Carol asks…

Connecting Instagram to Facebook ISSUES?

I’m having issues connecting Instagram to Facebook on my Iphone. I’ve gone to help sites. I find NOTHING helpful. I go to SETTINGS > PRIVACY > FACEBOOK where one site told me to go and look for apps asking permissiion to connect. Nothing. Nothing about instagram..

I go to instagram settings to where I can change my sharing settings. I click on Facebook and “Instagram would like to post to your friends on your behalf”. I click okay. Then get “Facebook login failed. Make sure you’re allowed Instagram to use Facebook is iOS SETTINGS PRIVACY FACEBOOK. I look there, nothing. I look everywhere in settings. Nothing about Instagram at all.

I’ve installed and reinstalled the app masny times.

Michelle answers:

Updated IOS to 6.0.2 – that didn’t help.

But I found this answer in another Yahoo answers and it worked 🙂

I found the same problem this morning! Here’s how I EVENTUALLY (after not finding a solution online) solved the problem:
– Logged into my Facebook (on a computer)
– Typed Instagram into the search area
– Clicked on the “app” one
– Clicked on where it said “Send to mobile”
Then it seemed to work on my iPhone after that…

Hope this works for you all too!!

Your Questions About Fafsa

Paul asks…

If the FAFSA app needs to be in before February for scholarships can we estimate income?

To qualify for scholarships the FAFSA app needs to be processed before February but taxes won’t be done until over a month later. Can we give a qualified estimate of income for the year? Also, if we make too much money is it more likely we will be turned down by scholarships offered directly by colleges even if the grades meet their scholarship criteria.

Michelle answers:

Most people submit their FAFSA using estimated taxes based upon their prior year tax return. So yes, you may estimate your taxes and you should so you get first in line for financial aid, as some states in particular grant aid on a first-come first-served basis until the funds run out.

Some scholarships are need based and some are merit based. Some colleges only provide need based financial aid, while others provide both. There are also outside scholarships – again some are need based and some merit based. So for merit based scholarships, your income does not matter. Also, even families with income over $100,000 may qualify for some amount of financial aid, so always apply and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Good luck.

Mark asks…

Do you need to fill out the Fafsa to take out a private loan?

I took out a sallie mae private loan that was approved already and I was even given a disbursement date. The problem is when I called the college they said I should pay my tuition in cash, because they need me to fill out the Fafsa first? I thought private loans didn’t require a filing of the Fafsa? Does that make any sense to anyone? HELP. I don’t qualify for government aid because I didn’t take 24 cumulative credits last year. Thanks.

Michelle answers:

It sounds like the person at the school is confused. Probably heard you say sallie mae and saw you hadn’t done a fafsa.

It’s not needed for private student loans. The money will be sent directly to you and you just pay the bursar cash.

Jenny asks…

Can an illegal immigrant be deported if if you put that information on fafsa?

Im a legal us citizen applying for Fasfa. I only live with my mom who is not legal, if I put that information on my fafsa, will she get introuble for that? Can I trust it to put that infromation?

Michelle answers:

Unfortunately, because your Mom is not legal, you will either have to pay out-of-pocket, wait until you are 24 or otherwise meet independent student criteria (per FAFSA… Example being join the military)

Mary asks…

Will changes on fafsa hurt my finanicial aid?

I already filed my fafsa but i had to make some really minor changes on it and then re-submit it.
If it is re-submitted after the deadline will it be accepted?
I submitted the originall fafsa on time, but the re-submitted one is past the deadline.

Michelle answers:

Sabriel:

First of all, I would encourage you to make any necessary changes – 30% of all FAFSA applications are randomly selected every year for a process known as “verification”. If your FAFSA is chosen, you’ll receive a letter from the financial aid office, asking you to document some of the information that you provided on the FAFSA. If the numbers on the documents don’t match the numbers you provided, your school will be required to redo your aid analysis, and you could wind up with a very different aid package.

If your changes are as minor as you’ve suggested, the changes probably won’t have any effect on your aid offer. To be very honest, a student with an EFC of 7101 is going to be offered pretty much the exact same aid package as a student with an EFC of 10304.

