can all help ease constipation and leave you feeling more fit and healthy.

• Listen to your body. Never put off going to the bathroom when you feel the urge.

• Ask your healthcare provider about taking an over-the-counter fiber supplement or switching to an iron supplement with less iron.

Helps to

Carol asks…

What are some natural remedies for constipation during pregnancy?

I’m 7 weeks and have REALLY bad stomach pains because I haven’t had a bm in like 4 days! I’m really miserable but don’t wanna take medicine. Wondering what I could take, somethin natural, or safe for the baby to help!

Michelle answers:

Okay, I have been there, done that.
1) Prunes.
2) Prune juice. Not as bad as I’d feared.
3) Increased fiber in diet. Split pea soup, double fiber bread, nuts (I like pecans), bananas (but they are constipating themselves), etc. Aim for 28 g. Per day.
4) Increased water.
5) Exercise. Walking should do it.
6) Benefiber. It’s a colorless, tasteless product you pour into drinks or food 3 times a day and it gives you a lot of fiber grams. (Totally safe in pregnancy.)
7) Stool softeners. These any OB will tell you to take. You take 2 every day.

Good luck! Mine got so bad I had to go the hard core pharmaceutical route … So stay on top of things!

Natural remedies for nauseau during pregnancy?

My little sister is pregnant with her first and is terribly sick. I remember using an aroma therapy necklace for my first pregnancy to get rid of the “ALL DAY” sickness. Michelle answers:

I’ve heard that Preggie pops are good and also Accupressure wrist bands

Psi Bands Ā®

Donna asks…

What vitamins supplements/natural remedies are dangerous during pregnancy?

I’m currently on HEAPS of vitamins such as zinc, vitamin c, a, c10 etc as well as a chinese medicine immune-boosting tonic, as am recovering from galndular fever and recurring viruses. I’m hoping to become pregnant soon, as was wondering which ones to keep and which ones to stop if i were to fall pregnant

Michelle answers:

Herbs are consider unsafe during pregnancy because not enough research has been done on them but there is no reason why you should stop them until you are pregnant. If you are able to stop the herbs, I would do so the month you start ttc.
I would just take a multivitamin like Centrum (or find one that has all the things it has in it). Centrum contains vitamins and minerals that our bodies need for fertility like selenium and copper. Don’t take the others (unless the C10 is actually CoQ10, that’s also great for fertility as well as your heart).

Vitamin A over 10,000 before pregnancy and over 6,000 during pregnancy is know to cause birth defects.
Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble meaning they are stored in your fat cells so it’s easy to have too much.
Other others are water soluble and eliminated by the body mostly through urine so they can be taken at higher dosage prior to pregnancy but not at pregnancy.
The only thing you should take during pregnancy is a prenatal vitamin and omega 3.

Here’s other things that boost fertility–

Coral calcium (helps increase cm but you have to take it with water. Water helps absorption)
PABA 300 mg
DHEA 75 mg (makes ovaries behave youthful again after 3 months of taking)
EPO and DHA (omega oils needed for fertility)
Arginine (increases circulation to ovaries and uterus)
Glutathione (an intracellular antioxidant found surrounding the egg before ovulation to protect the developing egg)
Manganese (known as the maternal mineral. Lack causes infertility)
Royal jelly (super food for cells)
Coenzyme Q10 (for heart and circulation)
Milk thistle and dandelonn (detox liver & improve toxic elimination in body)
Pycnogenol (super anti-oxident)
Alpha Lipoic acid (aids certain vitamins in body)
Green tea (anti-oxident)
Chlorophyll (balances insulin and feeds cells)
Taurine (fertility amino acid)
Acetyl L-Carnitine (amino like compound found in growing egg)
Grape seed (aids fertility)

And EVERYTHING that is found in the multi-vitamin called Centrum.

Eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids. Stay away from things that degrade the growing egg– sugar (even the sugar found in milk is toxic to developing follicle), white carbs, alcohol, caffine (it causes cortisol and inbalanced insulin levels), smoking, and any type of unnatural chemicals (natural meaning baking soda and vingar to clean) and fumes.

Your Questions About All Natural Pregnancy Products

James asks…

Using DEET in pregnancy? (Mozzy repellents when abroad)?

Hi all

Has anyone used DEET based products whilst pregnant whilst abroad? I need to use some repellent as I am travelling to a tropical climate and I am mozzie bait! The advice out there is varied.

I have Mosiguard which is a natural spray and usually serves me well however in the evening I usually use Bens 100 which is over 90% DEET.

Both are pump sprays so are not like when you spray an aerosol and breathe them in. But I have read mixed reviews about using DEET when pregnant. I’ll be using it from 11 weeks but would love to hear what other people have used and also what advice they were given?

I have an appointment with my GP and midwife so will be bringing it up then but would love to hear from others!

