Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Blog

Carol asks…

Had a natural miscarriage & period has decreased over the months to not having one at all?

Back in August I had a natural miscarriage at 8 weeks. It was a blighted ovum. I bled for a week and then 2 weeks later I had my period and bled for 4 days(I usually bleed 6-7 days). 30 days passed before I got my next period and this time I only bled for 3 days. Then 35 days passed before I got my period again and this time I bled for about 5 days but it was light(usually it’s moderate to heavy bleeding). And now, it’s been well over a month and a half and still no period. I’ve taken a pregnancy test last week and one today and they both were negative. I’m worried that something is wrong or that my period is just all out of whack now after the miscarriage.

Just a little background. I use to have PCOS(Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and my period was very irregular… as a teen it was every other month after a course of 5-6 years it was twice a year. After I had my first child my period became very regular, same thing after I had my second child. Because I had PCOS it took me 5 years to conceive. I would like to have a couple of more kids but am afraid that maybe somethings wrong since my period seems to be getting worse and worse. I don’t have health insurance until Feb, so I can’t schedule and appointment with my OB yet. Can someone help me out. Every post or blog I’ve seen they usually say that there period become regular by the 3rd to 5th month after having a miscarriage… So why is it that it seems to be that my period is getting worse and worse… My worst fear is that I won’t be able to conceive anymore.

Michelle answers:

First, there is no *cure* for PCOS. It’s chronic, which means once you have it, you have it…but sometimes it’s under control more times than others.

It sounds to me like this last pregnancy triggered your PCOS symptoms again. What you’re describing smacks very loud of a hormone imbalance.

The only thing you can do is wait it out until February and then get the hormones you’ll need to jumpstart your cycles again.

You may or may not need medical intervention to conceive in the future. But either way, there’s no reason to believe you won’t ever conceive again.

Good luck.

Sharon asks…

Trying to conceieve 🙂 what are yours tips?!?

So hi everyone I noticed alot of people are trying to conceieve .. my first took well over 3 yrs..
I have collected a BUNCH of tips.. and would like to ask you …what are your NATURAL tips to conceive**** old wives tales… stories.. experiences.. let me know!!!!

http://www.powerful-readings.com/apps/blog/show/3647466-conception-pregnancy-help-tips-old-wives-tales-

I am trying again for baby #2 and hoping to make it quicker this time around hahaha
XOXOX to the moms fathers and people trying to conceive!!!!

Sincerely Chairity***
Ps.. I am collecting tips and old wives tales to inspire others!!!! As well as myself! 😉
XOXOXOX

Michelle answers:

The biggest wives tale is to ‘relax’ … That one cracks me up!

I don’t know if you are talking herbal supplements to help you concieve. There are things like soy isoflavins, Vitex, vitamin B complex etc…
Some swear by baby aspirin after ovulation, preseed, robitussin before ovulation or evening primrose oil to increase your CM.
I’ve heard grapefruit is somehow helpful.

Everyone says to stay lying down for at least 10 minutes… Some say with your legs in the air.. Some say you can lie on your stomach with your butt in the air…. Thats standard fare though

I heard that you can conceive easier on ‘special’ days… But I ovulated ON my 1 year wedding anniversary last month and it didn’t help, lol.

I’ve heard you can dangle an needle on a thread over your wrist to find out how many children you will have and what sex they will be.

The only sensible choice is McCain.
Obama’s “change” campaign is losing steam.
This is typical that when people get past the personalitlies and start to focus on the issues someone so extremely liberal as Obama is going to lose.

People do want change, they just don’t want socialism

Your Questions About Natural Remedies In Pregnancy

Thomas asks…

Natural Antidepressants During Pregnancy?

