Is it possible to get Firefox bookmarks from a non working computer?

My Windows laptop doesn’t work because the laptop charger Ac Adapter totally messed up the plug hole. Anyway, I have a lot of bookmarks saved in Firefox. So I was wondering if there is anyway what so ever I can get them without fixing the computer.

Remove the Hard Drive from the laptop, open your computer and plug the energy and data cables (it’s easy, c’mon). After it, you’ll see another HD on Computer Folder, open it and go the directory: X:Program FilesMozilla Firefoxdefaultsprofile (X is the letter of the Hard Drive), and copy the file “bookmarks.html” and paste it onto your computer folder.

Every time I open firefox, The “welcome to firefox“, “welcome to foxy tunes!”, “Welcome to coolaris!”, pages come up. I’ve gone into Tools>Options>Main>Startup. But that had no effect whatsoever

You probably have multiple home pages setup. Make the startup look like this:

I am doing online high school with the loaner laptop the school gives me and when I go online and try to log in to anything this thing comes up that say “Firefox is now configured for secure filtering please restart Firefox” and I press okay and then exit but nothing happens it does the same thing. So my company told us to start using firefox bc internet explorer posed a threat to our security or something so i need all of my favorites. How would i move them to firefox‘s bookmarks???

Internet explorer is indeed a threat and I’m glad they made you do that. Go to:
File>Import>Microsoft Internet Explorer>and check bookmarks.

When you open firefox, press bookmarks and there should be a folder labeled “From Internet Explorer”.

I recommend bookmarks>organize bookmarks and copying the contents of that folder into the main file. Much easier.

One last tip, to get bookmarks in the sidebar like Internet Explorer does, go to view>sidebar>bookmarks or control-B.

Good luck and enjoy firefox. You will find it is much faster and more modern.

Tip: to customize firefox, go to the below link and get extentions. Not necessary but nice when you want to do other stuff without switching programs.

I watch this show a few days ago and was shocked that the winner only had three months worth of experience as apposed to the other contestants that have been running successful busnesses for YEARS!!! Just seems odd. Anyone else noticing some serous fakness from food network competitions?

YES. The first episode of Cupcake Wars I noticed the winner’s assistant looked mysteriously like an actress from the 80’s (Maureen Flannigan) and every week after that my roommate and I could pick the winner from the start of the show (always an over-the-top cheery contestant from LA).

I figure any video taken in the open streets should be open to the general public. So while I was trying to look for an uncensored version of the Derrion Albert video I stumbled across a copyright from Fox News (according to youtube). What law lets them do something like that.

The copyright belongs to the person who took the video, and they have the right to sell the copyright to anyone they want. In this case Fox news. You are correct that someone ELSE could have taken the same video, and they would own THEIR version, but if nobody did, all rights are going to belong to the one person who did.

How does Fox News get away with lying and simply being underhanded?

Like making that woman from the NAACP look racist when if you look at the whole clip she was trying to make a point. She even stated that when she said she hated whites she was a racist herself. How do you ship a package via Fedex from your house?

Is it possible to ship a package via FedEx from your house? Or do you -have- to go to a store or drop box?

I’m pretty sure there are ways to do that online. I would check their website. A friend of mine does it all the time. I run an online store that sells packaging and shipping supplies. Anyway, my advice to you would be to make sure that you package all the boxes correctly, as no one will be there to do it for you. So I would suggest that you load up on bubble mailer envelopes and packing tape!

How long does Fedex Home Delivery take to deliver from PA to MD?

The service is called Fedex Home Delivery. It’s not Ground. It was just called “Home Delivery”. Anybody know how many days it takes a package going from PA to MD to be delivered with this service? Thanks.

Well techinally Fedex home delivery is an offshoot of Fedex ground
fedex home delivery takes 1 to 7 days and there is no guarantee on what day the package will arrive
Fedex home delivery is really just fedex ground delivering to Residences
(only) and they will deliver on Saturdays for no additional charges
(what usually happens is that all Fedex home delivery packages
are picked by a ground person and transported via fedex ground trucks
to the closet hub and then if the city has Fedex home delivery couriers
will take it from there (if not the Ground will deliver the package

How can I find out what businesses the FEDEX and UPS trucks stop at every day in my city?

I am doing a research paper here at UNLV and it is on the logistics and shipping business of the major overnight and 2nd day carriers in Las Vegas. I am trying to find a couple routes that the UPS and FEDEX drivers use here to determine the effectiveness of GPS units on the trucks among other things. Any and all thoughts on how I can gather this information would be appreciated.

My package arrived at my local fedex location today at 10:44, at 3:11 it was in transit. How long should it take to arrive?

It depends on how it was shipped and where it was shipped to.
FedEx has several different levels of service. They offer Next Day Delivery (but probably not from California to Europe). They also offer 2nd service and ground service.

If you’re shipping FedEx Priority Overnight,It’s Next-business-day delivery by 10:30 a.m. To most U.S. Addresses; by noon, 4:30 p.m. Or 5 p.m. In remote areas; by noon, 1:30 p.m. Or 4:30 p.m. On Saturdays.

