Natural induction methods?
Okay, so if I don’t go into labor naturally by Tues. (my due date) my doctor is going to schedule an induction because he doesn’t want the baby getting any bigger, (my daughter had shoulder dystocia and this baby is measuring at least the same size she was when she was born). I really really don’t want to be induced if I can encourage him to come naturally!
So…. here is what I have done…. I had my membranes swept yesterday, I have been cramping since about 3am but only mild period like cramping but I think I have been loosing parts of my mucus plug today. I have been walking, bouncing on my ball, I have use Red raspberry leaves routinely during my pregnancy, I am on Evening primrose oil, I am trying nipple stimulation and my hubby and I have been having sex SO often that I think he is starting to feel used!
Any other suggestions???
BTW: This isn’t a matter of patience. Either way this baby is going to be here by next week. I am just hoping to avoid a medical induction, I had to have one with my daughter and it wasn’t a great experience.

another pregnancy induction question…?
so im getting induced wednesday morning at 5am. yay! lol finally! i was due last wednesday so im excited to finally see my baby. im also nervous though! =m not looking for anyone to try and talk me out of induction at all so please do not do that. my baby is starting to get low on fluid so it would be best to do it this week. i had a non stress test done today and i was contracting every 2 minutes but didnt feel them at all lol. im 2cm dilated and 75% effaced and she is sitting at a +1 station so she is super low! i was just looking for some induction stories and maybe some support that ill get through it. everyone is scaring me saying its horrible. i want to try to do it as natural as possible without pain meds. please give me your stories and thank you and goodluck to all the mommys and mommys to be in advance!

You’ll be fine.. Being induced really isnt as bad as some people make it out to be.. I was induced for my son ( my first child ) at 38 weeks.. Just had it scheduled because I could and I was in a lot of pain/discomfort.. So I went in and I diod have an epidural so I’m not so sure about the all natural part :/ sorry.. But I went in they started my pitocine then like an hour later gave me my epidural and I had my son 9 hours later.. I pushed for 2 hours.. Had an episiotomy.. Now 18 months later.. I don’t even remember the pain.. Your just so tired/anxious that really you don’t focus on how bad it hurts rather than how much closer your getting to see your bundle of joy 🙂 Good luck 🙂

natural induction techniques?
Hi I’m due this saturday and I’m getting impatient and anxious, I swore I wouldnt this time because my last three were all late and I’ve been saying right through the pregnancy that I expect to go late but now I’m almost at my due date I cant help but just want this baby to arrive NOW!! So does anyone have any ideas on how to help bring on labour, we’ve tried the curries, sex, nipple stimulation and walking with my previous late deliveries and they didnt work then, I’m trying them again this time because I know every pregnancy is different but does anyone have any other tips or ideas?
Michelle answers:
There is a pressure point about 6 inches above the inside of the ankle and the one between your thumb and first finger. Look up labor induction + pressure points and it will show you how to stimulate these points. It worked for me. My doctor needed to induce 3 week early with me and I tried this a day and a half before and went into labor on my own.

I had to have an emergency c-section my 1st pregnancy, but i am really wanting to have a natural delivery this?
time around. i blame the first time on bad choices made by my doctors. I am going to a much better hospital this time and have faith the same thing will not happen again! what do you think about VBACs? Induction? i was induced 2 weeks late with 1st didnt really feel like it was more intense then normal labor would be but i dont know given i didnt go into labor on my own. 🙂

How far gone are you know? Im pregnant with baby number 2 and my 1st was a c-section but my reasons are se got stuck, but i think if i hadnt of had the epidural i would have gotten on my knees and been able to wiggle her around and got her to move but because of the epidural i wasnt able to move. When i hit 20 weeks i had an appointment with a Dr after my scan to discuss if i wanted a VBAC or another c-section and this is what happened really
1) he said i have a 75-80% chance of having a VBAC but if i had already had a natural birth it would have been 90%.
2) because i had a big baby theres a chance this baby will also be big
3) i can go 10 days overdue
4) they can induce and out of the 3 induction methods which they can normally do they can only do 2 which is
: if they can break your waters they will
:after breaking your waters they will put you on the pitotin drip
5) im not allowed a growth scan because of my 1st being a big baby they only give growth scans for smaller babies
6) i am allowed a sweep at 39 weeks instead of waiting for 40 weeks
7) i have another apt with him for 39 weeks n 5 days i dont know why i just know i do lol
thats all he said really
Edit: when i give birth it will have been 18 months since my first c-section
