Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Sharon asks…

recurring miscarriages after healthy pregnancy – doctor wants us to go to a fertility specialist. ?

well, our daughter is 5. we’ve been trying for #2 in the past year and had 3 miscarriages – one natural and 2 needed D&C. After the first D&C, doctor sent everything for genetic testing and the results came back negative (she said she would do the same after my second D&C, so we are waiting). Also, I had an extensive blood test done (something to do with thrombosis, not sure of the name) and it also came back negative.
my progesterone levels were a little low during 2 last pregnancies, so I was put on a suppository supplement (and it didn’t help).
it seems that embryo dies at around 6 weeks – last pregnancy was extremely upsetting because we had a faint heartbeat at 5w4d appointment and NOTHING at 7w4d appointment…
now, my gyno wants me and my husband to go to a fertility specialist. my question is – did anybody have a problem like that? what to expect from the fertility specialist? if you are familiar with a problem, how long does fertility treatment usually take? I am only 32, so age is not a problem, my hubby, on the other hand, is overweight and on blood pressure medication… we REALLY want to have another baby, our daughter keeps asking when I’ll have a baby in my tummy… I guess, what I really need are some words of encouragement. Thank you so much!

Michelle answers:

Im so sorry for your trouble….doctors aren’t much help with ‘figureing out the fertility problem’ you have to pretty much do this one on your own.. Heres how:

Educate yourself: get the book “Taking charge of your fertility” by toni weschler
This book will teach you how to chart your fertility and find out what could be going wrong with your body. If you have low progesterone post ovulation charting can detect it right away.
Btw…supositories are synthetic progesterone…you need the natural form of progesterone that comes in the cream form…you can get it online or at healthfood stores. Must say the Natural.
Most likely it is the progesterone deficiency, take the cream after ovulation until you start your period, if you concieve keep taking the cream throughout pregnancy…

pregnancy after miscarriage?

here is my story- I had a miscarriage on March 28 09 (11 weeks, 3 days). it was natural and complete (at home). I saw the doctor and everything was the way it should be. I bled for a short 2 weeks and lost all my pregnancy symptoms. then had a passionate nite with hubby the week after (about 5-10 days after the bleeding stopped). it is now 6 weeks since the mc and has had no period, just some spotting after the intercourse mentioned above. Now I feel exhausted, my breasts are very sore (again), and for the first time I feel nauseaus. Never had that before. my gut is screaming “you are preggers” but I was wondering if there was another reason for these new symptoms. I took a preg test not long ago and it was negative, so i know that my body went back to normal.
I am taking a preg test sat morning since that would be about the 4 week mark.
What do you think? What other diagnosis could it be?
Thanks to all!!! 🙂

Michelle answers:

Your cycle might still be off from the pregnancy and miscarriage (sorry for your loss). It’s hard to say at this point. If the preg test comes back neg and you still think you might be pregnant, ask your doctor for a blood test.

Daniel asks…

Am I possibly ovulating?

I had a natural miscarriage on Dec 31st. My first negative pregnancy test was Wednesday Jan 14th . Today I noticed a little more cm than normal.. Does it seem like this would be the time I should be ovulating after a miscarriage?
My DR has given us the okay to babydance~~

Michelle answers:

After an M/C it’s really hard to tell when you will ovulate. I would just start BDing right away and continue every other day. That way you won’t miss the important days. Tons of luck 🙂

Donna asks…

What do you think about male pregnancy?

For me, Male pregnancy is the most ridiculious scientific experiment I have ever heard of. I do believe, yes, this time they have gone a little to far. As a woman, I think it’s an insult to us women this stupid little experiemient… getting’ a dude pregnant… is so unnatural! If a couple can’t have children, there’s a surrogate Mother. That’s more natural. Adoption is more natural… Ya’ll have this much free time? This idea could kill countless of homosexual males. What about miscarriages? As far as I care, those people are sick! That takes a lot for me to say. it’s totally unholy. What about the kid? Who’s going to say “Sonny, you’re a test tube science expermient!” Word spreads that Lee Jr. is a test, and he’ll get teased back and forth. Why would you try to leave women out of the equation concerning childbirth? It’s totally against God’s law.
What do you think about male pregnancy? Are you pro or against it? DO you think it’s insulting woman or do you think it’s a great…
scientific advance??

Ok, I know it’s fake but, my question is what do you think about it… if you think it’s possible! I don’t need you to tell me that is fake!

Michelle answers:

This world is going crazier and crazier everyday – what is norm is thought of as ‘old school’ and what is sinful and repellent in society is highlighted as ‘cool’.. Very pathetic situation.