Also using sun lotion with in-built mozzie repellent? Should I be concerned?

I will of course try and cover up as much as possible, I am not due to be in malarial areas and do not need to take pills however it is a tropical place (Thailand)! Preventing the bites is also important rather than getting bitten by mozzies and other critters..

Please help!

Michelle answers:

Preventative measures in Thailand for mosquito bites:

– Keep a fan blowing on you as much as possible. Drives mosquitoes nuts and they won’t bite.
– Live as high up as you can go. The higher you are the fewer mosquitoes there will be.
– Get yourself a mosquito “tennis racket”. Thais use them a lot to swat mosquitoes, not play tennis. They electrocute the little buggers but are harmless to you. Available everywhere in Thailand. Good Thailand souvenir.
– Citronella works fine, but needs to be re-applied more often. DEET is probably the best, and you don’t need a solution stronger than 30%. You’ll have to do your homework about the risks.

I’ve lived in Thailand for 5 years, and haven’t heard of one case of malaria. Dengue fever is a slightly higher risk, but there’s no vaccination. Just prevention. A greater risk is from lack of hygiene. Bad-germ prevention is more important than mosquito bite prevention.

You don’t have to go nuts with the suncream. I use a UV umbrella when I’m outside, that is, an umbrella which has a sort of gray lining. Some umbrellas have that in Thailand, some don’t. No need to mix suncream and mosquito repellent. Suncream is mostly for the face, the other is mostly for the foot/ankle area if that’s exposed.

Betty asks…

What was/is the hardest part of pregnancy?

I’m not pregnant yet but my husband and I plan on trying soon and i’m started to get scared already. I’ve read about getting varicose veins and spider veins(which I already have some of) and other things like that.

Also the idea of the actual birth scares the hell out of me! Honestly, I know everyone’s experience is different, but how bad is it…with an epidural? I’m very petite and my sister in law always jokes that she doubts my body can even handle a natural birth and such I don’t know I’m just scared…probably sounds dumb. I know the end product makes it all worth it…but just looking for insight.

Thanks in advance

Michelle answers:

Waiting…
Still waiting on my first.

To be honest I am really zen about birth so far. I just prefer not to think about it. It also helps to have moms around you that hate negative stories and would rather tell you positive things.

Chris asks…

Does anything make stretch marks go away?

I’m convinced that my thighs and buttox are fat because I have these stretch marks that I got during pregnancy. I lost all of my weight but my legs just look so gross that I want to hide them in pants!

Now that it’s summer, I’m like… gee what do I do? Suffer in pants or just show off my hideous marks?

They started about a year ago. How long does it take for them to fade on their own? Some of them are turning white, but I can still see where the skin is a different texture.

Is there a product or a natural remedy that helps with this?

Michelle answers:

Your stretch marks appear if you rapidly lose the weight from your pregnancy. But don’t worry, your stretch marks should gradually become less noticeable. Here are a couple tips that will help you reduce the appearance:
-It helps to massage the stretch marks in a circular motion when you shower or take a bath so that it can stimulate circulation.

-Massage your stretch marks with cocoa butter and with vitamin E oil after you shower/bathe.

-Eat foods or drink juices that are very high in vitamin C and E.

-Soybean, brown rice, bell peppers, and other foods that are high in zinc help support fibers in your skin.

-Drink a lot of water. Your stretch marks may be turning white because you lack the right amount of water.

Hope this helps! Good luck

Hair Question At 7Weeks?

Hello everyone thank you for helping answer my question the best you can all answers are appreciated
I’m 7weeks and 2days pregnant,my hair is fading from a dye job I had done 2weeks ago,it was vegan dye and there was no harsh chemicals involved, well my hair is currently blue, purple, and black,i am rinsing the color out but I had planned to use a color remover to erase all color an be natural blonde again the product is called Colour B4 im curious if it could effect my pregnancy enough to hurt the baby,I will be asking my doctor and hair dresser next time I see them but I’m curious if any other moms have messed with their hair during pregnancy

Michelle answers:

You can use normal hair dye- it’s actually best to have a hair dresser do it with good ventilation.
It’s the fumes that are bad- not it actually being in your hair.

YES- your hair will start to do crazy things like change texture and become different- mine went to normal to oily then to super dry at 25 weeks. My hair color came out really fast the first month due to how greasy my hair was but it did slow up. Now my skin is driving me nuts!!

I really don’t know what they will do…and how long will it take to conceive if i go for a fertility doctor ? What are the ways and chances and kinds of treatment they will give for infertility ?