Hello,

I am in need of help. I am pregnant in my 2nd Trimester and have felt considerable depression during my pregnancy. Symptoms include: Lethargic, unable to get out of bed, no desire to socialize or participate in family activities, loss of desire to complete daily tasks. I have two other children ages 7 and 2yrs old and my depression is becoming burdensome and a distracting me from caring for my other children. I am experiencing intense sadness and loss of interest in daily endeavors. These symptoms are very different than normal pregnancy hormone related symptoms as they are more intense and dark in nature. I have discussed with my doctor but I do not want to take prescription medications and would like to consider all natural antidepressants.I have heard that Sam-E is supposedly good, however I want to make sure that any natural antidepressants I may take will not have harmful side effects on the baby while I am pregnant.

Question:
Are there any SAFE all natural Antidepressant remedies available to take during pregnancy?

Thank you for your help.

Michelle answers:

I’m so sorry to hear about that.
As much as I wish I could say it, most antidepressants (including natural ones) aren’t safe during pregnancy or haven’t been tested for safety during pregnancy enough. What I can recommend is to make sure you are either having sufficient amounts of Vitamin D and/or adequate direct sunlight exposure (depending on how cold it is where you are and the availability of natural sunlight). Sunlight exposure and the Vitamin D content that the body gets from that has been shown to help the mood in addition to helping with the absorption of Calcium.
If that’s not enough, I would definitely consult with a natural doctor if you’re able to… They may have more options if they can look at your specific condition and find out what’s causing the depression.
Good luck with everything and congratulations on the baby!

Lizzie asks…

Only natural remedies?

Anyone here use ONLY natural remedies and herbs and things for pregnancy and birth? Do you have a good list of what you used and what is was good for? Any good lists on the internet?
Thanks in advance.

Michelle answers:

Throught my pregnancy i’ve only used natural remedies, i’ve always been into the homeopathic stuff though so it was pretty easy for me. At your local bookstore they should have a book on herbs and what they are used for and such. Http://www.greatestherbsonearth.com/nsp_homeopathic_remedies.htm is a good place to buy them at, i wouldn’t reccomend making your own with no experience. Congratulations and good luck!

John asks…

what is best natural remedy to take for urinary infection in pregnancy?

Michelle answers:

Cranberry juice. Drink loads of it!! Forgot to mention it, get checked out by the doctor. I had 3 overnight stays in hospitals when I was expecting my first child. In fact it got so bad with the pain and that, at 32 weeks I thought I had another infection and decided I did not want to go to hospital agian so took some painkillers and tried to get to sleep. A couple oof hours later I could not put up with the pain anymore so went to the hospital only to be told I was in labour and if I had come in earlier they could have tried to stop it!!
IApparently the UTIs had done something to make me go into an early labour. 1hr 33mins later I had my little boy 4lb11oz, he was healthy but had to stay in hospital for 8 days

George asks…

Toothache and pregnant any natural remedies?

right now i cant go to the dentist… long story but my insurance is difficult. I have been taking tylenol but it doesnt help much if at all. Is there any other home remedy that is pregnancy safe that may help take this grueling pain away? I am 35 weeks along in my pregnancy and cant really see a dentist til after i have the baby due to my insurance… please let me know if u have any ideas as to what may work to take the pain away that is safe to my pregnancy and isnt tylenol…

Michelle answers:

I have terrible dental hygiene and get AWFUL toothaches occasionally. Whenever I do, I immediately brush my teeth. I also keep minty mouthwash which I use to rinse out my mouth. Then I take Tylenol. I also use the liquid Orajel (there’s another brand, Anbesol, that works well)… I DOUSE a Q-tip in the Orajel and then I rub it over my tooth & gums. Then I put it over the area that hurts on the gum and I LEAVE IT THERE for like 10 minutes. After that, I lay down on the side that DOESN’T hurt.

My biggest advice, though, is not to mess with your tooth when it hurts. Unless you know that there’s something stuck in there, you don’t want to be messing with it. You will only make it worse. And then the pain will continue for an extended time. Keep from running your tongue over it, sucking on the tooth, and keep your fingers out of your mouth.

Sometimes, icy water or hot tea works to soothe the tooth, too. I would stay away from those, though, until you’ve tried brushing, mouthwash, Tylenol and Orajel and waiting at least 30 minutes after, because you could make the pain worse.

