Your Questions About Forever 21

Paul asks…

How good is the quality of the earrings at Forever 21?

I’m thinking of ordering some online, so I would like to ask those of you who have forever 21 earrings: are they a good deal and quality?
Thank you! =)

Michelle answers:

You get what you pay for, plain and simple

Chris asks…

Can i still return forever 21 clothes if i bought it using a promo code?

so i bought this pair of jeans online at forever 21 i realized that it was too big for me and that i want to return it. The problem is, i found an online promo code and used it to buy the jeans (10% reduced rate) so my question is, will i still be able to return these jeans and get a refund at the reduced rate or are these non refundable

Michelle answers:

Promo codes are generated by site and you can return it.

Lizzie asks…

How do you know what size jean to wear for forever 21?

well i’m shopping online for the jeans and i never tried on the jeans at forever 21 in the store. i’m a size 2 or 3 short and the sizes online are 24,25,26,27,28,29,30. if you know what size please tell. thanks :]

Michelle answers:

Adding 21? O.O No, that does not seem to work. I’m a size 0/1 short and I’m about a size 25/26 at forever 21. I think you would be a size 28, give or take, but you really should try on jeans before you buy them. Size isn’t the only issue, you should also think about if they’re flattering or make your butt look good 🙂 Haha.

George asks…

How old do you have to be to shop at Forever 21?

I was just wondering how old is appropriate to shop at forever 21?

Thanks!

Michelle answers:

There’s really no age limit, but i guess 7th or 8th grade.

Your Questions About Facebook Login

Joseph asks…

How can I get around the Facebook Phone Security Check?

I can’t get on my Facebook profile because of this security check. I have two phones, one that’s really old and the other one doesn’t work. I don’t want to buy a new phone, and I’m sure I can’t borrow one from someone. Is there any other way?
PS. I really need to get onto Facebook as my Aunt is from a different country and we’re using that to meet in another country for our holiday, and I NEED TO GET ON FACEBOOK.

Michelle answers:

Instructions

1
Go to your computer bring up the Facebook login screen like you normally would. Do not fill in any information.

2
Click on the link above your Facebook user name and password that states forgot your password. This brings you to a different screen.

3
Fill in the email address associated or on file with your Facebook account. If you cannot remember, keep trying different email addresses until you do.

4
Click enter and a Facebook reset link will be sent to your email so you can recover your password. It usually takes up to 5 minutes. Check your spam email folder if the email does not appear in your inbox.

5
Click the link in your email and answer any security questions by Facebook. This brings back to the Facebook website.

6
Reset your password with a phrase you will remember mixed in with 1 to 2 numbers or more. Record this in a notebook or on a safe place. Use a different password than you would for your email. This decreases your chances of having both websites compromised.

Robert asks…

How do i get facebook pictures off my blackberry phone contacts?

Helppp.
I don’t want the pictures off Facebook to sync to the contacts.

Michelle answers:

You have to change the setting on the Facebook App.

– Click on your Facebook App and login
– Press the Menu button and select Options
– Unselect Blackberry Contacts Application
– Press the Menu button and select Save

Ken asks…

How to fix my facebook login?

i need help,,on my mobile phone when i try to sign into facebook it tells me my facebook service has been temporarily disconnected that i need to use a desktop to fix it..what if i dont have access to a desktop computer. is there something i can do from my phone

Michelle answers:

Nope. Facebook mobile is but an application. If something goes wrong, you have to go directly to the source. In this case, a computer. So my suggestion to you would be to find one. Maybe in a Library or something.

John asks…

How do you change a facebook password if you dont remember your old password?

Hi can you change your facebook password if you dont know remember your old password? thanks in advance

Michelle answers:

If you forgot your password you can click on the Forgot your password? Link on the Facebook login page. Most likely it will ask for your email and they will email you a new password or something like that. Also they may ask you to answer security questions that you may have set up when you set up your account. Hope this helps!

Your Questions About Fafsa

Laura asks…

How is FAFSA effected if a student enters 0 rather than 1 exemptions?

How is the FAFSA effected If a 25 year old students files for FAFSA with 0 exemptions rather than 1.
At 25 he is treated as an independent student and does not need to report the parents income just his but he is still living with a parent and being essentially supported by a parent. How does FAFSA see this. The parent benefits claiming the student as a dependent but does this affect the amount FAFSA awards.

