Your Questions About Food Network

Betty asks…

Does anyone know a recipe for fondant?

I see on the Food Network challenges, the bakers use it a lot on their cakes.

Michelle answers:

Rolled Fondant

This icing is rolled out and used as a covering for a firm cake such as pound or fruit cake, which is traditionally first covered with a layer of marzipan to seal in flavor and moistness of the cake. A light layer of buttercream or apricot glaze may also be used. Cakes covered with rolled fondant can be decorated with Royal or Buttercream Icing. Wilton also has convenient, Ready-to-Use Rolled Fondant for easy-to-handle fondant with no mixing.

How to Color and Flavor:
The pure white color of Wilton Ready-To-Use Rolled Fondant Icing can be easily tinted any color using Wilton Icing Colors. Add icing color, a drop at a time and knead into icing until color is evenly blended.

Wilton Ready-To-Use Rolled Fondant Icing has a mellow flavor which can be enhanced using Wilton Butter Flavor, Clear Vanilla Extract, or Almond Extract. Knead flavor/extract into icing until well blended.

How to Prepare the Cake
Level cake, position on board cut to fit and fill layers as desired.

For a perfectly smooth fondant cake, the cake surface you cover must be perfectly smooth. Any imperfections on the cake surface will mirror itself on the rolled fondant. Ice cake smooth with a thin layer of buttercream icing, covering all holes and imperfections. Use the Buttercream Icing Recipe, Wilton Ready-To-Use Decorators Icing or Creamy White Icing Mix. Let Buttercream Icing set before covering with Rolled Fondant. One-layer cakes with a very even surface can be coated instead with apricot glaze.

To determine the diameter you need to roll fondant for covering the cake: measure opposite sides and top of cake across center; roll out fondant to that size, 1/4 inch thick. For example, an 8 inch, two-layer cake, with two sides each 4 inches, equals 16 inches diameter. For simple, accurate measuring, roll out the fondant on top of the Cake Dividing Wheel included in the Wilton Cake Dividing Set.

Covering Large Rounds

How to Store Fondant-Covered Cake
Iced cake can be stored at room temperature for 2-3 days. Excess fondant can be stored 2 months in an airtight container. Do not refrigerate or freeze.

More Helpful Hints for Fondant
In general, the less height on your cake, the easier it will be to cover with rolled fondant. Individual sized desserts, such as petit fours are the easiest of all to cover.
When rolling fondant, it is extremely important to remember to lift and reposition it several times. You must keep fondant from sticking to your rolling surface or it will tear when you try to lift it up. Dusting the surface with confectioners sugar helps prevent sticking.
Rolled Fondant dries quickly. Always keep it covered to prevent hardening when in use.

Rolled Fondant Techniques
Fondant Rose
Bows/Loops

Recipes:

Rolled Fondant
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1/2 cup Glucose
2 tablespoons solid vegetable shortening
1 tablespoon Glycerin
8 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar (about 2 lbs.)
Icing color and flavoring, as desired
Combine gelatin and cold water; let stand until thick. Place gelatin mixture in top of double boiler and heat until dissolved. Add glucose, mix well. Stir in shortening and just before completely melted, remove from heat. Add glycerin, flavoring and color. Cool until lukewarm. Next, place 4 cups confectioner’s sugar in a bowl and make a well. Pour the lukewarm gelatin mixture into the well and stir with a wooden spoon, mixing in sugar and adding more, a little at a time, until stickiness disappears. Knead in remaining sugar. Knead until the fondant is smooth, pliable and does not stick to your hands. If fondant is too soft, add more sugar; if too stiff, add water (a drop at a time). Use fondant immediately or store in airtight container in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate or freeze. When ready to use, knead again until soft.

This recipe makes approx. 36 oz., enough to cover a 10 x 4 in. High cake.

Maria asks…

How many licks does it take to get the center of a Totsie Roll Pop ?

I watched on Food Network that some college students made a licking machine to find out the answer but I forgot what the answer was. Does anyone know? Did anyone see that episode of Unwrapped?

Michelle answers:

I KNOW THIS ONE, 3! :O AM I RIGHT??

Richard asks…

How are you liking the new Cooking Channel?

Are you enjoying the new Cooking Channel?

So far I am really liking it. I like how it is more international in nature than the original Food Network.

How about you?

Michelle answers:

I thought it would have more cooking but its more like the food network same chefs and some of the same shows. I guess ill have to wait a few more days for all the cooks to start.