If you can, though, try to manage dental insurance, because these things can indicate infection which is bad for the baby. Believe me, I totally understand that dental work is expensive and often seems like a luxury, but if you can work it out, it’s definitely worth it!

Your Questions About Oldest Natural Pregnancy

Paul asks…

Is it possible to have a pregnancy without being poked and prodded?

I am 26, married, and I am absolutely terrified of becoming pregnant! I have a few friends who are currently pregnant, and a few who just had babies, and the stories I hear make me so afraid!
My co-worker is 6 months pregnant, and she tells me every detail of what she goes through with her pregnancy. For instance, she just had a glucose test where they made her drink a disgusting sugar drink and then had diarrhea for 3 days. She told me about an anal exam, blood work, (I’m also terrified of needles) and a whole lot of other tests that doctors “require” to help you have a baby.

So, here’s my question: Is it possible to have a natural pregnancy? No blood work, no anal exams, no glucose tests, just plain old pregnancy. (I mean, with birth death rates being what they are, should we even be messing with nature?)
This is what I mean about the childbirth deathrates:
“**ETA**The fact is the United States has the highest pregnancy related death rates of any “civilized” country and the most interference with pregnancy and childbirth.”
OMG some of these answers are absolutely ridiculous! Obviously I know I can have a child without seeing a doctor seeing as billions of people have had children without doctors. That’s not my question.

I thought I might clear things up: I am actually looking for a way to research the subject of having a baby IN AMERICA without all the lab work. I tried looking on google for “natural pregnancy” but all I keep getting is how to GET pregnant naturally. Or, how to have natural childbirth (ie-without drugs.) Is this something that’s practiced in the US, or any other civilized country? Like, if I get a midwife or Doula when I finally become pregnant, will they still require all that awful testing?

Michelle answers:

Possible? Yes. Think of all the generations of people having them before creative marketing of modern medicine began portraying pregnancy as a dangerous medical condition. You can decide to have minimal amounts of tests or not at all. It’s up to you.

Also think of what makes you think you should have a baby despite your strong aversion? Society? Because everyone else does? Because someone would be greatly disappointed if you don’t? With overpopulation that we are facing now it’s smarted to adopt.

James asks…

C section first pregnancy, and second will be natural, will my tummy go down this time.?

Any experiences of your tummy going down after having c section, and then having a natural birth. I am not far apart, son 14 months old. My tummy didnt go down alot with my first, then i fell pregnant, if i breastfeed will it go down, if i dont willl it go down as it is a different birth.
Im doing a vbac

Michelle answers:

If your first was a c-section you can’t have natural birth. You’ll continue with c-sections.

Linda asks…

Would I still have a natural protection against pregnancy while breast feeding?

I am currently breast feeding my 8 months old, she is on solids foods as well. I have not had my period back. I know during the first few months you have some what of a natural protection against pregnancy while breast feeding, my questions is at 8 months do you still have one. I know it’s not %100 effective, even during the first few months.

My husband and I are using condoms, but one failed to work. So now I am a little worried. I know it’s possible because I would not know if I am ovulating or not.
It broke, probable wasn’t on correctly.
ladyren: For your information I know I can get pregnant! I did take sex-ed, and have a very good understanding of how reproduction works. My question was do you still have a natural protection. I know nothing is %100 effective.

BTW
We both are perfectly fine with having another baby, if it happens it happens. I would like to have them a little bit apart, but am OK if they are not.
I called the pharmacist and they said you can not take Plan B while breast feeding. I would have to not breast fed.

Michelle answers:

After 6 months the effectiveness of lactational amenhorrhea drops — but it isn’t an abrupt drop. (It isn’t like you have a 1% chance of pregnancy during the first 6 months, and then a 90% at 7 months. It’s more like a 3-5% chance during that 6-9 month time frame. (Assuming you haven’t had a period. Once you do, all bets are off.)