The only situation where you might worry about how those changes will affect you would be a situation where you had an EFC very near 4041, the cut-off for qualifying for “need-based aid”. If a student received an initial EFC of 4038, and made minor changes to his/her FAFSA, it’s quite possible that the new EFC could “jump” to 4052, a change that would make that student ineligible for a Pell Grant.

Unless you’re hovering right around 4041, you won’t have anything to worry about when you correct your FAFSA. Good luck!

Your Questions About Facebook Login

David asks…

What to do when MW3 facebook login says already registered?

i made a new facebook account and i wanted to upload some videos from Call of Duty ModernWarfare3 and i have an xbox360.

Michelle answers:

Well if you have registered the game on another facebook account then you have to remove the game from that old account first either by deleting your CoD:MW3 info from Xbox 360 (NOT SAVED GAMES!!!) or from that old Facebook account.

It’s best to ask Facebook customer service first though, because I use Cloud to backup my game save files and delete whole game from console if I have problems like that.

Betty asks…

How do you remove saved e-mail addresses on facebook?

Every time I try to log into facebook it always shows the list of past email addresses that have been signed onto facebook in the login box. I have tried to highlight the email addresses on the login screen and delete them like that but it doesn’t work, and I have also tried to go to clear recent history and do the time range to clear to everything and also clearing the form and browser history but it never clears the emails. Is there any other way I can clear them besides those?

Michelle answers:

These are the simple & easy steps to remove saved email from facebook:
1.Click Tool at the top-right corner of any Facebook page and select Account Settings
2.Click General in the column on the left and then click on the Email section.
3.Click Remove to delete an address from your account .
4.Save your changes.

Susan asks…

How do you delete Facebook login history on a Mac?

Whenever i go onto facebook and type in the first letter of my username, the whole username comes up, which is normally fine, but recently i accidently typed my password into the username box, so that now pops up whenever i type the first letter :s….how can i delete the login history on facebook? i use google chrome

Michelle answers:

Click on the thing that looks like a screwdriver on the top right of the browser.
Click on Tools, then click on ‘Clear Browsing data’
Make sure the boxes that say ‘clear auto-fill’ and ‘clear saved passwords’ are checked.
Clear your data
It should be gone after that.
Or:
Type the first character at the address-bar. Press the down key. Delete.
This will remove only the history of the selected page.

Robert asks…

How can I recover my old facebook account easily and effectively?

I want to recover my old facebook account because of some privacy concern. Any good suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Simply give your email in facebook login page and follow the instructions of facebook and request for your account activation, no any other way to reopen facebook account

Your Questions About Forever 21

Lisa asks…

What size is a size 30 jeans in Forever 21?

Is forever 21 based on waist size. I am buying online so I am a little confused, It’s my first time buying JEANS from Forever 21.

Michelle answers:

Waist (in): 30 means size L
http://www.forever21.com/images/sizechart/chart_1_2.gif
so if get a tape measurer get the size of you waist and then on the size chart on the page of the item it will tell you if you are a S M or L or it will say 1/2 that is an extra small 3/4-5/6 is a small 7/8- 9/10 is a medium and a 11/12 is large

to read the chart look at the top so if i am a small i will look at the S on the top of the chart then i will follow down that column if the sizing for a certain item is measured waist size, like the jeans, i will look across the side of the chart where it says waist (in) and find my waist size i am a 25 waist so then when i get my size when ordering i click 25. If you are a 30 you click 30. If you are a 30 waist but the jean is measure by the 1/2-11/12 thing you could click 11/12 because if you follow the column upwards for 30 waist it shows that you are 11/12 and a large

umm its kinda confusing but i hope i helped a little hehe :/

Paul asks…

Where does Forever 21 get their clothes from?

I’m wanting to open a juniors boutique similar to XXI/Forever 21 and was wondering if anyone knew where they get their clothes from or where they get them made at? In general if anyone knows of a good wholesaler for juniors clothes, the information would be much appreciated!:) Thank you in advance.

