1) when you log into facebook go to the blue menu bar on top of the page

2) move your mouse over “settings”

3) click on “privacy settings”

4) click on “Profile”

5) scroll till you find “wall posts” section

6) Click on “Edit custom settings”

7) when the window pops up look for the bottom area where it says “except these people”

8) start typing in the names and there you go!

What is the best aid for getting into besides FAFSA?

I’m trying to get back into school, but I need assistance. I messed up my FAFSA a few years back when I was in school. Now I’m trying to go back and I’ve been thinking about getting a loan and doing scholarship searches but it’s all confusing to me. Please help.

Michelle answers:

Most loan companies and scholorships will require to file a FAFSA to determine eligability. If you “messed” it up a few years back and then left school, you will be filing an entirely new FAFSA to go back again (if it has been more than 12 months since you previously left school). Private loans do not depend on the FAFSA, but the interest rates are much higher than the federal loans. Any financial aide from the school will require a FAFSA as well. If you have any questions about how to start a new FAFSA, there is online and telephone support numbers on the site to help you out. Call them.

Is it legal to do peoples Fafsa forms with permission?

Hello, so basically I have been doing my Fafsa since I graduated high school. And all my friends and friends of theirs don’t know how or are to lazy to do it themselves but they qualify! I was thinking what if i started a business where I can handle all that for them and get a small percentage. Like 30$ per applicant or a percentage. Please any advice would be great, I’m a struggling college student. who needs some extra cash, I just don’t want to fill out anyones work for them and then end being illegal.

Sure it’s legal BUT it contains so much personal and confidential information that I imagine you won’t find any takers. Think about it — with the information contained in a FAFSA, you could open up credit cards, take out loans, etc. AND because you aren’t a certified CPA or a lawyer, there is no code of ethics to keep you honest.

I think you need another way to earn cash.

Fafsa verification does the school have a way to verify the income tax return I submit was the one I filed?

The school is asking for my income tax return to verify my eligibility against the information on my fafsa. Do they have a way to verify that the income tax form 1040A I give them is a copy of the genuine return I actually filed this year?

Should i send CSS profile to a college if i couldnt send them the fafsa?

I applied to the university of michigan. I have already filed my fafsa and it only let me send it to 10 schools. I couldnt fit university of michigan. Should i bother to spend money and send them my css profile? Please help!

If you are really interested in attending the University of Michigan and hope to be awarded Federal grant money and/or be offered a Federal student loan, you must understand that you need to choose to remove one of the other 10 Federal school codes on the FAFSA and then add the Fed. School code for the Univ. Of Mich. To that application.

Are you applying to/have you applied to the Univ. Of Michigan plus 10 other schools? If so, I hope you realize you probably will have to pay for those 11 applications. Many universities require application fees to be paid. I see the Univ. Of Michigan application fee is $65.

The Univ. Of Michigan asks applicants to submit the CSS Profile if they wish to be considered for need-based University grants and scholarships (money from university funds, which is different from Federal student aid funds.)

If you are truly interested in the Univ. Of Michigan as a school, and if you are truly interested in trying to be awarded as much money in financial aid as possible, then you will need to have the FAFSA information sent to the univ. Financial aid office AND have the CSS Profile sent there, too.

The deadlines for submitting both the FAFSA and the CSS Profile to the Univ. Of Mich. Is April 30.

If you are married now & filling out FAFSA, then you must include your income with his income.. Even though you weren’t married in 2011

If my brother owes money to FAFSA, will it affect me when I apply? He is already 29, I’m 19.

Not at all. Each individual has their own financial aid record. Each year you will fill out the FAFSA and based on that the the rules of financial aid you will get the aid you qualify for. You will need to keep up your grades, keep up the required amount of credits and all the other rules that apply to continuing to receive federal aid.

When is it okay to withdraw from a class and not affect my fafsa?

If I withdraw from my class 2-3 days before the deadline to withdraw would that affect my fafsa. My fafsa already messed up with my probation(very low gpa) and I can’t return the money I gained from fafsa. I’m just going to withdraw that one class, I have 3 other classes that I will still be taking. Would they still charge me for withdrawing even though I tried to take the class completely?

Yes, My advice drop the class on the last day to drop to reduce the percentage.

“Students that receive all W’s and/OR F’s in their spring 2010 classes will owe a percentage of their pell back to the federal government. Providing proof will of last day attendance in classes (from your instructor) may decrease or eliminate what you owe.”

Depends of how many classes your taking and attendance. For example, you are taking four classes and one of them you are 0% absent from that class. You drop the class. The schools gives your grades to the Feds. Feds will send you a letter saying that you owe 25% percent of the pell grant and must pay it 6 months from the date of letter issued.

I am planning on going back to school so a applied for fafsa and i have a efc score of 693 but i have a bachelors degree from another country, how will this affect my eligibility for pell grant?

FAFSA is the free application for federal student aid.
The EFC is the expected family contribution, in US dollars.
Your eligibility for Pell is very good as far as income is concerned. If you are a US citizen, you are good to proceed. Apply to the school for financial aid.