Pls give me ur valuable answers…me and my man really need a baby.
Clomid doesn’t works for me

Michelle answers:

I did not respond to smaller doses of clomid, it took 150 mg for me to start ovulating. One cycle on each is not enough determination on if it will work or not. My specialist had me on each level for three cycles. It was the second cycle of 150 that I conceived on. Don’t give up hope so soon. The fertility doctor may have a different approach from your regular doctor. They may do more cycles of clomid alone or may put you on a combination such as clomid and metiformin. They may run more tests to determine the cause of infertility.

As far as how long it will take you, that is not anything anyone here can truly answer. Each woman’s body is different and each pregnancy is different. It might take one month, it might take one year, or it might not ever happen. It is the sad reality that many couples face. Just try and take it day by day and week by week.

Good luck. I hope that everything works out.

Jenny asks…

What do you think of these comments by prospective adopters?

We suffer from infertility but were lucky to have had our son naturally (little miracle!)

I post on an infertility website on which many members have given up on fertility treatment and are “moving on” to adoption.

Some of the comments they have made make me feel really ill. I’ve read birth mothers being referred to as “chav b*tches” and how the APs want to change the child’s name “because that chavvy b*tch who gave birth to him chose it” and they want something “more middle class”.

One was bewailing the fact that her “stupid” Social Worker wouldn’t let her change the name of a 2 year old boy so that she could use “the name I dreamed of giving my own child if I’d ever had one – it breaks my heart that I’ll never use it!”.

They refer to birth mothers as “tummy mummies” (ie belitting) and talk about how they worry that this EVIL “TM” will one day come into THEIR child’s life and how they can prevent this.

And Heaven help us if a vulnerable mother sorts herself out and wins back custody of the child that these PAPs are fostering! The bile, hatred and fury they spew is unbeleivable (never any scrap of happiness that the child is going back to his natural family)! I have felt quite ill reading it.

And these are all people who have been approved for adoption! (I live in the UK). I know infertility hurts and can make you bitter but I find this upsetting.

I have no been through the adoption process myself, it was something I was considering perhaps we would do ourselves one day if our efforts to conceive #2 are unsuccessful, but after researching it I have become so totally disgusted by the whole thing that I have decided against it. Surely not all adoptive parents are like this? How do they get approved to adopt with attitudes like this? Is it because they have more money/stability than the families from which the child has been taken and are therefore seen as “more deserving”?

Surely these attitudes can’t be good for the child? I feel really disturbed by it all . . .
The other thing that worries me is that several of them admit they are lying to their social workers and having “sneaky” tries at IVF whilst waiting for adoption. They really want their own kids and are treating adoption as an “Oh well if the IVF fails its a last resort” kind of thing. Surely this is wrong. I think they are not good people.
One even said that she and her husb decided against a particular child because they thought his name was “horrid and chavvy” and the social worker wouldn’t let them change it. She said “There was no way in hell I would want to shout THAT in a playground” this was accompanied by lots of snobbish jokes about how “trashy, rough” people give their kids “horrible ” names . . .

Michelle answers:

I am both an adoptive parent and an adoptee. My husband & I adopted as our first choice – our children are not a ‘back-up’ option for us – never were.

That said, at our preparing to adopt courses, we were the only couple who had not undergone IVF, and the level of desperation to have a child at any cost was both sad &, just sometimes, alarming. I would agree that most of the PAPs I met were very middle class with large disposable incomes, but some obviously had thought through the process and had the ability to love a child they had not given birth too, one couple I felt had real issues – I would have to say that I felt Social Services could see that too.

We were definitely treated with suspicion by Social Services – after our initial appointment we were told we had to wait at least a year to see ‘if we were being serious and were committed’, purely because adoption was our first choice for parenting.

For the record, my children kept the names they were given by their birth mum (although my daughter wanted to change hers – and now she is 20, she introduces herself as a variable of her given name) but we discussed them having one of our family first names as a middle name, which they decided they would like. If they hadn’t wanted to that would’ve been fine too.

I don’t think the system is perfect by any means, I also think it is very prone to the vagaries of fashion and poor research but we don’t live in a perfect world, otherwise those children wouldn’t be seeking homes in the first place.

Maria asks…

Marijuana the cancer cure, why is it being kept from us?

Hemp Oil medication to cure a lot of pain full and devastating disease. Rick Simpson is a Pioneer in making this treatment available.

Rick Simpson Run from the Cure.

The process is considered illegal due to the content it contains Marijuana.

The whole process can be made at home as he claims, it is the T.H.C that is the ingredient that can cure loads of problems. This is a 100% natural cure, with no side effects unlike Pharmaceutical drugs that can cause damaging side effects like addiction, insomnia, etc etc.

It is not used because there is no profit in curing things like Cancer. every person who has a problem a profit is made not to cure but to keep the money flowing.

If Marijuana was so bad (as the Governments and health service claim) why are people aloud to be exposed to chemicals that are proved to be more harmful, we use in our everyday life from cleaning products at home to the food we eat.

What do you think, is it right to keep something that is natural and effective from the public?

