Your Questions About Natural Ivf

Carol asks…

It took us 19 months to conceive first baby?

It took us 19 months to conceive our first baby, the natural way (did not get ivf, etc), is it likely it will take just as long the second time around?
How far apart did you space your children in ages, and did it work out the way you wanted and why or why not?

Michelle answers:

I’m pregnant with my second baby, My first is now 4 1/2, she was kinda an oops lol. I had a miscarriage when she was 2, and then I couldn’t get pregnant again til she was almost 4, I got preg this jan and her b-day is feb. They will be like almost 5 years apart, but for us, that was good spacing, kids are a lot of work and hubby and I both have careers. We are done after this baby, I got my one of each, this one is a boy. Good luck to you!

Mandy asks…

Had hysterosalpingogram and radiologist was unable to get catheter in. What does this mean?

I had a Hysterosalpingogram yesterday, and the radiologist was unable to get the catheter inside my uterus. I don’t see my regular doctor for a few weeks to discuss the results so I am trying to get info on my own. I am concerned that it is a blockage or something that would not only prevent a natural pregnancy but also artificial insemination or IVF, since those require the catheters as well. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? I am at a loss as to what this means.

Michelle answers:

Hi, I don’t think my first answer went through properly so am posting this again. I had a HSG today. They couldn’t complete it as the nurse kept saying she could not get the catheter through the 2nd layer of the cervix. She explained that there is the cervix which has a small whole in it, and behind this is a bit like a 2nd cervis if you like, a second layer. Basicaly they have to get the catheter tube through the first whole on the cervix and the the 2nd layer which also has a whole in it. The two holes need to line up so that they can get the tube through both. A bit like threading a piece of cotton through two needles. The nurse could not see the whole in the 2nd layer (must have a whole in it as otherwise how would I have a period – it wouldn’t be able to drain). They got another qualified nurse to come in and all in all they attempted it 6 times (ouch). She said just because they couldn’t do it does not mean I am infertile, as sperm swim around and find the whole in the 2nd layer. Anyway I left in tears as I have read that having the dye test can kind of “wash” everything and wash out mucous deposits etc and some people then concieve (obviously if there is no other probem spotted). I now have to wait for the NHS nurse to write to the NHS consultant, who splits her surgery between 2 areas. Don;t know how long it will take for her to contact me. The nurse said that the consultant will “probably” re-bbok me in again and give me a local anaesetic so that they can stretch things open a bit more and re-attempt, or try something else – no idea what. I felt very vulernable today, 4 people in the x-ray room with me, although my husband was not allowed in. I am 37, 38 in February and we have been trying for just over a year. I seem to have passed all other hormone tests, and my husband has passed his sperm test, although he rated 50% on mobility of sperm and 50% is the pass mark. They did say that you’d hjave to be superman to even get 70%. It’s just a waiting game and so frustating. I qualified to go private for al lmy testing as I had been a member of BUPA for 2 years through my company medical scheme. However, my company has now swapped medical supplier and they will not cover any infertility investigations. It is soul destroying. Everyone around me seems to get pregnant and they only do it once !I have now given up buying Ovulation kits etc as it gets my hopes up to much. The consultant put me in for the HSG but did say at the meeting that as we had been trying for a year, we would have to try for another year before they do anything else. That’s ok if you are 21 !!!! I am totally fed up and frustated.

Paul asks…

What would Darwin’s opinion of IVF be?

If Darwin was alive today, would he be opposed to IVF? Is his theory against it?
I was conceived through IVF, but would he argue, due to natural selection, I should not exist? My parents could not conceive and therefore should not?

Just curious, I’m all for it, btw!
Oh ok, I don’t know much about it, sorry!
What about thee whole “survival of the fittest” mantra then, would it be opposed?

Michelle answers:

One could argue that “survival of the fittest” has now moved to a new level since it’s not only about creating a life worthy fetus but also about having the money to pay for the IVF.

That your parents had a bit of help to conceive doesn’t rule out the natural selection either. Think about it. Did they only fertilize one egg and that one egg turned into you? Most couples fertilize many eggs and they have to go through the process many times to finally get pregnant. There are also couples that fail to get pregnant no matter how many times they can afford to try. So, in a way you can still say that natural selection and/or survival of the fittest is still working.

Still that’s not really what natural selection is about either, it’s about how positive traits that a species benefit from will become more common over time. A person that can’t conceive naturally can still have positive traits.

Jenny asks…

What did you pregnant ladies do to conceive? Besides the obvious?

It’s been almost 3 years since my ectopic with tube removal. I am so beyond frustration!! I eat healthy take prenatals along with other minerals and still nothing! I am desperate! But not desperate enough for Clomid or IVF. I want to conceive all natural. I feel so down at times and sometimes less of a woman.

Michelle answers:

I tried for about a year and a half, nothing happened. Finally I heard someone saying go on birth control for a couple of days. Then stop. When you stop your body goes into through spontaneous ovulation. Thats how I got pregnant. It worked for my friend too. She did that with both of her kids.

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Ruth asks…

Repost: I just want a simple answer….when should I do a test 4 pregnancy after miscarriage?

I just posted this but everyone is telling me to wait one period or ever 6 months….well I have had the all clear from the doctor to start trying again…so ITS OK!

All I want to know is just when to do a pregnancy test???

I had a natural miscarriage 13 days ago.
I was 5 weeks so there were no complications of anything.
Me and my boyfriend have started trying again 2 days ago and will continue to do so for another 3 weeks (Just to be sure when I ovulate)

So my question is when should I do a pregnancy test?

(Im showing negative at the moment as Im back to normal with HCG levels)
Erin – Yes sorry, its just everyone was telling me not to try again for like 6 months and stuff even tho the doctor said I could. Thankyou anyways.
HA – I got that wrong again lol. That was ment to the first person who answered lol

Michelle answers:

Id sat if you going to ty for the next 3 weeks .. Then id leave the testing another 2 weeks after that so your HCG levels are high enough to pick up on the test .. Good luck and baby dust to you *^*^*^*^*

Joseph asks…

Ovulation , with negative pregnancy test on day 12 post 4 weeks miscarriage. HELP!?