Michelle answers:

There is often confusion about this because dependency on the FAFSA is not the same thing as dependency on the tax return. A student who is being supported by his parents can be claimed as a dependent on their tax return, but that doesn’t affect his dependency status on the FAFSA. He can be considered independent on the FAFSA for a reason such as age even though he is considered a dependent for tax purposes.

The number of exemptions you list on the FAFSA does not affect the calculation of the EFC directly, but because it can affect your AGI, (which is included in the EFC calculation) the FA Administrator at your school has to confirm that you filed your return correctly and the AGI is accurate. A person can only be claimed as an exemption on one return, but it is a common mistake for parents to claim a student as a dependent, and then the student claims himself on his own return. Asking you to list the number of exemptions helps FA administrators spot this error, particularly when parent information is required on the FAFSA. For example, if you put down that you claimed 1 exemption, and your FAFSA shows that your parent has a household of 2 and he has 2 exemptions on his return, then the FAA will want to double check to make sure that you weren’t claimed on both returns. As an independent, you won’t have to provide parent information, so the FAA won’t know whether your parent claimed you or not. However, if your FAFSA is selected for verification, the FAA is required to compare the information on the FAFSA to your actual tax return. If you put 0 on one and 1 on the other, he/she will see that and you will be required to correct your FAFSA to match what’s on your return before you can receive any funds.

If you aren’t working and your FAFSA shows that your income is very low, many schools will require you to fill out a form to explain how you were able to support yourself on that amount of money. If you answer that your parents supported you, and your tax return is showing 1 exemption, they will sometimes ask to see the first page of the parents’ return to confirm that you weren’t also claimed by them. I wouldn’t worry to much about how this will affect your awards. If you’re an independent by age, and you’re being supported by parents, your income is probably low enough to qualify for grants anyway, so it really won’t matter.

So, the bottom line is, if you’re being supported by your parents and they claim you as a dependent on their return, your tax return should show that you claimed 0 exemptions, and so should your FAFSA.

Susan asks…

How to send you Fafsa to another college?

I have already finished my fafsa for this year. I applied to a college but didn’t get in. But the good news is I got into a community college so it all worked out. How do I go into my fafsa and send it to the one I got accepted into? Where do I go on the fafsa site?

Michelle answers:

Log in to the FAFSA site. (FAFSA.gov)

In the middle of the next page, there are 3 bullets, and the middle one says, “Make FAFSA corrections”.

Enter or create your PIN and password.

There are tabs at the top of the page, choose “School Selection”.

Click on “Add a School”

David asks…

When should i start filling out my fafsa?

I just finished my junior year and about to go into my senior year. When would be a good time to apply for fafsa? Do I have to wait until after i have been accepted into a college?

Michelle answers:

To maximize the amount offered to you you will want to do yuour FAFSA Jan 1 of the year you will attend or closest to that (not earlier). DO NOT wait for your parents and you to do your taxes. You will do your FAFSA and there is a question about did you and your parents file your taxes, filed, will file, filed. You will chose will file. Complete the FAFSA then submit. This tells them that you are doing your FAFSA as an estimate. Then as soon as your parents and you get your W2 tax forms do the taxes ASAP. Then you will log back onto your FAFSA and there will be a box that says make correction, You will click that and then put in the correct tax answers from the taxes and then resubmit. Colleges are given so much of each type of financial aid, some types are not enough for all that qualify for them. The aid is given by original file date so they will hold it for you if you file early, others who file later it will run out before it gets to them, again only certain types. Http://www.fastweb.com/financial-aid/articles/2958-how-do-i-file-the-fafsa-in-january-when-tax-returns-can-t-be-filed-that-early

Remember you file it at the FAFSA .gov not FAFSA .com site.

Here is the govt site about learning about financial aid. Http://studentaid.ed.gov/

check out these checklist so you you know what to do when: http://studentaid.ed.gov/prepare-for-college/checklists

This comes out every year so look for the one when you attend but you can look at this years one to learn: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sites/default/files/2012-13-funding-your-education.pdf

Another great site: http://www.finaid.org/

Note financial aid is very confusing and stressful but it gets better as do it every year. My daughter is a Jr.

Read this SUPER important: http://school.familyeducation.com/college-prep/high-school/56210.html

At my daughters university interview they asked her what her high school involvement was, if she worked outside of high school, and what her volunteering is.

Do some volunteering like one day a month at least.

Robert asks…

How long does it take the federal government (FAFSA) to send the EFC to schools that were listed?

