It seems as though you might have Facebook set as your homepage. You can change this, for example (to Google) by going to google.com and under the search engine there should be a thing that says “make google my homepage” simply click it and follow any further instructions that come

Google search, click on Login to Facebook, window opens to some kind of displaced picture of oriental writing.

First, make sure you are actually at facebook.com. Instead of searching for the site, just enter the URL into your browser’s address bar.

Secondly, it’s possible your language setting was changed. Go to http://www.facebook.com/editaccount.php?language to set it back to English.

If you are using google chrome, follow these steps.
1)press ctrl+h- This shows your history.
2)On the right top of the page, select edit items
3)click on ‘clear all browsing data’

If you’re using Internet explorer,
1)click on ‘tools’ on the toolbar
2)select ‘internet options’
3)click on ‘delete browsing history’

This should do.

After how many Facebook login attempts do they notify you?

Hi, I have a Facebook account and had no trouble trying to log in. I only once put in the wrong password, but got it right the second time. However, I got an email from Facebook saying sorry I struggled to get in and link on how to reset my password. Is this really from Facebook or a way for hackers to get into my account? I find it weird that they emailed me after just getting my password wrong once.

I have a French project due on Thursday, and I can’t find the recipe I need because it has expired from the Food Network website. I need the recipe for pommiers from Barefoot Contessa, but all I could find is a disgusting lamb recipe. I searched for “pommiers” on Yahoo, and the links were either incomprehensible or completely off topic. Does anyone know how to find Food Network recipes that have expired and are no longer on their site? I need this recipe by Thursday, and I’m almost to the point of giving up.

Go to the bookstore and search the index of Barefoot Contessa / Ina Garten cookbooks. Copy the recipe from there. That’s what I do anyway. At least you know the author and show. That’s half the battle.

The food network offers many good cooks and I learn something new everyday, but Alton Brown does such great scientific/entertaining cooking shows..I love what he uses for props when he is explaining fibers and molecules..etc…..I can’t get enough ….bring it on Alton!

I also love alton brown, he not only explains cooking and how it works but how to choose the right tools for the job as well. But some of his baking tends to be a little plain for me and i usually go a little stronger on the spices or the vanilla or whatever.

Lovemykalli you’re thinking of paula deen. And she’s great but i would never go to her restaurant, has anyone noticed how she always licks her fingers while cooking and then goes back i the food. Or she’ll taste it with a spoon and put the spoon back in. Gross!!

If it’s a weekday game you can get there using a combination of Marc train and Metro. If it’s a Sunday game you’ll have to take Amtrak plus Metro. It’ll take you a few hours and I think getting back the Baltimore after the game will be a problem.

Is it hard to become a pilot for FedEx?

What does it take to become a pilot for FedEx? I know all the entry requirements from their websites but I’m pretty sure that those are just the minimal requirements. Is there anyone that has successfully became a pilot for FedEx that can give me some tips?
And I’m talking about being a pilot for FedEx Express. Is there a height limit that they impose? Because I’m a 163cm short Asian guy.

FedEx is by far one of the hardest airlines to get hired at and for good reason… Almost every airline pilot would love to work there. The pay and job stability are very good there.

If you want to become a pilot for fedex there is only one single thing that really matters, and that is knowing pilots at fedex. Now, I don’t just mean that you met a fedex pilot once in a jumpseat. I mean, you have to know fedex pilots that have not only flown professionally with you but who would also write letters of recommendation. One of them has to sponsor you, and a fedex pilot can only sponsor one candidate per year (at least, that’s how it used to be) so it generally has to be a very good contact. You will also need to meet their minimums, which most likely includes at least 1000 PIC turbine time.

I know several guys who went to FedEx. None of them were necessarily perfect pilots. They were average guys, with no more than a few thousands hours. They did, however, all have very good contacts there.

Received my tracking number just now for an item purchased online. Used the number and so far, there’s no information regarding about it just yet. Perhaps tonight…

Anyway, does FEDEX Ground do deliveries on a Saturday?
Since that’s a weekend, our family goes out for recreational fun, if ever the FEDEX Ground guys deliver on Saturday and no one is at home to receive, what exactly will they do?

Well if the package is going to a home -Fedex home delivery will
deliver the package on Saturday at no additional charge
and what sometimes happens a company will print a shipping label
with a tracking number which automatically notify Fedex to EXPECT a package with that tracking number for them to pick up or deliver to a fedex station or office.
As for delivering if the package doesnt required a signature they will
leave the package at your front door
if it need a signature a door tag will be left for you to sign

i want to be a chef one day
and i absolutely love food network and watch it almost all of the time
so i was wondering how old you have to be to intern there or anywhere in general and if anyone knows how i could intern at food network specifically.