I miscarried my first pregnancy (on 100mg Clomid) 12 days ago. i was 4 weeks. My doctor gave us the go ahead to try again. He said i should ovulate 2- 4 weeks after the first day of bleeding with miscarriage, and i have a good chance of a normal cycle after wards with me having pcos. Said this might be the horomoe boost my body needed. ( I had no D&C, it was natural)

I took a digital pregnancy test 3 days after bleeding had stoped. (only bled for 5 days) and it said it was NOT pregnant.
Does this mean the pregnancy horomone has left my body?
Do i have a good chance of ovulating around day 14?
Do the cramps feel the same? or un noticeable?
I took a Ovulation test today and it said no LH yet. I am hopefull and any other HELPfull information is appreciated on ovulation right after miscarriage! Thanks!!

Michelle answers:

Hey hun!

Sorry about your miscarriage – I had one at 6 weeks Sept 08 – I didn’t need a D&C, my hormones were back to normal when I had my next blood test 5 days later.

I then fell pregnant on day 14. So for you that would be to fall pregnant in two days time.

Yes the hormones have all left your system now, and you are more fertile so keep BD’ing every 2nd day.

You will probably get your LH in 1-3 days time. The cramps for me weren’t noticable either.

Good luck xxx

Donald asks…

my friend missed her periods by 14days or so, and got pregnancy test positive?

is there a way where she can have a natural abortion? without going to doctors?

Michelle answers:

A suggestion . . . .
Provoke a period when you are due, it can even work if you are a bit late. You can do this by using Vitamin C.
Take 6-12 grams of ascorbic acid – vitamin C a day for 5-10 days. Specifically ascorbic acid. Do not use vitamin C with bioflaviniods or anything that has Rose-hips in it. Look for the cheap generic brands, they are usually the ones that have pure ascorbic acid. Doses consisting of one 500 mg tablet per hour are most common.
The vitamin C -ascorbic acid- works to produce an unfavorable climate within the uterus so that the egg does not implant, or cannot maintain its grip on the uterine wall. By stimulating estrogen, and possibly interfering with progesterone. Thus making it useful as an emergency contraceptive, when taking it before implantation occurs.
Progesterone is needed to prepare the uterus to receive the egg, the uterine lining builds up each month, and if the egg is not fertilized then this is what becomes the menstrual blood, when the lining is shed to prepare for the next cycle.

If you have any questions about it, email me. I have used these methods successfully before. I take 1,000mg every two hours until bleeding commences. You should be waking up every 4 hours and taking your missed doses at night, this ensures that you have a constant level of ascorbic acid in your blood stream. 12grams a day – 1,000mg/1gr every two hours.

NATURAL INDUCED MISCARRIAGE
Last Resort Methods
According to a 2003 study by the British Medical Journal of 1055 women it was discovered that pregnant patients who took aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) were 60% – 80% more likely to miscarry than women who didn’t use the pain reliever.
*I recommend taking aspirin 4 – 12 pills a day. They are also a blood thinner and that will help with what you are trying to accomplish.

Natural Miscarriage Reproductive Rights for Women

Info if you need it . . . .
If you go to a Planned Parenthood clinic that has a low-income program it can be as cheap as 100$. If you tells them you have no job, no money and no support (ie no boyfriend or husband) they will likely have you pay the minimum for the procedure and get donations to cover the rest. 1-800-230-PLAN (1-800-230-7526) to find the Planned Parenthood clinic nearest you. If you are underage it will mostly likely be free and it’s always confidential.

You have the choice between the pill (which can be taken up to 11weeks, at home or at a friends house) or the vacuum method (in clinic procedure). Personally I used the pill method so I could be at home with my husband but some women want to have the surgical, so it’s done and over with when they leave the clinic.

You will be financially screened – usually this goes on the honor system, weight/height taken, blood pressure checked, pricked -fingertip- to check for rH factor and anemia, you will receive an ultrasound or sonogram to determine gestational age. You may be asked if you want to view the image, this is up to you. You will receive antibiotics, anti-nausea tabs and pain meds. Take them ALL. You must finish at the very least your course of antibiotics. Follow all aftercare instructions and go back to your after care appt. This last step is vital, you must go back for your aftercare appt! Abortion begins a new menstrual cycle. You should have a regular period in 4 to 8 weeks.you should have the option of receiving birth control – again this will most likely be free, take it and use it correctly.

If you are underage you may want to check this site out to see about parental consent laws and whatnot. Http://www.sexetc.org/state *Even if it says you need parental consent, you don’t. Call PP and tell them you cannot tell your parents; by law, a judicial bypass must be available to those minors who just cannot get their parents/guardians permission. A judge signs the parental consent acting as a de facto guardian. Abortion funding http://www.nnaf.org/help.html

Some state medicaid program do pay for it, use this link and figure out if your state covers it. If they do, you can go to “welfare” office and get emergency coverage and the state and taxes will help pay for it. Http://www.ourbodiesourselves.org/book/companion.asp?id=20&compID=64

Your Questions About Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Linda asks…

When can i start working out? i just had a baby 3 weeks ago?

I had my lil girl on the 21st…i stopped bleeding before she was 2 weeks old…I had a completely natural birth no drugs….I had no tears or anything and i have felt great these last 2 weeks, I am trying to hold out. What else needs to heal? and do i really have to wait until the 6 week check up? i just feel fat and frumpy seeing how i gained 53lbs during my pregnancy and have only lost 20…nothing fits me but sweat pants and its super depressing. Thanks guys

Michelle answers:

Just because YOU feel great doesn’t mean you’re body (your internal body) has fully recovered. Please give it the full 6 weeks to ensure you’re body has had time to ‘pull’ everything together.