Sandra asks…

How do you fry a yellow cake?

i saw on the food network of someone frying a yellow cake(i think one of the deen boys) but i cant find it, can anyone help me out?

Michelle answers:

Sometimes in the summer I make fried cakes so I don’t heat up the house. I usually make them small like pancakes, they’re easy to serve and don’t have crumbs. If you do the whole cake make sure to reduce the heat and use a lid to help cook through and through. Mix the cake.Place a little oil or Pam in the skillet. Pour the cake in and shake it to level it and remove air bubbles. Every now and then use a wide spatula and ck the bottom to make sure you are not cooking it too fast and burning it. It also keeps the bottom from sticking so go all around the skillet. Cover and continue on low so the cake will cook in the center and not brown too fast on the bottom. Turn it over(!?) by using a flat plate on top of the skillet and flipping both over. Spray the Pam again and let the cake slide into the skillet from the plate. Cove r and ck until done. You can use reg frosting or I like to use apple or cherry canned pie filling on top with a little whipping cream on top!Yum! Now I’m hungry.

I dont know how to put facebook on my ipod touch, even though i already have the facebook application on my ipod touch.

From there, you should be able to open the app and proceed as usual!

Chris asks…

How long does it take to re-enable a facebook after it has been disabled?

So a facebook happens to be disabled for some unknown reason. After emailing. Generally how long does it take for a facebook to get restored?

Does anyone else find this a common issue with facebook?

Michelle answers:

My account got disabled too a few months ago. I still have no idea what i did wrong.
I tried mailing them but i never got a reply…and my old facebook is still disabled.

All you can do right now is hope they reply to your message.

But i am pretty sure that once your facebook gets disabled, there isn’t anything you can do about it.

Your Questions About Fox 23

David asks…

Can you show me where Jesus specifically condemns any individual?

King James Version, please.

Michelle answers:

In Matthew 23, Jesus condemns groups of people, but doesn’t direct his condemnation to one individual alone. In Luke 13:32, Jesus calls Herod Antipas a fox, and from his tone, it comes across as pajorative.

Helen asks…

How did the Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America come into being in our Government?

Did the congress VOTE for this, if so when? WHO VOTED FOR IT?

Michelle answers:

No Congress didn’t vote on this in fact no one voted for it.

On March 23, 2005, heads of government Vincente Fox, George W. Bush, and Paul Martin launched the North American partnership at a meeting in Waco, Texas, with the expressed goal of “a safer, more prosperous North America.”

Proponents of the partnership claim its purpose is to increase security and prosperity for all three nations through enhanced cooperation. Critics maintain the partnership will sacrifice U.S. Sovereignty by establishing a “North American Union,” with open borders and a common currency.

Lets just hope this does NOT establish the NAU !

Nancy asks…

Do you believe that gay marriage will be legal in all 50 states?

Even if you’re against it, do you think it will be legal in all 50 states sooner or later?

Michelle answers:

Let’s look back 150 years ago.

Blacks were not allowed to own property essentially unless they had a writ (from a white Judge) stating they were freemen and citizens.

120 years ago property owners largely were the only ones allowed to vote.
100 years ago Women were still not allowed to vote.
70 years ago Blacks were not allowed to use the same facilities , as whites, and society was accordingly segregated.
40 years ago Blacks could still not obtain mortgages and loans in the same way as non-blacks in the same community (Redlining STILL persists in many areas of the country).
20 years ago the first generation of Black millionaires started to retire.

100 years ago being gay as the love that dare not speak it’s name.
75 years ago being openly gay would get you beaten just as soon as if you were black, this is STILL true in some more rural areas of the country.
50 years ago it was possible in some urban areas to live as openly gay people, arts and culture flourished.
30 years ago the first HIV cases were found in promiscuous gay men.
20 years ago the gay community still being decimated sought partner rights / visitation became a need for some partnered relations.
10 years ago the GOP made gay marriage a plank of opposition in preserving family values.

In working with gays in my workplace for many years, while I cannot speak from personal experience, I’d say most of society is slowly coming to terms with the notion of partner rights as a normal package of rights. But gay marriage as such is not an institution that I’ve seen alot of gay co-workers really clamor for, in fact most folks I spoke to were rather indifferent on the subject.

Not in the same way as partnership / visitation rights etc.

