Facebook Login?! Help?

I’m trying to login onto facebook, but a message pops up saying that my account is under maintenance? What do i do? Its been doing this all day! /:

Michelle answers:

Sounds like a Facebook glitch. Come back later (like at the end of the day or tomorrow) and try again. Still no luck, try another computer or ask your friends if they are having the same problems.

Login to Facebook on Yahoo Answers?

Is it just me or is there a pop-up asking to login to Facebook whenever I post an answer?

Call me backward but I have reservations about publishing my every online interaction onto Facebook, so why is Yahoo spamming me with this constant pop-up?

Is there an option to turn this off? Or am I simply a set of data ready to be mined by anonymous companies?
I JUST found the same pop-up is shoved into my face when I just posted the question, does anybody know where Yahoo publishes their service updates so I can see the reason behind this intrusive spamming?

Michelle answers:

Way back when users had the option of sharing updates to their accounts (meaning questions and answers they posted) with facebook and twitter – I opted out of it, especially because I set my profile to private. Whenever I posted an answer since then, beneath my answer I found a reminder that I chose NOT to share updates to my account, which was/is fine with me. The pop-up you and quite a few other users are currently complaining about, never showed up for me, don’t know though whether it is because I opted out of updates, or because I have the FireFox installed and AdblockPlus additionally. In case you (or other users) are/is interested, this might help:

Download and install the latest Firefox browser:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

Install “adblock plus”:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

Result: no more annoying ads! And pages are loading much quicker too…:-)

http://opindian.com/blog/2009/02/25/adblock-solution-for-safari-4-windows-and-mac/ – solution for Safari 4 Win and Mac.

I for one have the Firefox installed and don’t see a single ad, no pop-up, no fly-in and no commercial videos on the Yahoo pages and on most other web sites…:-)

Edit: right now I too got the facebook pop-up, will be answering more questions tonight, and I’ll check whether it is possible to disable that annoyance. If I find a solution, I’ll come back here and post my findings.