Michael asks…

Am I past the danger zone with my pregnancy yet?

Ok, I am worried and want to know if I am past the “natural abortion” possibility stage of my pregnancy. (That is where there is a problem with the baby and the body naturally rejects the baby. NO I DO NOT WANT TO ABORT MY BABY. I AM OLD ENOUGH TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF AND MY BABY WHEN IT IS BORN!!! AND I HAVE MY FIANCEE HERE TO HELP ME AS WELL!)
I am 13 weeks, or that is what they told me during my ultrasound. So am I clear of that or is there still a possibility that it still could happen? And if it could still happen, what can I do to prevent it from happening till I reach a safer period in my pregnancy?
Btw I should have mentioned that my insurance is pending so NO I can’t go to a doctor just yet. So please no more “contact your doctor” responses or they will get thumbs down. If I could ask a doctor, I wouldn’t be asking on here. And pregnancy sites don’t seem to give the answer either… So does any one know? Please give a reasonable answer.

Michelle answers:

My doctor referred to the “safe zone” as being 12 weeks, so yes you are out of the stage that MOST miscarriages happen. BUT, there is always the possibility of losing a baby at any time in a pregnancy, even at 40 weeks… Stressing and worrying is the worst thing you can do, but trust me, i understand where you are coming from. Good luck, and I am sure you will have a happy healthy baby!

Sandra asks…

Steven asks…

Pregnancy? Something else? Help me!?

Okay, so I have been on the Monofeme pill for over 2 years and i have never been late. I missed around 5 pills max last month and on other months accidentely a couple but that usually initiates a bit of a blood flow. I was due on the 6th and have not got my period. I took a HPT on the 8th day of being late and i was negative, i then took one this morning being 16 days late and still negative. I have experienced pre-menstral like cramps and il put a pad in then nothing?

I have experienced light-headed dizziness followed by nausea but that wears off shortly after. I am now 16 days late. When we have sex we don’t use condoms for the first 10 minutes then we put one on so I do not know what could be going on and have had sex every other day since being late. Can anyone help?

Before this period I have had all normal period on the due date and everything has been normal. I have not been unde a lot of stress lately been doing the same old thing just my period not showing up. I used the Clear Blue pregnancy test but negative. Any ideas? I am just so confused.

My boobs having been changing over the last couple of months so this might just be natural. But the nipples themselves are dark around the edge then white in the middle but as soon as i touch them they go normal. They only change in colour when left for a long time i really do not know??

Michelle answers:

If you have taken that many tests and you are negative it may be your body reacting to you missing some pills you need to make sure that you dont miss any pills your body has been used to them for 2 years and now you are missing some but i would go to a doctor and get a blood test done.

Your Questions About Natural Ivf

Ken asks…

im on day 11 of ivf transfer, and my breast are very sore?

im on day 11 of ivf transfer and my breast are very sore, is this natural so soon, is that a good sign, yesterday i spotted a bit, wasnt blood more like pink, was that implantation ,

Michelle answers:

That is a very good sign and yes it sounds like implantation bleeding! Yay good luck to you

Mark asks…

RE: IVF, If a fertilized embryo is frozen for 5 years then inseminated, surely the baby would have problems?

Does anyone else think IVF is just not natural?

I mean, sperm and egg weren’t meant to last outside of the Human Body for too long…yet scientists are now playing God by mixing sperm+egg in a Petri Dish, then freezing them for 5+ years…and then the couple decides years down the track to insert the embryo into the woman?

Surely there must be some long-term effects on the baby? Would a baby grow up “normal” if it had actually been frozen for 5 years before?! It just doesn’t seem right/natural and is not the way God intended couples to conceive!

Having children is NOT a right! If you are barren…then tough. That is your lot in life.

Michelle answers:

Infertility is a medical condition and should be treated as such with proper medical care. Most couples do not intend to keep the embryo frozen for five years unless they are faced with other issues. Most couples hope to be successful in a fresh cycle, using their embryo right away to conceive and rather than destroy life, any embryos they do not transfer are frozen for a future cycle or donation.

If you have cancer should we say tough, that is your lot in life it is not natural to inject your body with poison through chemotherapy to kill the cancer cells?

I believe that God makes all things possible – if not for God, IVF would not exist for people to bring beautiful, creative, intelligent children in His image into the world.

“Judge not, that ye be not judged (Matthew 7:1).”

Paul asks…

Should anybody be allowed to say “Thats not natural”?

In a world where there is IVF, Transplant and Sex Change Operations are common, should we be more open to ideas like cloning and designer babies?
I mean morally forbidden, against the law because of what people think.

Michelle answers:

The only people who can legitimately insist that ANYTHING is ‘not natural’ are those who live naked in trees and eat only raw food that they’ve gathered with their own bare hands.

Carol asks…

Can Azoospermia be cured by natural medicine or food?my husband has Azoospermia, but my sister in law has kid?

my husband has Azoosspermia , butmy father-in-law had 3 children so i dont think there is a genetic reason behind this , but five years ago he worked in a bio-chemistry lab . my question is because of any radiation he got this Azoospermia? , any remedy is there other than IVF

Michelle answers:

Azoospermia is the medical condition of a male not having any measurable level of sperm in his semen. It is associated with very low levels of fertility.

Azoospermia has two forms:

obstructive azoospermia, where sperm are created, but cannot be mixed with the rest of the ejaculatory fluid due to a physical obstruction, and;
non-obstructive azoospermia, where there is a problem with spermatogenesis, as in the condition of hyperprolactinemia.
Congenital azoospermia, where azoospermia is a manifestation of cystic fibrosis due to agenesis of vas deferens.
Azoospermia is a reported side effect of androgen drugs and corticosteroids because they suppress the hypothalamus release of GnRH and therefore FSH. This causes azoospermia in males and amenorrhea in females

Most men facing a semen analysis fear the diagnosis of azoospermia. However, that diagnosis does not necessarily mean that the man produces no sperm or can never be made to produce any sperm and thus will never have a biological child. Accurate diagnosis of azoospermia is complicated. Correctible causes must be found and treated. Even then if there are no sperm in the ejaculate, sperm can often be harvested and used to achieve fertilization.

