Your Questions About Firefox

Lizzie asks…

Why does Firefox take so long to open my start-page?

When I start Firefox it takes at least 3 or 4 seconds for it opens my start-page (google). Firefox itself starts fairly quickly, but then it takes about 3 seconds to open the start-page.

When I use Chrome or IE the start-page shows immediately.

I use Firefox 15.0.1 and Windows 7 x64.

Michelle answers:

The start up to your home page would depend on how many add-ons you have installed on Firefox and if they are all up to date as it checks all these first.

Robert asks…

How can I move my Firefox bookmarks to another laptop?

I have a new laptop and I want to add all my Firefox bookmarked pages from my last previous laptop,in the same way that I could just copy the favourites folder for IE.I have tried to copy them but can’t seem to make it work, can anyone help me out?

Michelle answers:

The easiest way is to install the Xmarks Firefox addon in Firefox on your old laptop. Follow the setup instructions and synchronise your bookmarks. Then install the addon in Firefox on your new laptop. Sign in to the account you created and synchronise. All you bookmarks will then be installed on your new laptop.
Using Xmarks means that you never have to worry about losing your bookmarks. There’s also an Xmarks plug in for Internet Explorer.

George asks…

How do i change the destination of downloads in Firefox?

When using Firefox, files get automatically downloaded to your desktop. Is there any way to change the place it gets saved to?

Michelle answers:

At first open your firefox browser then go to
Tools>>Options>>Main>>

There you can see download option

Choose “Always ask me where to save file”

Thanks.

Chris asks…

Why does pac man music play when I start firefox?

I started firefox and pacman music started playing and continues as long as firefox is running. It doesn’t happen with internet explorer.

Michelle answers:

Today Google is promoting the 30th anniversary of the Pacman Game. The music and game are on the Google home page.

I bet one Firefox browser is set to open the Google home page and Internet Explorer is not.

Your Questions About Facebook Login

George asks…

how do i delete my email and password off my facebook login screen on my phone?

like on my phone when i go to my web browser and click facebook my email and password is already there how do i take that off?

Michelle answers:

Depending on the phone you have, you could delete the cookies/history. Then, in the future, don’t leave the “Keep me logged in” checked off….

William asks…

How can I still log-on to Facebook, if the site itself doesn’t allow proxy sign-ins?

Does the fact that Java scripts are disabled a big factor for the log-in failure? Does Facebook have a simple, HTML site that still allows users to access the page despite security measures?

Michelle answers:

I do believe Facebook login uses JavaScript. When browsing through a proxy, uncheck the ‘Remove Scripts’ box and then try again. If you can, find a site that uses Glype proxy with the Facebook plug-in.

James asks…

How to prevent people from hacking into your FaceBook?

Ok, so ALOT of people are hacking into people’s Facebook and putting inappropriate stuff on there. I REALLY don’t want that to happen to me. Is there any tips to help me prevent hackers? Thanks! 😀

Michelle answers:

If your Facebook account is hacked, it could lead to many other issues. The hacker may send unwanted or inappropriate messages to your Facebook friends or post unwanted messages on your Wall. He could also change or add information or photos you may not want on your account. In some cases, the hacker will actually change your password, locking you out from your own account and taking it over. To prevent this happening to you, take extra steps to make sure your Facebook account is secure.

Facebook Login EmailFacebook Log In Password
When choosing your password, select a strong password that can’t easily be guessed. Choose a password that’s at least eight characters long, and try to mix numbers and letters. Passwords that aren’t actual words, but instead are meaningless mixes of characters work best — just make sure it’s one you can remember. Don’t write your password down anywhere or store it in your phone or computer. Don’t use the same password you use for any other account, and change your password often. Type your password into the home page, but nowhere else. Facebook will only ask for your password when you log in to Facebook, but not any other time during your session.

Clicking Links
Don’t click any link you aren’t sure of, no matter where it came from. Links in messages, chat messages or your news feed may be a hacker’s way of phishing for your information, and one click may be all he needs to gain access to your account. If you see a link that you aren’t too sure of, ask your friend about it before you click. He may verify the link, or confirm your suspicions that the link is bad. Also, log on to Facebook by typing the website into your browser. Don’t click links in emails that say they are from Facebook, even if the email looks legitimate.