Michelle answers:

They make all their clothes in their factories. And some are purchased at wholesale factories in Los Angeles which they take their tags off and sew their tags on.

Best place to get wholesale clothes is in LA

George asks…

Does Forever 21 get their clothing from sweat shops?

As a socially concious shopper, I’d like to know the origins of my clothing prior to purchase. Amid the great debate over forever 21‘s use of sweatshops, I’d like some answers. Thank you!

Michelle answers:

No they don’t and whats your beef with sweat shops. I know its not right and cruel, however would you rather the people that work their go homeless?

Jenny asks…

how long does forever 21 take to deliver to philadelphia?

Your Questions About Firefox

Mary asks…

How to make FireFox restore last open tabs automatically?

I’ve recently installed Mozilla FireFox onto my computer but I want to know how to make it restore my last tabs automatically. I’ve had it do this before, but now I’ve forgotten how. Any help?

Michelle answers:

Go to Tools > Preferences > Main Tab: You will see an Option to “Open Last Page When Starting Firefox(or words to that effect). Check the Box > Click “Ok and/or Apply” and that is it.

Good Luck.

Nancy asks…

Is it possible to have different browsers for different users on Windows 7? IE vs FireFox vs Chrome vs Safari?

I think the answer is yes but I want to make sure before I do something stupid. I have Firefox running on my laptop, but this PC is running Internet Explorer. Could I set my user to run Firefox while leaving Internet Explorer for the other users? And, I have only used IE and Firefox, what are your opinions on Opera, Safari, and Chrome? Thanks!

Michelle answers:

Firefox is the best

Donna asks…

How can I turn on/enable the feature that allows to preview personas in Firefox?

When ever I am browsing for personas in Firefox 4, it’s supposed to auto preview the persona when I mouse over the persona in the list of personas in the search results, but for some reason I just does not do it for my computer. How can I get it to auto preview the firefox personas when I mouse over them?

Michelle answers:

If you have “NoScript” that will block it.

Are you using the path Tools> Personas method?
Preview on the Personas website ‘gallery’ and determine what one you want to ‘preview’.

The ‘temporary’ display is glitchy when using the website from the browser, but does work if you go to Firefox> Tools> Personas> cursor over the side window> advance down the list & sub-list, then pause for a few moments.

To temporarily display a few select items:
Tools> Personas> (in right box, cursor over topics)> cursor over random items & pause for the image to load into the background> tick to make permanent.

Lisa asks…

Your Questions About Fedex

Susan asks…

If fedex sent a package at 3:20 PM what time will it arrive the next day?

My sony ps3 is broken and i sent it to sony. Now sony is sending it back, if it arrived at the fedex shipping location at 3:20 what time will it arrive tomorrow?

Michelle answers:

Which FedEx location has it?

Does the tracking info say “destination facility”? If no, you’ve got to wait for it to go through the hub(s).

If yes, it should be loaded on a truck for delivery tomorrow. When it’s loaded the tracking info will change to “on truck for delivery”.

What time the driver arrives at your house just depends on where you are on his route. It could be anywhere from 7:30 a to 7:00 p. If the PS3 requires a signature, leave a note on the door with your signature in case you miss the driver.

Thomas asks…

Fedex posted my estimated delivery date for a Monday?

I’ve heard that Fedex doesn’t deliver on Mondays, but the schedule for my package on their website says it should be delivered on the 21st, which is a Monday. Will I get my package on the 21st? If it helps, I used standard overnight delivery via Verizon Wireless.

Michelle answers:

Fedex does deliver on Mondays. If Fedex says that you are going to get it on Monday, then unless something goes very wrong, you will be receiving your package. If they (Verizon) gave you a tracking number then you can make sure that you’re going to get it by going to http://www.fedex.com/tracking

Donna asks…

FedEx could my package come before estimated delivery date?

I have been taking it for About 6 days now and it just got to FedEx smart poast kansas city kansas at 9.22pm it’s 32 miles from my house ruffly 34 min away but the estimated date is the 22nd is it possible it could come before?

Michelle answers:

They gave it to the post office for delivery. You’ll be lucky to get it by the weekend.

