Go to the Facebook page and open up tools options main
Click on ‘use current page’ then ‘ok’.
Now everytime you open up Facebook will be your home page.

How long does Facebook keep data of a deleted account?

It’s been about 4 months since i permanently deleted my Facebook account.
I was wondering if my data is completely erased from their servers or not.

Im sorry but you cant really delete a facebook account.
If you login, your account will be reactivated. They keep your data on their databases. They dont erase it. I even reported this fact to eTruste myself, they replied but their answer didn’t help that much.

1) go to: https://register.facebook.com/editaccount.php?expand=email
(click account->acount settings to go there)

2) add a new contact email

3) set it as primary by clicking the radio button

I was on my sisters blackberry curve and she had my facebook picture as my contact picture on her phone. And it updated it automatically everytime I changed it. How do I do this on mine? Help please?

First step is to download the FB App to your Blackberry (BB) here by entering an email address associated with your BB http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/email/680

Second step is to open the FB App, enter your login information etc. Once you’ve set it up hit the BB menu button and go to options and check the box next to where it says “Blackberry Contacts application” as well as the box below that where it says “Update existing photos in your Blackberry…”. Then hit the back button and click save if prompted.

It could take up to twenty minutes or so for your contacts to update, however, once it has you should see their profile pics in your contacts.

In Firefox click tools, then options and then click advanced and on the general tab you will see a button that says check now so click that and then it will ask you if you want to make Firefox your default browser. You can also check the box that tells Firefox to check if it is the default browser

I currently have the latest version of mozilla firefox. I have been trying to set up a system to block specific websites from being accessed. I have successfully been able to block sites on IE but firefox still allows everything. How on earth can I block sites using firefox?

I have already tried adding them to my host files, going into internet connections in my control panel and changing things in there, but none of this will work for firefox.

I have a question about chef Anthony Bourdain and his show on the Travel Channel. Can you help?

My husband and I recently started watching his show and he refers to his two years with the Food Network quite a lot, but not in a nice way. I don’t remember him on Food Network. What show did he have, if any? Also, he makes fun of Rachael Ray a lot, too. Anyone know the story behind that, or is he just making fun of her not so good cooking? One time he found out she only tips 10% from a waitress at a restaurant he dined at shortly after she did. Thanks!
As Wise Guy said.. I do agree he has a bad mouth. I think this is the only food/travel show that has warnings at the beginning. One person on a recent show refused to hang out with him anymore because of his behavior. There is no excuse for rudeness, even if it does get you ratings. Come on Anthony, you can do better!

Tony is very outspoken and his show on the FoodNetwork despite the one fellows opinion was very popular, he travelled around the world and tried food most people would not dare.

Most likely he has a bit of a beef with them at the FN and as Racheal Ray does her program out of NY City and his restauant is in lower Manhattan, word gets out from place to place about the artsy fartsy’s and there dining tactics.

I was a chef and the grapevine is very extensive and can be vengeful, you would think with her money she would be a better tipper, I worked at place in Toronto that the celebritys haunted, and they usually spend $300-500 in one sitting, so 10% is not bad for a tip.

How to make a good sauce for this recipe?

I was watching the food network a couple of weeks ago and want to try this recipe. I can’t find it anywhere on the internet. First you fry bacon in a pan and add a bunch of squash and zucchini. Then you cook noodles and somehow make a white sauce. You add all the ingredients together. I have no clue how to make a white sauce that will go well with this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Right now I’m a senior and I play soccer and volleyball but I don’t enjoy it. The one thing in life I love is cooking and I am good at it. I pretty much watch about 90% of TV on the Food Network and I’ve have taken Culinary classes for the past two years in school. I also received one of the top two overall awards for our school’s culinary program which is out of about 1000 students. What could I get into?