Well, if you could get into a school for that some have an internship all ready planed out for you. Otherwise try to contact some of those places. I would imagine that its pretty hard to get onto the food network but its a great goal to shoot for. Also it depends on where you are right now, because you don’t wanna try to get a internship across the country. So look for schools for food and check if the have any internship plans or if they could get you one. Otherwise ask around, check the papers or it. Good luck.

Just recently the food network has been cutoff from my tv, all other channels still work. does anyone know why this happened?

In the area i live in, comcast is going all digital, which means you will need a digital transition adaptor to recieve all your channels

I’ve been on unemployment since September ’10 (it ends either this October or next October) and I want to go to school full time. Will getting unemployment benefits affect how much financial aid i can get based on my income? Or does FAFSA not count unemployment benefits?

This may sound silly but is there really no way to bypass having to involve my parents in filling out a FAFSA application? I live on my own but I am not over 24yrs old. I guess that is the big kicker…

When do you start filling out FAFSA and other scholarships for UC or CSU? is it before there deadline (Nov. 30) or afterwards?

The FAFSA is available online on January 1st of the new year (so you definitley can’t fill it out in November.) No school really tells you when you should apply for your FAFSA, but the sooner the better. (It’s said that the earlier you apply, the more financial aid you could possibly get.) However, one problem is that you have to get your taxes/income from your family’s (and your own, if applicable) employers – which usually takes at least until february or march. The earlier the better, though.

It just means that yours was pulled at random for them to double check all the information on your application. As long as you honestly answered everything then there’s nothing to worry about.

alright…so many of my friends have a facebook page and i’d like one too. my parents only talk negatively about MySpace, online chat rooms, etc. i don’t have a cell phone, which will be one of my points when trying to convince them to let me get one. what are some other points i can make to persuade my parents to let me get one?

Just make sure they know that facebook is NOTHING like myspace!! Facebook you can make it completely private where no one can see who you are unless you want them to!! Oh yeah and do your chores, maybe even do some without them having to ask you to do them, that always worked for me when I was junior high and high school 🙂

how do u delete a facebook and pictures other take of u. i dont think it is fair that anyone can take a pic of you and just post it up. it really is annoying when a photo u dont like is up and everyone can see the pic u dont like . Its still on there page if they untag u

You can’t delete pictures that others put up of you unless they take it down themselves…

Deleting your facebook doesn’t help either… The pictures will still remain there. But if you want to delete your facebook, you go to Account>Deactivate Account.

The only option I see is if you ask the person to take it down. I’m assuming it’s a friend or someone that you know that put it up, just ask them nicely. Say something like, “I really don’t like that picture of me that you put up, can you please take it down?” If they really see that you don’t want it up, they might be nice enough to take it down… But honestly, there’s no way of forcing them to take it down.

When u go to bumpersticker, click on upload sticker or somethin like that and then it will go to your my pictures but u have to have a pic of something such as a type of graphic or something u created on ur computer and u can upload it and then ur done!

ok, i am 15 years old and i want to have a facebook account. I’m not going to be innapropriete things on there i just want one so i can meet new frineds and just mess around with my friens on there and talk to them because they all have facebooks except me. So i decided to talk to my mom about it, and she said i could but she would want my password and to be allowed to look on my profile and my friends profiles too. I was cool with all that except for the part about her looking at my friends files. I know they have some bad stuff and shes kind of like crazy and would like start talking to their parents and them about it. Any tips? I really really want one so please help. And I don’t want to create fake ones or just make one even if she says no. She always figures it out when I do that.

I suggest you tell her that at the age of 15 you are old enough to understand there are many inappropriate things on the net.

You should tell her it makes you feel uncomfortable looking at your files as well as your friends’, and tell her the truth that they do host bad content sometimes, but it’s normal for a teenagers. Just chill, man. Nothing to worry about.

Exactly how big is the dog? How old is it? If it is still a pup go with the smaller one especially if it isn’t house trained. If a dog knows it can escape its pee/poop it is more likely to while it is in its crate. When I say escape I mean not have to lay in it. Your dog should have enough room to stand up and turn around. If it can’t do that then it is too small, if it can it is just right. Don’t give it more room than it needs. Hope this helps! 🙂

She’s quite tall, i’ve read in celebrity magazines like Heat and the like, about 5ft 8 probably… Idk know exactly. She is thin, but because she’s tall i doubt her waist is 23 inches. It’s more likely to be about 25 inches.