FedEx Ground service: 1–5 business days within the contiguous U.S.; 3–7 business days to and from Alaska and Hawaii.

FedEx Home is 1–5 business days within the contiguous U.S.; 3–7 business days to and from Alaska and Hawaii.

This is all assuming, of course, that you’re in the US…

So I bought a shirt for my sister at forever 21 that was 13.50 and it didn’t fit her so I went off and bought her another shirt and it was too big that was 19.50 so I just paid the diffrence, I just want to get store credit so i can just give her something else and let her pick online, would it be possible to return it again and just get store credit again? I don’t see why not check the receipt. You could always return without any receipt and get store credit but I think they will be totally fine as long as they still have tags etc on

Facebook question: How do I keep my posts on a particular group from showing up on my news feed?

I am on a couple of buy-sell-trade groups on facebook. Every time I post something on one of those groups it comes up on my newsfeed where all of my FB friends can see it. Is there any way to make it so those posts won’t show up on my newsfeed? I have looked through the settings but I can’t figure anything out.

1.From your home page, hover your mouse to the left of the left side News Feed menu.
2.Select Edit
3.A list of people, apps, Pages, and groups you’ve hidden or unsubscribed from will appear in a pop-up box. Click the X next to each one you’d like to remove from this list. Removing someone or something from your list of hidden stories means those stories can appear in your News Feed again.
4.Click Save.

How long does facebook let you keep your account deactivated for?

Does facebook ever delete your account? Would I be able to keep it deactivated for three years and then log in and use it just like I used to? Or is facebook going to delete my account?

Facebook does not delete deactivated accounts… Even if you logged on after maybe a year or 2 the account would still be there and all you would have to do is reactivate it via confirmation email activation. Facebook however do delete accounts if you have deactivated it and request it to be deleted, if this is done then, if you ever decided to use a facebook account again you would have to create a completely new one. Deactiavted accounts would still hold information on the database as deleted accounts would have all data removed.

Correct… Hate to break this to you but nothing ever gets deleted from a database on Social Networking sites. The same as all MYSQL Databases. When uses request there Account to be deleted… The data of that user is still intact, it has just been deactivated. It is kind of impossible to actually delete a users account within a database. Which is why Social Network sites seriously rape users privacy, and I dun even think that they even mention it in their privacy statements. So use these Social Networking sites at your own risk.. You have very little privacy on them.
If you delete your account it doesn’t stay deleted in many cases.

I am looking at a 2004 sea fox 23‘ with a mercury 200 xl swb is that an opti max or just a regular saltwater engine.

No, that is a 2.5L, carbureted, oil injected 2 sroke. Optis are DFI (direct fuel injection). The 2.5 is a tried and tested Merc winner, I have 2, a 200 XRI, and a 2.5 EFI sport, 260+hp. As far as GPH, that really depends on the hull, the water conditions, and how hard you lean on the black handle.
Just a note, don’t you hate people who give uninformed or nonsense answers for the sake of 2 little points? What losers.

No signal on my TV, no bad weather?

I have a TV with the digital converter box connected as well as an antenna, however, recently all my channels except Fox 23 has turned into a blank screen with a “No signal” flashing around. The weather’s been fine, sunny days and everything. Before, when the weather was bad, the no signal would occasionally show up, but now, the only channel available to me is Fox. Any suggestions on why this is and how I could fix it?
I don’t have cable. Just regular local TV.

If you have one station working then your TV and converter box should be okay. What you can do is go to “setup” or “menu” or whatever your remote has to get you to the place where you do an autoscan. After you do the new autoscan did your stations improve or not?

Digital gives you a good picture and even more channels on some numbers but the placement of the antenna is picky! What type of antenna do you have. I get over 15 channels just using cheap antennas. Some of those channels have several channels on the same number. BUT I have to adjust the antenna for some channels all the time! With an indoor antenna I find with my setups that there is no “one place” is good for all of the stations I want!

Do some experimenting. Adjust your antenna and use the autoscan. See what channels you get then. Write down the channels you get. Then move the antenna to a different place or direction depending on what type of antenna you have. Do another autoscan. Did you get more channels this time or less. I do have the old rabbit ear type antennas and I have a new “all in one” flat antenna that is around the size of the converter box except not so thick. If you have one of them try to graph out where each location is to get what channel. Sometimes you just have to get up and move the antenna for your favorite station!

If you have an outside antenna you may have to point it in a different direction. One of my TV sets with the cheapest of antennas, a dollar store rabbit ear type and an old UHF bow tie gives me a good reception too! I read a few things that said the digital may be all VHF but when I try that I get fewer stations with just the rabbit ears. When I added the UHF bow tie antenna I got more stations.

Double check the connections. A loose connection will still work on strong nearby TV stations. Make sure the connections are tight.

Its fairly simple…..try this….
–On internet explorer
—on the top of the screen go to Tools
–internet properties (options)
—-and delete history, cookies, and temporary files
—and your done….