You’re so lucky that you’ve discovered your passion so early! Many of us finish high school and then go on to college and, finally, into a series of careers and we *still* don’t know what we want to *be* when we grow up!
There are so many options available to you with your gifts and talents!
You could become a personal chef and cook special meals for others in your community who would be very grateful and would pay you well. People are often on special diets and they might not be able to prepare meals for themselves. You’d probably first cook out of your home and deliver these meals to your customers and then later, when you have the money, you can prepare these special foods/meals at a leased or owned site. To learn more about careers as a personal chef, you can go to http://www.personalchef.com/ and to http://www.uspca.com/, as well as other websites.
You could give cooking lessons to the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other youth groups as well as to adults and/or homeschoolers. A homeschooling support group would welcome this kind of interactive, experiential learning! This was a win-win for all! This same friend did some cooking demonstrations at our local Farmers’ Market, and the various vendors were happy to donate the raw food items since the audience, after taste-testing the finished food, swarmed to their stalls and booths to buy ingredients needed to replicate the recipes. This friend actually had the recipes printed out for the audience to take home if they were interested.
I used to run a program where teenagers helped homebound senior citizens by preparing their meals, chopping vegetables, doing their shopping, and the like. This is another way to be of food-related service where it’s needed.
Other teen and 20-something friends have been involved in Food Not Bombs where they cook and share meals with the hungry. To learn more and to see if there’s a local Food Not Bombs program near you (or if you want to start one!), just go to http://www.foodnotbombs.net/.

You can eventually attend a culinary academy and receive your certification. There are even some great culinary institutes in countries outside the U.S. Which offer hands-on immersion experiences. You can also check with your instructors about any local apprenticeship programs.
When you’re older and don’t need a work permit, you can work for a local restaurant and gain experience as you make your way up to an executive chef level. Bill O’Reilly constantly defends Obama when he is the subject of falsehood and unsubstantiated insinuation. Too bad CNN talking heads weren’t as generous when GWB was in office. To be president means to be supported by those who voted for you and criticized by those who didn’t. That’s how freedom of speech works and, if Fox News upsets you, don’t watch it – we don’t have total propaganda on the airwaves yet, but CNN is working on it.

Can we agree that things have really gotten bad for McCain when even FOX news slams him?

The top Republican on the Banking committee was on FOX news last night saying that McCain is very quiet and contributed very little to the talks.

Pretty sad seeing that FOX News is pretty much pro-Republican.

Did anyone see the story on Fox News about adults going back to church because of the economy?

I know, this crowd and Fox news… don’t report me just yet. lol

Most of us in the agonostic/atheist crowd are aware of the studies that show the religious “nones” are one of the fastest growing segments in the country. Fox reported tonight that more and more adults are going back to the “religion of their parents” acording to Fox because of the economy, and a desire to recreate more traditional values/family life… blah blah. I *thought* they said this was based off a Pew research poll, but I was unable to find anything like that one their site. I was just wondering if anyone saw this, or knew where I could see the data that shows more people going back to church.

Not on Fox News, but I have heard the same report before. Pretty much any time there’s a recession, the story pops up somewhere.

Interestingly enough, this time the reverse seems to be happenning. Or more accurately, the long-term decline in church attendance has continued unabated.

All retail stores are closed on Christmas Day (only), but they are generally open on New Year’s Day. When you work in retail, you can just about forget about ever getting off on weekends or holidays.

Why does Forever 21 take so long to ship their products?

I ordered 2 bodysuits from Forever 21 online last Saturday, and the website gave me a tracking number. I tracked it, and UPS says it won’t be delivered until next Monday. WTF, 9 days to deliver a 10-ounce package? It’s bad enough that the local Forever 21 store (or any F21 for that matter) doesn’t carry bodysuits and I can’t try them on before I buy them. But why couldn’t they just send the package by first-class mail?

Their not going to spend their money on delivering a 10 ounce package, like you said! You don’t know how many people shop at their website & your not any special to them either! If you wanted it first-class, did it even ask if you wanted it express shipping?

How do I add videos to my Facebook profile?

Remember, that facebook changed like everything. I just got a facebook a little while ago and i want to know how to add a video to my profile, Can you tell me how?

Go to your facebook profile. Once you’re there, click the videos tab next to Wall, info, photos, etc. When the page loads up after you click it, click upload on the top right next to where it says Record. It will make all your files pop up and select the video file you want to upload. It will upload automatically after that and will take a few minutes to process. If the Videos tab is not there, click the plus sign tab (+) on the right of all of them and select the videos tab or search the videos tab on the bottom of the menu box.

Myspace has always been a blog site where you can put html and have crazy backgrounds, cursors, pictures, and whatever you wanna write…

Facebook was originally for college students only to socialize and work on homework (I remember when I had to have a college email address in order to be allowed to sign up). Now it is open to all and has applications (games and stuff), but still does not allow html and is not so much about blogging as it is about keeping in touch with friends.