My son is applying for college, he will start this coming fall 2011. Several of the schools he’s applied to require the financial aid documents to be submitted by early to mid February. I’m trying to decide if I should wait for my W2 form so I can quickly do my taxes, then submit the FAFSA, or estimate and then submit an update when I finally do get my taxes done. Anyone know?

Michelle answers:

I would do your taxes quickly and then submit the FAFSA with the correct information. You can do an estimate and then update later BUT it wont be processed completely without accurate information and you don’t want to be selected for verification delaying the process more.

Your Questions About Firefox

Daniel asks…

How do I prevent firefox from starting up automatically when I open the computer?

Every time when I turn on the computer and log in, firefox opens up to project-7.net. I have no idea how to get rid of this. How do I stop this?

Michelle answers:

There could be a number of reasons why. One of the first things to check is your Startup folder.

Go to Start Menu, All Programs, and then find a folder called Startup.

If the folder has Firefox inside, then you’ve found the culprit!

To safely remove Firefox from the Startup Menu, follow this article:http://ezinearticles.com/?Windows-XP-Performance-Tips—How-to-Remove-Programs-From-the-Startup-Folder&id=1212354

Laura asks…

Can Firefox save browser history across different computers?

I’m using Firefox version 10.0.1 and use iGoogle to access email, RSS feeds, news, to search, etc., on both my work and home computers. If my home computer is on, is there anything possible to make my work browser activity save on my home computer’s browser history?

Michelle answers:

Yes it can if you use the Firefox Sync Add-on.

Sharon asks…

Is it dangerous to download a firefox extension like power search tool?

Firefox at first didn’t allow the plug in to be installed, because it said that the plug in did not provide secure updates.

Michelle answers:

Firefox does that as a precaution, as Mozilla does not guarantee your security. But there will be one in million that is dangerous. Be open. Download as many as you want.

Susan asks…

Your Questions About Food Network

Mandy asks…

Why is Emeril no longer on FOOD NETWORK?

I have seen him on the Cooking Channel doing some show called Emeril Green where he cooks inside of a WHOLE FOODS Market with people who need help making a certain dish. Just curious as to why he left because the FOOD NETWORK is definitely not the same without him.

Michelle answers:

I suspect he was burned out on that show, wanted to do something different and do what he really loves is teaching about food, not being a showman.

Hurricane Katrina hit his empire very hard. His one restaurant in New Orleans had over a million dollars of wine lost that was not covered by insurance.

And he wanted to be able to spend time, rebuild the restaurant as he wanted, take care of his employees. And he’s got some young children that are growing up way too fast and family is another thing that is terribly important to him.

I think Emeril Live had just run it’s course and he was ready for a change. He’s also doing a show on the Cooking Channel called Fresh Food Fast too.

Sandy asks…

How young is to young to enroll in cooking classes?

My daughter is obsessed with cooking. She watches Food Network every day and asks me to download recipes constantly. I wanted to know if she was to young to enroll in cooking classes, and if there were any for kids in the Chicago / NorthWest Indiana? She is 6 1/2 years old.

Michelle answers:

Http://www.youngchefsacademy.com/pages/home.html takes kids 4-14. It looks like they do have a location in Illinois and also in Indiana. Not sure exactly how close they are to you.

Ken asks…

What kind of chef makes new dishes and makes sure dishes taste the same at different locations?

I once saw an episode of Unwrapped on the Food Network where they interviewed a chef whose job is to make new dishes for restaurants like Chili’s and Applebee’s. Next he had to recreate the dish with as few new ingredients as possible. Finally he had to find a way to make the dish reproducible so that it always tastes the same regardless of location.

Michelle answers:

This is the job of the Development Chef

Mark asks…

In a recipe that asks for peach preserves, how to use fresh peaches instead?

I have a recipe for peach cobbler newtons (found on the food network website) and it asks for 1 1/2 cups peach preserves. I need to know what the equivelent is in fresh peaches and if I need to add anything to make it more juicy. I am expecting an influx of peaches (yay for my tree) so any family recipes for cobblers, or anything would also be appreciated! No links to websites though, I can find that info myself! 🙂

Michelle answers:

Fresh peaches won’t work because they contain too much liquid. Peach preserves is thicker and will come out more like an actual newton cookie.

You could make the preserves yourself with the peaches though and proceed from there but newton cookies are all made with preserves as filling, even the ones you buy at the grocery store.

