Well first of all, you won’t be able to go to their profiles. Secondly, no profile picture will show up in any of their posts, and thirdly, their name will appear as “Facebook User”. If the name is their normal name and not “Facebook User” then that means they have chosen to block you. If they have chosen to block you, their profile pictures will not show, their names will be black and unclickable. They will also not appear in any friend’s mutual friends list and will not appear in your searches. Unfortunately, there is no way to know which it is without doing one of these:

1) Asking someone you know was their friend on Facebook if the account is still active
OR
2) Actually asking that person.

To answer your other question, no. You can reactivate your account. But what’s the point in deactivating it in the first place, if you are just going to reactivate it?

When you signed up, you probably added your email address, and there is a check box that asks if you would like to allow facebook to add your contacts from that email address. You probably didnt uncheck it.

Not 100% sure, but i think you can remove your email contacts from your facebook ones in the settings somewhere.

I would seriously suggest you not installing that app on your phone. It totally screwed up my BB calender. The only good thing it did was put the pictures of the people from facebook in my contacts but everything else was a mess.

Bookmarks… -> Organize Bookmarks opens a new window, click on Import and Backup to create a backup of them, copy that backup to a flash drive, then on the new PC do the same thing but Import from your flash drive.

Some symbols may not show because your computer does not contain the font set and/or your browser is not set to the correct Character Encoding. Changing browser’s encoding is usually done from its View Menu.

If you see squares or question marks instead of the symbol you need to make sure you have the language pack installed necessary to show the symbols.

Installing Windows XP Language Packs:

(depending on the version of XP you have, you may need to insert your Windows XP Setup CD) then go to Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs >> Windows Components scroll down in the list and put a checkmark next to “language packs”. The one at Prime outlets on International Drive is huge! They had so much room for everything there plus the outlets are great – Betsey Johnson had dresses down from $400 to $75!
Otherwise, the one at Florida Mall sucks but the Florida Mall is a pretty decent mall.

No, it is very inexpensive actually. The irony in it is that their stuff is super cute and looks like stuff you could find at the designer shops like urban outfitters, cache, express, etc. I’ve gotten shirts on sale for as low as 5 dollars. At most, their shirts will be 25-30 dollars. The other thing is their accessories, they are super cute & look like finds from a boutique. Seriously, ive found cool necklaces for 4 dollars & their necklaces never usually exceed 8 dollars. I have found interesting pieces such as a rhinestone sparrow, an owl pendant, a giant rhinestone bow, a sunglasses pendant, and many more. All under 7 dollars. Their competetors or stores just like forever 21 are charlotte russe and wetseal- cute stuff for cheap. However, i think forever 21 carries styles that are more unique and european. Oh yeah, h&m compares as well. Hope this helps.

I did not know this until you asked this question but I guess Fox News wasn’t carried nationally until 2001. So, I guess we don’t know what they were like before Bush. Hannity and Colmes was on at the beginning though, in 1997 and so was O’Reilly. So I think the smaller version of FN was pretty much the same as it is now. It was fun reading this stuff. I guess Ted Turner put up quite the stink about letting Fox News onto Time Warner Cable. LOL. I think I love Ted Turner now.

First make no mistake, I am a huge Obama fan.

However I have been complaining for years that the networks should take turns with these press conferences, no real reason to have the same thing on all the stations. I mean CBS, NBC, ABC, and the other little networks. Admittedly it was because I could not stand watching or listening to Bush, but the principle is valid and I think applies to all presidents.

Cable News is another story however. One would think that Cable News should cover all of these. To be clear, was it the Fox tv channel that didn’t cover or the Fox Cable News channel? Fox tv I could care less but Fox Cable News should be covering it.

She can get it to start in the spring 09. She needs to go online at http://fafsa.ed.gov and select the 2008-2009 fafsa. If she is starting school next week and is just now applying, her aid won’t be processed by the time school starts, but she can still get it. They can can still process it after the semester starts. If the school wants money before, maybe she can borrow it from someone. Some schools will let you attend classes with an outstanding balance as long as you have fin aid pending.

This was my experience.

Did FAFSA, processed 1 day later, my school got it a few days later, they asked for verification, I printed out the Dependent Verification form I was asked to fill out and attach my parents IRS tax form 2009, I gave it to my Financial Aid Office personally however you can mail this if you are too far away, THREE weeks later, it verified and has “satisfied requirements and processed”, so my status says in my schools website. Now, you will receive the money shortly before classes start. What happens is, they need to determine how much you need so in order to do that, they have to see how many classes you are signed up for, and estimate what you’d need for books etc. However, for the cost of tuition, you don’t get the money, the school does. For books however, you get a check in the mail.

If there’s any money left back, you keep it. 😀

You need to talk to your schools financial aid department to get accurate answers. Call them, e-mail them, go see them in person – but talk to them.

If you filled out the FAFSA you should have gotten an e-mail or letter from them saying they received it, and you should have an estimated family contribution as well as something from the school with an estimated amount of financial aid pending.

However, though most students DO get aid through the FAFSA if your parents make too much money you may not qualify. Which is why you need to talk to your schools financial aid department to make sure that you received money – and how much. If you applied late you would get less than the students who applied early as well. The amount given is determined by need, but there is only so much to give – early applicants get more.

As for reimbursement, that is a policy determined by the school. Any money from federal aid that is NOT used for school goes directly to you in a check or direct deposit to be used how you see fit. So if you got full payment, and had to pay for school before it was given to you, the school may reimburse you or they may just give you the full amount in a check.

Again, to get accurate answers for your school contact your financial aid department. And I’d say as soon as possible is best. E-mail them, then follow up with a call to make an appointment.

The post office does it all the time. My sister lives in Maryland and has repeatedly asked the post office to keep her packages and she will pick them up herself. They can leave notices. They never do and she has had several packages stolen from her front door. FedEx and UPS do it all the time to me but fortunately I live in an area that is somewhat isolated from mainstream traffic and I have a big dog so I haven’t lost any packages because of that. I don’t think you can sue them. Call the main office and see if you can request for them to leave you notification whenever you have a package.

It’s logging you out because it’s deleting all the tracking cookies that websites have planted on your computer. That is a very GOOD thing! However, Facebook, Yahoo, Gmail, etc all use cookies, too.

Find where you can set your “Preferences” or “Options” and then find where you can allow certain cookies to remain on the computer. I’m running FF 3.5 and can’t recall at this time the exact path to take to get there. It’s either under Edit or Tools. Once you find Preferences or Options go to Privacy and then under the Cookies section set your Exceptions to allow the particular sites you want to stay logged into.