Eventually, I suspect some sort of civil union type of thing will be inevitable in all 50 states, but I give it ANOTHER 50 years before it is just regarded with indifference by most people.

But it’s important to understand that this is issue was not an issue until the GOP got some juice into it, like most things GOP, if you aren’t reacting to something – well you’re just not afraid enough or paying attention.

So like the incendiary “Downtown Mosque / Cultural Center” , or the insensitive “OJ Simpson `If I did it book` ” – http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6517875&ps=rs or just the inane “The Keffiyeh Kerfuffle” – http://michellemalkin.com/2008/05/23/of-donuts-and-dumb-celebrities/

Consumers of the right wing’s media product are pretty inundated with “issues” , be they real or conjured by the small army of pundits and writers, most of these are trivial , but they are meant to get voters agitated about “x”, and out to vote about “x”.

What I found particularly illuminating was the OJ fiasco, which was financed, bought and paid for by Fox media , was that media pundits normally loyal actually almost came to recommend boycotting their OWN station! – The rarity of this type of revolt was notable, and Mr. Murdoch quickly did an about face, and tried to bury association – Notably Bill O’Rielly was so genuinely offended he refused to cover it.

Ultimately the Goldman family sued and won a formal apology from Mr. Murdoch for milking their suffering.

So in the real scope of things once the Fox News / GOP machine moves on to another item, this will likely slowly move towards societal acceptability.

Chris asks…

What is the approval rate of Obamacare?

I keep hearing different numbers from those who support it and those who are against it. Who should I listen to?

Michelle answers:

Here is the problem. Some of the people (conservatives) disapprove of any reform. Some of the people (liberals) disapprove because they wanted single payer instead, but they are in favor of reform. The conservatives tend to lump both those groups together and report the numbers as if it were proving only their point, which is untrue. So unless you find a poll that breaks down these two groups, or if anyone tries to give you the combined numbers, blow off what they say.

Add to that the fact that people believe lying propaganda because they don’t research anything for themselves. A Harrison Poll revealed that the Republican lying propaganda campaign has been so successful that Republicans actually believe the following about President Obama:

* He is a socialist (40%)
* He wants to take away Americans’ right to own guns (38%)
* He is a Muslim (32%)
* He wants to turn over the sovereignty of the United States to a one world government (29%)
* He has done many things that are unconstitutional (29%)
* He resents America’s heritage (27%)
* He does what Wall Street and the bankers tell him to do (27%)
* He was not born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president (25%)
* He is a domestic enemy that the U.S. Constitutions speaks of (25%)
* He is a racist (23%)
* He is anti-American (23%)
* He wants to use an economic collapse or terrorist attack as an excuse to take dictatorial powers (23%)
* He is doing many of the things that Hitler did (20%)
* He may be the Anti-Christ (14%)
* He wants the terrorists to win (13%)

Your Questions About Facebook Login

George asks…

There is not a way to unlock my Facebook account before 24hrs?

is there a link to open my Facebook account back up? It said it was locked for 24 hrs. Can I unlock it now?

Michelle answers:

Suddenly you attempt to login to your Facebook profile. Perhaps you have simply forgotten your password or worst case your Facebook account security has been compromised. Having had this happen to me, I can help you reset your Facebook password and restore your peace of mind. You will be back networking with your friends, family and coworkers in no time.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

1
Go to your computer bring up the Facebook login screen like you normally would. Do not fill in any information.

2
Click on the link above your Facebook user name and password that states forgot your password. This brings you to a different screen.

3
Fill in the email address associated or on file with your Facebook account. If you cannot remember, keep trying different email addresses until you do.

4
Click enter and a Facebook reset link will be sent to your email so you can recover your password. It usually takes up to 5 minutes. Check your spam email folder if the email does not appear in your inbox.

5
Click the link in your email and answer any security questions by Facebook. This brings back to the Facebook website.

6
Reset your password with a phrase you will remember mixed in with 1 to 2 numbers or more. Record this in a notebook or on a safe place. Use a different password than you would for your email. This decreases your chances of having both websites compromised.

Susan asks…

How do I hide certain profile pictures on facebook from others?

One of my friends on facebook has their current profile picture hidden whenever I click their profile pictures. Like, there will be old profile pictures on her account, but the current picture won’t be displayed. How do I do that? I don’t want to ask her… and no, I don’t want to know how to customize my album so that no one can see it, I just don’t want my old pictures to be seen by others, except me.
Help me, please?