A fresh peach cobbler though is absolutely possible. Just slice your peaches (peel them for a more elegant dessert, don’t if you want it more rustic), squeeze over the juice of one lemon and toss with 4 tables spoons of regular white or brown sugar and 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon. Spread them out in a buttered baking dish and top with dollops of the following:

1 cup all purpose flour (leveled)
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup whole milk

Mix this until it becomes a thick paste and spoon it out evenly in dollops over the peaches. Sprinkle a mixture of 2 parts sugar to 1 part cinnamon on top of each dumpling.

Bake in a preheated oven at 375 for 25 minutes or until the peach juices begin to render and thicken and the dumplings brown on top.

You can also roast peaches to serve with ice cream. This is especially good if your peaches aren’t naturally sweet.

Again, you don’t have to peel them for this recipe…

Slice your peaches in half or in quarters (remove the pits) and toss with 2-3 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter cut into pieces, 1 tablespoon each of lime juice and lemon juice and two sprigs of fresh rosemary (yes, rosemary).

Pull the leaves off the sprigs before you toss them with the peaches, but don’t chop them…they’ll be used for flavor but really can’t be eaten so they’ll need to be set aside when you serve.

Spread the fruit mixture in a roasting pan and roast at 400 degrees stirring occasionally until the fruit is fork tender.

Serve warm (not hot) over vanilla ice cream.

I make this all the time with any kind of stone fruit: Plums, apricots, cherries, etc.

Your Questions About Fox News

Donald asks…

When will you people realize that Fox News is the only news network that tells the actual truth?

MSNBC is owned by idiot liberals and there liberal agenda at MSNBC is trying to brainwash America into thinking liberalism is good. Watch Fox News if you want the FACTS. Watch any other network if you want to be brainwashed!

Michelle answers:

I do as do most Intelligent Americans FOX is fair and balanced

Betty asks…

Where did Fox News and Frank Luntz find those independents they interview last night after the debate?

Those people are not independent, they are clear anti Obama. The debate last night was close, I think Obama actually got the edge but those folks they interviewed on Fox News clearly have their minds made up. They called Obama performance, lame, desperate, poor, arrogant and only one said great. Why Fox News never gives Obama any credit? When Romney and Ryan won the last debates Fox News praised them and spent hours talking about how well they did.

Michelle answers:

I agree. Fox tend to do that. “/

Mary asks…

Why is Fox News trying to shove Sarah Palin down our throats?

Fox News just had a show about Palin. Her resume is very scant and her credentials are worse than I initially realized. Yet Hannity, O’Reilly and Greta Van Sustern keep touting this woman. Hannity who has spent every episode bad mouthing Michelle and Barack Obama went on a tirade about how he felt the media is unfair to Palin. That is the epitomy of hypocrisy. Why isn’t he equally as fair about his biased coverage of Obama? Why are they trying to shove Sarah Palin down our throats?

Michelle answers:

Maybe you should stop watching fox news.

Jenny asks…

What do you think of FOX News claiming “the highest journalistic standards”?

FOX News was recruiting interns at Syracuse University and on the internship application they make the claim “FOX News maintains the highest possible standards for journalistic integrity…”

Several S.U. Students were openly mocking the FOX News recruiters over the claims in the application, and the FOX News recruiters didn’t even bother to say anything in reply. They just sat their shame-faced.

Your thoughts?

Michelle answers:

FOX news is, of course, the propaganda arm of the Republican Party and pure entertainment rather than journalism. I’m happy that you say the recruiters sat there shame-faced. If they’d had no shame, I would worry for the future of the younger generation.

My friend put the wrong year on his Facebook and it’s only a year off, making him a year older, by accident. Does he have to wait till the Facebook birthday is 18 to change it? Or will changing it cancel it out?

Donald asks…

How do i get a link mail sent from facebook to reactivate my facebook account?

please help me to get a link to reactivate my facebook account, because i haven’t recieved any mail from facebook.

Michelle answers:

Account activation on Facebook is an important security precaution.

Flag this photo
If you have signed up for Facebook, you might be eager to get started finding friends and posting messages. Before you can explore the wonderful world of Facebook, however, you will need to activate your account. Facebook requires account activation as a way to confirm that you want to create the account and you are a real person, not a computer bot. Activating your account is a simple procedure and you will be enjoying Facebook in just a few minutes.

Difficulty:EasyInstructions

1
Open your email client or the Web-based email service that you use.

2
Locate the message from Facebook in your inbox and click on it. If you don’t see a message in your inbox, check your spam folder.