There is certainly a chance of pregnancy, but it’s still pretty small if you haven’t had a period. So I’d try not to fret about it. If you get pregnancy symptoms, test. If a pregnancy would be a disaster, consider PlanB. (Safe nursing moms.)

EDIT: The pharmacy may be being overcautious. (or uneducated about lactation — going by the package insert, which is ALWAYS over cautious). PlanB is just a high dose of progestins, and progestins ARE safe to use while breastfeeding. Kellymom lists it is catagory L2 — about as safe as it gets.

Thomas asks…

What is the risk of pregnancy?

My boyfriend, (we are in a comitted relationship) and we both prefer natural contraception. He doesn’t ever ejaculate in me but what are chances on pregnancy?
PS: Were old enough to take care of the consequences if our method fails.

Michelle answers:

Natural contraception? You mean the pull out method? Well the reliability of that is very, very, very, slim. I am glad to hear that you are prepared to take care of a child if you do become pregnant because at the counseling center where I work, we call people who practice this method one thing…..Parents!
Good luck!

Your Questions About Natural Ivf

Nancy asks…

Natural IVF?

I’m on day 7 and I had an ultrasound today to discover that I have a follicle that is 11mm. Is that considered a normal size for the time in my cycle? My FS said that if it grows to a decent size then they will do a pick up. Does anyone know what the right size of my follicle should be for pick up? I’m new at all this, hence all the questions. Has anyone had success with a natural IVF cycle? natural being no drugs such are puregon.
Grateful for your insight.

Michelle answers:

Hi there, the size they need to be for pick up is 17mm. I have been looking into it as im about to start ivf in a few weeks. Good luck, not that you need it. You will be fine.

Steven asks…

Has anyone did a natural or mini IVF?

I had a tubal reversal 2/08/07. I followed my doctors orders by using a condom. But it broke. We only had sex the one time. I had an eptopic pg. My GYN had to remove my only tube. So now I need IVF. I know my chances are good for mini stimilation or natural IVF. Because I am 28 and already have 2 kids. My husband is younger than me and doesnt have any children. besides that i got pg with only a 2.5 cm tube. So if anyone has gone threw a cycle of natural or mini IVF, please let me know where, how much, and the outcome please. I am tring to find a place that I can afford, in the US, Mexico, or Canada. Thanks alot.

Michelle answers:

I dont know much about mini/natural IVF, cause I will be starting IVF soon with meds. I know here in the US, IVF is very expensive. My RE charges $9000 for the IVF, which includes the surgery center, the anesthiologist fees and the egg retrieval and the embryo transfer. And it will cost another $3000 to $4000 for the medications. So even if your not going to need the injections, you will still need the anesthiologist, they still have to do a egg retrieval and the embryo transferring which will be around $9000.00. Most insurances in the US do not cover fertiltiy treatment, so you will either have to finance it or pay cash.

Richard asks…

Any websites on natural ivf alternatives?

Preferably one with testimonials?
There is no problem nitram, or else i would listed them. im just curious and am looking for websites/books and stuff.

Michelle answers:

There are natural and safer alternatives to IVF. The website I’m linking you to has testimonials from women who went with the holistic treatments and mind-body healing to get pregnant.

James asks…

Oldest age a woman gave birth using her own egg, natural or ivf?

What’s the oldest age known at which a woman gave birth using her *own egg*? Natural conception or via IVF?
(I know there are women over 50 or perhaps 60 giving birth but they used donor eggs)

Michelle answers:

My mom was 50 when she had my sister and had no complications at all. Anything is possible.

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Remedies

John asks…

Big break out on my face! Help! Any natural remedies?

Hi, I am ttc-ing (1 week late, so I might be pregnant) and I have been unusually breaking out for the past 2 weeks. I used proactiv and that did not work. I just break out again the next morning. Then I read that salicylic acid and benzyol peroxide can be bad for you during pregnancy or ttc-ing, so I stopped using it as of this week. Any safe, natural tips/remedies/advice you can share?? Thanks 🙂

P.S.: Already drinking 6-8 glasses of water (no soda, no sugary drinks, no caffeine), and wash twice daily with mild oil-free soap.

