Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Test

Sandra asks…

Lighter period a week early, pregnancy symptoms, negative pregnancy test?

I had my daughter 6 months ago and breastfed for 4 months. I have had a few cycles now but they had been only about 25 days long and I know that I ovulated each cycle. This last cycle I ovulated but I bled at 21 days (Spotted 1 day bled 1 day spotted 1 day). And it more like spotting with one day that could be actually counted as bleeding. I have been having a lot of the same pregnancy symptoms I had with both of my children but have gotten 3 negative hpt’s. Sore boobs, TIRED, hungry, bloated, emotional. I am taking another test today but I am wondering if there is any other explanation for these symptoms. I was not on hormonal birth control. We use Creighton Method Natural Family Planning.

Thanks in advance!
Yes I did know that about the implantation bleeding that’s why I am so confused. I had implantation bleeding with my 2nd daughter. Thanks for your response!

Michelle answers:

Our Creighton instructor told us to wait until ten days after presumed ovulation/conception before bothering with any home pregnancy tests. All the symptoms you describe could easily be explained by PMS as well. You should contact your instructor, or find one if you don’t have one, and see if she can help you read your charts.

Natural Birth and pregnant? questions…?

My boyfriend has gotten off in me 4 times since my last period, and I am usually on my period every 23 or 25 days. It has now been 30 days. I have been super nautious, but haven’t thrown up. I’ve almost passed out because I’ve been so lightheaded and I’ve been really hungry, but when I go to get something to eat, I don’t want to eat anymore. I haven’t had time to go get a pregnancy test, but it sound like I am, doesn’t it? Also, I was thinking that if I am, has anyone gone through a pregnancy without seeing a doctor? I know it helps alot, but I had a friend who was pregnant about 10 years ago and the doctors told her her baby was sick, and around the 8th month, something made her loose her baby because they were doing a bunch of tests on her, and a couple of years ago, she got pregnant again, and the doctors in a different hospital, and a different state told her the same things, and she didn’t want to loose her 2nd baby, so she spent the 2nd half of her pregnancy alone and didn’t see one doctor and ended up giving birth to a perfectly healthy baby on her bathroom floor, but I mean she did see doctors for the first half. and if you gave birth naturally, would you use drugs your second time around? Is it worth it to have a natural birth? I told you there was a lot of questions. I’ve just had those questions on my mind and wanted to especially see if anyone else had a natural pregnancy.

It sucks that nobody could give u a real answer….
But u should find out whether or not ur prego first…. Before i found out i just felt different ya kno..and my period was late…and when i had sex id feel the most painful cramps ever[turns out my uterus was stretching]… But i went to the health dept. They confirmed i was prego. N i went again n i heard my babys heartbeat 🙂 they said that was at 8wks but i stopped goin there cuz the ppl were so rude… Im 5 1/2 months prego now[according to what they told me before] and still havent seen a doctor… I feel fine and feel it kickin everyday like clockwork so i dunno… I figure back in the old days there werent doctors n hospitals n ppl have been having babies for thousands of years ya kno… Good luck

Jenny asks…

Will my recent miscarriage affect this early pregnancy?

I’ve recently have a m/c at 6 weeks on Aug 5th. I took a clear blue test last sat. and got a “pregnant” read out, I then took two First Response test with the second line so faint I could hardly tell it was there. So I think that I’m pregnant again, but its only been about three weeks since my m/c. I had a natural m/c and only bled for 4-5 days, no pain. My hcg level was at 0 when I did a blood test the monday before I took my pregnancy test. I’m terrified of having another m/c or a chemical one, could my recent m/c affect my current pregnancy?

Michelle answers:

I too am facing the same exact thing you are – but i have been told by numerous doctors when you lose a pregnancy so early like that, that it’s almost just considered a period, and since it was a natural miscarriage, the uterus lining shouldn’t be irritated much….it doesn’t increase your chance of having a miscarriage with this pregnancy, as most miscarriages happen, and it has nothing at all to do with the woman carrying the pregnancy – I would say this pregnancy will be okay!!! *hugssssssssss* – and don’t worry so much girl, stress is never a good thing for a baby!!

George asks…

Will the world be a better place if children were born inside of test tubes instead of in the womb?

Natural births lead to deaths and painful events. Wouldn’t the world be better if a mother never had to gain weight, or push, or anything that goes with pregnancy? A girl or woman would never have to change their lifestyle they could just keep working and paying attention to the things that are important to them. Would the world be a better place if natural pregnancy‘s were out dated?

Michelle answers:

No because there would not be as strong of a bond between the mother and child and this could lead to higher rates of abuse and neglect.