I have had personal experience, i had to watch while my partner with cancer got worse while receiving treatment. He nearly died with it and the side effects where unbelievable scary and pain full.

Check it out on YouTube he has 7 Videos or go to Phoenixtears web page to see for your self (Don’t know how to make a LINK)

I got diagnosed with a condition which the NHS only offered the pill to ease my condition. PCOS is a condition which means i have cysts on my overies which leads to hormone imbalance, very intence pain, infertility, uncontroling moods and unable to control weight etc I suffered for years with no diagnosis, GPs passing me off as just having bad periods. It was the herbalist that gave me advise and lead to getting properly diagnosed.

I went a herbalist which the NHS staff frowned on, did not believe it would do anything. Her treatment is very effective it has changed my life, but i have to pay for this life changing medication. It won’t cure it as it is not curable but manages it greatly by using Herbs.

Hebalists do not get enough credit.
This is my question: What do you think, is it right to keep something that is natural and effective from the public?

If you read it and had a look at the web sites, you can not overdose. People are so brain washed by Pharmacitical companys.
If anyone is going to coment PLEASE have a look at the web sites before making a comment.

It is HEMP OIL which you only take a rice size amount. When you say overdose your link relates it to drink and it states the same effects as someone drinking too much.

This question is aimed for people who are suffering from cancer or other diseases, who have had bad experiance with NHS treatment
I watched my partner go through chemo and the effects that it had on him where frightening, in no relation to the effects of Marijuana. The report does suggest that THC from selected strains and processed to exract the hemp oil is effective to help the good cells and make the cancer cells dorment. Chemo is the oppisite and kills off all how is someone supposed to recover from that. When you see the effects of the treatment, when only a few months before he looked so normal. This possibility is appealing and hopefull.

I have health problems which have been handled by herbs from a herbalist where the NHS could not offer me anything what does that tell you about conventional medacine.

Michelle answers:

I think it is a great shame that people in this country can not reap the benefits of a natural and safe herb for pain management.

And although I think it should be legal to everyone to do as they wish, it at least needs to be legal for those who need it most.

From what I’ve learned, there was a big deal back in the 1930s (Harry J Anslinger?) and a bunch of anti-marijuana propaganda that’s still making it’s rounds today. It was made illegal on a stupid, unscientific basis anyway.

Charles asks…

why is weed illegal? its perfectly safe. FACTS PROVEN. read them.?

its not a sin? While The Bible doesn’t name it, it DOES say we are to put only natural things into our bodies and marijuana is a totally natural herb that until made illegal, was used by many cultures in many ways for it’s healing ability. (Smoked, drank as tea, used in cooking.) And those ancient people lived long, healthy lives.also,There is no convincing scientific evidence that marijuana causes psychological damage or mental illness in either teenagers or adults. Most people who smoke marijuana smoke it only occasionally. A small minority of Americans – less than 1 percent – smoke marijuana on a daily basis. An even smaller minority develop a dependence on marijuana. Some people who smoke marijuana heavily and frequently stop without difficulty. Others seek help from drug treatment professionals. Marijuana does not cause physical dependence. If people experience withdrawal symptoms at all, they are remarkably mild. if it was legal more people would be out of jail leaveing are prisons open for more deadly crimminals,Marijuana arrests in the United States doubled between 1991 and 1995. In 1995, more than one-half-million people were arrested for marijuana offenses. Eighty-six percent of them were arrested for marijuana possession. Tens of thousands of people are now in prison for marijuana offenses. An even greater number are punished with probation, fines, and civil sanctions, including having their property seized, their driver’s license revoked, and their employment terminated. Despite these civil and criminal sanctions, marijuana continues to be readily available and widely used.
Moderate smoking of marijuana appears to pose minimal danger to the lungs. Like tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke contains a number of irritants and carcinogens. But marijuana users typically smoke much less often than tobacco smokers, and over time, inhale much less smoke. As a result, the risk of serious lung damage should be lower in marijuana smokers. There have been no reports of lung cancer related solely to marijuana,MEDICAL:Marijuana has been shown to be effective in reducing the nausea induced by cancer chemotherapy, stimulating appetite in AIDS patients, and reducing intraocular pressure in people with glaucoma. There is also appreciable evidence that marijuana reduces muscle spasticity in patients with neurological disorders. GATE WAY DRUG?:Marijuana does not cause people to use hard drugs. What the gateway theory presents as a causal explanation is a statistic association between common and uncommon drugs, an association that changes over time as different drugs increase and decrease in prevalence. Marijuana is the most popular illegal drug in the United States today. Therefore, people who have used less popular drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and LSD, are likely to have also used marijuana. Most marijuana users never use any other illegal drug. Indeed, for the large majority of people, marijuana is a terminus rather than a gateway drug. causes crime? umm no, Every serious scholar and government commission examining the relationship between marijuana use and crime has reached the same conclusion: marijuana does not cause crime. The vast majority of marijuana users do not commit crimes other than the crime of possessing marijuana. Among marijuana users who do commit crimes, marijuana plays no causal role. Almost all human and animal studies show that marijuana decreases rather than increases aggression. INCREASED PREGNANCY?There is no evidence that marijuana causes infertility in men or women. In animal studies, high doses of THC diminish the production of some sex hormones and can impair reproduction. However, most studies of humans have found that marijuana has no impact of sex hormones. In those studies showing an impact, it is modest, temporary, and of no apparent consequence for reproduction. There is no scientific evidence that marijuana delays adolescent sexual development, has feminizing effect on males, or a masculinizing effect on females. CAR ACCIDENTS?:There is no compelling evidence that marijuana contributes substantially to traffic accidents and fatalities. At some doses, marijuana affects perception and psychomotor performances- changes which could impair driving ability. However, in driving studies, marijuana produces little or no car-handling impairment- consistently less than produced by low moderate doses of alcohol and many legal medications. In contrast to alcohol, which tends to increase risky driving practices, marijuana tends to make subjects more cautious. Surveys of fatally injured drivers show that when THC is detected in the blood, alcohol is almost always detected as well. For some individuals, marijuana may play a role in bad driving. The overall rate of highway accidents appears not to be significantly affected by marijuana’s widespread use in society. OVER DOSE: Marijuana does not cause serious health problems like those caused by tobacco or alcohol (e.g., strong addic