Michelle answers:

You could try toothpaste or tea tree oil. Or an egg white mask. All you do is put egg white on your face and let it dry. To speed up the drying process use a hair dryer. If you use those biore pore strips that like rip out the gunk, instead you could use glue. Like white kid glue, put it on your nose, let it dry and then peel it off. Literally it’s like the same exact effect.

Steven asks…

Are there any natural and effective remedies for restless leg?

I have had restless leg with both of my pregnancies and ended up on Ambien to be able to sleep. But last night and this morning (no, I am not pregnant) my legs feel like they are being tickled from the inside. I need something I can do today/tonight to help them feel better. I know not to have any alcohol or caffeine today. Is there anything else I can do?

Michelle answers:

Restless Leg – Recommended Protocol

Supplements:
Calcium 1500-2000 mg daily in divided doses- between meals and at bedtime.
Magnesium 1000 mg daily
Melatonin 1.5 mg daily, gradually increasing dosage until effective level is reached. (up to 5 mg daily)
B Complex
Inositol 100 mg at bedtime

Herbs:
Hops, Passionflower, Skullcap, Valerian, Catnip or Chamomile.

General recommendations:
In addition to caffeine and alcohol, avoid nicotine, pork products, cheese, and chocolate.
Take a hot bath one hour before bedtime.

Donald asks…

What should be the homely remedies to have a painless childbirth?

Hello, actually i m having my first pregnancy & i want to know how can i get a child naturally(normal) means without operation & without any pain or with less pain & i need any natural remedy. Please help because i m very scared of pains.

Michelle answers:

Chase’s mom: Do you think women go through natural child birth solely for the bragging rights? Just so they can tell everyone that they had a “natural” birth? Come one….

You can’t have a natural birth that is pain free. I would recommend taking natural birthing classes to prepare yourself and boost your confidence that you can do it. The more you know the better you will feel about it. Think of it as pain with a purpose. You just need to learn how to deal with the pain and work through it. Lamaze, Bradley method, and Hypnobirthing are all good methods to try. Do some research on them and pick one then find a class in your area.

Chris asks…

Natural remedies to regulate mentrual cycle?(WOMEN)?

Do not tell me birth control pills, I got off of birth control a few months ago, and afterwards my period was every 34 days..but this month it came on 5 days late. I am not getting back on bc pills, so does anyone know any natural remedies, and such, that you have personally tried to make your period become more regular? I have alot of stress too, so this is a major cause, so even coping with stress tips to make my cycle ease a bit, will be helpful. Thanks!!
It bothers me because I want to be pregnant, I think I am, then my period comes. So now I’m n ot even going to even bother with thinking of pregnancy, whenever it happens, it happens. I’m thinking and stressing too much.
Thanks for any advice.
anyone?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle answers:

If u want to get pregent, have a doctor artificly get you pergent by takeing ur husband ceman and youre egg cell and ejecting the cell into youre egg. Do this to 2 to8 eggs for a better chance of getting pregent

Your Questions About Natural Remedies Pregnancy Sickness

Steven asks…

Anyone know any good remedies for morning sickness?

Hi there, I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been feeling really ill this past couple of weeks. I’m not new to this pregnancy thing at all as this is my fourth child, but I have never experienced morning sickness, fortunately! I’m not actually vomitting but am feeling constantly nausiated no matter what I eat or drink, and it is not just the mornings, it can be all through the day until I go to bed at night!
I would love to know if anyone has any natural remedies for this. I do know that everyone is different and some things work for some and not others, but I would really appreciate your help.
I would prefer not to take any pills of any sort, if possible. Thanks

Michelle answers:

Green tea is nice for morning sickness.
Healthy too.
Sometimes milk helps but it might not do so well.
Crackers help alot too.
Maybe some plain toast? Alot like a cracker.
Eating a shaving of fresh ginger whenever a wave of nausea hits works really well. You can buy it in a little plastic container wherever sushi is sold.
Potato chips go down well and feel good while they are there! Do not eat the fat-free potato chips with
that newly approved fat substitute in them, olestra, this substance has been proven to carry important nutrients out of your body, before they can be digested. The salt and
vinegar chips can ease nausea especially well and here is why. Many women experience a lot of queasiness and morning sickness during pregnancy because their saliva glands excrete more saliva than usual. All the excess saliva in the mouth makes you feel sick. The salt and vinegar on the potato chips dries up the excess saliva. Thus, it reduces or totally eliminates the queasiness and morning sickness.

