Laura asks…
Is facebook and other social networking sites a distraction from God?
Facebook is nice to keep in contact with others, but I notice that some people spend many hours updating their statuses and checking in on the lives of others and trying to keep up with the Jones’s so to speak via facebook. In your opinion would you say that facebook takes your focus off of God? Should good christians have facebook accounts? And what purpose does facebook serve to the serious christian.
Michelle answers:
My sister-in-law is a fine Christian and she and the ladies at her church use Facebook to help them organize functions. She also uses it as a way to “spread the word” so to speak.

How to reactivate your Facebook account even if you have been reported?
A friend of mine had recently been in a fight with a couple of people over Facebook. What those people did is falsely report her and said that she was either threatening them or using nude pictures on Facebook. So now she can not use her Facebook profile due to the report. So how can you get around it and use the account as normal without having to create a new account?
Michelle answers:
Gotta email facebook and ask for a appeal and they’ll look into it and see if she can have it back. BUT they don’t usually block facebooks unless they check it and the reports turn out to be true.

How does Facebook arrange friends on the chat list, search bar and friend list?
I have noticed that people whose profiles I view more frequently are higher on Facebook searches, and possibly also on the friend list on my profile, etc? Is this coincidental, or does Facebook take profile views into account when ordering lists of my friends and search results for me?
Michelle answers:
I take the list to mean my most recent visitors…top being the most recent.

How do Facebook ads work and should i set one up for my schools yearbook?
I’m in my schools yearbook class and i came up with the idea of making a Facebook ad for us. how do Facebook ads work and how much money does it cost? I figured if we each chip in some cash and target the ad for people in our town we could get people pumped for this years book! Comments or other advertising ideas are much appreciated, thanks guys!
Michelle answers:
You can set up ads that link people to the Facebook page, or another page about your yearbook. The amount it costs depends on the cost per click that you set when you set up the ads.
Here’s where you set up the ad – http://www.facebook.com/ads/create/
And here’s some information on how to do it – http://www.facebook.com/business/ads/