Secure Browser
Facebook offers a secure browser version, meaning if you opt to use this feature, other users cannot monitor your activity while you’re logged on to the site. To turn secure browsing on, click “Account” at the top-right of your screen, followed by “Account Settings.” Scroll down the list until you find “Account Security” and click “Change.” Make sure the box next to to “Secure Browsing” is checked, then click “Save.” You know you’re on a secure browser when the URL of the website begins with “https” so check this often while on Facebook to ensure you are still secure.

Your Computer
Some precautions you can take begin with your own computer. Make sure you are using the newest available version of your web browser and that you are running security software whenever you are on Facebook.

Chris asks…

I want to delete my son’s email username from my facebook login page. How do I do it?

My son’s email address keeps coming up whenever I type in the first letter of it on my facebook login page where it asks for email or phone. I’d like to get rid of it so it doesn’t come up anymore, but just highlighting it and pressing delete hasn’t done any good. Any suggestions? I use Chrome btw.

Michelle answers:

Try this:

Go to Settings>Advanced Settings>Clear browsing data and then check the “Clear saved Autofill form data” box. Then go ahead and click on the Clear browsing data button.

You’ll also lose autofill data that you actually want but that’s how it goes.

Your Questions About Fafsa

Maria asks…

Is there a place I can get a printable version of the FAFSA?

My grandmother will help me with the FAFSA, but she will only help me with hard copy, she can’t help with computers.

Michelle answers:

Here it is:
http://studentaid.ed.gov/students/attachments/siteresources/color_English_fafsa_2010-2011.pdf

Sandy asks…

I start school again today, Is it to late for FAFSA?

I start school today and for unexplained details I wasn’t able to submit an application until today. On the FAFSA website it says for initial awards, applications must be submitted by March 2nd and for additional community college awards, It has to be by September the 2nd. Will the government still pay for my classes even though I submitted the application today as well as give me a small bonus for supplies?

Michelle answers:

For the school year that begins in the fall, applications for financial aid through FAFSA are intended to be applied for beginning in January throught March of the same year – that would make you 5 months LATE (Sept. Is the cutoff for those “starting” school in the Spring 2011 semester)………. Chances are, being as you’re so late, you will not receive it in time.

Rather poor planning on your part.

Ruth asks…

When do I have to compete the FAFSA federal aid application?

I’m a senior in high school and you can say I’m a little confused on what to do for college. I’m planning on applying for a school for the Fall 2008 semester and I was wondering when is the best time to complete a FAFSA application. Should I do it now since school application deadlines are next January and February?

Michelle answers:

The FAFSA won’t be available until after January 1, 2008. It will ask for income information for both you and your parent(s). While you can estimate your tax information and complete the FAFSA before filing taxes, you may later have to verify to the school that the information you submitted is indeed correct.

Your school may also have an in-house application(s) that you have to complete, so make sure and see if this applies to you, and if so when it is available (these are usually available in October/November).

Most schools have an “on-time” or “priority” deadline sometime in the spring (March/April). Check with your school to see when this is. Even though the FAFSA can be filled out as early as January 1, 2008, you don’t really have to have it completed until the school’s deadline, so you have time.

Check with a financial aid officer at the school(s) you will be applying to for more information/guidance. Good luck!

Michael asks…

Can you switch fafsa info once your application has been approved?

‘m attending college in the fall.
If you’ve already registered your fafsa to one school, can you switch schools?
I have mine registered to mott and I want to know if i can switch it to baker if its already been approved.

Michelle answers:

I am pretty sure you can cuz most people turn their fafsa inn before accepting any schools. After you submit your fafsa you do have the option of making corrections or changes. So i would do that first. If you cant do that, call the financial aid of the school you want to attend and i am sure they can help you out.

Your Questions About Fox 23

Thomas asks…

Why does one find corporate interests so often intertwined with conservative causes?