Charles asks…

Is it possible to design business cards in the fedex/kinkos store?

I want to be able to walk into a fedex store and choose a business card design + print on the spot. Does fedex/kinkos do this or do I have to go online?

Laura asks…

How do you post to another site using facebook profile ?

Many non facebook sites now require you to post using your facebook profile. For some reason I can’t, it says I’m not signed in to facebook; I sign in and it still doesn’t allow it. I thought it was a facebook problem or a glitch, but could it be my computer ? Settings ?

Michelle answers:

Thats not the bug or problem. Its a web application lets user comment/registration with ur fb profile.you (if you are the web developer and have site) have to make a web application with facebook graph api for availing this feature on your website. Thats the headache of the the web developers, not the users.

So if a website allow you to comment via your fb profile, then you have to logged in in your fb account. But after that if u can’t comment, thats the problem of the web application, not yours. 🙂

Your Questions About Food Network

James asks…

What is the best magazine for food and wine? ?

My girlfriend loves Top Chef and the Food Network, so a cooking and food magazine subscription would be a great idea for present for her. Anyone know the best one to get? Food & Wine Magazine? Bon Appetit? …any others?

Thanks for your help!

Michelle answers:

There are tons and tons of cooking/food magazines out there. You can look through a big list at: http://www.subscription.com/magazines/cooking-food/

http://www.subscription.com/bon-appetit/ – only $15
http://www.subscription.com/gourmet/ – My favorite! $15

Daniel asks…

What is the difference between a skillet and a griddle?

I always make chicken and other kinds of meats in a skillet, but when I watch food network or when I go out to eat, the meats are mostly grilled. Does that really make a difference in taste? Because it seems that a skillet and a griddle are the same …
Ok, but, in restaurants when they say grilled something, it’s not actually grilled in those outside grills, right? So what’s the difference between making something grilled or making something in a skillet?

Michelle answers:

Skillets and fry pans are the same thing. They are typically round with sides. A griddle is flat with no sides. Grilling is something totally different.

Robert asks…

How to cook lemon-peppered breaded chicken breasts?

I saw an episode on the FOOD network on how to cook lemon-peppered chicken breasts and I cant find the recipe… can anyone help me find any recipe on how to cook that properly?

Michelle answers:

Breaded Chicken Cutlets
From Food Network Kitchens
Show: How To Boil Water
Episode: Crispy Breaded Chicken Cutlets
10 slices white bread or 1 1/4 cups bread crumbs*
1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme leaves or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
About 1 cup all-purpose flour, for dredging
2 large eggs, beaten
4 boneless skinless chicken breast, each about 6 ounces
1/3 to 1/2 cup oil, for shallow frying

Serving suggestion: Lemon wedges, thyme sprigs for garnish

*(Use a bread with low or no sugar content-otherwise, like sourdough or the coating will brown too quickly)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

To make bread crumbs: Trim the crust off the bread and discard, tear bread into pieces. Spread bread out on a microwave-safe plate, and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute to dry out the bread. (Alternately, spread the bread out on a baking sheet and dry in a preheated 300 degree F oven for 22 to 25 minutes.) Pulse the dried bread or crumbs in a food processor with the thyme, lemon zest, 3/4 teaspoon salt, and pepper.

With the flat side of a cook’s knife or the smooth side of a meat-pounder, pound each breast to equal thickness. Put the flour, eggs, and the bread crumbs each separately in 3 shallow dishes. Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. Dip each breast into the flour, then shake off the excess. Next, run the breast through the egg to coat it lightly and hold the chicken over the liquid to let any excess fall back into the bowl. Finally, lay the chicken in the bread crumbs, turn it over and press it into the breading to coat. Lay on a piece of waxed paper.

Heat a large skillet (12 inches in diameter) over medium heat. Add the oil. Lay 2 chicken breasts smooth-side down in the pan. Cook the chicken without turning until beginning to brown, about 2 minutes. Turn the chicken and cook until equally brown on the other side, about 2 minutes more. Repeat with the remaining 2 breasts. Transfer chicken to a paper towel lined plate to drain. Place all 4 breasts on a rack over a baking pan and bake until firm to the touch, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

John asks…

How do I find work in a Diner/Dive restaurant?