Your Questions About Fox News

Mary asks…

Fox News…………..?

Being from England, i don’t see much of it, however the bits i have seen from it are shocking…
Its like a flow of unbidden sewage coming through your house via the Television…
The presenters are way over the top, moronic, dramatic, emotional, fundamentalist Creationists that hate free speech and twist everything factual to fit their twisted beliefs.

My QUESTION is…. How did Fox News ever get on TV, who allowed this abomination?
Fox News is a crime against humanity.

What do you think about it?

Michelle answers:

I think that stations like CNN and the BBC are way too liberal for my taste. It caters to unrealistic ideals and it ignores half of the truth in each story. They are known for giving one side and not the other and for pandering to Muslims. Instead of discussing the facts they dwell on perceived hatred by the Conservatives, and instead of investigating the whole story, most often they have only been interested in how to bring the “racist” element alive in their news even if there’s nothing racist to be told. Example: The story in Texas about the employer who asked his employees to use easier names to pronounce for customer service calls… They jumped on it, and instead of looking at it from the perspective of customer ease, they attempted to make the business owner look bad for it calling him a racist, and when they had a guest reporter who was also Latino speak on it, the reporter said that was perfectly reasonable to ask of this employees.

I think in all cases both sides should be represented, not just one, and tell the entire story.

Sandy asks…

FOX News???

The content of FOX truly does have liberal and conservative points of view. So…how and why do other news journalists question FOX viewers intelligence? Could it be that FOX is more pro-American than other news organizations who seem to be more concerned with global news?

Michelle answers:

Well lets start off by saying that that first answer you got shows that level of moronic ignorance out there in America today. They don’t question the Fox News viewers intelligence because they are Fox News watchers but rather that the viewer doesn’t follow in lock step with the point of view that they personally hold. This leads us into next question; it is not that the others are less “pro-American” as it may look, they are pushing an agenda/propaganda that they want you to believe instead. It make them upset when you think for yourself and don’t drink the koolaid they are passing out. We live in a global society and there is no way out of that, they just want to be crowned kings & worshiped as important people instead of just doing their job honestly. “Check every fact on every channel for your own good…read, watch, ask questions and never believe that anyone knows everything!” Good luck to you in life my friend!

Linda asks…

Fox news………………..?

Who all watches fox news and who is your favorite person on it?

Michelle answers:

I occasionally find myself watching fox but they are pretty bias.

Honestly I watch them to see the opposite side of the news. They’re pretty radical with the information they report on.

I honestly prefer to read the news. I’m Ol’skool

Steven asks…

fox news…..?

do you think fox news is fair and balanced?

Michelle answers:

Seems to me, they are more for the Republican Party then the Democratic Party. No, they are not fair and balanced. Not, at all.

To be honest I hadn’t made my mind up who I was going to vote for until this week. Now that doesn’t mean I was considering Obama because there’s no way I’d vote for him. On the issues he is willing to address, I totally disagree with him. But there are too many serious issues that he just responds with “I’m not going to go there”. What kind of answer is that from a man wanting to hold the most powerful position in the most powerful country in the world?

But I wasn’t sure about McCain either because I’ve always seen him as a liberal RINO. But… In all honesty, the facts don’t lie and with his choice for VP, I think he’s now got my vote.

By the way. Thanks for the list. With the Obama’s lame stream media refusing to address anything but Sarah Palin’s womanhood and family it’s important for people to get this information.

Thomas asks…

Why do obama supporters get so mean when someone shows them the FACTS about their candidate?

I already know this question will be reported, just as my other recent FACTUAL question were, but isn’t ANYONE interested in FACTS, ISSUES & where the candidates stand?
1: Favors new drilling offshore in the US – McCain: Yes
Obama: No

2. Will appoint judges who interpret the law & NOT make it –
McCain: Yes
Obama: No

3: Served in the U.S. Armed Forces –

McCain: 22 YEARS
Obama: 173 DAYS

5. Will institute a socialized National Health Care Plan –
McCain: No
Obama: Yes

6. Supports abortion throughout the pregnancy
McCain: No
Obama: Yes

7. Would pull troops out of Iraq immediately –
McCain: No
Obama: Yes (bringing the terrorists to us)

8. Supports gun ownership rights –

Obama: No

9. Supports Homosexual marriage –

Obama: Yes

10. Proposed programs that will mean HUGE tax increases –

Obama: Yes

11. Voted AGAINST making English the official language in the U.S. –
McCain: No
Obama: Yes

12. Voted to give Social Security benefits to ILLEGALS –

Obama: Yes

What about taxes? Do you know where they both stand?

Capital Gains Tax –
McCain: 0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does NOT propose any changes in existing home sales income tax.

Obama: 28% on profit from ALL home sales. In other words, if you sell your home & make a profit. you WILL pay 28% of your gain in taxes. If you are heading to retirement & want to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from selling your home WILL go to taxes. This WILL adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.

Dividend Tax –
McCain: 15% (NO change)

Obama: 39.6% In other words, if you have ANY money invested in the stock markets, IRA, Mutual Funds, College Funds, Life Insurance, Retirement Accounts or ANYTHING that pays or reinvests dividends, “YOU” WILL now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes IF obama becomes president. Experts predict that “Higher tax rates on dividends & capital gains WILL crash the stock markets & will do NOTHING to cut the deficit.”