Example ; Tea parties (Heritage foundation, Fox News, and other assorted lobbyits)

Michelle answers:

The division of society is along class lines. The right-wing is the wealthy-elite while the left-wing is labor. Those terms have their origin in the era of the French Revolution. This can be easily understood as the wealthy capitalists (right-wing) get richer and richer when the working class (left-wing) toils harder and harder for less and less, when good-paying jobs are offshored to cheap-labor locations, when benefits are slashed or eliminated, when corporations that are “too big to fail” receive trillions of bailout dollars, when public funds are used to wage imperialist war abroad.

While the Republican Party might be considered the more aggressive pursuer of the interests of the super-rich, the entire, hated Bush agenda would have been impossible without the complicity of the Democrats. The right-wing has two political parties in America while the working class remains without representation.

Six months of the Obama administration
21 July 2009
World Socialist Web Site
http://www.wsws.org/articles/2009/jul2009/pers-j21.shtml

Excerpt:

The direction of the administration on military policy was signaled early on. On January 23, three days after his inauguration, Obama ordered missile strikes by unmanned Predator drones on a location inside Pakistan, killing 18 people. With this initial blood on his hands, Obama proceeded apace.

The war in Afghanistan is now definitively “Obama’s war.” Under his watch, the US has set in motion a doubling of its forces, from 32,000 to 68,000, and is presently carrying out a major operation to wipe out popular opposition in the south

On domestic policy, Obama’s overriding concern has been to defend the wealth of the most powerful sections of the corporate and financial elite. Through cash injections, subsidies and loan programs, trillions have been handed out to the banks and financial institutions, with no strings attached. The administration has opposed any real constraints on executive pay or bonuses.

On all essentials, the Obama administration has continued the antidemocratic policies of its predecessor. It has invoked “state secrets” to block court cases challenging torture and domestic spying. The administration reversed a promise to release photos showing US torture of detainees. It has continued the military tribunals and indicated it plans to adopt a policy of indefinite detention for prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.

Obama has repeatedly insisted that there will be no prosecution of any of the crimes carried out by the Bush administration. This means no one will be held accountable and that the crimes will continue.

Susan asks…

How do you feel about the media bailout?

How much money is wasted in political spending negative ads and the like I miss my commercials the that talk about virga and tampons

Michelle answers:

We know who the media intends to “bailout.”

Democrats will deny that the major media is supports them, but the facts make their denials laughable:
Polls on how Americans saw the mainstream media (TV and print) election coverage in 2008:
-Rasmussen poll: 69% for Obama, 6% for McCain
-Pew Research poll: 67% for Obama, 11% for McCain
-Sacred Heart University poll: 68% for Obama, 9% for McCain
-Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll: 67% for Obama, 11% for McCain

University of Connecticut’s Department of Public Policy survey of journalists, nationwide, during the 2008 election: 52% supported Obama versus 19% for McCain.

9/2009 Sacred Heart University Polling Institute: 69.9% agreed the national news media are intent on promoting the Obama presidency while 26.5% disagreed.

9/23/10 Pew Research poll: 43% of those who perceive bias say it is liberal; 23% say they see conservative bias.

9/29/10 Gallup poll: Distrust of the media Edges Up to Record High
Perceptions of liberal bias still far outnumber perceptions of conservative bias: 48% say the media are too liberal; 15% say they are too conservative.

9/22/11 Gallup poll: 60% perceive bias, with 47% saying the media are too liberal and 13% saying they are too conservative.

8/15/12 Rasmussen Poll: 59% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Obama has received the best treatment from the media so far; 18% think his Republican challenger has been treated better.

8/25/12 New York Times: Arthur Brisbane wrote:
“Across the paper’s many departments, though, so many share a kind of political and cultural progressivism — for lack of a better term — that this worldview virtually bleeds through the fabric of The Times.”
“As a result, developments like the Occupy movement and gay marriage seem almost to erupt in The Times, overloved and undermanaged, more like causes than news subjects.”

Who the New York Times endorsed for president, since 1960:
1960 Kennedy; 1964 Johnson;1968 Humphrey; 1972 McGovern; 1976 Carter; 1980 Carter; 1984 Mondale; 1988 Dukakis; 1992 Clinton; 1996 Clinton; 2000 Gore; 2004 Kerry; 2008 Obama. ALL DEMOCRATS.

