Laura asks…
When will Fedex Smartpost deliver my package?
I ordered two airsoft shotguns on Feb 8th and the tracking thing is telling me my package will be here on the 17th.
Here’s the travel History:
Feb 12, 2010 12:32 PM Arrived at FedEx location PHOENIX, AZ
Feb 10, 2010 3:54 AM Departed FedEx location NEW BERLIN, WI
Feb 9, 2010 4:37 PM Arrived at FedEx location NEW BERLIN, WI
Feb 9, 2010 3:24 AM Departed FedEx location INDIANAPOLIS, IN
Feb 9, 2010 1:51 AM Arrived at FedEx location INDIANAPOLIS, IN
Feb 8, 2010 1:45 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx
If it’s in PHX now wouldn’t it be here saturday or monday? I live in Surprise, AZ
Michelle answers:
Actually, when using FedEx Smartpost, your package will be deliver by USPS (your post office/mail carrier). FedEx does the majority of transports and delivers the package to your nearest post office.
I’m waiting for my stuff I ordered from Amazon (ordered on Feb. 7th and shipped on the 10th, with Free Super Saver Shipping method) and they shipped it with FedEx Smartpost, my first time getting a package with that shipping method (I usually get FedEx Ground shipping).
Also keep in mind: Transit Times 2-8 business days (excluding weekends) and FedEx doesn’t deliver on Saturdays (only special delivery).
I read several complaints about FedEx smartpost. I’ll wait patiently until my estimated delivery date Feb. 19th passes.

Does USPS have Fedex drop off services?
I need to send a fedex parcel. I just need to drop off. Does fedex charge to come home and pick up ? does USPS have a drop off facility?
Michelle answers:
FedEx and USPS are 2 different companies and don’t deliver for each other. FedEx will charge to pick up your package. USPS has mail boxes all over, blue about chest high round at the top. But you have to take it to the post office to have it weighed.
Richard asks…
Does fedex deliver on saterdays?
My package was supposed to get here today but I wasn’t home to sign for it. Will fedex re-attempt delivery Tomarrow which is saterday?
Michelle answers:
3 kinds of Fedex that delivers
what did your doortag say on the upper left?
FedEx Express? (orange EX) delivers Mon-Fri with optional sat if they have enough manpower
FeEx Ground (green EX) deliers Mon-Fri only
FedEx Home Delivery (green EX) a smaller branch of ground that caters exclusively on Saturday
their work week is Tues-Sat
————————-
just sign the doortag if its an “indirect signature” required & they’ll leave it at your doorstep/ porch

FedEx Delivery Problem?!?
Hi, I was expecting my package today from FedEx. After all day of waiting for it, they update the tracking info at 4:30pm to “DELIVERY EXCEPTION – UNABLE TO FIND STREET ADDRESS”.
Has this happened to anyone else? What the hell kind of excuse is this? My street has two signs, and FedEx has GPS…that is their job to get the package to me.
Will they try again tomorrow or what happens now?
Michelle answers:
Could be that they know exactly how to come to your address. Could also be that the sender put the wrong street name on the address.
How did you find out that FedEx was to be delivering your parcel today?
If is is because the sender sent it with the fastest delivery available (in which case the address is probably erroneous) or is it because you receive a notification from FedEx or got the info from their web site? In this case, verify online what address is specified.
Now, of course, FedEx never makes mistakes. The FedEx delivery man never mistypes an address in the GPS and the FedEx office always tries to work very hard of finding you if there is an undeliverable address on the parcel. It might entail checking in the White pages. (just being sarcastic. It never happened to me!)
It is unlikely they will attempt to deliver it tomorrow. If they were unable to find your street address yesterday, chances are they won’t tomorrow. I am sure if you contact FedEx and explain the situation, they will try to locate your parcel and deliver it to you ASAP. Chances are that you will find out that the delay was caused by human error.
As you can see, there is plenty of opportunities for human error, and we must accept that.
