Your Questions About Fedex

Sandy asks…

How long does fedex take to deliver a package?

I ordered something online and fedex says that it has been in my town for about 7 hours now. How much longer does this usually take

Michelle answers:

Depends on the time it arrived and the city you live in. If you are in a major city, where Fedex planes land, less time than elsewhere. You have a tracking number, use the Fedex website to see where it is

Ken asks…

How can I export my DHL addresses into Fedex account?

I’m having trouble saving the file and importing into Fedex. I certainly don’t want to have to input each address. Anyone have any tips? Thanks!

Michelle answers:

Call 800-463-3339 and say “Technical Support” then option 1. Tell them your problem and they will walk you through it. Hope this helps!

Richard asks…

How much are Fedex Ground drivers paid per package to deliver and pick up?

I understand Fedex Ground drivers are independent contractors.

How much do they get paid for each package they deliver and for each package they pick up?
Is that gross or net? (i.e., is that after they pay for the truck, insurance, and gas)?

Michelle answers:

Again, each contracted route varies. There are certain factors that provide the contractors settlement. Mileage, distance from terminal, projected volume, weight of package, etc. If you are interested in a route, ask contractors in your local terminal. They would be the best source for telling you about the business.

James asks…

Are you going to send a package of high value to the Philippines by FedEx?

If you are planning to, DON’T! You may be in for a headache.

I recently sent a package that contains prescription medicine to my dad. When it got to Philippine Customs, they held it hostage for a long time. The people there are very shady. The customs people, along with FedEx employees are in cahoots. They seem to be running an extortion business.

Beware!

Michelle answers:

Should have sent it through LBC, Atlas, or ACE. They are a Philippine based shippers.
We have sent same thing before, and it went right on through. Make sure you have all your documents about the medicine in the box. I would suggest making a few copies for each meds.