How to alleviate morning sickness during pregnancy?

Hey guys, my wife is in the bed and is terrible condition. This is our second baby and it seems her morning sickness is back stronger than before. Last time it lasted about 2 months and we’re about 2 weeks into the second one. We’re looking for some natural remedies that could help her out…

Michelle answers:

Have her eat small meals throughout the day- even snacks, but at least every two hours. If her stomach is really full or empty, it’ll make it worse.

If you can, take some food to her. With mine, I couldn’t stand the thought of making food, but if someone brought it to me, I was able to eat it- I guess because I didn’t have to think about it.

Try to get her to eat protein, also, not just carbohydrates. While carbohydrates may be more appetizing, the protein stays in her system longer (for me, cheese or peanut butter crackers helped).

Have her take smalls sips of water throughout the day. Buy some Popsicles- they’ll keep her hydrated, and they honestly help my stomach.

People recommend ginger, but honestly, it didn’t help me much. You can try Sea Bands- from the pharmacy, they’re designed for motion-sickness, but they help a lot of women.

Chris asks…

What are some good cures for morning sickness?

Help, I am 7.5 weeks pregnant and soooo sick. With my first pregnancy, I had morning sickness maybe twice and it was so mild I hardly noticed. So now I don’t know how to cope with this. I’ve lost 12 pounds and my doctor put me off school for 3 weeks. I need remedies that work!!! I cannot take diclectin, and gravol seems to makeme more nauseous so any natural remedies would be great!! thanks.

Michelle answers:

The best thing to do is keep saltines or cheerios and a can of room temp ginger ale on your night stand. Before you even sit up, try to lay on your side and eat just a little bit and sip on the ginger ale. It will make you feel much better before getting out of bed. I would replace the can of ginger ale every night before I went to bed. I had horrible morning sickness until a bunch of my mom’s friends told me about this. Good luck!!

Mark asks…

If birth control makes you sick, does that mean you’ll have morning sickness during pregnancy?

I’ve been on birth control for about three years. Because the pill made me so sick (throwing up every single morning), I’ve been put on NuvaRing. It’s a lot better than the pill, but still makes me sick the day after I put it in. I’ve tried sea bands, ginger and other “naturalremedies. They help a little, but I’m still really nauseous and sometimes spend the night throwing up.

My husband and I are thinking about trying to have a baby later this fall or winter. My mom had REALLY bad morning sickness, and I’m wondering, with a family history and the fact that I get sick on birth control, am I pretty much guaranteed some pretty wicked morning sickness?

Michelle answers:

Every pregnancy and woman is different, I had horrible morning sickness with my daughter up to week 20 I was still sometimes praying to the porcelain god. But another pregnancy (which I lost around 19 weeks – a boy) I was mostly symptom free (The loss was due to a car accident, nothing wrong with me or the baby). So you symptoms on BC are very predictive of PG symptoms since those seem to vary with each pregnancy, weird huh?

I wouldn’t be too concerned with it, if you really want that baby you’ll find ways to cope! (I liked icicle pops all day, lots of water, etc)

Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Products

Joseph asks…

Natural Pregnancy Products?

I just found out I am pregnant and am really paranoid about things being absorbed through my skin. Does anyone know of good products for a healthy pregnancy? Lotions, shampoos, etc
what about deodorant? It contains Aluminum, which I hear is bad even if you are not pregnant. Also, I use prescription deodorant about once a week – is that okay?

