Your Questions About Natural Pregnancy Remedies

Helen asks…

what’s the best natural remedy to fade off dark spots on face or pigmentation after pregnancy? help please.?

Michelle answers:

You can try applying lemon juice twice a day on your face, rinse it and then moisturize. It will lighten your cloasma to some degree, but I doubt it will remove it completely. You’ll probably need something stronger than that, a lightening cream with arbutin, kojic acid, citric acid, licorice extract etc. Avoid hydroquinone. Even with these creams it will take several month to see proper results, so you have to be persistent! And, most importantly, you MUST use a very high spf sunblock every day and avoid sun as much as possible. If you go into the sun unprotected or for a long period of time, all your efforts will be in vain. Good luck!

George asks…

Does anyone know any remedies for hair loss?

I suffer from heriditary hair loss. I had been using rogaine which was actually going well but now I am pregnant and can no longer use it. My new hair is almost all gone and I’m getting very anxious. Does anyone know any kind of natural or herbal remedies I can use until after my pregnancy?

Michelle answers:

I have had very good results using Nioxin . Get the shampoo, scalp conditioner, and foam. I use it everyday (for almost 2yrs} and it has helped my hereditary hair thinning. I am no longer trying to cover scalp showing! I have heard you need to continue to use it or the effects won’t continue but it is just part of a usual routine so that’s not difficult. It is not inexpensive, but not crazy expensive either. It is fairly available at salons or your hairdresser can get it. {I think I even saw it at the Walmart beauty salon in passing} I got mine as a gift and I am grateful everyday. Good Luck with your hair and the pregnancy.