Because the US is already the fattest, the stupidest, and the most wasteful country. Even though everyone knows weed is perfectly safe, we’re all just afraid of looking bad and adding “stoners” to our list of negative stereotypes.

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Book

Mary asks…

Need name of natural parenting/mothering book.?

I seen a book online somewhere that is on natural parenting. It was written by a person that went and studied the parenting rituals of tribal countries. Places where technology hasn’t taken over the birthing and parenting skills. I think it talks about co-sleeping, breastfeeding, baby wearing and “natural” things like that. If anyone has any clue on any books like that I would really appreciate it. I am newly pregnant and want to do a more natural approach to pregnancy and parenting.

Michelle answers:

Iit sounds a lot like the Dr. Sears Baby book. I think it is called the Dr. Sears Baby Book: Everything you need to know from birth to age two. I really enjoyed this book. It covers everything you mentioned. Great great book. Congrats! And Good luck with everything!
Also don’t let people give you a hard tme about your parenting practices since some people have a weird eye at co-sleeping and lots of breastfeeding and stuff.

Nancy asks…

Does anyone know of any good pregnancy books?

I’m looking for a book to help me with all my questions and such I also want to do a natural birth.. if that helps lol so yeahh any suggestions would be great! thanks xx

Michelle answers:

What to Expect When Youre Expecting is a great book!! Also, a bok called From The Hips. For more week-by-week, go to http://www.webmd.com/baby/your-pregnancy-week-by-week-weeks-26-30

Jenny asks…

Has anyone read the book ” Taking Charge of your Fertility” by Toni Weschler?

I was just curious if anyone has used this book for a natural method of birth control, gender selection or to get pregnancy? If yes has it worked?
I would like to use it for natural birth control after I give birth.

Michelle answers:

Yes, yes, yes!!!! And I still reference it! I read it at the urging of my ob/gyn after my first apt. With her (I switched docs after not getting pregnant for two years and no answers) and she had a feeling I wasn’t ovulating. Sure enough after two months of taking my temp I could tell I wasn’t ovulating. After being given lowest dose of clomid to stimulate my ovaries, I could tell when I ovulated and when I was most fertile. The second month I got pregnant and now have a beautiful 4 year old girl. I have sucessfully used the same method to get pregnant twice more, unfortunately both ended in miscarriage. So its proven to work to try and concieve. Haven’t used it as a means for natural child birth though so wouldn’t know as far as that but seems logical given it worked for the opposite. Good luck and happy reading!!

Donna asks…

Is this natural in pregnancy?

I’m 9w2d pregnant, and my date for my midwife appt is 27th November, and my 1st scan is booked for the 10th December. However, as these dates get nearer and nearer, I’m scared in case I either lose the baby, or that the scan won’t show anything. I’m only 18, but I’m just so anxious.
I know the chances of the scan not finding anything at around 12 weeks is unlikely, but I’m anxious. My mum’s told me not to worry, but I can’t help it.
Did any of you feel like this? And what can I do to stop myself feeling like this?

Michelle answers:

By the time you’re 12 weeks, you’ll be able to see something šŸ™‚

My first scan was done internally (awkward), so the picture was better than if they did a regular ultrasound the first time. But still pretty little.