9/21/12 http://cnsnews.com/news/article/gallup-only-8-americans-have-great-deal-trust-news-media-new-low:
Gallup: Only 8% of Americans Have ‘Great Deal’ of Trust in News Media–a New Low

Evidence of collusion between democrats and CNN during the presidential debate of 10/16/12:

-10/17/12 http://www.politico.com/politico44/2012/10/obama-gots-more-time-138699.html: CNN says Obama got 9% more speaking time [194 seconds].
-2/3/11 http://money.cnn.com/2011/02/03/news/companies/super_bowl_ads/index.htm: Fox Network charges up to $100,000 a second for big sports events.
[In other words, CNN gave Obama $19,400,000 worth of free campaign time — $100,000/second times 194 seconds]

The pro-democrat media has ten times more viewers than pro-Republican Fox News:
5/25/11 huffingtonpost.com: NBC Nightly News averaged 9.469 million viewers, ABC’s World News 8.380 million; CBS Evening News 6.204 million; among cable networks, Fox News 2.556 million. And those figures don’t include the democrat shills MSNBC and CNN.

Charles asks…

Why did the US leave Afghanistan and invade Iraq?

I’ve got a breif idea of what went on, but why did america just leave Afghanistan?
Did they think there job was over in Afghanistan just because the ousted the Taliban from power?
Also what happened in Afghanistan after the Taliban fell and the US left?

Michelle answers:

Answer for Iraq. Fox news, Biased Websites(like WMDS is a lie), CNN, MSNBC, international media are sensationalist news nowadays you should not take info from. After Gulf War 1, as part of the CEASE FIRE, the UN passed 22 resolutions which AUTHORIZED continued MILITARY ACTION against Iraq for failure to comply. Iraq FAILED to comply with 18 of the 22 which AUTHORIZED continued military action. The invasion was a continuance and conclusion of Gulf War 1 and was FULLY AUTHORIZED by the UN. For what? Kicking out UN inspectors for WMDs many times. He also fired our aircrafts in no-fly-zones many times in the 90s. And just so you know…the UN is NOT a legal body and no one is obliged to ask for or obey any directive from the UN. The UN has NEVER said the war in Iraq was ILLEGAL by UN standards. The reason we never go in to take Hussein down in the 90s was because that several countries(France, Germany, Russia) had economic relationships with Iraq. That’s why UN voted not to invade Iraq. Those countries wanted their money except USA which have no economic ties to Iraq. After 9/11 we informed the WMDs and in 2003, we went into Iraq and caught Saddam Hussein. So we finally did something that should have been taken care of long time ago.

We have not found massive stockpiles of WMD but enough has been found to be a concern. To say that “WMDS was a lie” is blatantly false:

* On June 23, 2004, U.S. Forces seized 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium at a nuclear facility in Iraq. This is the type of fuel that can be used to make nuclear weapons. It was also reported by the BBC (a frequent critic of the war) that the U.S. Department of Energy removed over a thousand “powdered” radioactive sources. These could be used to make a very effective dirty bomb.

* Polish troops in Iraq, upon receiving intelligence that insurgents in their sector were buying WMD, bought 17 chemical weapon warheads for $5,000 each from Iraqis to keep them from the insurgents. Tests confirmed that these warheads contained cyclosarin which is five to 10 times more effective (read deadly) than the sarin used on the Tokyo subway attack. Also, all munitions containing cyclosarin were reported destroyed by U.N. Enforcers between 1991 and 1998. Apparently not.

* On Aug. 8, 2005, U.S. Soldiers raided a warehouse in Mosul, Iraq, and found 1,500 gallons of chemical agents.

* On May 17, 2004, a U.S. Convoy was attacked by a roadside bomb that was found to be an improvised device made from an artillery shell containing the nerve agent sarin.

* A similar device was found the same month that contained the blister agent mustard.

