22 weeks prego. Think I am getting the flu.?
So from day one of my pregnancy I have had a nasal congestion problem. 2 weeks ago I started sneezing more often. Now I have yellowish green snot coming out of my nose, and I have developed a horrible cough. In the last three days, I have started to feel really crappy and weak. Does anyone know of any natural remedies, or ways to get over this? Or what meds can I take?
Michelle answers:
Sounds like a nasty infection. Do not take the risk as you don’t wan the infection to harm the baby which could if no precaution taken. Not worth it and go see doctor, at this stage i do not think home remedies will help, unless its a simple flu all by itself. Doc will prob prescribe an antibiotics safe for baby too.

30 weeks pregnant with bad diahorrea?
Is there anything I can take to stop it? Any natural remedies?
Also, I haven’t eaten anything strange / out of date etc… I’m very careful like that, so I don’t think it’s food poisoning, could this just be a “side-effect” of the pregnancy?
Has anybody else had this? I’m taking iron, meaning that most of the time I’m constipated, with bouts of diahorrea which last about 2 days inbetween.
Also: Are there any risks for baby? I have had a high risk pregnancy, and I’m worried it could be harmful to her or bring on contractions… I haven’t felt her move very much today. I’ll be 31 weeks tomorrow.
Thanks!

how long does thrush take to clear up in pregnancy, please help?
im 21 weeks pregnant and because of the extra discharge you get wilst your pregnant i started to wear thin period pads in my knickers, but then i started to itch so i stopped wearing them and now iv had thrush for about a week, its really driving me mad, i have bin using natural yogurt for 2 days and was wondering how long it takes to clear up? i dont like going to the doctors much so i would prefer to clear it up with home remedies if possible,
Michelle answers:
Every body is different. Even if you don’t want to go to the doctor you could still call and ask for advice on what to do.
Suggestions: You can still use over the counter meds to treat the yeast infection. I didn’t have it while pregnant but did with breastfeeding. My naturopath recomended probiotic pills which are sooo much stronger than yogurt. You can get these at a health supply store – they need to be refrigerated. I also took 1 pill of grapefruit seed extract. In terms of prevention, yes you are more moist down there so possibly changing underwear 2 times a day and washing in very hot water to kill the yeast. I’veh heard that yeast is incredibly difficult to kill and you want to take care of this before giving birth because transferring it to your baby during birth ups your chances of giving her or him thrush and that is just not fun to have while breastfeeding.

Can a woman get pregnant at 53?
I’m 14, and my mom really want’s twins. My dad is 55. I overheard them talking about how fun it would be to have another child to play and care for, and they always like playing with little kids. I once found a pregnancy test in my Mom’s closet, and it read negative. I also think that 2 other kids would be fun to have around, but is there any natural way of them getting pregnant? any herbal remedies?
Michelle answers:
Yes if she hasn’t gotten menopause.