He was moving around EVERYwhere, and only about 2 inches long, so there was a lot of room.
I was scared about losing the baby, but as long as you stay healthy, you need to put that from your mind. It can happen to ANYone.
I’m only 19, and now I’m 34 weeks. It’s something every mother worries about, but the stress won’t help your baby, so think about all the good things you can do for him/her šŸ™‚

And by the way, enjoy this time right now….haha. Once you’re towards the end, everything hurts, everything’s uncomfortable and you will be ANXIOUS out of your mind. There’s nothing to stop that though, it’s all part of the process šŸ™‚

Your Questions About Natural Remedies In Pregnancy

Mary asks…

natural remedies for gallstones?

hi, well last week i was diagnosed with having gallstones, i get severe gallbladder attacks every singel day regardless of what i eat, my gallbladder if 3/4’s full, its not diet which has caused it apparently its because i’ve been a user of the pill on and off for years and have had 5 pregnancies, anyway they have said i have to have my gallbladder removed, so i researched what other options there are, and came across these “natural therapies”, one by someone called “Dr Charlie” which is some pills you take apparenty it helps the gallbladder flush out the stones, and another that involves large doses of olive oil and lemon juice…. has anyone tried any of these remedies? personally i think they sound a bit dodgy… what if a stone were to get stuck in the duct? it could perforate and you could be in a critical position… wouldnt the oil and the lemon juice cause pain anyway? its supposed to get the gallbladder pumping out all those stones… imagine the pain…
so my question is has anyone ever tried one of these remedies? and did it work? if so how do u know it worked? did you go back and have another scan and get told your gallstones had gone? according to an article i read, someone tried the olive oil and lemon juice one and got the so called stones tested and it was discovered they were just hardened olive oil and the olive oil had gone hard like stones as a result of the lemon juice….
thought i’d add this link which says about the olive oil and lemon juice bit not working and when tests were conducted it proved to be just hardened olive oil… and only one case has been proven to actually work with that remedy….

Dr Frank, thank you for answering! you have said exactly what my own dr said to me he said they can be dangerous and the best thing is either medicine to disolve them if they are of the disolvable kind! or surgery and that it!…

Michelle answers:

Quick answer, number of effective natural remedies that cure gallstones, none.

I am sure you would appreciate a second opinion, so here is my second opinion, still none.

Sharon asks…

34 weeks pregnant got hayfever, feeling really horrible :(?

I’ve hardly slept a wink because of my blocked nose, itchy eyes and throat. I’ve checking everything that i can take and it all says do not take during pregnancy. Is there any natural remedies that i can take or do i have to just tough it out. Its getting me really down, im such a moany cow because im so irritated šŸ™

Thanx in advance

Michelle answers:

You can take Claritan, Sudafed and Benadryl. I used all 3 during my last pregnancy. In my last week of pregnancy I got a sinus infection. I was so desperate I got Afrin and used it a few times. (Behind my doctor’s back. Afrin is not listed as a safe drug during pregnancy and the only reason I did it was because I was in my last week and was beyond desperate for relief…) My baby is is perfectly fine.

Ask your doctor first though of course.

Paul asks…

Medication for colds and flu during early pregnancy..?

Does anyone know of any natural (and effective) cold and flu remedies that can be safely taken in early pregnancy? My boss is 10 weeks pregnant and has a history of miscarriages so is especially cautious as to what she can take. She’s got a terrible chest infection at the moment and hasn’t stopped coughing all day.

Her GP and Chemist can only recommend paracetomol which isn’t even beginning to help.

Can anyone recommend any really good natural remedies that she can take safely?

Michelle answers:

You can try hot Honey and Lemon. Add a few lemon slices and a tea spoon of honey to hot water.

The Lemon is an antiseptic and the honey will help the throat. The vitamin C in the lemon will also booster the immunue system.

Also try to avoid drinks containing caffine, and food/drinks such as milk or chocolate that may stick to the throat and irritate it.

However apart from this, i would follow the advice of the pharamist.

Betty asks…

to prevent unwanted pregnancy?

to prevent unwanted pregnancy without resorting to any remedies be it natural like teas or medicine whatsoever. just follow the rhythm method to a t. or if your ovulating and u and ur partner do this dangerous time ., right after contact run fast to the bathroom, wash the private part immediately inside out with a solution of lukewarm water, 1 teaspoon of vineagar put inside a clean plastic bottle with a long beaked nozzle with holes around it , put it inside your girlie girlie and squeezethe bottle with the solution in it. jump and dance for five minutes. go back to bed and never never sleep with yourstomach. sleep sideways and on your back.!

Is this true?
I have asked not to try it but a person suggested this for me instead of any other contraception and I just wish to know

Michelle answers:

The rhythm method works, but make sure you do it right.

Your Questions About What Is The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Susan asks…

Could I have twins?