3
Click on the activation link in the Facebook message. This will take you directly to Facebook and your account will be instantly activated. If clicking the link does not work in your email client, right-click on the link and select “Copy Link Location” from the context menu that appears. Right-click your browser’s address bar, select “Paste” and press “Enter.” The activation page on Facebook will open in your browser.

Sandra asks…

If I link my Yahoo Messenger to facebook, is it going to invite Yahoo friends to connect on facebook?

I love the idea of using Yahoo to chat with my facebook friends! But – I am afraid that if I hook up my Yahoo and Facebook accounts, it will start inviting people to be my facebook friend.

Does anybody know anything about this? Can you put my worries at rest?> I have hundreds, if not thousands of contacts on Yahoo. But I want to keep facebook more personal – just for connecting to close friends and relatives.

Michelle answers:

Hey Michelle 🙂

(^_^) All it does, it just lets you chat with your facebook friends (as-well with your Yahoo IM friends) without you having to leave Yahoo Mess’! And it will not automatically invite people to join facebook at all.

This is what Yahoo said –

“When chatting with your Facebook friends through Yahoo! Messenger 11, you will appear as ‘Online’ in your your friends’ Facebook chat window. However, the Facebook users will not have any indication that the person they are chatting with on Facebook is using a non-Facebook client. This is also true for other clients such as AIM or Digsby.”

So…it looks like you’re OK to go 🙂

How to clear stored passwords on Firefox?

Well we all know that Firefox sucks but it’s all my computer will run efficiently at the moment. I do a lot of online classes and every time i venture to another webpage off the school website I have to re-login, due to safety and security. However I stored an old password and no matter how many time i clear cookies and caches and whatever from the “Tools > Clear browsing history” selection and nothing happened. -.- Can someone help me please? Thanks!

Michelle answers:

Uninstall, and then re-install Firefox. It’s your only option.

Steven asks…

How do I manipulate the Firefox navigation toolbar?

I just applied a black and blue Firefox Persona (background image sort of thing) and my white translucent navigation bar clashes horribly. Is there a way to shorten the navigation bar, make it transparent, or something?

Michelle answers:

Try some themes. There’s tons of them. Click Tools > Add-ons, click Get Add-ons, click Browse All Add-ons to take you to the Firefox download site, click Themes. There’s 400+ at: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/themes/

..

Lizzie asks…

How do I get rid of the blue tint on my firefox windows?

I received a notice from firefox to update to a new version. So I updated it and everything is running smoothly except whenever I open a window in firefox there is a light blue tint. None of my other programs are blue it just seems to be with firefox. Any advice on how to get rid of this?? Thanks!

Michelle answers:

This happens to me when I’ve had Firefox up for a long time and it’s gobbled up most of the available Random Access Memory. It also starts doing other strange things at that time — lags, occasional aborts.

Generally, I just close it out and start it up again.

Which reminds me, it’s starting to act strangely. Gotta go.

Ruth asks…

How can I get rid of the Firefox toolbar and get the IE toolbar back?

For some reason, the IE toolbox disappeared and the firefox toolbar appeared and I don’t like the firefox toolbar. It doesn’t have File, edit, print etc.

Michelle answers:

To put things into perspective, both the Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers have a Menu Bar which contains stuff like File, Edit, View, …. For IE or Firefox use the keyboard shortcut Alt+V, move mouse to Toolbars and click Menu Bar (if it does not have a check mark). Additionally the Menu Bar is a browser toolbar and has nothing to do with Yahoo toolbar.

Your Questions About Food Network

Linda asks…

What do you add to pillsbury cinnamon roll orange icing to make it more of a frosting of glaze?

I saw a woman making flat cakes on food network. She rolled out cinnamon rolls between two pieces of parchament and then pressed them in chopped pecans and baked them. Then she did something with the orange icing they make to make it more of a dip/glaze type thing. It looked sooooooo good but I cant remember what she did.

Michelle answers:

Heated jam. Mix it in with the icing.

Maria asks…

How do you make those cheese crackers?

George asks…

What is a good meal to make with chicken and peppers?

me and my cousin have been watching the food network all day and we want to make a gourmet meal like the chefs do. we want to use chicken and maybe peppers.

Michelle answers:

If you want a gourmet meal like food network, go to food network.com. Otherwise, you could make chicken with sauteed peppers, onions and tomato served over yellow rice. Just add in some Spanish seasoning like sazon and adobo.

Sandra asks…

What is a website with good Halloween themed baking recipes?

Besides Betty Crocker and Food Network. Also if you are able, please include recipes you have tried from there and if they turned out well:)