I could go on but all of this and the UNSCOM (U.N. Inspectors of the ’90s) reports that could not account for some 6,500 chemical munitions and tons of biological growth media and anthrax cultures as well as evidence that Iraq was making fresh chemical munitions as late as 1998 leaves me flabbergasted at the continued myth that Iraq “had no weapons of mass destruction.” Two things can off my mind

1. Iraq DID and had WMD.

2. They can pose a very significant and deadly threat in even small and big amounts

About Afghanistan, the reason we invaded because Taliban is stationed there. We didn’t leave Afghanistan left. But we are leaving by end of 2011 because we can’t afford anymore deaths. We are training Afghan troops to fend off Taliban for themselves. It was been 9 years and we still haven’t found Bin Laden. So it’s better we pull out rather than having our troops slaughtered there for nothing.

Carol asks…

Major League Baseball – Is there a schedule for the 2008 World Series showing which dates in NL or AL cities?

I’m optimistic about my team, and I want to schedule a hotel at the time of the Series. Is there a schedule that shows when the Series will be in NL or AL cities? Thanks in advance.

Michelle answers:

If Fox mucks up the schedule like last year, it’ll start on a Wednesday, probably Oct. 22.

The All-Star Game decision will determine which league gets home field for Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 (if necessary).

The schedule should (but might not! Never trust Fox) go:
Game 1 – Wed 10/22, first city
Game 2 – Thur 10/23, first city
Game 3 – Sat 10/25, second city
Game 4 – Sun 10/26, second city
Game 5 – Mon 10/27, second city
Game 6 – Wed 10/29, first city
Game 7 – Thur 10/30, first city

Call your preferred hotels and ask if you can make a reservation as long as it can be canceled on 72 hours notice (this is pretty standard) — but you may as wait until after the ASG (July 15).

Your Questions About Facebook

Sharon asks…

How do I create a Facebook group with my new Facebook account?

I made a new Facebook account recently today and where it should say ‘Create Group’ Its doesn’t show it anywhere on home? Suggestions anyone?

Michelle answers:

Go here http://facebook.com/groups you’ll find it

Richard asks…

How do you unblock someone from writing on your Facebook wall?

I blocked people from writing on my wall on Facebook. They updated Facebook and I went on my privacy settings to unblock them and I can’t figure out how. Please help! Thank you!

Michelle answers:

Guess what?

After Facebook released their new privacy settings last week, apparently you don’t have to.

Now, anybody on your friends list can VIEW and POST/COMMENT on your wall regardless of if you had restricted them in the past. So there’s actually nothing more for you to do.

Unfortunately a lot of people liked having that option to restrict certain friends from their wall, however that option is now gone.

Thanks Facebook. I closed my account yesterday and moved to Google+.

Sorry

Susan asks…

What exactly are the roles for the new types of Facebook Admins?

Facebook Pages can now add multiple admins with different roles, but what exactly are the differences?

Michelle answers:

Facebook introduced 5 new roles a user can have to administer a Facebook Brand Page:

– Manager,
– Content Creator,
– Moderator
– Advertiser,
– Insights Analyst

See here a full list of the roles and what each of these roles can access and do:

Your Questions About Fox News

Mandy asks…

When will Miss California start her career as a FOX news anchor?

C’mon admit it, she’s the COMPLETE fox news package: Beautiful, long legs, fills out a bikini well. What more could they ask for? Denied her birthright to the Miss USA crown that’s what! She’s a natural for FOX! When will her new career start?

Michelle answers:

After she has a night with Hannity.

Helen asks…

Is Fox News a part of the conservative base, or is this a misconception by liberals?

Fox News catches a lot of wrath from liberals. Fox seems slightly right of center, whereas its competition (CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS) seem considerably more left of center. Is it possible that any kind
dissenting opinion, however minor, is unwelcome to those on the left? Why is there so much anger towards Fox from those on the left?

Michelle answers:

Fox is slightly right, there’s no doubt. But no other networks are right leaning at all, so Fox does a pretty good job of providing another option for those of us who feel left out with all the liberal coverage.

Richard asks…

Why are liberals the only ones who seem to watch fox news?

In this section theyre always watching and asking questions about fox news.. But from what I’ve seen, theyre the only ones who actually watch it. Is that why theyre so uninformed?

Michelle answers:

I know people, in real life, who are faithful FOX news viewers. Most of them like the pundits.