I am a fraternal (non identical) twin /triplet. i.e. I have a twin sister but our triplet brother died a few days old. My mum had fertility treatment to have us, but my grandmother (her mother) was a twin and also my great grandmother on that side was a twin. My Grandmother’s twin never had any children and my Mum was an only child, so we don’t know what the chances were of other twins in that generation of the family. My mum had already had a natural first pregnancy with my older brother – not twins.

I am trying to work out if my Mum would have had twins even if she hadn’t had fertility treatment, and does that make me or my twin likely to have them? Is it more likely as a second pregnancy?

Michelle answers:

You are more likely to have twins if it runs in your family but sometimes it skips a generation so does not always mean you will
if your mum had fertility treatment and had twins that’s different because she did not conceive naturally

Daniel asks…

Will they ever go away?!?

My daughter is almost 9 months old. During pregnancy, I developed hemorrhoids. Nearly nine months after my c-section (I didn’t even have a natural delivery!), I am STILL having flare-ups. I am not sure, but I think they may be coinciding with the onset of my period. Will this ever end? Usually they are not that bothersome, but this month they really hurt. Is this something that, once you have it, it never goes away? If they continue to hang around, will surgical removal be necessary? I know all the stuff to do to alleviate the discomfort, I’m just wondering what others’ experiences were. Thanks for bearing through this definitely-too-much-information question.
Well, constipation certainly isn’t causing them…that hasn’t been an issue since I had my gallbladder removed six weeks after my daughter was born.

Michelle answers:

Mine went away after a few months. Use witch hazel and
tucks pads, sitz bath will help also. I know it can be a pain in the buttl

Paul asks…

What does it make you successful make you pregnancy?

With my first son (who is one year old now) I was already pregnancy with him by the first time TTC with my husband.

Now we are TTC # 2 since 3 months. I don’t know why it’s keep me wait so long be pregnancy again. Anyway how do I successful be pregnancy again? because I want to have another one so bad and want my son can have sisters/brothers. Is there any ovulation calendar online that do make you successful pregnancy?

I never had been on birth control or any other stuff nothing but natural. What does it make you successful make you pregnancy?

Michelle answers:

You got lucky the first time. It can take up to and beyond a year for a normal, healthy couple to conceive. There is only a 20-25% chance of conception each cycle – and that’s with perfect timing.

You should visit http://www.fertilityfriend.com and sign up for their free online charting course. It will teach you how to pinpoint your most fertile time of the month. The online calculators aren’t so accurate. I steer WAY clear of those.

Nancy asks…

Is it child abuse to let young teen girl keep a pregnancy?

Below is a rant from a woman who criticizes the mother of a girl who appeared the Maury Show and got pregnant at the age of 12. she said letting her give birth is child abuse because carrying the baby at such a young age is a huge strain on a girl’s body.

http://www.angelfire.com/retro/purple_vinyl/paternityXIII.html

7. Fourteen year old Rebekah, her disgusting enabling mother, six month old mistake Emalee (gag), and her older ex Chad. She and Chad were in a secret relationship, and Rebekah went and had sex with him to prove she loved him. Maury claimed that being only twelve years old at the time, she had no idea she could get pregnant. Either she’s a liar or incredibly ignorant. Kindergarteners in this day and age know how you make a baby, even if most of them are blissfully unaware of how you can have sex for pleasure instead of just doing it when you want a baby! “He took advantage of a little girl!” Mom ranted backstage. Fuck you, you hypocritical asshole. It’s child abuse to let a twelve year old have a baby. Think of the gargantuan strain on her still-growing body and how ignorant and ill-informed she already obviously was about her own body. I feel bad for both Rebekah and Emalee. I can only imagine how scary labour must feel for a thirteen year old, how terrifying it must be to get pregnant at twelve, how most girls who get pregnant that young have to have C-sections because their bodies aren’t developed enough yet for natural delivery. Did she even know where the baby would come out of or how big the average newborn is? I would have been bitchslapping the alleged father in addition to throwing a chastity belt onto Rebekah after immediately putting up the money for her abortion, even taking her to the nearest place offering RU-487 if need be, for a less invasive and scary abortion procedure. What Rebekah’s mother did was absolute child abuse, letting a twelve and thirteen year old little girl keep a pregnancy and destroy her youth. She actually had the audacity to declare that Emalee was a miracle and gift from God, and that “That baby’s awesome!” Only like 15 or 20 years ago no respectable woman would have openly publicly declared a baby born out of wedlock to a 13 year old little girl was some kind of miracle and gift from God!

I think it would be wrong not to allow her to keep the pregnancy unless is was for her health and she was unable to make such a decision.

Michelle answers:

No of course it’s not child abuse, the 12 year old was dumb enough to get herself pregnant and she’s not been forced to keep the child.