Michelle answers:

The most trending privacy feature now days is to hide your profile pictures from unknown people or even from your friends. But let me clear one thing here is that you can only lock the profile picture album, your current profile will still be shown to everyone. To hide your profile pictures, simply follow the following procedure:

1) Login to your facebook account and go to Account >> Privacy Settings. (see top right side of your profile).
2) Now click on customize settings link on that page.
3) Click on Edit album privacy to view the privacy level for all your albums. (link: http://www.facebook.com/privacy/?view=photos ).
4) Now the first album will be your ‘Profile Pictures’. For that album select “Custom” option from the drop down list with the album.
5) Now you will see a pop-up on screen, select “Only Me” option from the drop down list for “Make it visible to” option.

That’s it, you’re all done now as there’s no need to save these changes. Go back to your homepage and your profile pictures album will now be locked for everyone even if the person is in your friend’s list. You can also lock this album for few people or none of them. Select the desired option from the same drop down list after you saw the pop-up.

Sharon asks…

I want to open a new email address for Facebook, but not delete my old address?

I want a new email account for Facebook. However, I also want to keep my current account with yahoo. Is this possible?

Michelle answers:

Yes you can, using an extra email address which can be used to login to Yahoo! And using the same mailbox with your existing Yahoo account.

To create extra email address,
direct: http://edit.yahoo.com/config/list_alias
Or manually, login to Yahoo! Mail, click “Options” >> “Mail Options” (or More Options) >> Accounts >> click link “Create extra email address”.

To change email address linked on Facebook:
Login to Facebook. Click on “Settings”, select “Account Settings”. On the Settings tab, click Change in the “Email” section. There you can change the email addresses linked to your facebook account.

Ruth asks…

Why is it that everytime you login to Facebook you get different items hours apart?

Login once and you get thing from 23 hours ago login again and you might have things from 16 hours ago. Why is it that it never shows the most current items?
Tired of seeing the same things from days ago when I go to fromt page.
Thank you Michelle!

Your Questions About Forever 21

Helen asks…

What size forever 21 skinny jeans would I be?

I’m a 3 at american eagle and a 1 or 3 at pac sun…However, I find that those jeans have stretched quite a bit, so I’d like to buy my forever 21 jeans a size tighter so they still fit after they stretch. 🙂

I can’t go to the store to try them on, because I live in Canada and I don’t have any stores near me.

Michelle answers:

Measure around your waist. You’re probably a 23 or 24,
the smallest size they have is a 24 🙂

Ruth asks…

Is it possible to use forever 21 store bought gift cards online?

i bought a forever 21 gift card in the store. but i see stuff online i want to buy. can i use my gift card to buy it? thanks

Michelle answers:

Yes!

Chris asks…

How do i find out how much money is on a Forever 21 store credit?

i have a merchandise credit card for forever 21, but i dont know how much money is on it and there is no number to call on the card

Michelle answers:

You can take it to a Forever21 store they can pull it up for you or call the 800 number on the back and use the pin

Sandra asks…

How do you care for Forever 21 jewelry?

I used to really like Forever 21, until I realized that they don’t last very long. I’m not rich, and I don’t have much money, so I can’t really afford to buy more expensive jewelry. Recently, I just couldn’t help it, and I found this really cute necklace at Forever 21. I really want it to last long, and keep it nice and shiny, but how?

Michelle answers:

Not wild about their jewelry it’s relatively poor in quality…but i would recommend keeping it in a dry safe place and wearing high collared or neckline blouses to keep the jewelry away from the skin as much as possible to avoid getting the oils from the skin on it and making it less prone to tarnishing.

Your Questions About Fox News

Donald asks…

Have you not liked Fox News so much that you actually considered BLOCKING the channel?

If so, what does that say about you?

I know why everyone hates FOX NEWS so much. It’s because of lies on their news reports.

Michelle answers:

I hate fox news so much. My brother is in the marines and when their sitting there telling us lies that’s going on in this war and other new channels tell us something different, it makes me want to throw something at the t.v. I mean my brother is supposed to go into this war in three weeks and i want the truth about whats going on. Not some lie.

Thomas asks…

What is your opinion on a Rolling Stone article according to which Fox News viewers are misinformed?