Income Tax –
McCain: (no changes)
single making 30K – tax $4500
Single making 50K – tax $12,500
Single making 75K – tax $18,750
Married making 60K – tax $9000
Married making 75K – tax $18,750
Married making 125K – tax $31,250

Obama: (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)
Single making 30K – tax $8400
Single making 50K – tax $14,000
Single making 75K – tax $23,250
Married making 60K – tax $16,800
Married making 75K – tax $21,000
Married making 125K – tax $38,750

Under obama, taxes will almost double

Inheritance Tax –
McCain: 0% (no change – Bush repealed this tax)

Obama: Restore the inheritance tax
Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches & homes that have been in their familes for generations because they could NOT afford to pay the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to their loved ones will ONLY lose them to these taxes.

New Taxes Proposed –
McCain: 0

Obama: New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet.
New gasoline taxes, New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity), New taxes on retirement accounts & last but not least, New taxes to pay for “socialized medicine” so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third world countries!!!

NOTHING IS FREE, SOMEONE ALWAYS HAS TO PAY!!!

So, I want to know why obama supporters get so angry when they are shown FACTS?

Audrey: Like what? Did you look the information up?
Barb: Then prove me wrong. Many of the facts that I have found come from the “left” media CNN. Are you telling me THEY don’t have their facts right? If so, then why are they left?
jim, twa: That is such a pathetic & typical Democratic comment you just proved my point. McCain is NOT stalling, he IS doing his JOB. This is the SECOND time in recent weeks that McCain has put the U.S. first. The first time was when Hurricane Ike was coming in. But all obama thinks of is himself. Then of course he wouldn’t want to do anything that would bring into the for front his involvment in being in the number 2 spot feeding at the trough of Fannie & Freddie would he? Just ANOTHER FACT I thought I would share!!
What Democrats need to remember is that CONGRESS makes the laws & the President can ONLY do with what he is given.
The Democratic Congress is NOT doing anything so as to make the Republicans look incompetent since it is an election year, when in FACT it is the DEMOCRAT led Congress that is NOT doing their job because THEY are incompetent.
Your Horns Are Showing: You have GOT to be kidding!! The right is paranoid? The Democrats have leaped off the edge. They are sending hate mail to a Maine news anchor saying she is trying to look like Governor Palin & sending subliminal messages to viewers to get them to vote Republican! That is beyond paranoid, that is just plain INSANE!!!
B Star: NOBODY is talking about race but YOU. As for New Orleans, look at YOUR governor & mayor. THEY left those people there by NOT doing their job & NOT using the funds provided SEVERAL times to fix & reinforce the levies. Hurricane Katrina was an act of God, NOT the Federal Government.
I’m not upset in the least. There is ALWAYS things about people that we don’t like, I am not different, but I have yet to find ANYONE who supports obama who can tell me why & what has he done in his 173 days to qualify him for the presidency. I don’t want regurgitated campaign garbage either. I want “REAL” reasons & “REAL” experience & “REAL” qualifications.
Annalies: are you serious? Higher taxes will NOT get more people health care. Who do you think will be paying for this universal health care? When businesses are taxed & MORE people are unemployed, who will they tax to pay for it then? You cannot simply raise taxes on people to get more money, because sooner or later, the people will have NO money, NO house, NO job, NO food, NO NOTHING!! Then what? Universal health care will no longer be there because there will be NOBODY left to tax to pay for it!
uneyk: Do you honestly believe what you wrote? “WITH THE PEOPLE”? What does that mean? He was a “Community Organizer”. what is that? Did he organize monday night bingo, community bake sales & rummage sales? WHAT is a community organizer? There are scarecrows in Kansas who know as much about foreign affairs, government & this country than obama does. What country have you ever been in where they have changed their official language to suit ANYONE but the people who make up that country? If I move to France, I should speak french, because THAT is their OFFICIAL language. If I move to Norway, I should speak Norwegian, because THAT is their OFFICIAL language. NO country should lose their OWN identity or language to make immigrants happy or make it easier for illegals. ENGLISH IS the “OFFICIAL” language of the United States & it ALWAYS should be & WILL be.
Whiteside: NOW fifeldity matters to you? NOW? Did it bother you when Clinton did it? or how about Edwards or the multitude of other Democrats. Did it bother you THEN?? I’m sure it didn’t, you were all just as blind, deaf & dumb to all of that as you are about facts concerning Obama. Every person who registers as a Democrat should receive one of those little statues of the three monkeys…”HEAR NO EVIL” “SEE NO EVIL” “SPEAK NO EVIL” because that is how you all are when it comes your candidates.
ooopppsss! that should have read – fidelity

Michelle answers:

I guess it’s because “Facts” aren’t all that important to them. But you can’t really blame them. Look at the ones they would choose as their leaders. You’ve pretty well covered Obama, but look at his choice of VP.
Why do they think Obama made such a good choice in choosing Biden? Because of Biden’s intellect? How many of youo libs caught this?———

In Biden’s recent interview with Courric he said;

“Part of what a leader does is to instill confidence…….demonstrate he or she knows what they are talking about…..when stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and……”

Ummm. Excuse me Mr. Biden, but Roosevelt wasn’t in office in 1929 when the stock market crashed. That would be Herbert Hoover (1929-1933) and in 1929, how many people do you suppose HAD (or had even dreamed there could be such a thing as) a tv? Hmmmm?

Lips and tennis shoes—the both of them. Top and bottom and nothing in the middle!

Your Questions About What Is The Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Linda asks…

Is there any hope for this pregnancy?