Michelle answers:

Congratulations!

There are pregnancy lotions for stretch marks and stuff. You can use that for regular lotions. You can use Usana Shampoos, you can order online. It is suppost to be natural or something like that… I used it throughout my whole pregnancy. I don’t know about deodrant, but most natural deodrants aren’t that great… I aways was worried about putting deodrant on right after I shaved because of tiny cuts you can’t see.

Two weeks before I had my baby I got lice!!! I was so mad and worried about the shampoo. My baby is fine and the doctor told me what kind to use (so the baby was pretty much developed but I think we all want to do what is best for baby

Nancy asks…

what are natural products to take for allergies while pregnant?

I also have a hard trouble breathing due to my allergies (not gasping or anything). I don’t want to take Claratin for the rest of my pregnancy. So any natural products or home remedies. Thank you.

Michelle answers:

Use a neti pot. It washes out sinuses and nasal passages using a warm saline solution. No drugs. And it does work.

Laura asks…

If latex products make me itchy & I can’t use em, is that a sign that I have a natural immunity to pregnancy?

You know, like latex in condoms. Can’t use = don’t need to use. Get it now?

Michelle answers:

You can buy latex free ones, lol em you make me crack up!

Michael asks…

Has anyone tried any natural breast reduction products(pills). Do they really work?

I have gone from a 34C to a 34DDD after 2 pregnancies. I don’t want to loose body wieght and I don’t want surgery. I want to get back down to my normal bust size.
I am 4’11, petite size 8, slim build. I don’t need to loose weight. However, my bust size has gone from a 34C to a 34DDD after 2 pregnancies. The top heaviness is very uncomfortable. I prefer an alternative to surgery.

Michelle answers:

There are no pills that will shrink any part of the body. Only exercise and eating right can shrink you all over.

Now, how recent was your last pregnancy? I know that they don’t hand these pills out anymore, but you may be able to request them. When my mother was pregnant with me she got pills that dried up the milk, thus shrinking her breasts to their normal size. You may want to speak with your doctor about these pills.

Your Questions About Natural Infertility Treatments

David asks…

Are there natural treatments for infertility?

I have a hormonal imbalance so I don’t have my period every month. Are there any natural treatments that can help make me ovulate?

Michelle answers:

There are herbs that are very effective, but you need to speak to an herbalist or a naturopath. The problem would need to be more fully diagnosed.

George asks…

Are there any NATURAL infertility treatmeants I can try?

Before my husband go the route of trying clomid or other infertility treatments I was hoping to find some natural remedies, such as herbs or vitamins that have been know to boost fertility.

Michelle answers:

Sperm. 😀

I would suggest making sure you are having sex on the best possible days. Hold off on sex until you are within 48 hours of possible ovulation, mark the calender for your periods and positive Lh tests. Then have sex every 48 – 72 hours. Stay laying in bed after sex or elevate your legs.

The important thing is to get the timing right.

Robert asks…

natural infertility treatment?

Michelle answers:

Massage increases natural body “flow.” Rub your feet, get lots of full body massages. Wake up your ovaries by massaging the lower abdomen. It works! Good luck and baby dust to you!

Lisa asks…

Does anyone now of a natural alternative to Clomid?

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15 and only have a menstral cycle when I take birth control. Now my husband and I are trying to conceive and have been trying for 18 months. I would see a doctor but my insurance doesnt cover any form of infertility treatments. My sister who has PCOS has had 2 babies with clomid and I would love to give it a try but I cant get a prescribtion.

Michelle answers:

Will your insurance company not cover medication? Are you sure Clomid isn’t covered? There’s also a generic which is much cheaper. Maybe call the insurance company to see if Clomid is covered?

You can try soy isoflavones, which has been said to be nature’s Clomid. You could also try Vitex, which sometimes helps women to get their cycles and ovulation back. I would always discuss these things with your dr before starting any herb or vitamin. I would also recommend seeing your dr anyways, to check out any advice she can give ya 🙂

Lots of luck and baby dust.