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/blogs/national-affairs/study-watching-foxnews-actually-makes-you-less-informed-20120524

Researchers at the Fairleigh Dickinson University concluded that:

Fox viewers scored the lowest in both categories, getting an average of 1.04 questions right on domestic issues and 1.08 on international, behind people who watch MSNBC (which, on international affairs, also lagged the non-news watchers) The Daily Show, and the Sunday talk show viewers, as well as NPR listeners – the best informed audience – and, yes, people who don’t “do” news.

The research doesn’t seem to indicate where people who don’t watch the news on T.V. or the radio might be getting their information from, but I’m suspecting it’s print and Internet.

Michelle answers:

Rolling Stone magazine has been around since I was in Jr. High, 48 years ago. It was always a highly respected artsy magazine that had the latest on music, dancing, rock groups and fashion.

They’ve become political as well now and know their stuff.

Guess what? Fox News viewers are the MOST misinformed that exist. You don’t get your news from newscaster or any journalists. You get opinions, they spread the Republican hate. If you watch nothing else, you’re doing yourselves a gross injustice.

Watch Fox if you want. But don’t limit yourself. The world is WAY MORE than Fox News.

Mandy asks…

Why republicans have a hard time admitting that Fox News is just as bias as MSNBC?

Fox News is pro republican, is obvious. MSNBC is pro Obama evidently. So why republicans have a hard time admitting that Fox news is for them?

Michelle answers:

Brainwashing. It’s effective. So effective that they don’t even realize it.

Mark asks…

Is Fox News about as fair and balanced as the news media was in Stalinist Russia or Nazi Germany?

Is Fox a news network or a propaganda network? I think an argument can be made that all main stream news networks in the United States are used as mechanisms for government propaganda.

Perhaps a better question would be is Fox News anything more than a propaganda network.

Michelle answers:

Every news source is biased according to the views of the news providers, thus, any news source can be considered propaganda to some degree.

Having never lived during the 1940s or ’50s in either of those countries, I can’t compare Fox News to their news sources. However, I am willing to say that, while most Fox personalities definitely lean toward the far political right, the network is probably more balanced than Soviet and Nazi news agencies were. My opinion is based on the principle that Soviet and Nazi networks were state-run, where Fox is independent of the state, insofar as being controlled by the government goes. Also, I have seen Beck rail on both of the major U.S. Parties in his overly-dramatic way, not just Democrats like all the others.

Your Questions About Fedex

Sandy asks…

Is FedEx allowed to remove a delivery time?

So I’ve got a package coming from FedEx. I checked Yesterday and it said that the estimated delivery was going to be yesterday, April 2nd. It never came. So this morning i got up to check it again and they removed the estimated delivery. Can they do this?

Michelle answers:

Of course.

The estimated delivery time on fedex.com is the time that they *actually* expect the package to be delivered – not the service guarantee time. Since it wasn’t delivered yesterday, obviously they don’t expect it to be delivered yesterday. That there’s no estimated delivery time listed at all means that they have a problem, and don’t know when they will get it to you. When they can make a new estimate, they’ll post it. (You can set the website to text you with updates, if you want)

Richard

Lisa asks…

What’s the difference between UPS and FedEx?

I’ve seen UPS and FedEx mail delivery trucks, but none others.

What’s the difference, if any, between the two?
On average, which has cheaper delivery costs and S&H
Which is more reliable? I want to mail a very fragile expensive Swarovski crystal figurine overseas and I need to that it’ll arrive safely and in perfect condition.

Michelle answers:

UPS can turn a brick into gravel. Use heavy padding in the box. Place it in another box with more padding. Not kidding. I’ve had a few broken items from FedEx as well but not as many as UPS.

To find which is cheaper simply visit both sites and use their shipping calculators. Enter a fake weight and destination. Compare the two costs.

Ruth asks…

How long does it take fedex to deliver?

Hello i live in umatilla oregon i order something from tacoma washington. Its about 4-5 hours away. How long does it take fedex to make a delivery from that distance

Michelle answers:

2 to 3 days. Will depend on when the shipper gets it to FedEx.

Susan asks…

Has anyone ever had a package they sent through FedEx show up as delay beyond our control?

I sent immigration papers for my husband through FedEx again and everything was fine until I tracked it and it says: Shipment exception-Delay beyond our control. What does this mean? The FedEx rep I talked to wasn’t very helpful and said it was probably weather. It’s 60 in Louisville where my papers are so I doubt it’s weather.
It’s actually going to Chicago and I looked again and saw it was in Memphis at 12:56am and then in Louisville with the delay message 6 minutes later. I’m so confused and super stressed out now.

