Mark asks…
RE: IVF, If a fertilized embryo is frozen for 5 years then inseminated, surely the baby would have problems?
Does anyone else think IVF is just not natural?
I mean, sperm and egg weren’t meant to last outside of the Human Body for too long…yet scientists are now playing God by mixing sperm+egg in a Petri Dish, then freezing them for 5+ years…and then the couple decides years down the track to insert the embryo into the woman?
Surely there must be some long-term effects on the baby? Would a baby grow up “normal” if it had actually been frozen for 5 years before?! It just doesn’t seem right/natural and is not the way God intended couples to conceive!
Having children is NOT a right! If you are barren…then tough. That is your lot in life.
Michelle answers:
Infertility is a medical condition and should be treated as such with proper medical care. Most couples do not intend to keep the embryo frozen for five years unless they are faced with other issues. Most couples hope to be successful in a fresh cycle, using their embryo right away to conceive and rather than destroy life, any embryos they do not transfer are frozen for a future cycle or donation.
If you have cancer should we say tough, that is your lot in life it is not natural to inject your body with poison through chemotherapy to kill the cancer cells?
I believe that God makes all things possible – if not for God, IVF would not exist for people to bring beautiful, creative, intelligent children in His image into the world.
“Judge not, that ye be not judged (Matthew 7:1).”

Paul asks…
Should anybody be allowed to say “Thats not natural”?
In a world where there is IVF, Transplant and Sex Change Operations are common, should we be more open to ideas like cloning and designer babies?
I mean morally forbidden, against the law because of what people think.
Michelle answers:
The only people who can legitimately insist that ANYTHING is ‘not natural’ are those who live naked in trees and eat only raw food that they’ve gathered with their own bare hands.

Carol asks…
Can Azoospermia be cured by natural medicine or food?my husband has Azoospermia, but my sister in law has kid?
my husband has Azoosspermia , butmy father-in-law had 3 children so i dont think there is a genetic reason behind this , but five years ago he worked in a bio-chemistry lab . my question is because of any radiation he got this Azoospermia? , any remedy is there other than IVF
Michelle answers:
Azoospermia is the medical condition of a male not having any measurable level of sperm in his semen. It is associated with very low levels of fertility.
Azoospermia has two forms:
obstructive azoospermia, where sperm are created, but cannot be mixed with the rest of the ejaculatory fluid due to a physical obstruction, and;
non-obstructive azoospermia, where there is a problem with spermatogenesis, as in the condition of hyperprolactinemia.
Congenital azoospermia, where azoospermia is a manifestation of cystic fibrosis due to agenesis of vas deferens.
Azoospermia is a reported side effect of androgen drugs and corticosteroids because they suppress the hypothalamus release of GnRH and therefore FSH. This causes azoospermia in males and amenorrhea in females
Most men facing a semen analysis fear the diagnosis of azoospermia. However, that diagnosis does not necessarily mean that the man produces no sperm or can never be made to produce any sperm and thus will never have a biological child. Accurate diagnosis of azoospermia is complicated. Correctible causes must be found and treated. Even then if there are no sperm in the ejaculate, sperm can often be harvested and used to achieve fertilization.