I have only seen FOX when I am a captive audience; getting my oil changed; at the doctor’s office etc. I have never watched MSNBC only have only watched CNN Headline News.

David asks…

What about the question on Fox News? Are Progressism and Liberalism the same? ?

If they are, I guess Fox News really showed their true colors of being a Conservative station. I was a Republican my whole lif, BUT by this stupid question– and just from this idiotic question and if it finds to hold true: shouldn’t we all be liberals then? My God- I am a teacher and do we not all want to see progress in the classroom?– Now relate that to today’s question. We all are going to enjoy this President!

Michelle answers:

Believe it or not, there appears to be a moderate difference between the two. Progressivism is referred to jokingly as being the left wing of the left wing party.

I learned about this amusing distinction the first time I responded to a Zogby poll. When asked about my political persuasion, the choices were: 1)Conservative, 2)Moderate, 3)Liberal, 4)Progressive.

Trouble is, Progressive is associated with extremism because it’s at the far end of the scale. I’m proud to call myself progressive because my views are liberal but I make an earnest effort to be tolerant and respectful of people who don’t share my point of view.

Extremists all seem to be angry, narrow-minded and disrespectful, be they liberals, conservatives, Christians, Jews or even Atheists!

In the end, it’s all a matter of semantics to Fox News. To them, anyone who truly respects freedom to choose is a left-leaning, liberal, Communist pinko extremist. I’m sure we can count on the Right Wing of the Right Wing party to scheme and manufacture some kind of Monica Lewinsky to bring Obama down.

To your question–the rich and powerful don’t want to see progress in the classroom. Kids might grow up to be intelligent adults who would demand transparency and accountability. For the robber barons who are stealing us blind, that’s too scary to think about it. They much prefer a nation of sheep.

Your Questions About Fedex

Jenny asks…

Is it safe to walk from the Radisson hotel in Largo to FedEx field?

I’m getting a hotel for the game tomorrow night at the Radisson which is a couple miles away from FedEx Field. I’m just wondering if it’s safe to walk there and back to the game or if that’s a bad area. I don’t know the area at all and I don’t have a parking permit/don’t know what the best way to get to the stadium is. Thanks.

Michelle answers:

I even received a VM from a person calling me a loser I couldn’t understand where all the animosity hostily coming from I walked or vespaded everywhere

So you should be ok

James asks…

what kind of questions are on the basic skills test to get hired for FedEx?

My boyfriend is going to take the basic skills test to be a FedEx courier. We’d like to know what kind of questions are on the test, so he can maybe study ahead of time to improve his chances of doing well on the test. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Michelle answers:

Fed Ex sucks, I worked for them.

Helen asks…

What kinds of FedEx planes does USPS use?

I need to know that, since USPS rents out space on FedEx planes, how much do they use, and which planes do they use?

Thank you!

Michelle answers:

USPS doesn’t “rent space” on fedex aircraft. A contract was won by fedex to carry usps packages. From Major markets(larger cities) Fedex operates 2 flights a day to at least 1 of their hubs. The overnight flight which is primarily used for overnight packages a very minimal amount of space is used for usps. However on the dayturn(morning flight) about 80% of the cargo is in fact usps cargo. Usps cargo isn’t moved by different planes, it’s moved by the planes that have already been assigned to each particular market. Fedex uses Airbus A300, A310. Boeing 727, 757, and 777. Mcdonnell douglas DC10 And MD11

Sandy asks…

If I have a prepaid shipping label for fedex will they charge me for a box?

I have a prepaid label, but no box for my items. If I go to a FedEx drop off location, will I be charged for a box?

Michelle answers:

If your prepaid label is for the Air division then you can use the white Fedex boxes without a fee. Otherwise you’ll need to acquire a box. Stores will often give you boxes free.

Your Questions About Fedex

George asks…

what should i major in college to own a business like UPS or fedex?

I want to own a businees like ups or fedex, but i dont know what to major. I know there is a specific major, but i cant think of it. If you tell me the major, it will be greatly appreciated!

Michelle answers:

I think it is something like Business Administration…..

David asks…

How long will it take for a package to go from Brooklyn, NY to Lebanon, NH using FedEx Express Saver?