I wanted to see if anyone thought there was any hope for me. A little about my history: I am 30 years old and my husband is 32. I have been pregnant 6 times including this time. I had one natural early miscarriage in 2000 followed by three healthy beautiful babies (born in 2001, 2005, and 2006), followed by one missed miscarriage/blighted ovum in which I had a D&C in 2008. My LMP was approx. 5/14/09. The thought of another miscarriage didn’t cross my mind because I have had healthy babies and after having a blighted ovum last time I thought the chances were good this time to have a healthy baby. Well I never spotted in any of my other pregnancies so when I saw a little brownish discharge during a wipe this time around I scheduled an appointment with the doctor right away. I wasn’t too concerned though because I had read that spotting is normal in some pregnancies and that every pregnancy is different. So anyway, the doctor did an ultrasound and said that she could see a sac in the uterus but this was when I was about 5 weeks along and that it was still early and it was blurry so she ordered blood work to ease my mind. She also had me go in a few days later for an ultrasound with the tech who had better equipment and more experience reading sonograms. The tech told me that she could see only a gestational sac with no yolk or fetal pole and that it looked like I was only 4 weeks along. I got my first positive BFP on June 10. Well since this pregnancy I had seemed to have a lot more symptoms than the others, ie: nausea, bloating, gas, sore nipples, etc etc, I was sure the HCG would come back normal and that I was possibly not as far along as I thought. To my surprise my levels came out so low and hardly rising at all.

The first 6/22-HCG 747,
6/24-HCG 853,
6/26-HCG 903.

I had cried for two days and I have already resolved myself to the fact that I will miscarry. I have had no further spotting and I haven’t had any cramping except for the normal cramping that I felt during my other good pregnancies. The doctor called yesterday and wants to do another ultrasound Thursday, July 2nd. After reading the stories online I haven’t heard of many women with HCG levels like mine who had happy endings.

Do you ladies think there is any hope for this to turn out good?

Also, any ideas on what can cause recurrent pregnancy loss or blighted ovums AFTER having had healthy pregnancies? What kinds of tests can be done to find out why this is happening to me all of a sudden?

Michelle answers:

I have read that some pregnancies just have low hcg levels and healthy babies do come. Dont worry youself to much. Everything happens for a reason and i hope yours comes ot good.

Mary asks…

natural, c section whats your opinions?

so I have had one pregnancy and I’m on my second. With my daughter I had natural birth, super easy birth until after. My uterus had a lot of problems, it tore and wouldn’t go back to its normal size, all types of issues! so when I got pregnant this time my Dr. said I should think about doing c section, but It was completely up to me? When you have a c section…what is it like after, I have a 4 year old and I cant really be laid up in bed for a long time.. with a c section how long does it take to bounce back? and how big is the scar. I’m considering it because I don’t want complications like I had with my daughter! just maybe some experiences would help!
thanks!
thanks for the answers! I just really dont want to risk the chance of something going wrong if I have natural birth! I am a little worried about the c section just because my fiance works alot so I will have to be alone for half of the day, But i think it will work out! thanks again everyone!

Michelle answers:

I had a c-section back in august with my son, and the whole time i was pregnant i was all like “i do NOT want a c-section” but then when the time came and i was in labor i was begging for it because i just couldnt push him out (he was 9 lb and 14 oz and i wouldnt dilate past 7 1/2 cm) so they gave me one and it wasnt as bad as i thought! I mean the days after the c-section was kinda rough but i just kept pushing my self. I was up walking the halls the day after my c-section. And when i got home i was up walking around. I was really sore but i knew i had to take care of my son and i didnt want my boyfriend to do everything for me. I mean he helped me a lot, like getting out of the bed in the middle of the night, turning the shower on for me, helping me up and down the stairs ect. But you arent going to be stuck in the bed. You going to be sore for a little while but they give you pain meds. (i didnt even need mine) So i had a really good experience with a c-section. I think you should go ahead and do it if your doctor says it would be for the best! The scar isnt that bad either, mine is really thin and right on my pubic line

Daniel asks…

Is natural childbirth better for mom and baby or are epidurals okay?

My husband and I have started trying to get pregnant and I am curious as what to do once we are. I’ve heard horrible things about epidurals as well as how painful natural childbirth is. Most of my family members mom, sister, cousins have given birth naturally and would balk at the idea of having an epidural, however I can’t handle pain and the thought of natural childbirth scares me. I’ve always been a little scared to have a baby only because of the pain, which I know is selfish but my husband and I are ready now. So what should I expect? Is it gonna be the worst pain I can imagine? How long does all the “pushing” last? I’m so new to the whole pregnancy thing and I could use all the advice I can get. I don’t know if being a bit older than most pregnant people will help or hinder me, as I’m 31 years old I’ll be 32+ once we would have a baby.

Michelle answers:

I have to start this by saying that if you push a baby out of your vagina it IS a natural birth epidural or not! A c-section is not natural! I have heard all the horrible stories about the epidurals too, but in my opinion, based on my experience with my first baby having an epidural, this was the best invention ever created. For me, it took ALL my pain away. I was able to relax during labor without worrying about the pain, and I was able to enjoy my labor. Pain is not enjoyable! I was even able to pull the baby out and onto my stomach- and I believe that if I had not had the epidural I would not have wanted to do that because I would only have been thinking about the pain. I only pushed 4 times with my first even though I could not feel anything down there. Books and doctors have to tell you the possible risks of having an epidural, but there are risks with absolutely anything you take, even tylenol has risks. I am a huge advocate for epidurals because I had a wonderful experience with one, but others will tell you that it is not a good idea. Those are the people who had a bad experience. People in this pregnancy section, I have noticed, seem to be against epidurals, and I WILL get thumbs downs for my answer because I am talking about how wonderful they are, but this is what I have to say to those people… I am sorry that they had a bad experience and were not able to experience a pain free birth.