Does Fedex check to see if envelopes are sealed before actual shipping?

I dunno if I am paranoid or what, but today I had to ship my passport for visa stamping. I placed my passport inside the Fedex Envelope and I gave it to the Fedex/Kinkos Agent with my Online Shipping Label. He put the Label in a pouch just outside the Fedex envelope. However, I don’t remember him sealing the envelope because my cell phone rang in the middle while I was watching him so I was distracted for like 30 seconds.
I am betting he did or I didn’t notice because I got distracted, but I was wondering if they have a protocol to make sure envelopes are sealed before they are given to the drivers.

While I can’t say for sure, I think it’s safe to assume that the Fedex employee did in fact seal the envelope. Assuming he is a competent employee, I’m sure your passport will arrive at its destination without issue.

What will happen to my FedEx smart post package if I forgot my PO box?

Ok let me try again to ask the same question and please if u don’t know what FedEx smart post is DON’T ANSWER OKAY

1-I ordered a package from hot topic that they shipped FedEx smart post and weighs 2.7 pounds

2-FedEx smart post works with the USPS(us postal service. They get it as far as they can ten they give it to the USPS and have them deliver it for final delivery.

3-when I ordered the package I dident realize they were shipping it via FedEx smart post. So I did not add my PO box
(Because where I live we don’t have mail boxes we have the local postal building we have to go to to pick up packages and mail)

4-so if it is being delivered USPS what will happen to my package. It has my address on it but they don’t deliver because we don’t have mailboxes(don’t ask me why we don’t have mail boxes) and I forgot to add my PO box to the shipping address.

5-so what should I do go down to the postal building tommarow before it arrives Sunday and ask them to hold it for me so I will get it or will fedex send it to my door manually by 1 of their trucks because I have no PO box

It’s going to land at the post office. Either go there and tell them to hold it, or call them (USPS) on the phone and give them your PO Box (it’s in the same building, right?)

FedEx won’t be sending it to your door manually, no.

Your post office won’t even be open tomorrow though, it being a Sunday.
Monday is when you need to do these things.
Or I suppose you could go to the post office tomorrow and slip a note under the door describing the situation. Put a phone number on the memo so that they can contact you if need be.

How accurate will Fedex tracking be if it is tracking USPS as the final leg?

I ordered something from newegg and it was shipped via fedex. However fedex is using usps as the final leg. According to fedex tracking, it was transferred to usps in the city where I live and is out for delivery. However, the tracking is also saying it is expected to arrive on Wednesday July 3rd. I am just curious if anyone has any experience with this that will have more information about when I should actually expect my package?

Do FedEx and UPS usually drop off packages in weird places when no one is home?

It says my package was delivered about 10 days ago and I haven’t even seen a fedex truck in my neighborhood once. My brother said he found a package for him from fedex hidden in the bushes… I have no clue where my package is do they usually hide them in weird places?

The last FedEx package I received was placed on the Welcome mat at my front door. UPS usually drops my packages at the front door also. I used to have a UPS driver that would place my packages in my recycle tub by my back door. I’ve never had a delivery I had to look for from either company. I’ve had one delivery from DHL–a replacement credit card that was dropped at the front door that I feel should have been signed for but wasn’t.

After three attempts at delivering it will be held for three or four days to try to contact customer. It will then be sent back to shipper.

Just go to fedex.com and use the calculate time and cost tool under the shipping tab.

Fedex does not use average shipping costs, it’s all by zones (how far away), weights, type of address and how fast you need it there (including time of day)

How to teach math to an advanced 4 1/2 year old child?

My 4 year old son already knows the multiplication table, can add and subtract in the hundreds, and just loves math and numbers. His teachers in a Montessori school are doing a great job nurturing his love for math as well.

As a parent, what can I do to help him and nurture his passion for numbers? Any recommendations as to books or websites I can use?

Teach him abacus
Show him how math is used everywhere.
SUDOKU! It’s not really math, but it’s a fun thinking game that uses numbers.
Get puzzles that involve math.
Do the math-a-thon for St. Judes. The workbook/CD have math problems in a more entertaining mode.

Also, remember to encourage him in other areas, like writing.