Ordered a cell phone from Brooklyn, NY – I’m in Lebanon, NH and the shipper chose FedEx Express Saver; how long will the package take to reach me? Also, if it arrives on Saturday at the local FedEx facility can I go down and pick it up?

Thanks!

Michelle answers:

You can only pick-up packages on your local FedEx facility if they weren’t able to deliver it… Besides, you should have a tracking number so, you would know when is the ETA…

John asks…

How do I get shipping insurance UPS FedEx?

I’m shipping a couple items across country. Two including 2 guitars valued at $2000 each. I know I’m covered up to $100, but how do I purchase additional insurance? How does this insurance work with these shipping companies?

I used to load boxes for FedEx and know what they are in for. 10 foot drops, burly men throwing them into the back of trucks.
I will be shipping through UPS or FedEx, not the post office.

Michelle answers:

Call up 800 GO FEDEX and inquire there or this link http://www.fedex.com/us/about/insurance/

Mark asks…

What number should I use to track my Nintendo shipment thru Fedex?

I sent my Wii in on Monday and I want to know how to check the status of my shipment through Fedex. What number should I use on the Fedex website?
the only number i get is my nintendo repair number but it doesnt work on fedexs website

Michelle answers:

Did you copy the tracking number of the label on fedex box before you ship?

Your Questions About Food Network

Mary asks…

Was any one watching unwrapped on food network?

I was watching unwrapped on food network a few minutes ago(it’s 2:48pm central time right now) and seen these awesome chocolate chip cookies. I want to order them but I forgot the name of the bakery.

Does anyone know the name of the place? These cookies were big like biscuits, crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. I think it was in New York. They baked them at 550 degrees…
I tried food network and couldnt find it. But the Levain Bakery cookies are the ones I were looking for. Thanks!

Michelle answers:

Is this it?

Or this..

Daniel asks…

When will Andrew Zimmerman eat something he regrets on “Bizarre Food?”?

I’ve been watching this show on the food network and have seen this guy eat some rought stuff. I can’t help but wonder, how long until he pays the price for such folly as eating bats and fried chicken intestines?

Worse yet, in this world of seething anti-Americanism, how long until some enterprising wise-behind feeds him excretement or human flesh under the guise of “our little known national delicacy?”

Michelle answers:

This makes me wish i had a tv right now!
Lul
keeping an open mind is fun 🙂 i’ll try anything once. No matter how repulsive it might sound, as long as it won’t make me sick.

But as far as the anit americanism. When it comes to travel, it’s always really appreciated by the culutre you’re visiting to take an interest in their culture, not just their landmarks.
Speaking a few words of the language and being willing to try their foods are huge steps in the right direction.
How would you feel if someone came to america and refused to try a hamburger and frenchfries because they just wanted gang na paloo loo with fish cheek sauce?
It’d be kind of insulting.
I remember we hosted a girl from italy, and she asked me to take her down to tijuana. While we were there i told her oh you really shoudl try the street tacos!
Well she refused. Then when i got mine and told her she was missing out, she just stared in disgust and said ‘how can you eat that crap!?’ i blew up at her telling her she has no right to judge the food without trying it.
(but she was just weird anyway, mymom is from italy and this girl wouldn’t eat anything we had in the house except lettuce and canned…only canned tuna.)
but still, it wasn’t even my culture, but i was offended that she wouldn’t even try something as simple as pork in a tortilla with some tomato sauce and cilantro.

!Alexiis

James asks…

Why has food become such a popular subject?

Why, in recent years ,has food become such a popular
subject – not only in literature, but on television (e.g., the
Food Network)? Why do Chefs like Gordon Ramsey and
Rachel Ray now have celebrity status?

Michelle answers:

I GUESS PEOPLE ARE GETTING HAPPY AND HAVE A PASSION FOR FOOD ITS WHY SOME GET TOOO FAT!!! LMAO 😀 XD

William asks…

Who is your favorite Food Network host?

For other Food Network enthusiasts like myself, what chef/host on the channel is your favorite to watch, and why?

My favorite is Alton Brown… I love his sense of humor and the way he incorporates science into his show Good Eats.

Michelle answers:

My favorite right now is Paula Deen.