Michelle answers:

1~ 17 turned 18 the month after I had him

2~ 4 and twins on the way

3~ In all my pregnancies I craved A-1 sauce, mustard & tomato sandwhiches, veggies, this pregnancy I am craving sweets for the first time, I want cake, oh, and crab cakes

4~ My first was vaginal with epidural that they turned off before I really needed it…. My second was induced, vaginal, with an epidural that wasn’t working…. My third was induced, vaginal, with a perfectly wonderful epidural (didn’t feel anything almost)…. My fourth was natural all the way, got to the hospital at 5:15a.m. And my son was born at 5:40a.m., no time for drugs or anything.. This one the doctor says c-section due to the twins position, but I still have my hopes for another vaginal delivery…

5~ I had morning sickness in all my pregnancies… Some of them worse than others… But mostly the same.. Usually off and on the whole pregnancy… This pregnancy hasn’t been so bad.. As long as I didn’t let myself get hungry I don’t get sick…

6~ My first, second, and fourth were a bit painful, this one is horribly painful as I feel 20 months pregnant already… But they were all well worth it!

7~ DEFINATELY!!!

? Thanks for the survey.. We need more of these in this section… I try to make one ever so often ?

Your Questions About Natural Ivf

Sandra asks…

Should IVF be allowed?

ivf aint a natural process of giving birth but it does help people

Michelle answers:

I do believe in IVF because it does help people achieve their dream of having a child of their own. Cause there are lots of people out there that would do anything to have a child. And they do decide to have ivf to achieve that dream. But I also believe that there should be a limit on the eggs that they put back into the woman. I do believe that there should be no more than 2 eggs returned to a womans uterus. That away there wouldn’t be a chance of having but one or two babies. Because I don’t believe that we were made to have litters of babies. That is for dogs and cats to do. But we were only made to carry one or two babies. And besides if you have more than 3 you really cant give them the time and attention that each one needs. And triplets and higher order multiples are usually born several weeks early and need lots of medical attention. And who likes to see a baby suffer? I sure don’t! So yes I do believe in IVF but I do believe that the government needs to put a stop in these doctors that put more than 2 eggs in a woman to be fertilized.

Carol asks…

Natural ways to improve egg quality?

My R.E. told me that my egg quality is kinda in the middle. They arent great but they arent poor either. I’ve heard things such as maca can improve egg quality. Has anyone tried this? I already eat very well and always have. I’m only 26. We’ve done 2 failed IUI attempts and now we’re starting IVF. Any info would be appreciated. Thanx!

Michelle answers:

I first have to say that egg quality can improve with a change in your medication protocol. I would ask your RE if he thought a change in your medication protocol would make a difference. Know that many RE’s will claim poor egg quality and suggest donor eggs before making changes to their protocol. I may get a second opinion and make sure you are at a clinic with good success rates for your age group. (sart.org in the USA).

After three IVF cycles, I have done much research and found a few things that are believed to help with egg quality. It takes an ovarian follicle about 90 days to fully develop. During that time the follicle quality (and ultimately egg quality) may be influenced. The best thing you can do is to prepare your body for three months before starting another IVF cycle. That should include looking into dietary and lifestyle changes. Keep eating well! Cut out the fast food, eat organic when possible, add lots of fruits and vegetables to your diet, drink lots of water, and limit caffeine and alcohol.

I started taking wheatgrass (powdered Amazing Grass from Whole Foods) 1T. Daily for 3 months. I also started acupuncture. Acupuncture in conjunction with fertility treatments seems to be having a very positive impact. I also took the herbs giving to me by the acupuncturist that did have maca among other things. Here are some other “fertility” herbs http://www.fertilityhelper.net/female_fertility_herbs.html You may want to check it out. I added fish oil, royal jelly, and vitamin D. My first 3 IVF attempts I had some poor and some okay embryos. After the supplements and acupuncture my eggs and embryos were “Beautiful.” I have known a lot of women take just wheatgrass who saw an amazing improvement in embryo quality. Also check out DHEA. I never took it but have read a lot about it and read about a woman who had very poor quality embryos and her RE said to used donor eggs. She decided to try one more time with her own eggs. She took DHEA for 3 months and her RE told her those eggs looked like the eggs from a 20 year old. I know that this clinic now uses DHEA in some patients’ protocol.

Doing things that help to increase blood flow in you reproductive organs is believed to help too. Yoga is great for doing this. Google “fertility yoga” to find some good poses. Also, you can find some fertility yoga DVD’s.

Get the book The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis. This book helped me greatly and is where I learned about the supplements I took. Here is her website http://www.thefertilesoul.com/

Feel free to contact me if you need any more help or just want to vent! I wish you luck!

without science, without IVF

Depends on her body and if she still has her monthly cycle and is ovulating the oldest woman on record at least that I found to conceive naturally was 56. But usually after 40 the chances are lower, but it can happen

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Book

Mary asks…

pregnancy and hair dye?

Okay so I’m 37 weeks, and I was wanting to get my hair dyed back to my natural color. I tried looking into my book of dos and donts that my doctors office gave me and they never once mentioned hair dye. But last time I was pregnant (the same doctors office) told me I can dye my hair once in third trimester…

Can you dye your hair in pregnancy? If so when is a good time?

Michelle answers:

You can dye your hair ANYTIME during your pregnancy. It is perfectly safe for you and baby.
Dr.’s used to recommend waiting until after the third tri-mester only because the smell might make you natiuous.. But other than that it is totally safe

Donald asks…

PREGNANCY QUESTIONS…. PLEASE HELP?

I have just done a test and its positive. my husband is so happy but im very unhappy and scared. is this normal. i cant help feeling like this.

Now some questions, if you could please help answer that would be great…

1. its been 6 weeks since my last period, when do i book into the doctor and what am i booking in for?

2. how do the doctors tell your pregnant? what tests do they do? i dont do needles so how else do they tell?

3. i am so tired in the last week i can hardly walk anywhere in the house with out completely losing my breath, who do i fix this? do i drink lots of coffee or energy drinks?

4. i am in the last week been sick to, when does this usually stop.?? after a few weeks? i cant stand being sick already.

5. once i have been to the doctor do i then change to a baby doctor for the rest of the pregnancy or just go to a normal doctor?

6. at what stage do i organise an epidural with my doctor, as i wont be giving birth without one, so this needs to be taken care of early so i know it wont be so bad. i refuse to go natural without any kind of drugs.