Michelle answers:

Depending on where you sent it to, the weather could have messed it up. If the FedEx truck wasn’t in Louisville, it could have gotten stuck in some weather. If not, chances are the truck may have has some problems or there was traffic. Not sure on that one. Good luck!

Learning to Tell Time

Clocks and watches have both a big hand to tell the minutes and a little hand to tell the hour. Look at the picture below. The hour hand is pointing to the 1, and the minute hand is pointing to the 12 (or 0 minutes). It is exactly one o’clock.

http://www.pitara.com/activities/math/time/time.asp

Drag the hands of the clock to show the correct time. When you think you have the right time, press OK. If you answer incorrectly, click the clock face afterwards to see the correct answer. Try and score a perfect game(10 out of 10). Press OK to begin.

Your Questions About Fox News

Helen asks…

What do you think the percentage is of viewers who watch Fox News just to get a good laugh?

This question clearly doesn’t need any more explanation… I personally would estimate that a whopping 30% of all viewers are laughing hysterically every time they flip over to Faux News. I find it to be inconceivable that Americans are that dumb as to believe that bs. Apart from their ridiculous pr campaign that 911 wasn’t an inside job and that we really need to be occupying Afghanistan/Iraq, Fox News actually supports evil corporations like Monsanto and Merck.

Michelle answers:

Someone has to cater to the extremely frightened and ignorant. Fox Noise is an infotainment channel driven solely by profit at the whim of Rupert Murdock. They recycle the opinions of their talking gasbags – Beck, Hannity and OReilly, using the statisics these idiots create to support their theories and present this moronic blather as fact on their news programs.

And they provide a substantial amount of material to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report on Comedy Central. And those shows are funny on purpose!

Lisa asks…

Why does Fox News Channel use a question mark after every headline?

If they are reporting factual, real news, why does Fox News Channel put a question mark after every headline? Has anyone else ever noticed this? It seems like they are creating “fake” news by making every news story a question….

Michelle answers:

Fox news is more about entertainment than news, flashy graphics, punchy slogans – and ‘We’ll be back after these message!’ For real news you should check out independent journalist such as John Pilger and Amy Goodman.

Democracy Now is an excellent news program.

Laura asks…

Doesnt it seem like the Fox News channel spins the news to back the Republican Party?

i was watching the Fox News and they say they are fair and balanced but it seems like they just are hating on Democrats all the time? Am i wrong because this was the first time i watched the Fox News.
I moved to America from Amesterdam a week ago thats why i have never watched it.

Michelle answers:

I used to watch fox news but in the pass couple year ago they seem like is not about news anymore, it’s like the official republican party channel now, they suxs big time.

Sandy asks…

WHY DOES FOX NEWS CRUSH THE COMPETITION IN RATINGS?

I mean I’ve seen such hatred on here for Fox news. Yet in the only true form of MEASUREMENT of success-the ratings-they dominate. Since CBS/ ABC/NBC used to have a monopoly on news content in pre-cable days-are they frustrated because their relevance has been minimized? Or is it the far less watched CNN and MSNBC hoping to gain ratings by bashing FOX???
Can any of the accusers present evidence of falsehoods on Fox news?

Michelle answers:

Well, I’m pretty sure American Idol crushes Fox News in the ratings. That doesn’t make American Idol a more legitimate source of accurate news or information.

They get hate because they are a blatantly dishonest organization. They claim to be a news organization, but studies have shown that people who get their their news from Faux know less about the news than people who don’t watch any news at all.

That means Faux News is spreading falsehoods/lies/progaganda/misinformation, which is the opposite of what news is supposed to do.

Fox News gets bashed because they are a crappy organization with a shoddy product.

EDIT – Google “Fox News Lies List” – that should occupy you for the next decade. Here’s a very basic one – when covering the very, very peaceful protests at Wisconsin capitol, while trying to portray the protestors as violent radicals, they ran footage of an unruly mob with fights breaking out. Problem with the footage was that there aren’t palm trees in Madison Wisconsin – they ran footage of a TEA PARTY rally in California while trying to portray the liberal protestors as thugs. You don’t get much more dishonest than that.

– Here’s a new one. A Fox News “reporter” claimed there were allegations of “Micky Mouse” and “Adolf Hitler” being on Governor Walker recall petitions. Utterly false. Expect to hear those phony claims repeated here, ad nauseum