Your Questions About Natural Ivf Clinics

Daniel asks…

“MINI IVF” IS THIS THE NEW AND SAFE IVF?

I heard about this new method of ivf, its more holistic and safer. The clinic that i found the info for in newhopefertility.the mini ivf was created in Japan…and is finally being discovered in the U.S. I am just wondering if this new method of ivf is popular or if anyone knows someone that has done this mini ivf procedure. Its only using clomid….selecting only “quality” eggs not using any injectables and using a nasal spray to stimulate the ovulation. I am just curious to know if someone knows about the new IVF….i have a consulation soon…but still want some of my own info from others…..wish me luck….tried 4 ius failed…had ectopic pregnancy was on clomid twice…i just hope this si the right step…its not to invasive…..and its more natural…and this thing is im 26…and i am soo in mommy mode…….so just wish me luck and for those thats interested check out the website….newhopefertility.com

Michelle answers:

They cant pick quality eggs from bad eggs without removing eggs and looking at them under a microscope. They do this when you have regular IVF any ways and only implant the ones that give you the most success rate. As for non-injectable ovulation stimulants, clomid, is a pill and is used to force ovulation, so the fact that there is a non-injectible is nothing new. The fact that it is a nasal spray will either get into your blood stream faster or, will just be blown out your nose when you feel the need to blow your nose from drippy stuff being up there.

I would be liery about new proceedures such as this because I have found that not always, but some times, they are alluring to people who are desperate to conceive but arent statistically proven to work.

I would look for scientific evidence that they work and look at % of them working. While IVF is expensive, why not just go that route? It will give you the best chance.

Considering that IUI didnt work has your dr. Done a complete blood panel on yourself and then checked your partner to make sure there isnt an underlying cause? Im sure they have, but throwing it out there just in case. Also, have you had a hystosalpigogram? To see if you have blocked tubes or some thing? IUF isnt much more than sticking sperm in your tubes so it doesnt have as far to go. IVF makes a baby and then impregnates you. I dont know what these ‘mini’ IVF treatments do, but if they are just a new version of IUI, I wouldnt waste the time or money. Good luck!

Mark asks…

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year. Anyone have advise?

I have several disorders that are restricting me from conceiving. (severe endometrioses, my T cells attack his sperm, and my cervical mucus is always to thick.) I want to know what works best when trying to conceive. We are going to a fertility clinic that says that the only way we are going to be able to conceive is through IVF, or medications. I want to know about any natural methods that may work. I feel so broken that I have not been able to conceive, considering he doesnt have anything stopping him from having children.

Michelle answers:

Hi there, Sorry to hear about your problems. I know how you feel. My husband and I tried to conceive for 2 years before they found out that I had Polycystic Ovaries. They told me i would have a hard time getting pregnant without Invitro. I wanted to try anyways. I started out on metformin for a year with no success. Then they suggested Clomid. I wasnt having periods at all so they had to give me medication to enduce a period then i began taking clomid. I did the first round (they only usually allow 3/4 rounds because it thins the lining of your uterous). No success. Devasted i tried again. And to my surprise i got pregnant immediatly after round 2. I am now 25 weeks pregnant with a big and healthy baby. So dont give up, and dont rule out medication, they do take time and are frustrating, but when they work, it is a wonderful experience. I am finding out the sex of my baby in two weeks. Dont give up, it can happen for you! Best of luck.

Michael asks…

Is there drugs avalible to increase sperm count and motiliy?

We’re doing all the natural things to increase sperm count i.e no hot baths, tight underwear and zinc but my husband has a low sperm count of 12.5million per ml, not so good. Haven’t been given an appointment at the fertility clinic yet but was wondering if they will suggest medication before IUI and IVF?

Michelle answers:

Hi Katy, me and my husband are going through a similar thing. Our specialist says that they can medicate a woman to help ovulation but there is nothing they can give to men to increase sperm count or motility. I know what you are going through, we are waiting on some test results and it may have to be I.V.F for us too. It was a shock at first but i have now started looking at it that at least we both have what we need to make our own baby, even if it will be expensive and might mean a long wait. I wish you lots of luck x

David asks…

Finding a fertility clinic ….?

Me and my fiance plan to have a child. Back in 2002 I had a tubaligation therefore natural conception is pretty much impossible. Planning to go through IVF to concieve. Where is the best fertility clinic to go thru to concieve our child? We live in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida ..

The Reproductive Medicine Group is the best in Tampa Bay. You can check out other clinics in Tampa and all over Florida here at sart.org http://www.sart.org/find_frm.html# Here is a list of the top clinics in the country http://www.surrogacyforall.com/Top-IVF-Clinics.html and RMG is on this list. IVFconnections.net is a great forum where you can search by location and ask the gals there about that clinic, doctors, or other clinics in Florida. Check it out!