7. is it normal to be crying uuncontrollably since i found out the test was positive?? i cant help it.

i really want to have a baby but i am far to scared about giving birth i cant even talk to anybody about this.
im 28 and married and still am scared to death im even to petrified to talk to the doctor as im scared i will burst out crying in his office. im just really really scared and dont want to go though this. is there any way to ease this feeling??

please help

Michelle answers:

1 you call the doctor as soon as you know your pregnant so you can be put on Pre natal vitamins. They will set an appointment to do a sonogram so if you need Medicaid apply now it takes awhile to get it sometimes.
2 your going to have to do blood work if your pregnant so my suggestion is to just get ready. Blood work is very important for pregnant women to make sure everything is okay with both the baby and the mother. The sonogram will show that you are pregnant, maybe a urine sample as well.
3 the last thing you want to do is drink coffee or energy drinks, they are very bad for the baby. Caffeine is okay to have in your diet but only small amounts. Drink 64 ounces of water a day, get plenty of rest, and eat healthy. It’s normal for pregnant women to feel fatigued.
4 it all depends on your pregnancy, everyone experiences it differently. For me I was so sick I couldn’t drink water without vomiting from week 6 to 16, but not all women have as severe nausea. Typically it ends at about 13 weeks or so.
5 you will see the same obgyn until you have the baby and then you will see a baby doctor for the baby and a obgyn for yourself. So schedule your first appointment with the obgyn that you will want to deliver your baby. It’s okay to switch if you would be more comfortable with someone else but you defiantly need to see someone who is specialized in pregnancy.
6 in the second or third trimester you should make a birth plan and give a copy of it to your doctor. Now during labor you can not have an epidural right away you have to be a certain amount of centimeters dilated before you can have the procedure done.
7 it probably is if your scared, also keep in mind your going through a lot of hormone changes right now.
I know everyone says that labor hurts really bad but the truth is that the pain is manageable. It’s only one day of labor and a lifetime of joy. It’s well worth it trust me. You can’t go into labor thinking it’s going to be horrible then that’s the type of experience your going to have. I suggest you go to like a half priced book store and get some books about pregnancy and birth. There are a lot of things you can’t do when pregnant and books will help to ease the transition. Good luck. I wish you well!!

Sandra asks…

Hypothyroidism and pregnancy/post pregnancy?

I just wanted to ask if anyone else out there who is pregnant has hypothyroidism and how much weight they have gained? I’ll be 24 weeks on Thursday, and thus far I have only gained 6 lbs. I wasn’t really overweight to begin with. I have done pretty good, eating good and exercising, but I’m scared that within the next 16 weeks or so of my pregnancy I’m gonna blow up like a whale and never be able to get the weight off since I have this condition.

Has anyone else with this condition had a really hard time taking off the pregnancy weight they put on? If so, how long did it take you to get it off? I plan on hitting the gym hopefully within 4 weeks of giving birth (assuming that I will be able to have a natural delivery). I know it’s like nearly impossible to lose weight with this stupid thyroid problem but I’m really hoping that with strict proper dieting and exercise I will be able to. Not to mention my boyfriend has a perfect physique, which makes me put more pressure on myself to be his equal! Lol

Thanks guys, sorry for the book I wrote.

Michelle answers:

Make sure you’re consulting a doctor who knows about your condition and what amount of thyroid hormone you’re on, they may alter it if your body is acting weird

John asks…

Second pregnancy, nightmare first birth. Not sure what to do?

I am 3 months pregnant with second child. I and my little girl nearly died in labour 2 years ago, hospital was totally responsible (was induced and went a bit wrong). Now i have to decide whether to have planned c-section or try and go natural. I was under general anastetic for first birth, missed out and had massive depression after. I want to ensure i see my second arrive but not sure i should be having unneccessary surgery? If i opt for natural birth at wonderful local midwife unit and things start going wrong they will rush me to the hospital i had first baby in. (Their care is so bad i’d be better off in a shed). Every mum wants to give birth naturally but it could all go wrong again and i dont want to risk the nightmare of the last time. Should i just book in for the c-section or try and go naturally? (Sorry, i know it’s a bit of a hard one) xx

Michelle answers:

I had a terrible miscarriage last year and had to have a blood transfusion. I got pregnant last Feb. With twins and delivered them after 24 hours of non productive labour by section and another two blood transfusions because I bled out. No one can predict what will happen during labour and delivery. I am sorry you had to go through that. If I were you I would opt for the section. You will see the birth and not have to go through that bloody process of pain but you will have extreme pain for the next six weeks. I couldn’t cough or even go pee by my self. You have a hard time holding your babe but it is worth seeing the birth. You have a choice. Some women don’t ..Go for it. GOOD LUCK!!!! 🙂

Richard asks…

I am now 33 weeks pregnant 43 yrs old with my 5th pregnancy last child was 11 yrs ago.?

Since I was 14 weeks pregnant was told I have low line placenta I am now 33 weeks pregnet and am 2.4 interal off, will I be able to deliver natural. I was also told in my 26 week pregnet the baby is tansverse position, and my doctor has said natural delivery is going to be o.kay. should I be worried about anything?

Michelle answers:

If your doctor isn’t concerned and still says it’s a go then trust in your doctor, if you don’t trust your doctor then you should have found one you did trust before now.

Daniel asks…

I have 2 kid’s one was a c-section and one natural birth but, now Im pregnant with my 3rd child!?

My kids are 1 and 2 year’s old and now that Im pregnant still at close range with my 1 year old Im over weight and I would like to lose weight. How can I lose weight and what type of excercise can I do during pregnancy? My arm’s are my real problem, please help!

Michelle answers:

There’s not much you can do while pregnant. Eat healthy, walk alot, yoga, you could lift small weights to tone up your arms. Be prepared to gain an extra 30 pounds since thats mostly baby and fluids.