In Food Network‘s television show, Cupcake Wars, two people create thousand cupcake displays. Since they choose only one winner, I was just curious as to what they do with the other thousand cupcakes?

I would hope they would donate them to a homeless shelter or some other charity …. But most likely they throw them away. I noticed that a lot of those shows seem to waste sooo much food. On Cake Boss: Next Great Baker, they make huge wedding cakes only to throw them off buildings or steam roll them.

The La Caja China, it’s a wood box lined with metal, and then you put the pig inside, and then the coals on top. Cooks a whole pig, on the bone, in about 3 hours. I have been wanting one since i’ve seen it. The Caribbean Microwave, I heard it called that too.

How did facebook become so much more popular than Myspace?

Myspace has everything facebook has and more, like you can change your background on your home and profiles pages, facebook is just plain white

Myspace was mostly popular in the USA and still is, although not anywhere near the scope of Facebook.
Facebook become popular because it had a very good marketing plan, it become the rave at universities around the world, and when it went mainstream there was already so much buzz around it that it was impossible for it not to succeed.

As for the features… They really don’t mean anything, the core features are present on both interfaces, and the reason Facebook is so much more pleasing is because it has a very simple layout that anyone including an 80 year old can use.

You log onto facebook, and go to your photos, click on an existing album, and click upload photo, and upload the picture into that album

What happens if you have a facebook and you eventually die, what happens to my facebook page?

If you are dead and had a Facebook what happens to it? does it erase itself permanently or what simply happens?

I highly doubt anyone would do anything about it…. Because I mean…. It’s just a Facebook page… If they wanted to make a Appreciation page or something like that about you then they could just create a private group and do so like that.

The only other way is to prove to facebook that you had died and allow someone in the family to have his log in info and create a group in his name… Or something like that.

Anyway, the point is, I highly doubt anyone would care much someone’s facebook account…. Well… Perhaps they could just keep it so people could comment in the comment section.

How do I access my Facebook account?

When I try to open my Facebook account on my i-pad, my daughter’s name comes up, and I do not see a way to enter my own name or e-mail. When I go to my PC and open facebook login, my husband’s account appears. Again, I see no option to enter my own e-mail to go to my account. What do I do?

In the top right corner of Facebook theres a downwards pointing arrow. Click it and it’ll show a drop-down menu with an option to log out. Once you log out you’ll have the option to login with your account

why does internet explorer repeatedly open sometimes after I leave facebook?

Occasionally when I close the browser after being on facebook the login page opens up repeatedly. It’s annoying and doesn’t happen with any other site.

A lot of times when on facebook & ur going from this or that & loading video’s & stopping that one & going t another, the explorer is still loading the other one,u just stopped, set ur internet explorer to delete temp files at close

When you go on the facebook login page. It has saved every email used on facebook. For instants when you type the first letter in it automatically pops up. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I’m using google chrome.Thanks 🙂

USING chrome hmmm top left hand corner u see a spaner press on it pops down there ul see TOOL>>CLEAN BROWSING DATA…..TICK CLEAN BROWSING HISTORY, …..UNDER THE HOOD…..tick all of them u wont to clean. Peace-out)) ps i find everytime i log of my computer ive to clean it all the time as it doesnt do it even tho i have the CLEAN DATE….little glitch on my chrome…..i find as well when im on FB>>Account>>Account settings>>Account security<<press on it IT pops down there i find chromes IP-Address, tht shouldnt be there isnt bothering my computer but if i see it on my security in FB i always END the IP-Adress…..hope this helps :)))))

Is it possible to have shipments sent to FedEx locations instead of your home?

My uncle is mailing me a package through Fed Ex but I don’t want it delivered to my house, I would rather pick it up at a FedEx location near my house. Is this possible? Does he have to select an option like “hold at location’ or ‘will call’? Or can I just call Fed Ex once it ships and tell them my tracking number? (For this, do I call 1-800-GoFedEx or do I have to find the location hear my house and call them to request them to hold it for pickup?

All of the above, it’s best (and cheapest) to have it sent to the local fedex station to begin with, if you have the tracking number you can also request (online if I remember right) to hold at the local station.
Sending it to the local station also save the $3 residential delivery fee.
If it has already been sent they may tag you with a address change fee.

You normally need to have a picture ID to pick up something at a FedEx station.

What is the difference between FedEx and UPS?

And what does FedEx stand for? What does UPS stand for? Which one is better?

Michelle answers:

FedEx is the name of the company. It used to be Federal Express.

UPS used to be United Parcel Service.

Which one is “better” depends on what you’re shipping, and from where/to where. They’re both pretty reliable and their prices are fairly comparable.

If I miss my package , is FedEx supposed to leave a notification on my mailbox or door?

I am currently waiting on my phone to arrive and FedEx is delivering it . I dont know if it came yet because when my brother was here he said it didnt , but he left and I was at school and no one was home for a good 3 hours . I got no notification on my door or mailbox . So does that mean its still on its way ?

Hi,

They are supposed to leave a notification and generally do. You can also check the tracking information to see if you missed the delivery.