I love that show on the Food Network, “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” I think is the name. I just want to learn to cook that greasy food or serve it. Anyone know how to obtain that kind of job?

Michelle answers:

Easy as pie. Find the diner of your choice. Make sure you do your homework so you know that it it really filthy.

Next walk in, blow the manager and ask for a job. If you’re still not qualified. Move on. McDonalds is always hiring.

Your Questions About Fafsa

George asks…

Sending FAFSA information to a new college?

I’m currently attending a community college in Kansas, but it’s not right for me, so I’m transferring to a community college in Mississippi for the spring semester (all online classes for my Associates).
I have five schools listed on my FAFSA, and I just went and added the college I’m planning on to it and saved it.
Do I have to get it processed again? Will my information be sent to that college upon my save or do I have to get it sent there somehow?
I just need all my information transferred to this new school.
Thanks!

Michelle answers:

Once you have added a school code that school will automatically receive your FAFSA, usually within 3 days.

Laura asks…

Can you still get money with the fafsa even if you got a full scholarship?

Im a junior in high school so I am just curious on the subject. Say I got a full scholarship to a certain college, can I still receive money from filling out the fafsa? Im just curious because I dont know if the fafsa is a grant or a scholarship. Thanks so much!

Michelle answers:

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid–it is the application form for all types of federal student aid, including grants (money you don’t pay back), loans (money that you do pay back) and work-study funding (money that is paid as wages for a part time job, usually on campus).

Every college must have a Cost of Attendance budget. This budget includes the school’s direct charges, such as tuition and fees, but also average amounts for other educational expenses such as books, transportation and living expenses. If you receive more funding than is needed to pay the school’s direct charges, then the school will refund the difference back to you, usually in the form of a check or debit card. You can then use this money to pay for the indirect educational expenses in your COA budget. So, if you are lucky enough to receive a scholarship that covers all of the school’s direct charges, you can still receive federal grants and loans to help pay for the indirect costs.

There are some situations where this may not work. In some cases, scholarships are limited to the amount that a student needs for tuition and/or fees after all federal financial aid is taken into consideration. So, if you receive a Pell grant, that would be deducted first and your scholarship would only pay for what was left. Another situation involves student loans. A student may not borrow more than the Cost of Attendance at the school, so it’s possible that your loans would have to be reduced if you go over that limit when the loans are combined with the scholarship.

It is a good idea to complete the FAFSA even if you don’t think you will need it. “Full” scholarships sometimes only cover tuition, but often there are substantial costs (fees, books, insurance, room and board, etc) that are not covered. Your financial aid administrator will take all of this into account and adjust your aid if needed.

Sharon asks…

How do I change my Fafsa application to a different school?

I filled out my Fafsa application, but I put it in for the wrong school. Do I have to fill another application out or do I contact the school?

Michelle answers:

Just go change the school code.

Susan asks…

Is it too late to apply to fafsa for spring 2014?

Ok so I just graduated high school in 2013 and i wasn’t planning on going to college for a year because I wanted to take time off to work full time and save money. But now basically my whole life got switched around and I really want to try to go college sooner. I know it’s past the deadline, but I was wondering if its too late to sign up so I can start school in the spring (Janurary 21, 2014). Will it FAFSA accept it at such late notice? And if not when will I be able to apply to fafsa and go to college?

Michelle answers:

You still have time to fill out FAFSA

your school may be past the deadlines to process for Spring semester

you may or may not be too late for State fin aid application

check with fin aid office at your school
getting aid in place by Jan more likely to happen at a community college than a university

What educational computer game is this?

I remember it Vaguely from when I was younger. It was like an arcade, and each video game machine took you to a different game. I can’t really remember any of them except for one that was math themed and had asteroids, and another one where you shot ducks at a carnival. I’ll bet no one has even the slightest idea what game I’m talking about, but if anyone does, and could tell me, that would be highly appreciated.