Keep in mind that FedEx Ground and Home Delivery are actually independent contractors, so they will not follow the rules 100% of the time. With FedEx Express you can be reasonably certain that they will leave a notification every time.

What happens if you aren’t home to receive a package from fedex?

If you aren’t home at the time fedex delivers what do they do with your package?

If its nothing that has to be signed for they leave it by the door. U p s
does this also. When fedex delivers to me they don’t even wait for you to come to the door they just ring the door bell, and leave the package. If its something that you have to sign for, they will try again
the next day or you will have to go get it.

I have been using firefox for a few years on my PC. I would like to sync all my firefox bookmarks on my PC to safari on my mac. How do i do this?

Firefox apparently hid their Bookmark Import/Export options too well. I found this directions to export bookmarks from Firefox

I have Firefox 14.0.1 installed on my MBP, and my update to Step 2 of the directions is to click the rightmost icon at top-left (looks like a star with a square containing a lighting bolt in front) and the drop down shows “Export Bookmarks to HTLM”.

In Safari use FILE>Import Bookmarks, then select the html file you saved.

If you want to get it there, you would most likely want to find the .exe file of Firefox and put it there, not a shortcut because a shortcut takes a minimal amount of space, which doesn’t sound like much taken space, but it can clutter your desktop with a lot of stuff you have on it. If you have a shortcut put in the quick start bar and you delete the shortcut because you feel like it’s taking space on it, then the shortcut of the shortcut will be broken and you won’t be able to use it anymore. Using the .exe files make it organized from having your desktop cluttered with a lot of stuff on it like other shortcuts or documents and folders.

How do I change my default internet browser from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox?

I already have Mozilla Firefox downloaded and installed. I want it to go to it every time a browser is opened.

In Firefox,
Click on Tools at the top,
Then Options,
Then on Advanced in the top right of the window that pops up.
Then click on Check Now near the bottom of that window.

It will ask if you want to set it as default.
Choose yes.

That should do it.

How to make firefox and google history erase automatically. I know how to do it manually, but sometimes it is so annoying Thanks.

To remove the history automatically just check the option:
“Always clear my private data when I close Firefox”
from Firefox Mozilla->Tools->Option->Privacy tab
and then history will be automatically clear whenever you close the firefox and here you can also select what you want to remove automatically like: password, temp files, search items etc

Forever 21 only offers exchange or store credit for returns. They should have told you the return policy, employees can get in trouble for not letting you know.

I don’t have a problem with forever 21 just there shipping company, United Business Express! I thought it was priority international, and right now I don’t feel prioritized over any other shipping method. Apparently p it takes 24 hours for there tracking page to update, my package was suppose to arrive in Sydney at 6:30am (local time) it’s now 1:29pm.. Still says that my package is scheduled to arrive in Sydney at 6:39AM,. I don’t even know where it is because I have to wait so long for it to update itself:.By the time it’s on its way to Brisbane, I will only just be learning that it made its Sydney’. WTF forever 21 and UBxpress get your *** together.. I could have used my “myus” account and paid $10 more shipping and it would have been here yesterday?.

This is a highly internal matter to your specific company. You need to contact the main corporate headquarters in Los Angeles and ask to speak with Human Resources on how to proceed. You can call using a borrowed phone if you want to avoid being identified.

Where can I find good resources to help my son?

He is in first grade and is struggling in math and language arts (reading) and a lot of trouble with letter sounds,especially vowels. Math is his biggest struggle. I can afford a tutor and his school has NO resources. Does any one know of any internet sites or free resources to help him?

All I can tell you is try to google something like “free grade 1 tutoring resources” and I’m sure you’ll be able to find a couple of things. Looks like you’ll have to be his tutor so just try to find ways to get him interested in the subjects. I wish I could help more because I love math and encouraging kids to learn more, but I really know nothing about how to teach children, especially of that age.
My next door neighbour has her son who is in grade 1 seeing a tutor so maybe I’ll go by today and ask her if she knows of any other resources or the techniques they use. If I get any information, I will let you know.

Additional information:
So I just got back from my neighbours and am sad to say that her son is doing very bad in school. Mainly he is acting out a lot, I think as a result of the fact that he has no patience and makes no effort or has no desire to learn.
Hopefully your son is still interested in learning and respects his teachers and fellow students, because then I think you’ll have an easier time teaching him. I was thinking about it more and I think you need to find a way to take what he enjoys and show him how even using that can help him learn. Like if he likes video games I know there are lots of educational ones out there. I just found this website in a search http://www.funbrain.com/ that looks like it would have lots of fun yet educational games for a child your sons age to play (I’m sure there are plenty more websites as well).
Also, I have heard a good suggestion to help with the reading is to label everything in the house with a piece of paper that has the name of that object on it. For example, stick the word “door” to all the doors and “table” to the table. Your son already knows these words, so he will know how to pronounce them, then by seeing them spelled out it can help him learn the sounds that each letter makes.
Good luck and hopefully your son will catch up to the rest of his classmates soon. Just help him see how much fun learning can be. The skills he learns now will be the basis of the rest of his learning, so it’s best if he enjoys it fully.
